Thank you Cindy & Emily. I’ve been coming to Takumi Japanese BBQ in Mississauga for about 3–4 years now, and somehow this place just keeps getting better. The quality is always consistent, the flavors are on point, and the experience never disappoints. Whether it’s the premium cuts of beef, the fresh seafood, or the perfectly balanced sides, everything is prepared with care and authenticity. Cindy and Emily were fantastic tonight—super friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive. They checked in often without ever feeling overbearing and made the whole dining experience smooth and enjoyable. Service like that is rare these days. Takumi has the perfect atmosphere—modern, warm, and energetic without being too loud. It’s a great spot for date nights, celebrations, or just unwinding with good food and sake. If you appreciate quality Japanese BBQ and great service, this place is a gem. Still one of my top go-to spots in Mississauga. Highly recommended. 🔥🇯🇵

First time to eat lunch at this place. Our family of 5 came with a reservation at 12 noon, then my daughter and her husband with 3 kids arrived separately. We were nicely welcomed. There was a bit of confusion as to where to sit us. On the way to the restaurant, my daughter called and advised me to request for the private dining room which is ideal for small groups, but the servers never mentioned it to us upon arriving, we were already seated at the tables when I received the call, so we just sat down to where we were assigned. After we were served with our orders, I took a peek at the private dining room that my daughter mentioned, I found one of the staff, taking a nap/cellphone break at the room…I wished that room would have been made available for us because we struggled to keep the kids from running around, but I understand that staff needed a power nap too, in a nice, comfortable room. Anyway, food was okay, nothing exceptional, we had to consume the food in 2 hours. When I paid, the staff encouraged me to pay cash, which I did - for a 5% discount. The total charge already included a 15% service charge. Overall experience was good, but it could’ve been better.

We had an amazing experience at TAKUMI, a Japanese BBQ spot! The meat was tender and full of flavor, and grilling at our table added to the fun. Their all-you-can-eat menu offered a wide variety of meats, seafood, and sides, catering to all tastes. The prices were very reasonable for such high-quality food. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring our grill was always clean and we had everything we needed. The cozy atmosphere made it a perfect place for great food and good company. We can’t wait to return!

We had dinner at Takumi Japanese BBQ on June 16, 2025, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. This was our second visit, and just like the first time, we had a great experience. The all-you-can-eat menu offers a wide variety of meats, seafood, and side dishes—plenty of options for everyone. The price is very reasonable, especially considering the generous selection and quality of the food. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure our grill was clean and that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The ambience is relaxed and pleasant, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy good food and company. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

First time here, service was inviting and very quick. Got to try many different types of BBQ items most were amazing and delicious. Recommend the green tea as well, very flavourful and refreshing. Great experience and would highly recommend.

This is my favorite all you can eat restaurant in Toronto, comparing to some other places variety seems less(I think it's more than enough) but quality is top notch. Their sushis are phenomenal. Make sure calling them for reservation as it's generally really busy place.

Google
What a great spot in Mississauga! The food options seem to be limitless! Everything is so fresh and flavourful, I loved the garlic shrimp and the marinated squid, the salmon and the ribs. Their maki rolls are exceptional with delicate and very unique flavours. The service can be a tad slow, they may benefit from hiring a few more waiters. You get a 2 hour limit at sitting.

We had our first visit to Takumi Japanese BBQ in Mississauga, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! We went with a group of friends and it turned into the perfect shared dinner — fun, interactive, and delicious. We had visited the Takumi Ramen just beside but It was our first time trying this Japanese BBQ place, and our waitress was super helpful. She patiently explained the menu, how the grilling works, and gave great recommendations. The quality of the meat was outstanding, and grilling it ourselves added such a fun twist to the meal. The sushi was also a highlight — beautifully plated and full of flavor. The seared beef roll with avocado and sauce was absolutely amazing, and the eel roll with crispy toppings had great texture and depth. The restaurant has a stylish, cozy vibe with cool details like bamboo plants and a wall full of sake. Perfect spot for a casual night out or a special gathering. We’ll definitely be back!

