Lovely grounds, attentive staff and good wines. We joined the wine club and, a couple weeks later, received a personalized, hand-written note thanking us. Very classy! Over the last 35 years, we have joined many wine clubs but never received a thank you note!

Google
A charming tasting area, shady or sunny, for enjoying your choices in comfort. Very knowledgeable servers make it easy to pick your choice from excellent wines. A relaxing and refreshing experience.

Google
My Great Aunt and Uncle opened this winery several years ago. I finally got the opportunity to visit. The staff were kind and knowledgeable about the different wines. My favorite wines were Oliver’s Chardonnay and Rosemary’s Pinot Noir. I can’t wait to go back.

Google
Beautiful grounds and tasty wines. The staff is very knowledgeable and super nice. One of my top choices here in SLO wine valley.

Google
We had a wonderful wine tasting at Talley Winery. It is so beautiful inside and outside. We loved the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines. Vincent took great care of us and helped make the entire experience so special. We also had a cheese plate with our tastings. We highly recommend Talley for excellent wines and service in a beautiful setting.

Google
Based on advertisement and Google rating we were looking forward to a nice wine tasting with the aim of buying a few bottles for the rest of our journey at the West Coast. The location was quite nice. Unfortunately our host did not spend lot of attention to us. He walked away with other business and even forgot to serve bread and cheese we ordered for the tasting. We therefore decided to stop the tasting. In favor of the host we didn't need to pay for the tasting.

Google
Both the indoor and outdoor tasting seats are nice but we got a seat inside because it was pretty windy. The large windows look out to their vinyards for a nice view. Our server was very friendly and enthusiastic with expertise. She explained all about the wine, varietals, and the climate of the AVA and vinyards for each label and answered our questions in detail. She had recommendations for other wineries to visit if you like a certain type of wine as well. It was undoubtedly one of the best wine tasting experiences I had and I highly recommend! Oh and their charcuterie board is top notch for 25$ as of August 2023. Grab one if you're tasting flights.

Google
A wonderful experience! Kate was extremely helpful with helping me to decide what wines to buy. The tasting Room is relaxful and the views are gorgeous! If you are looking for a wine experience and are anywhere near arroyo grande this is worth the stop!

Susan L.

Yelp
Great wines. Views of vineyards are beautiful. Enjoyed the Rosemary Pinot Noir and Syrah. Franco was an excellent server.

Yelp
What a great atmosphere! I had been given a recommendation to visit Talley Vineyards while tasting in Edna valley and was glad I followed up with it. You can tell this is a family run establishment with deep roots right off the bat. Extremely friendly staff with great vino options. We visited during a sunny day in September and were greeted with several ideal spots to enjoy our visit. On top of the affordable tasting, we opted for a cheese and charcutier board which was great! They have some spectacular views that you show definitely take advantage of while you are there considering they are slightly in the mountains with some views of the Edna valley. As for the wine, all were great even some of the whites that I am usually not a fan of (Chardonnay). Will definitely be back in the future!

Trish S.

Yelp
Once again we really enjoyed our visit at Talley. This time, I want to give a shout out to Bonnie. She was so much fun to chat with about the wines, the vineyards, the local food scene, and just everything else. She catered our tasting to us, and she made great recommendations. Thanks Bonnie!

Julie H.

Yelp
We always visit here when we are in the area, the wine is phenomenal and LOVE the updated decor in the tasting room. The outdoor member's area is something right out of Tuscany! Beautiful!!! This time we joined the Wine Club....FINALLY! Can't wait to return!

Lisa R.

Yelp
We only had time for one vineyard after a morning at Hearst Castle. This was perfect with a great server, Franco. We tasted several nice Pinot Noirs and a surprisingly tasty Syrah. The grounds were lovely and it was very interesting to see the different soil samples for each section of the vineyard.

Devin F.

Yelp
Talley Vineyards is a great winery off Lopez Drive in Arroyo Grande. The views from both inside and outside are intriguing while wine tasting. Their wide array of flavorful wines will easily quench your pallet.

Katie J.

Yelp
Nice grounds - but otherwise not a good experience. The tasting service was sloooow. It is $30 per tasting and you get one tasting refunded with the purchase of two bottles. Their bottles run mostly in the $85 range - sorry but the wine is simply not very good! Go to Wolff. Much nicer experience and every wine is delicious! Much more affordable, as well.

