stayed overnight at this simple resort with my family, all 19 of us adults and children. The 3 airconditioned big rooms we stayed in are basic but good enough for the price but it could be better if they can improve the separated toilet and shower room. The flush in one of the rooms was not working so you have to fetch water from the shower room because the toilet does not have a faucet. The shower heads need replacement because it can barely pass water so we opted to use the pail and dipper to bathe. The good side of the resort is its staff as they were all accomodating and friendly. Better bring your own food since the restaurant food is so-so. We got the deal with Taal trek the following morning and thank God the weather was good in spite of the LPA warning. The trek to Taal crater was good and according to the guide, was better than the days before because it was windy on that day. the view of the crater was really fantastic but I was just wondering why they can not separate the horse trail and people trail. You have to watch for horse poop while walking on the trail and horses for hire kept on passing by the trekkers and making it a little more hassle for the trekker as you sweat and find your footings on the dirt trail, plus the dust ofcourse.(mind you, they will sell you a mask for 20p ea :-) ) On top of Taal, the guide will encourage you to walk up a little more to the red lava area for an extra fee of 50p/pax. I think it is a rip-off since it is a 2 minute walk up a dangerous ledge and I can not understand why they can not put up a simple safety fence people can hold on to. Surely a little trail improvement and safety measure would not spoil the fun and beauty of the trek considering they charge 50 bucks just to take pictures on top of that hardened red lave.

We were looking for a resort for my younger brother birthday celebration. We ended on this resort because others are all fully booked and we were all disappointed. The pictures in their website are so beautiful unlike the real place. When we arrived to check in the small villa room, our room haven't been cleaned, we waited for a while for the person appointed in cleaning our room to finish. And when he did, guess what? The room is still dirty, there are so many dusts on appliances, looks like they just used a broomstick and didn't even mop the floor. My auntie had to mop the floor herself because my 2 year old doesn't want to wear his slippers inside the room. The flush on our bathroom is also not working and there are many insects on it. The door knobs looked like it's gonna fall off after so many days of turning it. There are also cracks on the walls, made me paranoid that the room above us is possible to fall. There are also old blood stains on our bed cover like it haven't been changed God knows for how long. And our tv is working but it had no cable so we couldn't use it. We literally have no entertainment in the resort, luckily my 2 year old is very hyper to made us all entertained lol. Even the wifi signal is not reachable in our villa. And the pool? It's very dirty, my auntie also had to be the one cleaning to pick up the floating things on the pool. you couldn't even see your feet below when you're in it because it's so hazy like the water haven't been replaced God knows for how long too. And you know that it's really dirty because you can feel "sands" or "dusts" on the floor of the pool it's disgusting. Even their restaurant is not good. They only have 2 menu for us to order, Luckily we bought pancit outside the resort. The only good thing I can say about the resort is how good the staffs and the owner really are. They should just really have to work on their maintenance :(. Will never go back to this resort again

We checked in in one of their affordable standard rooms, expecting not much, but we were a bit surprised that we were not able to maximize the use of most amenities. The cable was malfunctioning because the line was disrupted by a vehicular accident at least according to one personnel. The Wifi, although there was an obvious signal, was also not accessed because according to the owner, they still have balances to pay. We also was not able to swim in their pool since we were too afraid that it may not be safe for our 2.y.o. to swim in it since there were things floating in it, some tiles were broken, and it has not been obviously vacuumed for quite some time. We ended up swimming at a nearby resort. There were also kittens in the ceiling of our room. We could hear their cute meows, but we did not mind since we like cats. ||Despite the surprises, we enjoyed our stay because the place was serene. It boasts old, flowering plants and trees which make its surroundings fragrant. We were also expecting lightweight and thin blankets just like in other resorts, but they offered comforters instead. We slept soundly that night. Overall, this place is decent enough.

I stayed here with my husband and two children. The staff were very accommodating to our every need and even set up the karaoke machine for us to use one evening! Food was decent enough for the price and the vegetarian food was very tasty. The accommodation was very basic and really could do with some maintenance. It looked as though it had seen better days to be honest. Gheckos were in our room which we were fine with but it you're not into them you may not be so keen! I love animals and saw some cats and dogs wandering through occasionally. However, I noted that one of the men kicked a cat out of the way when it came near the dining room entrance. I can understand that you might not want cats near your eatery but please do not mistreat them. Many visitors will not be keen on this!

Last Saturday, we went here to check in. my mom had a seminar in club balai, however, club balai is already fully booked so we opt to stay here (my 2 cousins and one driver) because its a hotel near my mom's event place. We really had a bad experience because we checked in around 12 pm, transferred our things in our room. The room is very spacious. around 5 persons can fit it. The bathroom is not okay. They have separated the shower room and toilet bowl. The tv is okay - old school TV and doesn’t have a remote. Channels are all blurred. Aircon is not that cold. Pool is very dirty. no towels provided. and their wifi - they do not know the password. After we transferred our things in the hotel - we went to Tagaytay to kill some time and went back to the resort around 430pm. we wanted to rest because my mom’s seminar will finish around 10pm, and just wanted to stay in the resort and rest. However, when we went there, we were told that there is no electricity and they gave us emergency light.  And then, after 30 mins, the electricity went back through generator. The generator worked for about 15 minutes and it broke down. There is no telephone at the room so I called them in their phone, and asked regarding the electricity. They said that their generator broke down and they do not know when to have the electricity. It is already 6pm, it was getting dark and still, no electricity. This is because of the typhoon. We decided not to stay anymore because it was very dark, and we only have our emergency light. We paid for the reservation of Php 1500. However, we were not able to get our money back because they said, it’s a reservation fee and non-refundable. That is our horrible experience. I chose to stay here because I read some good reviews about this resort. But you can really never tell once you experienced it. ||||I wont recommend this resort and I will never go back.||||pros: very welcoming staff||cons: mentioned above

Good part - It's cheap.|But you get what you pay for so brace yourselves. ||The room has a cooped up smell ('kulob' in Filipino). Like it needs some serious airing out and some sunshine. ||The bed looks itchy. We were on a day trip and we were too scared to nap there. ||Our room had an old red couch. It looked very unclean.||Bathroom is old and some fixtures aren't well maintained. No heater/hot water too. ||Staff is friendly though and lots of cats in the property. ||The lake was very dirty when we visited, but the view is fine and you can take your meals by the huts overlooking the crater of Taal volcano. I reco you order the grilled fish!||Don't go to the taal yacht club beside it though. Horrible place!

We had 3pax tour under the agency TriPinas and they used the resort as drop off point for the boat and for briefing. I was with a 56 year old American woman, my mother in law and my fiance. If you happen to do the same tour, we highly recommend the boatman/tour guide named "Kuya Alvin". He is so kind, hardworking and diligent to his work. He helped us so well especially my mother in law, watched and ensured our safety when we hiked the volcano and he maneuvered the boat real well too. He has been doing his job for 6 years already that's why he's really good at it. Just indicate to the agency TriPinas that you like him to be the tour guide. You will not regret it. Highly recommended. ||||Ps. We have not booked at this hotel but I used this platform to give recognition to Kuya Alvin as he seemed employed by the hotel as guide. Better ask or inquire Tripinas first.

We arrived here to start our trip to the Taal volcano. The trip was scheduled and pre-paid via our travel agency Tourismo Philipino. We got a warm welcome by Emma, the owner of the place. She explained to us about the trip and answered our questions. The trip includes the sail trough the lake and a horse riding after that. When we returned back Emma invited us to lunch with rice, chicken, fish, and vegetables - it was one of the best meals that we had in the Philippines!
