I knew it as a solid and classic Japanese restaurant, which it still is to an extent, the sushi/sashimi dishes were fine as expected; too bad it's become inexcusably overpriced whilst obviously cutting back on the size of the sushi platters. Desserts underwhelming.

Exquisite serving, proper selection of ingredients including some original japanese flavors (red bean dessert and sesame ice cream are delicious), elite low-light ambience and expectedly high price. Grazie!

This was amazing. The host was so friendly and knowledgeable. Lala helped us when we had trouble with our Italian and was so kind. Overall, it was a great experience with fantastic food.

Good quality of food and service :-) Also they have diverse Japanese menu other than sushi stuff.. We were so hungry and ordered 4-5 different ones and all of them were damn good! One of the best sushi in Rome I think. Price is a bit higher than normal sushi restaurants but not extremely expensive. I want to go again 🤤

Ok. The restaurant is welcoming. The food leaves quite a bit to desire. Not sure what’s going on behind the scenez… but I’ve tasted much better fast food around the corner so to speak. Waiters are inadequate such as expertise and are not really sure what they are doing so it seemed. Obvious cost reduction thang while trying to maintain a high profile and price tags. One person In particular was worth it all for being coincise and sincerely professional. Made the one time dinner worth the while. Wish there were more like her. Thankfully, her name is Ilenia

The best Japanese restaurant in Rome! Take-away boxes of sushi, weekdays. Really good and fresh sushi and sashimi. Good Coedo beers. Should include motchi filled with ice cream as dessert. That would be just perfect! Also for delivery it's the best! Package is perfect, silky smooth paper, and sushi arrives perfectly (see photo). Taki at home is just as good as Taki at the restaurant! Thanks to Deliveroo and Taki! 👏🏼

Great food, Great experience. If you are looking for great sushi in Roma you must stop by this place and you must have Omar as your waiter. After your dinner try their Green Tea tiramisu. Thank you Omar for great experience

I first came here when I visited Rome 2 years ago when I had been in Italy for 4 weeks, and wanted to try something else besides Italian food... and I'm really glad I came upon this place. I liked it enough that when I visited again a few weeks ago, I went back and had yet again another pleasant experience. The service was great: attentive, very friendly and helpful, and made me feel comfortable. The food is great too, probably some of the best Japanese food I've ever had. And the prices are very reasonable in my opinion, compared to what you'd be paying everywhere else in Rome (for the most part). Also the ambiance I'm a fan of: the décor and design in there is so nice! This place is a high-recommend from me - if you want to try some really great Japanese food in Rome, Taki is the best place to go.

I think this place is absolutely wonderful. The wait staff was very solid and attentive. We grabbed a spot at the sushi bar (one negative is that you cannot actually see the chefs making the food and aren't able to interact with them). Chicken karaage, marinated salmon, sashimi platter, and cold sake. The toro was delicious. The only nigiri we had that was not worth ordering was the anago. Also, shy away from the rolls. Their fish quality is so good yet they destroy it with so much rice and not enough fish - stick to the sashimi offerings. For our first sushi experience in Rome, this was definitely a success compared to places in the states and exceeded many of those experiences.

Came in for dinner after seeing it listed as one of Vogue's recommended restaurants that only locals know about. Food was decent and standard, fish was fresh but despite Japanese sushi chefs, none of the food was mind blowing if you're familiar with Japanese food. Recommend if you're in the neighborhood and wanted something other than typical Italian food, but don't go out of your way.

The food and ambience is very good. However, the prices are extremely high, among the highest I have come across in all my international traveling. A California roll was running €18, a piece of Teriyaki salmon was €17 without any sides, a bowl of rice €3.50, a miso soup runs €5. While the food is great, it's not 200% better than any other good sushi restaurant, but it's 2x-2.5x more expensive. That is the main reason I give this place a 3 star rating. Everything has to be balanced right for a 5 star rating.

We needed a break from Pasta and Pizza and found it here!! Japanese run and appropriate size sushi. Good Zaru Soba (cold noodles) and edamame. Sushi and Sashimi platters are a bit small but tasty. For Italy, it works very well. Fast service and enjoyable.

Very food and very chic. It is were all the film stars, writers and directors go for a good plate of sushi. I would recommend this to anyone in Rome.

My husband and I are from Portland, Oregon and we love sushi, I mean LOVE sushi. So after eating a ton (literally) of pasta we wanted some comfort food from home. We Yelp searched and found Taki and thank god that we did!! It was the best dining experience that we have had in Italy after being here for 4 days. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful with the menu that was in Japanese and Italian. She spoke English so we were able to ask for some of our favorite sushi rolls and make some changes. The sushi was fantastic! Extremely fresh and well made!! We HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who loves sushi and if you are wanting some variety in Rome. Just a heads up it is a little pricy, but since sushi is a comfort food and everyone was so welcoming it was a wonderful slice if home for us and worth every penny. Also, we did need to ask for wasabi but they brought us a great mound of it and they had some interesting Italian style options if you are adventurous. And the cheesecake dessert was heavenly. I would add more stars if I could, thank you Taki for a memorable night! :)

A nice surprise to have such good Japanese food in Rome! Sushi & sashimi are high grade. Udon is fresh. If you want a break from Italian food and crave for Japanese, this will be a place to go. Decor is modern and ambience is nice. They have English menu and waiters are fluent in English. When we were there, there were a few Japanese decent customers as well. When peeking over their table, they received a menu in Japanese. The only warning is the price.

My wife and I were vacationing in Italy for two weeks and were getting tired with eating pasta and pizza every night, so we decided to go for sushi. This place (in Rome, Italy) is nicely decorated inside and the music playing was very cool. The sushi available was prepared well with fresh ingredients too and there was a conveyor belt that rotated the prepared sushi around and around.. My only beef was with the pricing. All of the sushi was on a colored plate and each color of plate cost a specific amount of Euros. A plate with 2 pieces of dragon roll cost 5 Euros...way too expensive. If we stayed and ate our normal amount of sushi, it would have cost us well over $250 Euros! The worst part was after we exited the restaurant, we walked past the next restaurant and it was also Taki, but it was the sit down non conveyor belt, table sushi restaurant (a la carte). I felt we would have had a better experience if we knew there was a better version (sit down at a table with no conveyor belt) of sushi restaurant. Oh well, c'est la vie?
