17 Glam Boutique Hotels in Palm Springs, From Spanish Revival Villas to Historic Escapes for Hollywood Stars

"Are you in California or in Bali? It's hard to tell at Talavera Palm Springs, which has a distinctly tropical vibe, thanks in part to bamboo throughout the property, plus antique wood furnishings and colorful textiles. You might even think you're in Morocco in the Kasbah Hacienda, Hawaii in the Puka Hacienda, or Mexico in the Coba Hacienda—these are just three of the 11 wanderlust-inspired suites. But then you see the olive and lemon trees and remember you're right in Coachella Valley and that the downtown neighborhood is just a block away. But this is not a Palm Springs party hotel. There are two pools, but you won't find DJs blasting music here. Instead, one gets full sun throughout the day for sunbathing, while the other is shaded for those seeking a quiet place to lounge."

We loved this place and will be staying here again on our next trip. This was our first trip to Palm Springs so I did a lot of research and knew I wanted to stay at a smaller, boutique style hotel, close to downtown. The grounds are adorable with beautiful plants, lighting, and sitting areas. The people working there are very friendly and made us feel at home. Our room was large and very well equipped with a coffee station (kureg), mini fridge, blender, and a microwave. The bathroom was large with double sinks and enough room to setup a luggage rack in the corner. Our unit (Gold) had all new bathroom fixtures, toilet, tub and beautifully tiled shower. The king bed, while not a memory foam mattress, was still very comfortable with quality linens and pillows. As it was close to 100 degrees, we did not get to use the private hot tub. The location is 3 short blocks from restaurants and shopping. We walked to breakfast (broken yolk - great), lunch (smile Thai - it was ok and el Patrón - it was ok) and dinner (Sammy Gs Tuscan Grill - fantastic). We really enjoyed hanging at the pool one afternoon and I was thrilled that when I got in, it wasn’t freezing. Lounge chairs are set up for couples with an abundance of soft towels. They have a nice little bar so got to have a cocktail while cooling off in the pool. Also, really enjoyed the farmer’s market on Thursday. We are already planning our next visit to Talavera.

Truly one of the best spots to stay in Palm Springs. Just a block from downtown. It's totally walkable, even in the 120°F July heat LOL Spent the hottest part of the day chilling in the pool, then took advantage of the free bike rentals to explore town once the sun went down. Every staff we encountered was sweet. Highly recommend this property!

My wife (as of 6 days ago) and I stayed at the Talavera for a mini-honeymoon following our wedding in late June and we had such an incredible experience. Joanie and the rest of the staff were always so helpful and attentive, and would make sure to coordinate the turnover service to a time that was most convenient for us. Walking into the Talavera it feels like you go from the unforgiving desert to the lush, nurturing embrace of a tropical paradise. All the plants and foliage made for some amazing photos, and the location of the Talavera is absolutely PERFECT! It’s walking distance to everything (or nearly everything). We only took a Lyft once and that was to save time so we could spend more time at the Tonga Hut (also a “must-visit” establishment). |A friend of ours also called the hotel to arrange a special honeymoon surprise for us that the Talavera staff put together while we were out getting lunch and it was such a great experience. They really knew how to make us feel special :)|I typically don’t like to stay at the same hotel twice because I just like the surprise of something completely new when I’m traveling, however I would come back here in a New York minute. Our room had its own hot tub, plus there are two main pools so they never get too crowded. Talavera is close enough to the action along the main drag, but far enough away that it’s still quaint and quiet. |…speaking of “drag,” my wife and I also hit up Hunter’s (literally less than a 1/4mi away, on the same street as Talavera) on Wednesday evening (6PM) for DRAG BINGO!!! We didn’t win, but we got like 4-5 free shots in the process just for playing!|So yeah, what else can I say.|TL;DR: Talavera is a beautiful spot that looks and feels like you’re in your own private tropical getaway. The rooms are rad, the staff is really nice, and the location can’t be beat. Thanks again Joanie.

What an amazing find right in the heart of Palm Springs. Such a quiet, peaceful place and very, very private. All 11 rooms have a private outdoor garden area with jacuzzi. We stayed in the Puka room and one of the 2 pools was outside our door. Will definitely return!

Google
Excellent get away for people that appreciate peace and quiet. Fewer total rooms, two large pools, and private hot tubs ensures that there is always something to do without worrying about having to try and wake up early to reserve a pool chair. Another high point is the proximity to the main part of town with a multitude of restaurants and shops available.