Yelp
Came to Takumi BBQ and Ramen when I was recovering from my wisdom teeth removal and left still wanting more! We came on a Saturday afternoon around 5 pm and were seated immediately, however just be aware that you are unable to place reservations online or through the phone. Service was super quick and even more friendly! Every time a new customer came in, every worker in the establishment greeted them. It definitely livened up the atmosphere. Our food also came almost immediately and even all at once - we were running out of space at our table! Luckily there is space by the windows that you can put your plates on. Our party ordered mostly the beef options, including lamb, and all were great, pretty typical cuts for your usual bbq place. When you order the ribeye, it arrives as whole rib eye steak (2 orders per person), so it's quite the heavy portion! It was good, however slightly on the chewy side. I'm a big fan of all the seasonings they provide on the side, including Himalayan salt, Black pepper, some kind of seasoning salt, bbq sauce, spicy bbq sauce, ponzu, and the best part of all bbq restaurants, the spicy seasoning powder. If you found the meats here bland, then you aren't using the sauces and spices properly! Pro tip is to season with salt and pepper, then once you finished cooking it dip it into your sauce of choice and then into the spicy seasoning mix - absolutely heaven. Even though I couldn't have everything due to diet restrictions after wisdom teeth extractions, the standouts were definitely the boneless beef short rib and marinated beef short rib, garlic shrimp, the poke bowl with spicy mayo, and the black forest roll. The salmon onigiri was a bit of a miss - essentially some canned tuna with too much mayo placed on a sheet of seaweed. I also wish they had more options for side dishes like bean sprout, but you can order garlic, green onions along with your meat, or garlic oil with your vegetables so that definitely makes up for it! Something interesting they have is their green tea creme brûlée. I was a fan, although definitely leaning towards more of a mousse/light cheesecake texture rather than crème brûlée. Their ice cream scoops come in the tiny foam cups you used to get in elementary school - but even so the ice cream still slaps! Mississauga is a bit of ways from where I live but I would definitely come back if I was in the area. Possibly one of my top 3 AYCE BBQ places I've been to!

Yelp
Takumi is good in terms of selection, quality, and service. Although it's not our number 1 pick for AYCE bbq, it's definitely our backup when we can't get a table elsewhere. The quality and types of meats offered are pretty standard for AYCE bbq, but bonus points to them for their sushi and drink options. The wait isn't as long here and you can call ahead to see the current wait times, which we found have been pretty accurate. If you don't want a wait, lunch on the weekday is your best bet.

Yelp
Nothing to say much but just Canadian style all you can eat Korean buffet. We'd like you to have more Korean style picked etc. our attendant has luck of knowledge of foods and Korean seasonings

Yelp
We chose to have a quick dinner at the Ramen section on a Thursday night. Service was prompt and table was cleared in a timely manner. Food was a a good portion and arrived quickly. The tako wasabi was so good we decided to order a second after finishing our ramen. Music played in the background was upbeat and created a great atmosphere - not loud enough to cover conversations. Price was decent around $15-17 for the ramen and $6 for the tako wasabi.

Yelp
Delicious food, nice atmosphere. The variety of meats and appetizers was good. Tried kalbi, brisket, sausage, chicken. Highly recommend their signature sushi roll, yam fries, and beef taco. I would pass on the salmon onigiri, it didn't look like onigiri or salmon and the eel roll. The dessert options were not great. They only had one of the listed dessert options available because they rotate through yuzu Brule, matcha Brule, mango yogurt. There's also your choice of melona...but come on. I just paid $44 for an all you can eat and all I can get is matcha brulee or melona? Service was friendly and quick.

Yelp
Good food and fast service for dinner, $45 per person all you can eat. The place was packed but didn't seem like it and the amount of staff cleaning off the tables and bringing you food was amazing. It all tasted great and the Ribeye steak (limit 2 per person) was good. It was a good size (thin) but good taste. Had a little bit of everything. Recommend!

Yelp
Service is great, ambiance is average, table and bbq grill is clean, food quality at 3 star. The choices of desserts are very limited. There were 3 sauces on the table for cooking, still overall felt bit blunt. Our server was very friendly and was doing above and beyond to offer best services.

Yelp
$40 CAD for AYCE Japanese BBQ. There's amazing sides that include sushi, Korean noodles, dessert, etc. my friend and I didn't focus on the side dishes as much so we could eat the meat but the appetizers were plentiful. The quality of the meat was superb, the service was efficient, and the ambiance of the restaurant was fun and exciting. My friend and I came around 6 pm on a weekday and were seated right away. Do note that there's a set price for the AYCE for Monday - Thursday. The Friday - Sunday price is more expensive. Standouts for me were the sake clams, the garlic shrimp, brisket, taro melona, and the sushi. There's plenty of parking around the area and it's free. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try when you're in the area.

