Went here with a group of 6. We were seated promptly. They have a really nice outside deck with a creek running along it. Portions can best be described as gigantic. The nachos are the best example of this. Service was really great! There is some food that is gluten-free, but less than most places.

Tamarack Brewing was a decent dinner for our group coming up from Polson. Serving sizes were massive and the different dishes we tried ranged from okay to great. I appreciated the large selection of brews available and quick service as well. Not sure I'd do the 45 minute drive up from Polson again for the meal, but fun to try.

We enjoyed great food, excellent service and a wonderful atmosphere. Really impressed by the selection of beers and drinks. Definitely recommend going here if you’re in the area.

Incredible bar and atmosphere! Bloody Mary Sunday is a great deal. Make sure to come by from 11-2 for a good time. While it’s not on the lake, there’s outdoor seating in the back patio near a peaceful creek. Food options are classic Montana Brewery special. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Beer and food so good I bought the shirt, yup I did it. The service was incredible, food was perfection, nachos to the moon! And the burgers and salads oh so good. Great indoor and outdoor seating by the creek leading down to the lake. Plenty of parking and really great people willing to go above and beyond to time the food and grab that shirt... I'll be back for sure.

Our bartender was one of the best servers we have had in a very long time and we travel the globe for food! Nachos were super fun but a half order fed two for lunch and dinner lol!

Loved the food,service and amazing atmosphere…. ONCE YOU FINALLY GOT SEATED!!! They told us that it would be 30-40 min tops to be seated if we wanted the first available seating (could be indoor, outdoor or upstairs) so we said yes. An hour and 25 min later we were finally seated. Since we drove 30 min to get there (they do not take reservations), dinner was over a 4 hour tour. We came for the Walleye- they had just ran out. Ugh. It was wonderful… but it’s 4 hours in my life I’ll never get back, (and I didn’t even get my Walleye) lol.

Tamarack is a very quiet brewery that serves a variety of craft beers and a wide selection of entries to include a bison burger. The staff are the best and ready to meet your needs and answer any questions you have. A mountain vibe, the distillery is located of the main drag on a small stream. The porch has plenty of seating as does the inside.. You can hear the traffic but the atmosphere outweighs the light sound of the traffic. You can walk down to the stream and walk along it for a short distance. When we visited it was late spring and the crowd was minimal. The area this establishment is located on the outskirts the city of Kalispell. Our waitress Ariel was awesome and took excellent care of us. You will receive a fair amount of food for the price you pay. We ended up taking food home. Bathrooms are clean and parking is ample. This is rated five star because I left felling good and enjoyed the stay.

Food Travel in Montana Save for your next trip!!! Tamarack Brewing Company has been brewing great craft beer for the past 17 years. This brewery and pub house is near beautiful Flathead Lake and it's definitely worth a visit! If you have a chance, sit on the patio. One of my new favorites when visiting Montana. They have rotating seasonal taps, which are quite good. Not sure which to try? Get their beer flight. The Mission Mountain Rib Eye was perfectly cooked!! It came with their house made chimichurri sauce. Their Brew Kettle Ribs were fall off the bone tender and had a tasty stout bbq sauce. Wonderful customer service from India! The only thing I would mention are the yellow jackets flying around the patio area. They can be quite annoying while you're eating.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch after driving around Flathead Lake. We got the flagship sampler which included generous pours of seven beers - none of them stood out individually to us; if I were to choose, the oatmeal stout was our favorite but everything else was solid. For lunch, we got a cup of their daily soup (a Kimchi beef stew which was delicious), a Spinach salad and the huckleberry salmon plate (this was tasty but came with seasonal veggies and mashed potatoes which were the same color so overall not a very colorful/aesthetically pleasing plate - could use some garnish). The food was very tasty and honestly better than I would expect at a brewpub. Our server was super friendly and attentive and overall it was a nice atmosphere - there was outdoor seating with some fire pits going on outside. Good spot to stop for lunch!

