Very lovely and well-kept Buddhist Temple. The surrounding gardens are nice to wander around and it's very peaceful, although parts of it look a bit shabby and disused. It's free entry but a donation is requested (I popped 50k in). I thought it was a little bit cheeky that they made us leave our bottled water outside and then sold drinks within the grounds!

Big and beautiful monastery arhictecture. Buddhists can pray inside the monastery. The place was big, clean, and comfortable. You can rent a chinese costume and a photographer to take a picture. Good place for tourist to visit and for photo view. Last visit on: 4 September 2025, 16:50 WIB.

One of tourist must visit when in Brastagi. It’s an active prayer’s site (similar to Candi Borobudur), so we need to respect their rules (no cap, no sandals, etc). It’s look like small, but actually you can walk to their backyard, it’s pretty huge & beautiful to take picture there. The views makes us forgot that we’re still in Indonesia 😆

Felt like in Nepal. The shrine is clean and inside is more for praying. You can do photoshoot with the traditional attire of Nepal. Toilet was dirty and dark.

Taman Alam Lumbini is a peaceful and stunning destination located in the cool highlands of Berastagi. The golden pagoda is the highlight—majestic and beautifully detailed, it feels like a slice of Myanmar in North Sumatra. Surrounded by serene gardens, Buddha statues, and a charming hanging bridge, the whole area invites you to slow down and breathe in the calm atmosphere. It’s a great place to visit with family or friends, whether you’re exploring the spiritual side or just enjoying the fresh mountain air. Perfect for reflection, photography, or simply appreciating the beauty of nature and culture combined.

not a must. The road to is also very bumpy and there’s a small fee to enter. For a photo or two it’s nice.

The place is very nice, even though the frontyard was hot because it is sunny when i came, but inside the temple it is very windy and clean. Good place to pray and design is beautiful. Some of the statue already moldy but not noticable if you didnt look