Yelp
I would definitely consider this place one of the better ayce options in Mississauga. My friends and I came at around 5:45 on a weekday and plenty of seats left. They do not take reservations, so I usually try to go earlier to be seated right away. For our first round, we pretty much ordered all of the beef and pork options along with some appetizers. The food came out all in one round and filled up the whole table. They also have a limit of 2 pieces of ribeye, but the pieces are massive! We had to cut it using scissors provided. I did find some of the marinated meats a bit salty, but my friend seemed to like it so more of a personal preference. Standout dishes: pork cheeks (had a good fat ratio and didn't take long to cook), cheesy mussels (drool... so good), sake calms, and the thick cut pork belly. The service was also very good. The staff came by to change our grill 3 times without us having to flag them down. They also were quite attentive at removing our dishes from the table once we were done. They also did let us know that we were approaching the 2 hour dining limit by giving us a chance to do last call orders. Overall, it is a great place to hang out with friends and do ayce. They also have a great variety of food options that are not meat, so everyone can find something that they like. They do change up the desserts they have. When I went, only the yuzu creme Brulee was available, as well as strawberry/melon melona.

Yelp
Very tasty Japanese BBQ and it shows, there was a huge line for this place! Their sister restaurant which is an attached ramen place didn't have a wait at all lol. They don't take reservations so you have to walk-in and join their digital waitlist. They will text you when your table is ready so you can do other stuff while you wait. Our server, Harry, was really great! He gave great recommendations and was able to tell us how many pieces were in each order. He was very attentive and it was really easy to catch his eye to put in another order. This is important since you have a 2 hour seating limit. Unlike other Japanese AYCE places, they have a lot of side dishes like poke bowls and sushi/maki for order as well! We tried the Takumi signature roll which has cooked beef and even apple in it. Our favourites of the cook-your-own meats were: 1. Definitely the rib-eye which was a thicker cut and limited to 2 pieces per guest, 2. Marinated lamb which was thin cut but tasty and cooked quickly, and 3. The sake marinated clams which come in a foil dish for to steam over the grill.

Yelp
Food is really good too bad we live all the way from maryland, servers are really fast

Yelp
I had doubts about Takumi because they have a big menu - JBBQ, ramen, sushi, everyone's favourite Japanese foods all in one place? It is difficult to maintain a large menu without compromising quality. But I am glad I finally tried this as it did not disappoint. Meat was marinated well and tender, while seafood and veggies were fresh. The servers waste no time in bringing the food to you and we had a great feast. People will compare this to Gyubee as they are around the same price range and are direct competitors. In a way, I like Takumi more as they have more food options that I can grill on, especially seafood. The appetizers are great too for those that do not want to focus on meat, such as Sushi, Bibimbap or Takoyaki. Each round of ordering allowed me to try something new and there were still many things I did not try by the time I got full. Maybe next time. My experience reflects their "dinner menu". Also, lines can be long, so come early. Overall, this would become my go-to JBBQ place in Mississauga.

Yelp
Last weekend, I had the pleasure of visiting [BBQ Place Name], renowned for its all-you-can-eat BBQ, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the aroma of grilling meat set the stage for what was to be a fantastic dining experience.

Yelp
We wanted to try Japanese BBQ for the first time, and I turned to Yelp to help us decide which restaurant to try first. After a bit of searching, we decided on Takumi Japanese BBQ, chosen from a shortlist of 3 contenders. There were more Japanese BBQ places than I had expected, which was a good surprise (more options to choose from). It turns out that this restaurant was a good choice for our first Japanese BBQ experience as the food was very good as was the service and atmosphere. The restaurant is in plaza at the corner of Central Parkway and Burnhamthorpe Road, in the place of the former Swiss Chalet, so there was plenty of parking. First impressions when walking into the restaurant is it is very clean and modern with lots of seating. As soon as we walked in, we were seated immediately. This was the also the first dine-in experience for me since the beginning of the pandemic and I was a bit concerned about being in an enclosed space for an extended amount of time, however the restaurant was spacious enough and we were seated in the longer tables with no one around us. This is an AYCE restaurant with a variety of meats and vegetables that you grill. The ones that stood out as being particularly good are the marinated short rib, beef brisket, pork belly, pork shoulder, pork sausage and mushrooms, buttered corn, and the garlic shrimp. We also had a few orders of the poke bowl, the two make sushi offerings (Fougerite, Buda's Delight), and several appetizers such as the deep fried gyoza, and cold tofu. The meats were all very good quality and well prepared with minimal seasoning. The seasoning for the meat comes from the 3 dipping sauces available which were a BBQ sauce, Ponzu and a spicy sauce (not sure what it was called). The prepared food items were a good addition as they added variety beyond the grilled meat and vegetables. Throughout our dining experience, the service was very friendly, informative on how to use the grill and the wait staff continuously ensured that we had clean grills, offering to switch them several times. I really enjoyed the grill your own meat experience, the restaurant was modern and clean, and the service was fast and friendly. I would definitely return to this restaurant again.

