One of my favorite restaurants in Malta. Amazing price/quality and the staff is super professional. Their wine selection is top notch (it really is impressive, see pictures for their wine menu) and their food is always good. Maltese options, cosy atmosphere and well located. Absolutely recommend this place to áll people!

Food was surprisingly amazing! Nice and fresh. No one had any complains about the food. And we were given free homemade ( we think) garlic butter with bread, Butter beans and bigilla while we waited for the food. This is a place I'll go to again given the chance.

We came for lunch because people recommend the restaurant. We ordered oysters and 2 different sets of traditional maltese menus. We said we wanted oysters before the menus and we got the first course along with the oysters. The butter was top notch. The wine was amazing and it really helped during the meal because the meat was dry. The rabbit was dry and didnt really seem well prepared. The minced meat wrapped in more beef was like eating beef with sand. Very dry. We felt like we ate stones for the next 8 hours. Very hard on the stomach and hard to digest. The sides on the other hand were nice - the potatoes were very tasty and roasted to perfection. We also had veggies and buns which were nice. The desert was a saviour for this meal because it was a traditional fig and date combo inside of dough served with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. I would recommend trying different food and the dessert.

Staff are lovely at this restaurant, we had a really lovely lady look after us. Food on the whole was very good , starters and prawn main course were very good. My fillet steak stroganoff was pretty awful, meat was tough, grissly and pretty poor. I dont believe it was fillet at all, texture was all wrong. Shame as I wanted to give the restaurant a glowing recommendation, but , based on my meal, unless you want just seafood or pasta I wouldn't recommend it.

Tal-Familja Restaurant truly lives up to its name, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh ingredients, generous portions, and beautifully presented. Every dish was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavours. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure we had a great experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fantastic meal in a cosy setting.

For a little over €30, I had a mixed fish dish that was quite large. You do not need an appetizer or desert when you go for this main. The fish was well prepared and very tasty. A shame that the drinks were overpriced..€4.50 for a glass of house wine or a bottle of water is twice or even three times the normal price. Staff was friendly and attentive. So overall, considering the food, you do get value and quality for your money.

We had an exceptional dining experience at Tal-Familja, a charming family-owned seafood restaurant. The meal started with a delightful array of complimentary starters: garlic butter and freshly baked small rolls, alongside a tasty bean spread and beans for a quick bite – a fantastic combination to kick off our evening. For appetizers, we enjoyed raw oysters (flavorful and zesty), tuna tartare (not very special but okay), very delicious Gozo cheese (fried goat cheese with tomato garlic sauce and basil), and a great fried calamari. Each dish was fresh and full of flavor. The garlic octopus was fine although it was a bit too chewy though, served with fried onions, oven-baked potatoes, and baked veggies. The sides were phenomenal! Especially the baked potatoes! We paired our meal with a bottle of Chenin Blanc Simonsig from South Africa, which complemented our seafood beautifully. The restaurant boasts an impressive variety of wines from around the world, ensuring there's something for every palate. The service was outstanding – our waiter was attentive, friendly, and very professional. The ambiance was cool and inviting, adding to the overall wonderful dining experience. Tal-Familja offers excellent quality at a reasonable price. We highly recommend this restaurant for anyone seeking delicious seafood and a welcoming atmosphere.