Bry M.

Yelp
The wine tastes great which is a given but the ambiance adds to the experience. The live music with a backdrop of the Edna valley mountains is perfect for a peaceful SLO afternoon. The staff and owners were especially wonderful as well. We got a chance to see some of the barrels aging and how their process works along with learning some of the history of the farm.

JoAnn T.

Yelp
We just left Talley Vineyards and was very disappointed. The server was less than interested in us (could smile a little please) Wanted to taste the champagne. 85.00 a bottle and she wouldn't let a sample. There was no one there, a Tuesday afternoon and she acted like we were bothering her. Our experiences in the past have always been so positive. We will think twice before recommended this to friends

Stephanie B.

Yelp
A huge disappointment that was recommended to us. While the property is beautiful, and our server was lovely, the wine is crazy overpriced ($30 for tasting 6 and $40-$80 a bottle) and isn't very good. It is primarily chardonnay and pinot noir that is really one note - no complexity. There are many better options in the area.

Jeff M.

Yelp
Beautiful setting for a winery. Talley Vineyards is located in Arroyo Grande and produces gorgeous Chardonnay's and Pinot Noir's. We tasted in a well appointed tasting area, seated in big comfortable chairs overlooking the valley and estate vineyards. Our wine educator was Bonnie. She did a remarkable job taking us through the extensive wine portfolio and allowing us to taste some of the wines side by side. We enjoyed all wines but I particularly loved their Chardonnay's. Wines are priced fairly and tastings are waived with a purchase of 2 bottles per person. Talley Vineyards is a must stop if you are in the area. Ask for Bonnie and you will be rewarded with a memorable tasting.

David F.

Yelp
We had a great experience here with excellent views and even better wines. Enjoyed the pairing and service! Our second order is coming soon

Theresa S.

Yelp
It was our first time here. We needed a place to hang out until we could check into the campground. The grounds are beautiful and dog friendly. We didn't have reservations and I couldn't make them same day online so I called and they said they have space for us. You're handed your first tasting at the entry way and walked to your seat. They have a nice courtyard with tables under trees and tables with umbrellas. There were even dog bowls of water scattered around. We ended up getting a charcuterie board to snack on while we enjoyed our tastings. I knocked off a star because I was hoping for more description of the wines and the charcuterie board didn't have jam. Overall it's a great space and my MIL loved the bottles we brought home. Thank you for accommodating us on such short notice!

Lenore N.

Yelp
Lovely grounds. Very helpful service. Kate is amiable and accommodating. I'm not a Chardonnay drinker but these were nice. The three Pinots grew more and more complex. I prefer the Stone Corral Pinot. Am going to send some to our hostess as a thank you gift.

John D.

Yelp
Wow. What a place. It's way out there, but once you get to Talley, the grounds and facility are amazing. Beautiful outdoor tasting areas, fabulous indoor tasting room with views of the hills and vineyards. But the best part is the tours and trips. We did the Rincon Adventure and was able to tour the vineyards on the hillside. Then had a quick picnic by the river. They do a good job with the Pinot and Chards. The service was impeccable, and the staff very friendly, professional and first-class; that is hard to come by these days. Paso Robles is one of the next big up-and-coming wine regions and Talley is helping to lead the way.

Mandy M.

Yelp
Talley is a really pretty place but they're way overpriced. $30 per person for a skimpy pour of 4 of their wines is too high. We do a lot of wine tasting up and down the state and most places ask if you want to revisit anything or maybe try a splash of something off menu but that doesn't happen here. It's basically half a glass of wine for $30 each and head out the door and to me that means the wine should be phenomenal and it's not bad but not amazing either. Their bottles for purchase were also overpriced. Again, the property is pretty and the people seemed nice enough but I can't recommend it.

Jack W.

Yelp
Stopped in for a charcuterie board and a wine flight tasting. The food was delicious. The wines were above par. The view was beautiful. Brooke our sommelier was super nice and knowledgeable about the wines.

A C.

Yelp
Ended up here by pure happenstance and I'm glad I did. The service was impeccable. Char was joyous.

Joan S.

Yelp
Beautiful location with lots of available parking. Friendly and knowledgeable staff ensuring a fruitful visit. The wine is excellent also. Great place to take visitors for a taste of SLO wines.