Yelp
Been on my list of places to try for a looong time. Verdict: it's now been permanently removed from my list They have a wait list which you have to fill out IN PERSON. So once you arrive, your wait time begins. They don't take reservations or have a virtual wait list which you can join ahead of time. The service was great (once seated), but the food was terrible. There were no seasonings or marinades. Even the ones that are supposed to marinated were bland and lacked any flavour. They also don't have ssamjang or anything to use. They provide salt, pepper, and some green onions if you order the raw meat...and 3 sauces at the table (bbq sauce, bbq dipping liquid, and ponzu) ... but even then, it's extremely bland. I'm seriously doubting all the positive reviews for this place..and if they were from legitimate customers. If they WERE real customers and being honest... they need to try better places lol because if this is "the best you've ever had"...then I feel very sorry for you lol. Honestly, one can easily buy meat and cook it and it would have been a fraction of the price. I honestly feel like I wasted over $140 for something I could have easily elevated on my own (which I DID ...at the table attempting to make it somewhat edible). All the reviews from people saying 'stop waiting in line for gyubee'...etc clearly haven't tried the food worth having, or may not have cooked it the correct way, but either way...I will ABSOLUTELY wait in line for Gyubee any day! Every single time! Unfortunately I dont think I'll be returning or recommending this place to a single person Definitely NOT Worth the price.

Yelp
First time here. Def would recommend coming a bit early due to lineups. We waited outside for almost 40minutes, some people bailed so we got lucky. Meats were good but Id still think gyubee is more fresher and has a larger selection. The seating is crammed and you might elbow your partner. Id go again if it weren't for the long wait.

Yelp
We went on a Saturday for dinner around 5pm (there dinner starts at 4pm) and were seated right away. There was a 2 hour limit for dinner. We ordered almost every meat option, the signature sushi and a couple of prepared foods. The food came REALLY FAST. We probably shouldn't have ordered so many in one go as there was barely space to cook things and we were scrambling to make room for the incoming plates, although we somehow got it to work. Aside from that, the service was good, filling out waters and changing our grills right when we need them. Some of the foods that stood out to me were the kalbi, garlic shrimp, cheese mussels, marinated chicken wing, Mexican spring roll and the signature sushi. But really, everything was good. We also got a comfy booth so there was plenty of space to put our stuff.

Yelp
Went today for a late Valentines Date with my bride. We had recently experienced our first Japanese BBQ in Niagara Falls and love it so much, this is what she chose for dinner. Lucky to have found this place in Mississauga. First off, hands down, top notch service and staff. These guys run a very organized busy place and owned it beginning to the end. We were checked on numerous times and never ran out of any food or drinks. Received plenty of great recommendations and everything was spot on. The food, was plentiful. Whatever you can order and consume, you get. All the meats were superbly marinated and cut. Plenty of stellar flavors to be enjoyed. Particularly enjoyed their seaweed salad, which tends to be one of my favorites at any Japanese restaurant I been to before. One last bit of advise, well two actually: 1. Make a reservation before the day you go 2. If you forgot to do 1 and they don't take any more reservations, which was the case for me today, upon arrival you can put yourself on a walk-up list. When we got there, line was huge. We were told anywhere between 45min to an hour of wait. We took it and sat in the parking lot. At 26, maybe 28 mins, we got the text that our number was up. Let me tell you, best time I've spent waiting yet. Well worth it. I will most definitely be back with my bride and likely the kids next time. Highly recommendable.

