Taj West End, Bengaluru

My experience at Taj West was truly outstanding and deserves nothing less than a 7-star rating! ​From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was impeccable. The security guard at the gate welcomed me with genuine pleasure and a warm, traditional Namaste gesture (hands closed together), and was incredibly helpful, guiding me immediately to the location where our program was being held. ​The property itself is truly grand and beautiful—it felt genuinely blessed just to enter. The food was absolutely delicious and the facilities are all perfectly maintained. What stood out most was the entire team; every staff member was good-natured, cooperative, and helpful. A special note of praise must go to the dedicated cleaning staff who work tirelessly to keep the washrooms spotless and all areas pristine. ​Thank you, Taj, for delivering such a magnificent and unforgettable experience.

Truly taj experience. One of the best within Bangalore. Very classy vibes due to vintage building. The only negative point is small rooms outside the main building. 17 series rooms are good but 18 series are too small and also outside. Breakfast spread is good as well.

Taj West End is a phenomenal property. The grounds feel like a tropical forest in the middle of Bangalore, with towering palms, monsteras, and lush greenery everywhere. The rooms were quiet, spotless, and very comfortable, and the location and food offerings were both excellent. The only letdown was the front desk service. Multiple people in our group had slow, oddly disengaged interactions, including with Laxita. Simple questions took far longer than expected and the hospitality felt forced rather than genuine. Despite that, we would absolutely return. The property itself is exceptional and truly one of a kind.

The Taj West End is a beautiful property set in landscaped grounds with spectacular specimen trees and tropical plantings. Rooms are extremely well appointed and we enjoyed the bars at both Blue Ginger and Loya and breakfasts at Machan. Special thanks to our concierge Mohammed whose assistance made our stay truly remarkable. When we learned that safaris were cancelled in Nagarhole National Park, he helped us quickly rebook from a safari lodge there to 3 nights at theTaj Madekeri in Coorg (also excellent), and booked us a great driver (Mani) for the duration of our stay in Coorg. He also went above and beyond in getting one if our iPhones repaired, booking us restaurants, and arranging for drivers and a tour guide in Bangalore. Thank you Mohammed! I would recommend the Taj West End without hesitation. A wonderful stay.

Beautiful heritage property. Stayed here for a weekend with my family including a 4 yo. We had a wonderful stay. They have beautiful lawns and garden - it's an excellent place to wind down in the city.

Probably the best 5 star hotel in Bangalore. Spread over 16 acres+ it is a mini resort. Great place for corporate events and weddings! We had done by offsite here and enjoyed every bit of experience. Food at Loya was delicious and hospitality top notch.

A heritage hotel rich in history and still beautifully maintain. The Taj West End has one of the most beautiful landscape and gardens with rain trees of centuries old surrounding the property. It is a bit away from the hustle and bustle of MG Road which is great as it translate into quieter nights for us. You can order an Uber if you need to go shopping. Rooms where beautifully decorated, marrying British and Indian decor beautifully. The property, however, showing signs of wear and tear. In our room, the most evident is the shower cubicle. ||Hospitality for staff was a hit or miss. A big shout out to Divesh for making my little one, Charlie, thrilled to bits with his attentive service. His warmth and commitment to service reminisces of what we had in MO Bangkok. The housekeeping crew were also attentive. We stayed at room 1109. Most staff we encountered were polite albeit devoid of warmth, which is a pity because given such a beautiful property, just small touches can help elevate the guests stay experience. Hint: Eye contact is lacking. ||Breakfast I felt could be a better spread. I felt the spread is a bit dull. ||Overall the hotel is worth a stay and is kid friendly.

We enjoyed the Taj West End so much that we actually extended our initial booking just to soak in the luxury for another day. The property is undeniably stunning and the staff generally live up to the legendary reputation. It was shaping up to be a flawless experience until the very moment we checked out. We understand that the hotel is famous for its lush greenery and birdlife, but we didn't expect to take quite so much of nature home with us. When the valet pulled our car around, it was absolutely plastered in bird droppings and dirt. I know outdoor parking is a reality, but for a 5-star hotel to hand over a guest’s vehicle in that condition without even a courtesy rinse or a quick wipe down is baffling. It seems the Tajness stops at the lobby doors. Driving away in a filthy car was certainly a memorable way to end the trip, just not in the way the hotel intended. It is a shame that such a high-end stay had such a messy finish.