LaDean T.

Yelp
Excellent service, great wines, especially the pinpots. I do wish they still had the truffles available for purchase!

Michael G.

Yelp
Always a wonderful experience. Great wines. Friendly staff. Brian Talley, who is seemingly omnipresent, is very charming, knowledgeable and truly loves what he produces. Love this place.

Cory D.

Yelp
Oh my, we had a wonderful time!!! Same here early on a Saturday and they were being socially responsible such as being masked and distanced. Our server was fabulous, I believe her name was Laura. She was very knowledgeable about the wines and helped me find what was right for my pallet. The 2017 Rosemary Chardonnay was phenomenal, but the pinot knocked it out of the park. Really enjoyed this visit; definitely cone if you can.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
We had a great wine tasting experience thanks to Bonnie our sever. She really personalized our tasting and provided great facts about the wines. The outdoor seating atmosphere was relaxing and provided a great setting.

Wendy H.

Yelp
Friendly service. Lovely grounds. Good wine. Seating inside and out. Inside tasting room is very well decorated.

Kage C.

Yelp
Went this morning for a wine tasting and Vincent was great! He was super attentive and gave an in depth explanation of all the wines that were being served without it being boring. He also did a great job with our charcuterie board. It was a great experience overall!!

Zin M.

Yelp
Had a relaxing and enjoyable time at Talley Vineyards. Husband lovesss wine tasting. He loved our host Laura who was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and gave 5 extra tastings! We ended up buying our 2 faves- the Rosemary chardonnay $60 & the Rosemary Pinot Noir $80. Tastings are $30pp but very generous w letting us try other wines. I'm not very knowledgeable about wines and liked all the wines and rose we tasted. Husband loved all but wasn't as much a fan of the rose and the sav blanc.

Xavier A.

Yelp
I'm a fan of Talley`s wines for years but never been to the tasting room. The Vibes and service was great. We will be back !

Sue S.

Yelp
This is a beautiful property. A special thanks to Vincent. I live in San Diego but come to this area to visit a friend. The last two visits we have been served by Vincent. What a wonderfully pleasant and knowledgeable young man. All if the employees here are wonderful as well.

Marya K.

Yelp
Fantastic family farm and vineyard! Excellent for large gatherings and charming experience for a few. They recently (last year) remodeled the tasting room which now has a cozy living room vibe. No more central tasting bar and gone is the snack or market wall. I recommend calling for updated last seating times. Definitely order a charcuterie board & a bottle of the Adobe!

Kathryn B.

Yelp
My friends group, all retired teachers, recently visited Talley Vineyards. Between the five of us we have done our share of wine tastings. Our vote- this was the best by several degrees. The setting is spectacular, such a comfortable setting! We started with a glass of rose and the well appointed charcuterie board. The wine is delicious, particularly Oliver's and the Grenache. The "X factor was definitely our "wine educator/ service person" Kate. She was relaxed, accessible, funny, and very knowledgeable. She was very personable and it was consistently apparent that she wanted us to have a good time. It was a memorable afternoon.

Kristen G.

Yelp
Amazing Rincón tour. Wanted more than a tasting experience and found the Talley Vinyard Rincón tour. It was amazing and informative.

Dan N.

Yelp
Talley Vineyards is a great place near SLO to enjoy some wine and the scenery. Everything is outside at the moment, but the team greats you when you arrive and they start with your first tasting ras you arrive and give you a tour of the grounds before seating you at your table. We enjoyed several wines and ultimately took home 4 bottles. Definitely a place to bring company when things get back to normal.

Till W.

Yelp
We heard a lot about Talley and decided to take an adventure out to the boonies in Arroyo Grande. Their land is immaculate and the tasting room reminds me of the 70s. Hard wood countertops, chairs and walls trimmings. Service was attentive from our pourer. She was very friendly and informative. We debated about joining as wine club members but we'll be back nonetheless! Their pinots are good. If you stop in here, you might as well also make stops at the wineries in Edna Valley too since it's only a few minutes away.

Trish W.