Yelp
The service is so quick, I've never had my food come so quick. The waiter was putting my order in live, i wasnt even done ordering and the things I had ordered were already arriving at our table. Most things were pretty good, would come back again.

Yelp
My best friend and I don't get to see each other very often, but we decided that we wanted to go for dinner and we were looking for some all you can eat meaty-goodness. If you are looking for extreme variety, amazing, taste, and great service with some fun, cocktails and mocktails this is the place to be. Definitely recommend the shrimp the sausage the thick cut pork belly cheesy mussels, gyazo And the taco beef spring rolls. Don't forget your mango yogurt. Ask for Layla! She is fantastic!

Yelp
Came here for JBBQ - it was quite popular and busy on a Friday but there was still ample room with the dividers and seating, so I didn't feel anxious even without my mask. We got a bunch of foods, both appetizers and raw meat / seafood. I personally found most of the meat to be under marinated - not sure if that's on purpose, as I recall my JBBQ at other places to be more flavourful. That said, service is quite fast and attentive - they refilled my water many times upon request. A must order is the bone-in beef short ribs. It has great flavour and meaty texture! If you're not one for meat, definitely get the miso squid and garlic shrimp. These were well-marinated options that tasted really good! I loved the kabocha, pineapple, mushrooms, and zucchini as vegetable options. Appetizer-wise, get the tako-wasa (chopped up octopus with wasabi bits)! You can't go wrong. We ordered some sushi too - the filling is very interesting as are the sauces! Second tier options were the beef tongue (thinly sliced, but good bouncy texture to dip into the sauces), pork cheek (interesting texture), boneless beef short-rib (good flavour but less so than the bone-in). Some more mediocre options were the pork belly (flavourless), beef ribeye (super chewy, bland), lamb shoulder (we got the marinated and I still found it tasteless), head-on shrimp (the texture was very mushy), and ika (just normal, unflavoured octopus). They ran out of dessert options, so we just got the mango yogurt and our melona. Overall, a pretty good JBBQ addition to Mississauga and a decent value for the price of $40!!

Yelp
After seeing several good reviews of this place, I came to try it myself as I love BBQ places like this! Unfortunately, I found the meats very bland. I wish they were marinated better, vs me having to add salt/pepper or garlic/green onion to it after. It was just okay, I don't think I would return though.

Yelp
Great BBQ spot with excellent decor, lots of variety on the menu, and fast service that keeps the food coming. First time coming here as we were craving some BBQ. We opted for lunch and ordered a large spread of dishes to try everything out. All the sides are good and work nicely with grilled meat to balance out the oilyness. My table all agreed the garlic shrimp, miso squid, pork belly, and marinated beef short rib were the best of all meats as they were thicker and retained their juiciness post-grilling. Other meats like pork shoulder and beef brisket we found a bit drier when grilled as they were thinner cut, but that's just preference. Sides range from decent to good; my favourites were the gyoza (very crispy), buttered corn, and spicy cabbage slaw (the sauce is intense in sourness but I liked it). There's a lot of variety in the temperatures and textures in the sides from cold tofu to hot miso soup to even maki rolls and mini poke bowls that all help mix up the meal from just grilled meat/veggies and cleanse the palate. Items I found decent were salads, the cold tofu, and poke; the sauce for these dishes could use some more work as they felt kind of basic. Halfway into the meal we noticed the ponzu and spicy sauce at the side of the table - I highly recommend the spicy sauce as it gave some meats an extra kick of flavour and made it less dry. Dessert was a nice coconut flavour Melona bar, excellent for balancing out 1+ hr of simmering next to a hot grill. All in all a solid AYCE BBQ experience; the grill is nice and hot, so it grills relatively quickly. The service is great as well - the servers kept coming to check in on us to see if we wanted to order more and changed our grill. The whole restaurant is nicely decorated and feels cozy; lots of space for bigger parties too, when things reopen. Location is also solid. I'll definitely be back for more, especially once it snows!

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place, amazing quality and selection of meats and sushi! Was here for All you can eat dinner menu which had a great selection of beef, pork, chicken, various seafood and vegetables. I would highly recommend any of the beef and thin sliced pork belly. The oyster mushrooms was also amazing with the sauce they provided. I was presently surprised by their sushi! We tried all 4 types and they were all amazing :) I would say the only downside is the limited 2 hour seating time. The price was pretty reasonable at around $50/person after tax. Overall a very enjoyable experience!

