Stopped in on a Wednesday night around 10pm and was able to get a table for two right away. Getting seated, we were given some chips and homemade chutney dip, as well as the menus. The menu is a large, hard cover book that opens to a story about the bar and many many pages about their current drink specials, signature cocktails, a whole section of Old Fashioneds, non-alcoholic beverages, and snacks.
Interestingly, the bar teamed up with Spa water brand, allowing for a bottle of water to be served with each cocktail ordered, free of charge. In the states, we are used to tap water at restaurants. Many places here only have bottled still or sparkling water in restaurants that you have to pay for.
I got two drinks, the first being an old fashioned, which had Irish whiskey, Guinness reduction, and pear. It was smooth and light on flavor. The second drink was "Life is like a ...?" - rum, some chocolate flavor, and a bit of absinthe made this drink taste spectacular. On top of the flavor, it was served in a gift wrapped box with a chocolate wrapped up alongside it.
The service was very good, both in terms of efficiency and attitude. The 90s and early 2000s music, though not very loud, added a great touch to the already fun experience.
Would definitely recommend making a visit to this place! I would like to return, too!