Yelp
Loved our experience there yesterday with the wonderful Beth (from Palo Alto) who guided us through our tasting with the perfect combination of information and enthusiasm. I feel like my brother and I lucked out to have her host us. Loved every single wine she poured and I even took home two bottles! The tasting room overlooks a GORGEOUS view of the vineyards and Talley Farms ( originally was a farm before they branched out in 1986). I would definitely return here and encourage ppl passing thru SLO and SB Wine Country to pay a visit to this casual, unassuming but still elegant site.

Zach R.

Yelp
Horrible. We showed up for our reservation, were seated, had our first wine poured, then we were promptly ignored. We waited 35-40 minutes for anyone to come by to serve us the second wine of the tasting and nothing. I looked to Essie, the hostess, for help but she was engaged with the group next to us the whole time. I went outside looking for the man who seated us and he was nowhere to be found. So we had to get up and leave without our reserved tasting. Pretty bad way to spend a birthday.

Kristen N.

Yelp
We decided to come back to visit this beautiful place with friends and grab a bottle of wine and sit in the outdoor patio area and enjoy the day. We got a bottle of the 2015 rincom Chardonnay and it was delicious. Our tasting "hosts" were Sheila and Christina and they were both amazing!!! Super nice staff and a beautiful property. Glad we tried again!! The wine has gotten better too! Delicious! Oh and do nice the farm stand is open today!!! Very nice produce!

Steve A.

Yelp
This was the best producer we visited during our day in the Arroyo Grande area. Their Chardonnays and Sirah were particular standouts. The tasting room has a marvelous view of the vineyards, and there is a nice outside area for relaxing with a bottle. We voted by joining their club!

Traci H.

Yelp
A great LOCAL business. I LOVE the Fruit and vegtable boxes! I won one at the South County Chamber Mixer! AMAZING!! Highly recommend.

puja s.

Yelp
Good wine tasting experience! Liked the non-oaky Chardonnay (Oliver's) and their Pinots were quite balanced and very nice. The grounds lovely too. Just taking off one star because the tasting lasted an hour. I would have appreciated a faster turnaround, in half that time, to taste 4-5 wines.

Conny L.

Yelp
I absolutely love Talley Vineyards - not only for their delicious red and white wines, but also for their lush outdoors, educational tours and friendly staff. Coming here, don't feel weird to bring the whole family. There's plenty of shaded space outdoor space for you, your friends and the kids, and they have cornhole on the lawn ready for your group. There's a good mix of large and small tables, so whether you're doing a romantic visit for two or you're celebrating your birthday here, you'll find appropriate space. Dogs are also welcome to visit outdoors, but are not allowed in the tasting room. The wonderful staff serve wines indoors at the large, beautiful counter, or at the smaller outdoor bar. You'll get 5 wines for your fee, 3 chardonnays from different estates, and two pinot noirs. All of these are delightful! The chardonnays are light, buttery, with a citrusy finish. The pinots are bolder, with a lot of character. You can also ask to try the rosé and the Mano Tinto, which they usually only pour inside. Some days during the week, you can also visit the little farm stand where you can purchase the produce from Talley Farms. Otherwise, you can bring your picnic here and enjoy a lovely day at the gorgeous estate.

Evan R.

Yelp
Another great experience in the tasting room. Was at the Yelp party last Tuesday and decided to come back to taste some more. The staff were all super friendly again. This place is awesome.

John L.

Yelp
I will preface this by saying that I do not post a whole lot on Yelp and that I hate giving bad reviews especially to wineries which I love, but this one absolutely deserves it and it's due to the lady who greeted us in the front! We were excited to come here on Weds 7/5 around noon time with our two kids. We walked out of the car, it was a beautiful day and winery looked pretty. We saw a family with two boys seated on the patio which made us think this would be a family friendly place. The lady at the front greeted us and said no one under the age of 21 could sit anywhere on their property. We were a bit confused as directly behind us were two boys of similar age as our kids seated with their parents. She quickly corrected herself and said well that's on the weekends only bc we have special zoning rules. So we said OK fine we have another family joining us now and she immediately proceeded to tell us that for parties of 7 or more the tasting fee would be $40 per person instead of $30 per person even if it's just 4 adults tasting with 4 children. It seemed that she was completely disinterested in serving us even though there were only about 2-3 other parties there on the property and it was NOT busy at all! She was incredibly rude, snobby and off putting and we will definitely never go there again! We have been wine tasting since 2004 and have been all over CA and this by far has been one of the worst experiences we have had! Please don't tell me how you have an age restriction when you have kids sitting on your patio and then try to up-charge me for the tasting for 4 adults on a very non busy day! Very unfriendly, unprofessional, and rude for someone who is in this business! Whoever owns this winery or does the hiring should honestly fire this lady who was overly and blatantly rude for absolutely no reason at all!