Google
We had an amazing week at this wonderful small resort. Everyone we encountered who works for the property was fantastic. Some guests clearly wanted a quiet, tranquil stay, and they were easily able to have that here. For those of us that are more social and enjoy interacting with people, everyone Who works here was incredibly friendly and fun. We come to Palm Springs often and this is our first time staying at Talavera. I doubt we will ever stay anywhere else when we are here.

Google
We had a fantastic experience. We stayed first in the Sunflower suite - appreciated the kitchen and being steps from the pool - then the Fountain suite - loved the private yard and entrance. There was always a staff member around ensuring we had everything we needed. The grounds are beautiful, and walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Hope to come back soon.

Google
A small, boutiquey place to stay with a great location and beautiful grounds. The Sunflower room decor and condition was average. Some missing crown molding, the coffee pod situation didn't work, nails were sticking out of the walls, there was no rug, the sleeper sofa was uncomfortable to sit in and was either too far from the TV or the TV was too small, and the bed has no headboard and was on the other side of the pool equipment which wasn't super loud but constantly on and noticeable. The staff was super friendly and using the available bikes was a great option to get out and explore.

Yelp
A boutique property situated perfectly in between the center of Downtown and the serene San Jacinto Mountains. You can walk to your favorite places and also enjoy some amazing mountain views. Truly the best of both worlds. There are only 11 suites and it's 21 and over as it should be. It's so quiet at night. It's perfect! There are two pools and they're heated, you may also enjoy them 24/7. Each suite has its own private area with jacuzzi. My favorite time to be in Palm Springs is always in the winter. Your average winter temps are phenomenal at around 70 degrees. We've stayed in the Ranch Hacienda suite twice now and absolutely love it. It's extremely private. French doors from the bedroom open to a lush patio with lounge chairs for sunbathing, jacuzzi, Mexican chiminea perfect for winter evenings, and seating. The bed is as soft as a cloud. The linens feel like butter. The room is decorated beautifully in Old Hollywood charm. This property has been a notable destination since the 1920's and you can definitely feel that in this particular suite. The grounds are breathtaking. Tropical foliage and desert flowers have taken over everything. It's always difficult to leave.

Yelp
My wife and I have stayed here a few times, and I can't believe that I haven't given them a 5 STAR rating by now, but I'm fixing that now. We have stayed in three different suites there (Gold, Kasbah, and Velvet), with Kasbah being our favorite. This suite is tucked away, and out of sight of the two-story condos that they built on the backside of the hotel. Much more private and quiet. It is nice to have the "touch-less" check in and check out, although there is a manager on site during the day as well as the cleaning staff. (It was devoid of people only during Covid times when we stayed there.) We haven't used the bikes available by the lobby, but certainly have taken advantage of the main pool at night under the stars. What a lovely, quiet way to end the day. We enjoy walking through old town Palm Springs - great shops, restaurants, bars, art galleries, boutiques, etc. which is just a short walk away. No need to use a car or bike when everything is close by. Every lay-out is different so check the website and choose the amenities that you need (like a kitchenette fully stocked with kitchen ware). It is a dog friendly property, and we have seen many there of all sizes - we have not brought ours because we like the feeling of getting away from it all. We are heading back in February again in the coming year. Can't wait!

Yelp
We stayed in the Sedona Hacienda which was fantastic. The hotel manager was so kind and accommodating. The property is small, calm and cozy. Two beautiful pools and plenty of very comfortable lounges. We were able to take a peek at a couple of the other units while they were being cleaned. The sunflower Hacienda would be our next choice when we return. The Talavera hotel is close to all the restaurants, shopping and bars. This property is situated perfectly with an incredible view of the mountain. All units have a private outside area with a Jacuzzi. It was our first visit, but certainly not our last.

Yelp
Recently returned from our first incredible stay and can't wait to return. Kind staff, serene and beautiful environment, and very clean interiors. The only thing that we missed were the addition of sheer privacy curtains that would allow more light into the interior of the beautiful suites from the public pool sides of the rooms. That said, the staff does an excellent and very intentional job of maintaining their guest's privacy. This place is truly an oasis in the desert.

Yelp
Great place to stay. Very convenient location. Joanie is a wonderful host. We would love to return!