Yelp
More of a 4.5. Came on a Wednesday night with 2 friends. I had made reservations for 6pm the week before with no issues. And yes, luckily they do take reservations on weeknights for small groups. We were seated right away and the service was off to an amazing start. The server asked if it was our first time there and we said yes and she explained a bunch of things. We decided to start with all the apps first and ordered the meat a little later. Their apps selection is abundant. which we really appreciated. I particularly enjoyed the gyoza and the taco spring rolls were interesting. I had thought their house salad was what you'd typically get at AYCE with that sesame dressing but it had a balsamic dressing that I wasn't a fan of. It was just too salty for me. For the meats, I only tried the beef brisket, marinated short rib, boneless short rib, rib eye and marinated chicken wings. My gfs and I aren't usually interested in the pork or chicken for safety lol. But I had to try the chicken wings since I've never had chicken wings at an AYCE before. The wings were actually very good but I got paranoid that they weren't fully cooked and basically only ate like 2-3 bites from each wing lol. The ribeye was probably the tastiest out of the beef. We all agreed that the apps options here were much better than Gyubee but we preferred the meat selection at Gyubee more. Oh also Gyubee doesn't take reservations for groups smaller than 6. Both places basically have the same options for dessert. The three of us stuck to our usual taro melona, which was delicious as always. Oh ya the customer service was great and servers came by often. Even changing our grill without asking. So that was nice. It's nice seeing more Japanese BBQ AYCE places popping up. I intend to try all of them lol.

Yelp
Takumi offers a mix of bbq meats, sushi, and other variety of cooked foods. The quality of the meats aren't as a good as gyubees. It's really spacious with tons of seatings for small and big group of parties. The service is really good here. Ample free parking spaces in the plaza.

Yelp
I waited about 1 hour and 45 minutes for a table. I mean the food was good, but I don't know if it was worth the wait. The servers were very quick and polite. The restaurant was very boisterous and packed with people.

Yelp
Soo me and my bestie tried korean bbq together for the first time and this is our honest review: Tip 1- don't go here if you're super hungry as you will cook your own food.lol ..it was a fun experience though as restaurant risk takers like us.. we love being served and not cooking lol hahahaha ..you need to try it though. 1.customer service- 5/5 our server is really accommodating and helpful with the recommendations, this is our first time and he gave us options 2.ambiance -4.5/5 I love the ambiance and how it's convenient to cook ,a little scary if it gets to hot. Also you will be leaving smelling like food so I deducted 0.5 star from the rating . 3.options -4.5/5 - we were looking forward to the complete ayce experience;however it's in the dinner which is a different price,so we opted the lunch as it's cheaper and we just want to try it. All in all a wonderful experience.. try it to experience

Yelp
(4.5/5) We stumbled upon Takumi after a hike nearby, and I'm really glad we chose this place for lunch! Immediately when we walked in, we were greeted warmly in Japanese. The service stayed attentive for our entire time at the restaurant (i.e. frequent water refills, proactively replacing our grill). It was a Friday afternoon, so maybe half the tables were occupied. They do have tall transparent dividers between each booth in case the place was more full. We tried almost every protein on the lunch menu - standouts for me were the beef brisket, (thin) pork belly, and shrimp. I also really enjoyed their miso soup and deep-fried gyozas. For $25.99, I think it was decent value for AYCE, but would've loved to see a little more variety (like on their dinner menu). Overall, this is an appropriately-priced AYCE option with quality to match. If you're in the area, I'd certainly recommend Takumi for JBBQ.

Yelp
We celebrated my son's 19th birthday at this AYCE buffet on Sat evening. We ordered everything that was well-reviewed by past diners at this place: baby back ribs, boneless beef which we had plenty of servings of, a ton of shrimp, salmon, chicken breast, sake clams, takoyaki, bibimbap and miso soup, takumi house roll, creme brulee. The bibimbap was blah..nothing to write home about, but we loved the boneless beef, shrimps and sake clams. The creme brulee was also amazing and I wish I can have that every day. Most servers, and especially our server, Paul were very polite, friendly and accommodating. The only thing I could say is, order everything you want off the menu from the start as its hard to catch anyone mid-meal to add to your order. Maybe thats just the busy weekend crowd, not sure..but that is advisable. There were some food items we wanted more of, but because its hard to catch anyone, we never did. Maybe thats an establishment business model so you get good service but keep costs low. There is a 2-hr seating limit, but we never felt rushed. The only other thing is, they dont take reservation for small groups and we had to wait 45-min to be seated, but I guess thats just because of the busy weekend diners.