Food, service, vibes, sports on TV, cold beer, awesome menu -- 5 stars all the way around!

Having gone back and read my initial review, I had more knowledge, so my expectations were better set. The food here is OUT OF THIS WORLD good! The service was perfectly balanced and the ambiance is just GREAT, making one want to just hang out there all day (or night). Loved it! Not inexpensive, but worth the money.

We did a day long excursion around Flathead Lake and down to the Bison Preserve just South of that. On the way back we stopped in Tamarack Alehouse for a bite and some beers. We didn't see much on the menu that appealed to us at the time so we just opted for the garlic and bleu cheese fries and two delicious pints of IPA. One was so delicious we grabbed a crowler to take back to our room for later! Service was good and it was a nice, clean larger place than we expected.

This is a quite spacious place with both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area has a nice view. Chicken enchiladas were enough for two. Come with delicious tortilla chips and a creamy dip on the side.

My beef loving extremely picky husband said the Big Sky Burger was the best burger he's ever had the Hi-Line IPA is also fantastic. We got wings with house made blue cheese and fish tacos as well and my little one had the kids Mac & cheese. Everything was delicious! 4 days later and my husband is still raving about it! We'll be back for sure.

I stopped at Tamarack Brewing before my trip home from Montana... and it was the best move I made food wise. This is a gem! Wonderful people, working and enjoying the place. I met some lovely people and had great conversations.. ate one of the best steaks I've had. So good I put it in a ziplock and had leftovers on the plane.. absolutely will be back, and I'm from Jersey.

Tamarack is by far my wife and I favorite brewery in flathead valley. The service is on point and they never disappoint. Great selection of beers and the food is amazing. Will continue to recommend this brewery!

Ambiance was great. Service was just so/so. Not particularly attentive and did not check on us after the food was delivered. The food was average at best. I had two types of chicken wings - too much sauce - not very good. Someone else in our party had pizza and said it was good. Wait time was reasonable. Overall, just ok.

We had dinner here today and our server India J. was awesome! Great service is really hard to come by these days! Our Gin & Tonics were perfect too, great bartender! It's a very cool spot! The beer battered fries and garlic fries were delicious!

We like to go for dinners and a nice local brew. Its one of the nicer food places around. they make a great burger and I love the sip and go naked apricot beer.

Third time eating at the restaurant. Food is decent but the dining areas are dirty and really needs a good scrubbing. It lacks ambiance and it's noisy. This trip our waiter took our order, another person brought the food and we got the check. No water refill no follow through, no tip either. Really just a disappointment

If you're in MT, this place is a MUST! Anything on the menu is delicious and full of flavor. The service is fast, attentive and has all the Montana love! Fireplace, great bar seating and a patio that is perfect for the summer! Our favorite place for a reason

The food and beer here is some of the best in the valley! The staff is by far our favorites! Gage and his crew kill it in the kitchen! Rachel, Mike, Sam, Liz and JR rock the bar! Sam and Kyler are our favorite wait staff! If you're in the valley Tamarack is a must!

Driving from Coeur d'Alene resort to Whitefish Montana. Caddy says omg you have to eat and grab a beer at Tamarack Brewery. So we did and must say the big sky burger and beer bottom blonde. The line in this small town says it all and well worth the wait. Go and Enjoy, we sure did.

Amazing burgers and fun atmosphere! They were able to accomodate our large party quickly and with great service!

This is a cool place for families to spend some time. They were easily able to accommodate our large group of nine people, which had 5 kids ranging from 4-9 years. The kids spent most of their time playing in the creek, while we adults enjoyed food and drinks on the expansive deck overlooking the creek. We were happy that the kids were entertained with the creek because it allowed the adults to relax. The decor has a cool industrial yet comfortable feel. Their kids' menu had simple child-friendly options (mac & cheese, burger, noodles with butter or marina), which our kids enjoyed. The adults ordered the Big Sky Burger, Huckleberry Salmon, and Chicken Caesar salad, and they were all very tasty. They have a wide selection of beers. We ordered the Flagship Flight, which had samplers of 8 beers. The beers were decent. Overall, this is a nice brewery with good food. I definitely recommend Tamarack.