Yelp
The pool area was great but the room was so-so. Stayed at the Kasbah Hacienda, which is right near the entrance. No view just the glass door facing the doorway and Jacuzzi area. The property is nice but it is surrounded by a lot of higher buildings, which made it seem more enclosed than it was. The room was fine, the bed was fine, the bathroom was fine. For the price and other reviews, I thought it would be much nicer. The room did have a theme but it was very worn out theme. There is a tiny bench and a small table so you have to sit on the bed even when you're not sleeping.

Yelp
this sweet boutique is so peaceful and relaxing. The people who run Talavera are amazing and so accommodating. I stayed with my cousin for three days and it was very healing. Thank you to April, Joni, Litzy and Carlos. A wonderful experience I hope to experience again soon.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. We had a great time! We stayed in the Sunflower Suite. This place is so relaxing and romantic. The best part is the private spa on the patio. The manager Joanie is super sweet and helpful. We can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Love it, love it, love it. Only reason its not 5 stars is the limited time on drinks and no food on site (although plenty nearby). 21+ to stay here with jacuzzi as part of your room. We stayed in Velvet near the pool. Very quiet and just relaxing. I so needed a break from LA and work. This 2-3 hr drive was worth it. Nice wood accents, comfy bed with kitchen nook, sink, small fridge and microwave. Beautifully decorated. Parking is up front and you need codes to enter.

Yelp
I am writing this review as we prepare another trip but that is how much we enjoyed staying at this gem of a hotel. We stayed in the Ranch Hacienda on our anniversary last June and loved it. Nice little yard, private jacuzzi, our own sun loungers, and a fantastic king size bed. Comes with the use of Apple TV that has Netflix. Our room was right near the side exit so we had convenient parking and right outside our gate was access to the main pool. Loved our stay and am excited for our next stay

Yelp
This is a great Adult hotel! It is private, off the main strip of Palm Springs, has two pools, unique themed rooms that are very spacious, luscious tropical grounds, and a private patio with hot tub in each of the private rooms. The resort is very small so it never felt crowded what so ever! We enjoyed that we could order food from Post-mates and eat on our little patio in privacy but it's also so close to downtown Palm Springs that on Sunday we walked to brunch in the main strip area. We went for Valentines Day and they set up a very romantic themed surprise! We had flowers on the bed and a bottle of champagne and delicious local treats waiting for our arrival! The bed was huge and the tv swiveled so that we could enjoy viewing from anywhere in the room. The pool was heated perfectly, even in February we had a time swimming all day and relaxing by the pool on their comfy lounge chairs. The only drawback for us was that we were in a middle suite which we could hear our next door neighbors all night and that was pretty loud so the walls were thin. If we were to return we would try to get a suite on the end somewhere so we could sleep a little better. Also there was no foliage or privacy on the patio, the apartments from next door could see into our patio if they wanted.

Yelp
This is one of the best hidden gems I've been to in a long while. Palm Springs never ceases to amaze and Talavera is a prime example. I had the privilege of being in the Fountain room and it's one of the most amazingly unique rooms I've been to. Can't wait to come back again and I hardly just checked in!

Yelp
Whether you call it The Rossi or the Talavera Palm Springs, the one thing I can call this place is relaxing. Each suite of this extraordinary boutique hotel property has its own theme and unique comforts. Each room has a patio and a private jacuzzi tub and come equipped with at least a kitchenette (some rooms feature a full kitchen), a television (with netflix and other streaming services - no live tv) and a Cali King sized bed. Each of the rooms is pet friendly (up to 2 pets at an extra cost) and is double occupancy (4 in in 2 of the larger suites). I booked the Rossi or my wife and I's 15th wedding anniversary and soon thereafter found that it was under new ownership and had transitioned to the Talavera Palm Springs. I immediately worried and made a call and they assured me that nothing had changed, the reservation was on file and no ammenities were being altered in anyway. On the day of our check-in we arrived to Palm Springs a little early and were soon thereafter texted our contactless check-in codes for the outer gate as well as our room. We booked and stayed in the Sedona room which was absolutely stunning. The room features a bedroom with a side door linking directly to 2 small chairs and the private patio with outdoor jacuzzi as well as a separate living room and bathroom (featuring a glass shower stall and a whirlpool style jetted bathtub). The bathtub was a definitely highlight for the wife What was also nice is the front double shutter style doors link directly to the main pool and lounge chairs. The grounds are beautiful and maintained very nicely. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, daily housekeeping is not an option but you are simply a text or phone call away from anything you need and we never felt not taken care of throughout our stay. Although we had a couple minor hiccups during our 2 night stay (the tv logged itself out and we could not access Netflix and a shower issue with the water not turning off from the shower head) we had an amazing and relaxing stay and cant wait to get back to check out another room. This place is a hidden gem as others have stated and is definitely a place I would continue coming to time and again. I highly recommend checking them out for your next stay as well.