Yelp
Pro: meat in big portion. And scissors is provided to cut the meat. The waiter waited on us was really nice. Con: some of the meat tastes a bit weird and some is not marinated at all. Tusk if the dipping soy sauce is supposed to be sweet, but I like them sweet. This one is not. The walls of the grill is not that clean. I came to this place from dt Toronto. I think it's not worth the trip.

Yelp
Ww always get quick and friendly service here at Takumi. I love that there are several sushi rolls included with the AYCE price. The experience is enjoyable to grill your own meats and vegetables from a large selection. My only critique would be that the menu stays the same. Some new appetizers on the menu would keep us coming back!

Yelp
This is a great place for all you can eat Japanese BBQ. The appetizers are great so are the side dishes. It is pricey but worth it. I have been to other similar resto and I can't remember enjoying it as much. The service is also pretty good. I plan to come back with the whole fam next time. Best dishes for me were the sushi rolls. They were different from what I normally order anywhere. I also enjoyed the shrimps and meats. At the end of your meal you also get ice cream or cream brûlé or both--all yummy! Make sure you make reservations if you're a group of 6 or more.

Yelp
This BBQ place may be similar to others such as Gyubee and Chako but what set this place apart is their appetizers and their sushi. They seem to put a lot of attention to detail in their appetizer dishes such as their seaweed salad where it comes with avocado and a piece of crunchy lotus chip. Their fried capelin fish with raw onions and lemon on top is to die for! They also have unique sushi rolls that have better quality than you would expect from a buffet. Their seafood selection is just as good as their fellow competitors, but I feel that they lack in their meats department. Personally, the quality of meat/cuts of meat is not as good as Gyubee. Still highly recommend this place, is a great mix to throw in to satisfy your BBQ/sushi cravings!

Yelp
I've eaten at this place multiple times but keep forgetting to drop them a review. If you are in the mood for an all-you-can-eat Japanese BBQ in Mississauga, I would highly recommend Takumi. They have a large selection of items you can pick from and their service is top notch. Everyone is nice and very helpful. There are a bunch of good eats here but I would highly recommend you to try their marinated wasabi octopus. It will definitely clear up your sinus! Keep it up Takumi, you definitely give Gyubee a run for its money!

Yelp
I have been waiting for this place to open for weeks, and it did not disappoint. I went on a Friday night. This place was popping. To keep everyone social distanced, they had guests leave their name, party size, and phone number at the front. We did so and waited excitedly in the car for the phone call. It was a thirty minute wait, which is nothing compared to waits at similar restaurants before the pandemic. The menu here is massive and can satisfy just about every craving. Those not interested in cooking their own meats can get by just fine on the large selection of side dishes, soup, rice, and maki rolls. We came prepared to grill. We got the beef brisket, pork belly, pork chops, beef ribs, sake clams, mussels, and salmon for the grill. I really liked how they had the sauces at the tables for seasoning and didn't over season their meats, since this meant more time eating and less time waving someone down for water. I especially liked the clams and the salmon. The enoki mushrooms were also rich and delicious. I gobbled up the whole tray in about three bites. As for the desserts, we pretty much tried everything on the menu. Everything tasted very good - can never go wrong with melona bars - but the matcha creme brulee really stood out with its intense flavor. Definitely will be back!

Yelp
We visited Takumi Wednesday evening after realizing they were open based on recent Google reviews. They are currently doing a soft opening so there's a 15% discount. No reservations at this time. First come, first serve. Luckily, we were able to get a table for our group without waiting at all. It's probably better to go during the week to avoid long wait times. Service throughout our visit was great. The server recommended all of their best dishes and we got to try them all. The food didn't take long to come out. Everything tasted delicious, no complaints at all. I would highly recommend Takumi BBQ. Also glad there's an AYCE Japanese BBQ in the Mississauga area.