Great beer and burgers! Outside seating next to Stoner Creek very relaxing with great views. Waitress was very attentive "no tax on tips"!

my family comes up to montana once a year and this place is always a must. most of us get the huckleberry salmon, but the mac n cheese is so killer that we all decided to split it. our waiter this time was hyper attentive and on par for having a party of 11. the bar has a great vibe and it always feels good to walk in here.

Every couple of months friends drag me here to eat.The prices are ridiculous, they go up every few months.Home of the 30$ nachos and that does not include and meat.The 25$ salmon is the size of a bay scallop. How does this place stay in bussiness, prepare yourself for sky high prices and tiny portions of food.

Food was great. We sat on the patio. Heaters for each table were a nice touch. We shared a rack of ribs!

The Tamarack has great service and selection. Everyone can find something yummy and that fits their taste buds and their dietary needs. Everything from awesome nachos, to salads, rids and burgers. Dont forget the mac and cheese. No to mention their beer! Dont for get the great patio and creek which it awesome for families. Cheers to Shelby for her great service today!

visiting family here in MT from CA and enjoyed dinner on the patio. The waitress was attentive and provided wonderful service. The food options were fabulous and no complaints from anyone for their choices. The drinks were wonderful and a great atmosphere for family time. We had to wait for a table but the bar was convenient to have a drink and comfortably wait for a table.

This place was awesome! It was really busy, so we had a wait, but once we were seated the food and service were impeccable. It is a brewery/bar, so a little noisy, but overall this was fabulous!

Service was great, really nice and attentive staff. The food on the other hand was terrible. The starter we were recommended (their pizza roll) looked and tasted like something that was forgotten about in a Costco freezer. Awful quality ingredients and just a big hunk of dough. My husbands burger looked and tasted terrible, as did my tofu poke bowl which was just drowned in their spicy mayo sauce and served on a bed of over cooked jasmine rice. Yuck. The beer tasted metallic, not refreshing at all. Would not recommend and in-fact the worst meal we've encountered on our 7 state road trip so far.

We go 30 - 40 times a year. Great menu options... fish, beef and a surprising chicken enchilda dish that is better than I got in my 50 years as an adult dining in my home state of Texas.

Three stars only because it was probably my least favorite restaurant of all the ones I tried during my trip. The restaurant itself was large and the staff was nice. The menu had a lot of options. It took us a while to get our drinks though. We opted for the spinach artichoke dip to start. There were barely any artichokes or spinach. It was more like a hearty cheese dip which made it a bit disappointing. The fish tacos were huge. Well above taco size. I couldn't finish them. The fish was breaded and cooked perfectly. The toppings were lack luster but, the fish being delicious made up for it. Huckleberry salmon- salmon was overcooked. A weird combination of goat cheese with the salmon but it was alright. Wouldn't recommend this dish.

Can't go wrong here. Burgers are great, chicken enchiladas are great, fish is really good. Drinks are good, lots of local beers to sample. Sip N Go is delicious ! Always busy & you'll see why after a visit. Servers are prompt & friendly.

Great food and service. Enjoyed sitting by the fire and having a beverage and salmon dinner.

My kid's root beer cost $4. His refill cost another $4. The price isn't even listed on the menu. Total BS.

Stopped by for the Flagship Flight and sat on their outside patio. It was so beautiful and peaceful with the creek and great tree shade. Angelo was an awesome waiter and made the experience very enjoyable. The flagship beers were all delicious. There wasn't one on the flight that we didn't love. Great spot!

Tamarack is one block in from the main strip and I recommend you don't miss them... Super clean, nice patio, friendly staff, excellent food. I did a "build it yourself" pizza... believe it was spinach and mushroom. Had an excellent Pinot Grigio with that. (I know it's a brewery but I'm more of a wine guy) He had their adult mac n cheese. It was next level. She had their fried chicken sandwich. Everyone loved everything. I would put Tamarack and Harbor Grill as my two favorite restaurants in Lakeside.