Yelp
We loved Talavera so much last year that we decided to make it our annual getaway spot. We stayed in Coba last year and Sunset this year. Both are beautiful rooms, but honestly I think all rooms are beautiful which is why we're planning a different room every trip. We stayed a couple nights last time and thought it wasn't enough so we stayed 5 days this time. Thats how much we love it here!! Walking distance to delicious restaurants and shops. On Thursday nights theres a street fair with local vendors and food trucks. We've only been home a day and already planning our next trip back. From the staff, the beautiful landscape to the private patio with jacuzzi, beautifully decorated rooms, and inviting pools its definitely our top places to stay.

Yelp
My Husband and I stayed for a weekend getaway. I enjoy this style of stay, easy access, don't have to talk to many people or run into anyone. This place is nice, quiet and is a great location. We aren't into the downtown scene, but it is easily within walking distance. The room was nice, the private patio is a huge plus. The room was clean, enough. You could see some obvious repairs, it would have been nice to have some string lights outside, the air conditioning was not the best, even a sign to ask not to put lower than 74 in the summer. It would not have been comfortable at all during the peak summer months. We won't stay here again, but is nice to look at.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here over the weekend in the Luna room. It's so nice! If you just want to relax, I recommend this place. It's extremely quiet and tranquil. They have contactless check in due to covid. You don't come into contact with very many people at all really. The pools were very nice and the grounds are well kept and clean. The tranquility pool is much warmer than the other one FYI. There is no room service but we door dashed breakfast easily, just picked it up at the front gate. Coffee is available in the room. We would come again and I recommend it for others. Super nice! Suggestions for management - check expiration dates on coffee creamers -hooks in the shower for wash cloths...there's nowhere to put them -magic eraser the walls. The shower walls are intentionally rustic looking but the rest of the walls are a bit dingy.

Yelp
A slice of paradise in Palm Springs! We feel so fortunate to have found this place in such a great location. It's in a quiet neighborhood just a couple blocks from the main drag of amazing restaurants and fun shops. We booked the Fountain suite, which was perfect for us to bring our dog. It has a large, enclosed yard with a beautiful fountain and relaxing outdoor setup (large patio, hot tub, lights, candles, etc). The room itself was wonderful. The living room is separate from the large bedroom and bathroom. It was well-stocked with a mini fridge, microwave, keurig, wine bottle opener & several drinking glasses & cups. The decor seemed like rustic Moroccan which was very cool. The bed was also comfy and the towels were very soft (not common in most hotel rooms!). Things aren't brand new in the room, but that's part of what gives it such great charm. We also talked to some of the staff on site and they were very friendly and helpful! We did have an issue with our tv logging out of Netflix and unfortunately didn't get a response to my text, but not a big deal (too much to do than watch tv anyway!). Mobile checkin was also a breeze with having gate and room codes texted to us the moment our room was ready. They also sent a list of recommended restaurants that was very useful. We ate at Birba, Cheeky's, Lulu, Boozehounds, Sherman's, & Tac/Quila which were all tasty and dog-friendly! If you have a dog, you DEFINITELY have to visit Boozehounds which just opened on the northern end. It's a couple miles from Talavera, so we drove but it has its own large parking lot. Tip: We ordered the hotel-provided charcuterie plate to have something to snack on upon arrival, but next time I think we'll just walk over to On the Mark to get a custom charcuterie instead. Overall, we plus doggo had such a perfect time and can't wait to go back and stay at Talavera again! Maybe when it cools down a little. :0)

Yelp
Loved our stay at The Rossi. We did a late check-in, but the instructions on how to do so were super clear. Although it's walking distance from the main streets, you feel like you're in a hidden getaway in Bali or India. Our suite had a jacuzzi in the patio which was probably the best extra of our room. Staff was friendly and family like. They set up some coffee and tea at 830 am with little snacks. Definitely a place to re-charge and relax. Thanks Rossi hotel for making our 1 year anniversary so memorable.