Yelp
everything was really 10/10 from the food to the service, extremely nice staff and comforting environment! waited about 20 minutes on a saturday evening! the price was reasonable for the amount of food you're getting. only thing is you aren't allowed to take food you didn't finish, but that's reasonable since people might take advantage. i will be bringing more friends here!

Yelp
Pretty decent spot in Mississauga for Japanese style bbq. Pros: - Food is good and there usually isn't anything that is not available for order - Large variety of items to order - Price is comparable to other similar establishments - Usually no line for dine-in visits, even during busy hours Cons: - There is no alcoholic drink menu - Service can be improved: 1. One of the servers kept handing us food that we ordered instead of placing it on the table where there was adequate space - this was annoying 2. During final call, we made an order of meat and lettuce but they only gave us the lettuce towards the end of our meal when the meat was basically all done - at the end, we were left with a bowl of lettuce that basically went to waste 3. They gave us the melona popsicles we ordered for dessert way too early so they melted by the time we ate them Food I would say is a 3.5/5.. and my only complaints are really the service. I wouldn't mind coming back here if the service improves.

Yelp
I finally got the chance to dine-in, and Takumi is a fantastic AYCE restaurant. They have a great meat selection, along with some neat side dishes like takoyaki, sushi and much more. My only concern was about the pork fat they use to grease the grill... As we don't eat pork lol. When we informed the staff they seemed a little surprised and asked if they could use the pork fat anyways (which was a big no). In the end the supervisor suggested vegetable oil and it did the job, although the grilling plate got dark quicker and had to be changed a little more often. Besides that, the meat selection was good quality and delicious (with lots of beef options!) And it's a great value for a set dinner price. My favs were definitely the short rib, cheesy mussels and takoyaki. We definitely ate our heart out, and left full and happy!

Yelp
Updated review: We recently tried them again, and the service was sooo much better than the first time. Staff was friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about items on the menu. The food, was also good and the wait times were sooo much better. Our 2nd experience was definitely better than the first one and, we're glad we gave them another try! Also, glad theres any AYCE Japanese BBQ in Mississauga

Yelp
An outstanding Japanese BBQ was exactly what Mississauga was missing. Great selection of meats and good quality to boot, Takumi is a mouthwatering experience. Have to emphasize that the meat quality here is very good compared to other all you can eat grilled meats. Their appetizers and sides are also very well thought out with special emphasis on their sushi, takoyaki and seaweed salad. Love this place!

Yelp
My fiancée and I came here for a bite to eat and oh boy it was more than a bite let me tell ya. We were supposed to get here closer to 9 but we called and ahead and told them we'd be closer to 9:30 and they were very accommodating. As soon as we sat down, we saw the food options and it was off to the races! Plate after plate, threw it on the grill and down the hatch. After it was all set and done, we got ice cream to go?! It was soooo good (taro and strawberry). I told the server we'd be back, this spot is a hidden gem if you're looking for a grill-it-yourself like joint.

Yelp
After few visits, we finally were able to get the table. The food was good with many varieties of selections and flavourful, which was fair for the price we paid for. As for the service, we feel that we were rushed and the servers weren't too friendly. They gave us that annoyed look and we felt hesitant to place more orders even though it was only our second round.... Do we come back? Yes, for the food.. but if we want to take our time and enjoy the dinner, this may not be a place for us.

Yelp
Ordered take out today! 30% off well worth Food (4.5/5): takumi roll was my favorite, wonderful torched flavor and amazing sweet crunch added by the apples. It was also a very good portion. Takoyaki was also really good! The 0.5 taken off was for the pressed sushi (salmon and ebi/unagi), which was lacking a bit of torched flavor and couldve been more creamy. Price (4/5): 30% off made this very good value! Packaging (5/5): well packaged for take out

Yelp
Food and service were amazing! The portions though come out to you in wildly varying sizes. Sometimes for our table of three people we would get a singular piece of meat other times we would get five or six pieces, there seemed to be really no rhyme or reason for it. Make sure to try out all the dipping sauces and their infinite combinations with all the meats! The takoyaki are also a real standout and are amazingly crispy on the outside.

Yelp
Was told about this place by a buddy. For lunch they only do Ramen atm due to covid. Next time I am checking out the bbq side for dinner. The appetizers are quite good. The Ramen is on par or better than Kenzo. Very tasty and the right amount of spice. Proper and educated staff. The decor is nice, and the place is clean. Will be coming back!

Yelp