HORRIBLE service. We got so much attitude from the waitstaff simply for being a large group celebrating a friend at one of the few restaurants in Lakeside. If you don't want large groups- don't accommodate them. We loved the food and drinks but simply put- the unprofessionalism and disrespect from the waitstaff was not worth it. Our table's waitress was awesome and we appreciated a friendly face but every other bartender and waiter was rude. To be clear they do not accept reservations but accept many large groups.

Awesome service, good portions and tasty beer! My husband's crew has been doing work in the area and eats here several times a week for lunch.

Food...there is just a lot of it. No matter what you order, just know you are getting a lot. I'm not a big person, so maybe that has something to say, but if you order the 1/2 Nachos, don't plan on eating anything else. The food was good, but it's just a lot. The people were nice. It was busy, but relaxed ambiance. Great beer!

Our waitresses Jayden and Dani were amazing! Great service, fantastic food, delicious beer flavors. Jayden was extremely accommodating and efficient! I highly recommend the Tamarack!

Delicious food great ambiance. Our server was super nice and gave that extra little attention to my 6yr old which was great. Beer was wonderful. I got a blonde tap which i believe they make but i could be wrong. Would definitely come here if we're in the area again.

Loved the food so much we ate it twice while in town! Great service! Had the Elk Bolognese, the Big Sky burger, the huckleberry salmon and the Railroad Ties for an app! All really amazing! Fries were yummy too!

We've been going to this place to eat for six years. Today was awful. The staff was terrible. The hostess asked us if we wanted to eat upstairs, and we said no she just walked away and wouldn't even look at us, and then our waiter was terrible. He took half an hour to take her order, and then ignored us for the rest of the time.. we ordered wings and a pizza and both were terrible!! did this place change hands? We definitely will not be back !

Ate at Tamarack twice during our weeklong vacation in Montana visiting Glacier National Park. First night had the nachos and their beer. Everything was tasty and the service was excellent! Second time during our visit had the fish tacos and a burger, again didn't disappoint! There isn't too many restaurants in the area, so this is a good choice that offers both inside and outdoor dining. You can buy merchandise and take beer home with you.

Fish n chips were one of the best I've ever had. This is a must order if you're in town! Garlic blue cheese fries were delicious! I ordered it with a side of ranch and every piece tasted like heaven. Spinach artichoke dip was delicious! I love the options of bread or colorful tortilla chips. The chips were a bit salty and I had to brush some of it off. Other than that, it was sooo good! There's big chunks of artichoke in the dip too! The prime rib brew bread wasn't my favorite. The bread is from a local bakery, but I wish they either toasted the bread or grilled it for a char on the outside. It was pretty soggy and wet when it came to the table. You can also see in the photo that it was just a regular wrap. Think of a philly cheesesteak wrap and this is your prime rib brew bread. The server didn't ask for my side options and defaulted to fries. I would've chosen something different since I ordered the fries as an appetizer. I took it home and heated it up in my toaster oven and it was way better! Whiskey peach is delicious! I only had that one drink and it gave me a good buzz. It has that sweet and savory taste to It if you're into that kind of stuff. It's cider which I'm not really a fan of, but this drink is also a must try. It's $9 for a glass, but worth every penny!

Friendly and energetic staff! This place has indoor/ outdoor seating, with two levels inside. Great cocktails! Every time I eat there, food comes out in a timely manner (depending on how busy it is), and it's pretty tasty. My favorite so far is the fish tacos.

Decent food and atmosphere. Service is hit and miss. Today we ordered to go and had to go back twice for our drinks and then silverware. We've had better experiences other days. Also to go drinks are very small for the price.

Went there when visiting some friends. We absolutely loved the place. Our server Kyler was awesome!!! Would return just for his service! However the food was just as good. We'll definitely be back next time we are visiting!!