Yelp
Loved the intimate vibes of this hotel. Perfect little getaway close to downtown Palm Springs.

Yelp
We just stayed one night as a quick getaway for our 25th anniversary. We absolutely loved the Talavera. We usually stay at the big resorts in Palm Springs with our daughter but we were looking for something more tranquil and romantic this time. We loved the location just a couple blocks from the shops but in a quiet residential neighborhood. The Coba bungalow was spacious, quiet and beautifully decorated. It's a bonus to be right by the tranquility pool and also have your own private spa on the back patio. We can't wait to visit again and try another of the beautiful rooms.

Guillermo A.

Yelp
Dirty, dirty pool. I pulled out all this trash my self after our 1st day there to help the pool. Rooms are ok. Place has been better before new ownership took over. They need to invest some $ into better upkeep.
google avatar

Elyse H.

Yelp
Came here for Memorial Day weekend with my family and dog and had a wonderful stay! Our room had a walled patio so we didn't have to worry about my small dog getting loose, and each room has it's own jacuzzi, which was a GAME CHANGER. Even though it was fully booked, we felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. The pool was so serene, and even though there were parties happening in the neighborhood, once we were inside our room we couldn't hear a thing. Definitely will be coming back!

Yelp
We were in desperate need of an escape after 6 months of being at home due to COVID. For a couple that was used to flying and traveling multiple times a month, this year has been a huge adjustment. A friend had recommended the hotel to us when we talked about how desperately we needed to get away for a weekend and unwind. The Talavera couldn't have been more perfect. Contactless check in was smooth and easy, the hotel was a quiet comfortable oasis that instantly melted our stress away. Quiet, peaceful and well laid out. 2 pools that you can relax by, and right in the middle of anywhere you would want to go in Palm Springs. We've already booked another weekend in a month from now because we loved it so much. Want to have an amazing relaxing stay? A perfect experience to get away from the grind and stress of 2020? Talavera should be at the top of your list. I promise it will be one of the best decisions you ever make for a getaway.

Yelp
I want to simply say. This niche hotel is an amazing experience for couples. I and my fiancée came for a long weekend to golf and relax. This place was so nice to come back to. Quiet, quaint, and a welcome escape. The quiet hours were so nice and having adults only was even better. Designed with a Tahiti or Fiji vibe with dark woods around the property with lush greens. Even better! Two pools!

Yelp
The perfect getaway! It is so peaceful and so unique you completely forget your still in California. My husband and I came to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and it was so perfect I would come back here anytime. By far one of of best places I stayed at

Ariana M.

Yelp
Our weekend getaway at the Talavera was most relaxing & peaceful. This boutique hotel is a hidden gem, a charming spot with serenity & privacy. You wouldn't believe it's located in downtown Palm Springs, walking distance to shops & restaurants. When you drive up to the property it's very unassuming. Then you walk into a beautiful oasis, lush grounds with inviting swimming pools. Each bungalow has its own suite with a living room, bedroom & private patio with your own hot tub!! Why a treat after a long week! We wished we could have stayed longer. This property is truly a private hideaway in the desert!!

Ella M.

Yelp
I've been coming here for a couple years now and I love it every time. Everyone that works there is so nice the view is amazing the rooms are just perfect. The location AMAZING.

Yelp
Quiet and tranquil. Beautiful greenery all around. We had a wonderful stay and the property manager was very pleasant and attentive to anything we needed. They are pet friendly and we were greeted with beds and doggie bowls for our fur babies! Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
OKAY OBSESSED. The most tranquil places I've ever stayed! You walk into the front doors and you feel like you've been transported into another county. So beautiful & relaxing! The grounds are gorgeous, 2 pools, super friendly staff, clean & photo-friendly rooms Worth every penny!!

Yelp
Nice enough hotel, but not worth the high price. The pool was heated to at least 95 degrees during our stay when the outside temp was over 115! Felt like a hot bath, no relief from the weather. There also wasn't much attention paid to the pool area in general, used towels were left out all day and the "clean" towels in the bins had stains all over them. The rooms are dark and the bathrooms are not updated. The shower water pressure was VERY weak, I didn't feel like I got a proper shower all weekend, had to go use a friend's shower in town. The bikes are also not really accessible, there was nobody available to give us the code to unlock them in the evening when it was cool enough to ride. The hotel is close to Palm Canyon, which is convenient, and the decor/landscaping is very instagram-y. Should have had a photoshoot and gotten my money's worth.

