Our stay at this all-inclusive hotel in Aruba fell far below expectations, especially considering how much we paid. The rooms are in serious need of remodeling. The furniture is outdated and poorly maintained, and the bathroom walls had peeling, cracking paint, which made the room feel neglected. On top of that, the walls are so thin you can hear every noise from the room next door, which made it difficult to relax or sleep.
The food was another letdown. Everything tasted bland and basic — definitely not what you expect from a resort at this price point. It felt like standard, low-effort hotel buffet food, which was disappointing given the cost of the stay.
The service at Cunucu Terrace was the worst part. The staff were rude, visibly miserable, and clearly favored certain guests over others. When we sat down, no one offered us water or checked on us, even though we watched them do it for other tables. We had to wave someone down just to get drinks, even though guests serve their own food and the staff are there specifically for beverages. The whole experience felt unprofessional and unwelcoming.
Another big downside: there’s basically no nightlife at this hotel. All the evening activity is at the Divi next door. Yes, we had access to it, but for the price we paid, this hotel should offer something on-site instead of relying on another property for entertainment. If you’re looking for energy, music, or a younger vibe, you definitely won’t find it here.
This resort is not ideal for a younger crowd. Most of the guests we saw were 40+, which is fine, but it completely changes the atmosphere. If you’re looking for a lively or social environment, this isn’t it.
Overall, we left feeling very disappointed, and this hotel did not match the cost or the expectations. I do not recommend staying here, especially if you’re younger or looking for a more enjoyable, well-rounded resort experience.
