As for the restaurant: I tend to let my life evolve around beer, making food play second fiddle. This time the plate dominated the glass for sure. Björka Brygghus leaves a barely visible imprint while both the steak and the cauliflower mains made an impact worthy of the meteorite that formed the lake outside the window in the first place. Impeccable food and service. We were not the easiest customers with two kids with “special requests” and then some food allergies and dad jokes on top, but staff handled it perfectly. Fantastic evening for sure!

The restaurant was lovely, with a gorgeous lake view and the food delicious. We had the chanterelles with pike it it couldn’t have been for delicious. Our waitress was wan. And friend.y. It was a great meal.

The hotel staff are exceptionally friendly, the location above Tällberg is great - we had stunning views from the huge balcony over lake Siljan - yet the building we were staying in really felt old and decrepit. In both the rooms we rented, the bathroom gave a nasty smell which we had to keep out by keeping the door shut.

We planned our trip to Tallberg late and were unsure about this hotel. But this turned out to be a gem. Location, view cleanliness were excellent. Staff are very cordial and friendly, rooms spacious and carry the Nordic spirit very well. The boutique hotel has a great restaurant and lobby has cosy areas to sit and enjoy a glass of wine or cup of tea while viewing the lake.

This place exceeded my expectations for value and quality! We stayed right after Christmas on weekdays, so the price was super affordable. The location was easy walking distance to shops and cafes. The hotel itself was everything I would expect for a 19th century renovated farmhouse - with each room being totally unique in the building we stayed in. There were 6 of us, so we took 3 rooms. Our bathroom was a bit cramped but I totally didn't mind. The view of the lake from our room was beautiful, and we were blessed with several inches of fresh snow during our first night and all the next day! Breakfast was included and at a normal time of 8-10am with everything a person could want and SO very tasty. Dare I say the best hotel breakfast on the planet? They gladly accommodated our vegan in the group as well. Coffee and treats were offered through the day in the main lodge's cozy sitting area and were most welcome when coming in from playing in the snow! Finally, the staff was so friendly and helpful and accommodating. Very easy check in, and check out. Hope we have a chance to stay there again sometime!

Friendly staff, nice room with a comfortable bed, and absolutely fantastic food in the restaurant. The dinner we had was above and beyond anything we would have expected - the vegetarian options were excellent, may I add! My boyfriend appreciated that you could get local craft-beer. Breakfast buffet was very nice as well. The home-baked bread is amazing.

the room looked very nice and cosy and was big and clean. the bed was comfortable. typical swedish shower (everything worked and there was hot water, but the water splashed all over the bathroom). the bathroom was clean but it could need a make over. staff is friendly and the hotel was calm and cosy. the breakfast was absolutly amazing!!! although there were only a few guest (after season) we had a very great buffet with a lot of cold and warm selection. we loved it!

Beautiful view and a cosy place. Food was good and request for special food due to allergies was nicely answered with a vegan meal. We stayed during 2 nights in 2 different rooms. One room was more spacious and with a veranda. We were surprised that the smaller room w/o veranda was charged at same price. Even more surprised that coffee and tea in the room is charged extra for 10 kr! I would expect this to be included. |Bed linen is too small and leaves you partially on the raw mattress in the morning. |Most critical point was the room service - it was minimalist during our stay. After the first night, the bathroom wasn't properly done, towels not put in order, floor towel not replaced, lavabo not cleaned, shower walls and floor not well cleaned. You immediately start to think, if it has been cleaned properly prior to your arrival...|No vanity sets or body lotion available in the room. Got body lotion upon request at reception desk, to find out it's produced in China...||