Erin M.

Yelp
This was me and my husbands third time at this property, but the first since it changed ownership from The Rossi. While the service was good, that's about all we can say. Literally nothing. Nothing has changed since we were last there 5 years ago. We stayed in the same room (Velvet) and they had the same bathroom (old owners told us they were going to update), same mattress (wow bad I am still hurting 4 days later), same cover and hot tub (totally destroyed by sun). They did change out the sofa however. It's sad bc it feels less loved there. Not nice pool lounge covers or towels. You would think new management would put money into it to really keep the great trend alive! Also, just to give an indication of how nothing has been done, 5 years ago my husband unscrewed the lightbulb next to the glass doors since it shown in at night (we asked to do this) and it was still unscrewed this visit. The worst, saddest part is some developer built two story condos right behind the once private patios. Now someone can just look out their window down on you. Really just destroyed the privacy and intimacy of an adults only getaway. I'm sure the new owners couldn't control that, but I would come up with a plan asap like a pergola or something that at least provides coverage. Three starts bc it still is such a cute place with so much potential. Hope they make some changes and if so we will be back.

Yelp
So I had first booked another boutique hotel at Korakia Pensione which is pretty much across the street. But after reading their reviews it seemed much pretentious to the point where it was a turn off. Thankfully I found the Rossi which had a better nightly rate AND a private jacuzzi and full in-suite kitchenette (in the Puka Room anyway). I'm super glad I made the switch to book at the Rossi. My wife and I stayed four nights and it was perfect. I originally booked three nights at first. A few days later I emailed them to see if I could book the extra night and within 30 minutes I received a call from Jonie to say it was no problem. After that she followed up promptly with an email confirmation. Upon arrival, it was Jonie again who showed us to our room and gave us a little tour and a run down of all the room amenities. We chose the Puka Room which is located on the back side of the property with the secondary pool. One of the main reasons for choosing this room was because it had a full kitchenette including a full stove/oven. It's very quiet on this side as there is only one other room which is the Coba. It seems like this side of the hotel was added to the property and so these two rooms plus a third near the lobby may have been renovated more recently. I had read another review where their room was all old. I can't speak for other rooms but the Puka Room was exactly like what the photos showed. Elegant yet simple. The fixtures/decor, appliances and furniture were all in excellent condition. I can't say enough great things about the Rossi so I'll just go through a list of my thoughts: - private jacuzzi within suite - kitchenette in Puka had fridge, wine fridge, stovetop, oven, and microwave - king size bed with comfortable bedding/linens - close to Downtown yet very quiet oasis - walking distance to many restaurants - warm pools and comfy pool lounge chairs - really good all natural hand lotion! - in suite robes - complimentary coffee/teas/hot chocolate - ice water available 24 hrs a day - large tv with Netflix and Hulu (we definitely made use of this during one rainy day) - good A/C Only a couple cons: there was a Glade plugin which was super strong. I just unplugged it for our stay. Also in theory the door from the shower to the outside is good to jump from the jacuzzi to the shower. But in the private yard the ground was made of gravel/dirt and a bunch of fallen leaves from the trees. This made the shower really muddy with leaves, and gravel. It was just easier to go in through the normal door. Long story short, this was a great place to stay and I wouldn't hesitate to come here again.

Yelp
This hotel was recommended by a friend of mine a couple of years ago. Me and my boyfriend finally made it and we absolutely LOVED this place! It's off the beaten path but still walking distance to everything downtown. The front desk closed at 6 and we were running extreme late for arrival. I called and spoke to the front desk, and they sent late check in instructions that were super easy and convenient! We stayed in the Puka suite, which was not the suite I initially wanted but it WILL be the suite that I try to book from here on out! It was really private and there's a pool right outside the front t door. It was like it was our own private pool. We were the only ones ever using it. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Checking in and out was probably the easiest process I've ever experienced! The suite was also very clean as well as the grounds. They keep iced water with different fruit in it every day at the patio bar for the guests. It was just a great experience! Loved it!!!

Yelp
6/26/19 I wanted to surprise my partner to a night getaway and decided to stay at the Rossi Hotel. I would highly highly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone planning on going to Palm Springs. It will be our go to hotel from now on. Marina and Avalon are the most kindest and genuine girls you could possibly meet. We booked The Fountain Hacienda Suite and it felt like heaven!!! We literally didn't want to leave our suite.