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
We enjoyed a lovely afternoon on the patio with Juls as our host. She was fun, knowledgeable, & engaging. The wines are delicious and varied. The Rose, Rincon Chardonnay, and the Rincon Pinot were our top 3.

Anna B.

Yelp
Went on a Saturday afternoon for some wine tasting and it was super fun! Highly recommend going on a sunnier day so you can utilize the outdoor patio space (there is an outdoor bar where you can get your refills). We did a tasting each and got to try a delicious rosé, chardonnays, and pinot noir. The tastings were delicious and we ended up going home with Oliver's Vinyard Chardonnay (paired super well with dinner). We had a complementary tasting (thanks to Yelp events!) and the second tasting was waived because of the purchase of a wine bottle. The scenery is gorgeous too, I highly recommend taking the back routes to get to the winery because it is a beautiful drive. The only downside is that it closes pretty early so we wish we came earlier that Saturday afternoon and I don't think I could ever go on a weekday after work! If the hours were extended to at least 6pm, it would be a 5-star winery!

Andrew B.

Yelp
Talley Vineyards is truly a hidden gem in our little Arroyo Grande area. If you have been down to our local secret winery area here on the Central Coast we have a number of amazing areas to try wine in. Paso Robles being warmer tends to favor the bigger grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel. Down in Edna Valley being closer to the ocean they tend to favor grapes like Pinot Noir And Chardonnay. Both area are rich and diverse in their amazing wines and wineries. Down here in Edna Valley and Arroyo Grande Valley (just a little south) is Talley Vineyards. This is an amazing property that Gisele's both wine and across the street a large farm and CSA (another amazing find)" btw ). The Talley experience is hard to put in a short review. The wine is exceptional and you have to try their different Pinot Noirs and Chardonnay. They have some other delicious blends and labels you can sample in their tasting room. Their winery and tasting room is a beautiful open area with views of the farm and the vineyards. Their staff is professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly fun to hang out with. So many to name I have met over the last few year like Temo, George, and Christina (who is now the tasting room manager!). You can also grab a glass and hang out on their open lawn and patio area. Nice shade to hang out and take in the world. Great way to win'd down. Throughout the year they have tons of event including a number of benefits they run to support and give back to the community. I would recommend highly to take a day and come down for a taste or even better a tour of the winery (they have throughout the year). Say hi and maybe see you down there soon! Pro tip: you can take a tour at their Talley Farms CSA and get a wine tasting thrown in (all free, shhh )

Katherine C.

Yelp
Our friend lives down the street from this winery. It was a beautiful day to have a glass or two outside and look at the marigolds and lavender. I really enjoyed their Tinto red blend. We bought a bottle of that and their Chardonnay. There's a nice grass area to let the kids run around. The staff was very friendly and informative. Our friend ended up signing up for the membership! Overall, a nice little stop if you're exploring the area.

Nobbi L.

Yelp
What can I say? Since joining at a Yelp event there, we have thoroughly enjoyed our membership. The whole family is involved in this winery from Brian, the main guy, to his mom, Rosemary, and his daughter, Elizabeth. And I can't forget Eric, the winemaker. These are the only CA Chardonnays I actually like. (Other than Eric's own label!) And the Bishop's Peak label wines are also superb. Definitely visit this gorgeous property.

Jay M.

Yelp
Scenery was spectacular while Wine tasting. All the wine tenders were helpful and very nice and bubbly personality ( including one of the guy that don't like me). Would def do tasting there again.

Mischa N.

Yelp
Showed up with our son and family from out of state with no appointment. They had us go to the top of the knoll, where we encountered the awesome Isabelle. We had such a delightful time with her she got two new club members. Every wine is excellent and Isabelle represents them well.

Alyssa D.

Yelp
Great time here. All generous pours. Stayed maybe 2.5 hours and never felt rushed or forgotten. Lots of good knowledge and our server was excited to bring us many other wines to try that weren't part of the original tasting.