Yelp
Such a peaceful place! It's like you are transported to a bamboo forest in the tropics. Great place to stay at least a couple days and rewind. Attention to detail and staff was great! We walked down the street a few blocks to Spencer's . Great place for food and drinks.

Yelp
This is a cute spot for a quick getaway. Love the decor and vibe. This was our second time here in two months. I had to dock a star because the first time there was no shampoo, conditioner, or body wash and it was too late to call the front office since they close at 6pm. We had to run to rite aide to pick up basic amenities other hotels usually provide. Second time we came, the mattress protector under the sheets were filthy. There were crumbs and hair on it. The stay would have been better if there was a tv in the bedroom. We don't really have a lot of time to watch tv while we're at home due to our busy schedule so when we are on vacay we take the opportunity to watch a movie in bed. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and we really enjoyed the private jacuzzi.

Yelp
I loved my stay at Talavera! I enjoyed the premises and found it very lovely and beautiful. My husband and I stayed in Luna, and it was just the perfect room for us. I thought everything smelled clean and nice, such as the towels, pool towels, and the complimentary soaps/toiletries. The two pools (which are open 24 hours), along with each room's jacuzzi is something I find awesome. I regret not taking advantage of the bicycles, but honestly, everything we had planned on our weekend trip was walkable. Everything was contactless and whenever I had questions, the property manager was very responsive through text. I'd love to come back again some time!

Yelp
Heaven! Our stay was absolutely perfect. This place has such a great vibe. Very quaint, not crowded. Never saw more than a few people. Being able to check in through my phone was awesome. Beautiful room and having our own patio was amazing! We had so much privacy. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
It's true that the almost year it's been since I last lodged at any hotel could be influencing my opinion of how luxurious this boutique gem was but I'd only phrase it that way to try to selfishly keep this spot off of the popular radar!!! Best Palm Springs hotel I've ever been to is a more honest way to phrase it! Tranquil, clean, romantic and so well appointed that we lacked for nothing. The two pools on the grounds running at 92* made taking a leisurely dip while the weather was in the 50*s an enjoyable experience and getting to retreat back to our own private hot tub in our garden patio was just paradise! As if that wasn't enough the oversized jetted bath tub was the icing on the cake. We were able to leave our car parked for the entire time that we were there, as EVERYTHING you want to visit is a short walking distance away. (including LGs Steakhouse for dinner and Sherman's for breakfast which are total PS landmark fixtures!) The minimal staff interactions we had were genuinely friendly and they recommended a mobile massage service to come give us a couples massage in our bungalow which made my Birthday trip complete! Can't wait to visit again and would absolutely recommend this spot to any couples seeking a relaxing escape.

Yelp
We absolutely LOVE this place. It's beautiful, peaceful and very convenient to downtown. We've never had any noise problems and every one is so friendly and yet it's very private. This has been my go to place for Palm Springs visits. Having stated my love this place, I have to say that I will most likely not be staying here any longer. The price to stay has skyrocketed in the last year. I get that the hotel has no say regarding taxes and city fees, but an additional $20 dollar a night resort fee, with no gym, no on-site bar or restaurant? No Day Spa...why is there a nightly resort fee? Internet? Use of the pool? Jacuzzi? Isn't that what my room fee is for? A 2 night stay has an additional $90 dollars added on the hotel room fee, for taxes and "fees". With no additional amenities like a continental breakfast or free bike use. I don't understand paying $80 extra "resort fee" dollars for a 3 night stay. I'm so bummed....

Yelp
My husband and I stayed for the weekend and fell in love. It is perfect for a relaxing getaway with no kids! It is minutes away from downtown Palm Springs, which made finding places to eat and pick up take out very easy. Before my arrival I was texted all the instructions to get inside my suite and they were very easy to follow. We stayed in the Fountain Hacienda, and we loved the privacy. It had its own private entrance and patio area. The suite was nice and cool upon our arrival. It was well kept and the decor is beautiful! We will definitely be back and maybe try a different suite! Thank you fo making our stay pleasant and relaxing!

Yelp
RATS! We are currently at the hotel and don't know what to do. We just saw a family of dirty rats move from the room next to us (room 5) into the wall that connects to our room, (room 8). Trying to get ahold of ANYONE at the hotel but no one that works for the hotel is on site. UPDATE We ended up leaving that night for another hotel. I received a nice call from the hotel in the morning and they issued us a refund for the room and told me they were on top of fixing the problem.

Yelp
Are you looking for an adults only, small and quiet retreat to relax? Well, look no further. This place is an absolute oasis. Everything is so peaceful! There is greenery everywhere. They provide bikes, but everything is pretty much walkable nearby. We enjoyed our spacious, private room and patio to the full for 5 nights. There is a roomy living space, a dining area and lightly furnished kitchenette. There are pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc., but you'll need to bring your own condiments. The tap water is drinkable, even for water snobs like me. The king bed was quite comfortable, but you can hear the water heater and water in the pipes through the walls and the white drapery is a bit bright in the morning. The patio was lovely. Be sure to ask for fire starters for your clay fire pit or be prepared to forage sticks for kindling. The hot tub is private, but always on and hot (pipes in the wall remember). The pool is so nice! There are enough lounge chairs and umbrellas for every guest. It's so relaxing, quiet and pleasant. The guests we saw varied as much as the music we heard by the pool - from Bruno Mars to classical. We had contactless check-in so didn't see much of the staff, but when we texted, the response was immediate and when we interacted on the grounds, everyone was courteous and kind. I would gladly come back here.

Yelp
So here's the thing, I really want to keep this hidden gem to myself but I have to share what I consider to be the BEST boutique hotel I've EVER experienced. My first stay was in August when it was the Rossi, and while I was there it changed ownership and I had the pleasure of meeting the new owner, April who couldn't have been nicer and more welcoming. But it's the magical embrace of the property that you feel upon entering the gate that's so special. You feel transported to a Mediterranean dream that you never want to wake from. I loved my stay so much I just got back after booking another 5-days of pure bliss. The privacy, the beauty and the tranquility make the Talavera my new home away from home. And if you are like me, having a place where I can escape to during COVID for work or just to recharge is VITAL. And with contactless entry and the complete privacy each suite offers, it truly feels like you are the only one there. But you are never alone or for want with the incredible manager, Joanie who is there and just a text away should you need anything. I arrived home last night and am already planning my next trip back to the magical place that is TALAVERA.

Yelp
I stayed here for 3 nights in July 2021 and felt like I found an oasis. The bungalows are spacious, each one is unique in decor and layout. The outdoor common areas were equally well appointed, bespoke bohemian vibes. The staff was friendly and helpful. It felt serene, ideal for couples or individuals who are looking for a beautiful place to retreat.

Yelp
We stayed here in November for our 25th anniversary. It was quiet and quaint. We liked the fire pit and commons area. We loved the location and vibe. We were in Caba and we are very meticulous so it did not meet our standards in terms of quality. The air conditioning was kind of working, it felt damp in the room. The rain shower was a nice concept, but the water went everywhere. Some repairs are needed: the toilet paper holder was hanging on by a thread, the sink was not mounted, the bath room lighting was dim, the shaving mirror did not light up. The bed headboard was creaky. The hanging light in the bedroom was unraveling. The refrigerator was basically a freezer, it froze all our fresh produce. The out door private patio needed the cushions cleaned and spruced up. We did not sit there. We were out most of the time, so it worked out ok, but it wasn't a room we wanted to hang out in. I felt like all the decor was bought at World Market and cannot stand the test of time for a commercial space that gets lots of traffic.

Yelp
We just spent the weekend at Talavera and it was incredible!! The staff took all necessary precautions and we felt incredibly safe. Each room is unique and it's own private suite, complete with a personal hot tub and fire pit. The decor was bohemian luxury, spacious and comfortable. You can be social at the main pool, or enjoy the tranquility of the hidden pool amongst bamboo and gorgeous Mediterranean decor. We also took advantage of the bicycles they offer to ride around the historic Palm Springs district, which was a blast! Speaking of which, you will not get a better location than this boutique resort. You are steps away from great restaurants, fun shopping, and street performers while still being fully ensconced in a private sanctuary situated directly in the historic district. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the staff was attentive and energetic and added to the fun of a GREAT Palm Springs getaway!!

Yelp
This was our second time at this property, and as with the first time - our trip was nothing short of AMAZING! JOANIE at the front desk has phenomenal customer service skills and is always willing to make your stay unforgettable. I wanted to surprise my husband for his birthday so I mailed decorations to the hotel prior to our arrival and Joanie decorated the room and made our stay that much more special. He was surprised to say the least. This place feels like a little piece of Heaven.
