There are lots of positive things to say about our stay with the Tamarind Hotel. The staff here are extremely friendly and polite. Our special thanks would go to Ether who made our breakfast every day (she gives good cooking tips)! Christopher who was our server for most meals. (Always seemed to be on duty whatever the hour) and Marica, our maid who took care of us and went over and above to make sure we had everything we needed when one of our party was unwell. We noticed the extra bottles of water and your patience in accessing our room. Thank you!|The food here is really good and especially enjoyed the Positano restaurant we visited next door on three occasions. The staff here were also excellent as was the food.|We visited just before the hotel was about to undergo a major refurb so no need to harp on about bits and bobs being a bit tired, it will soon be shiny and new. |The beach here is picture postcard beautiful with the hotel being right on the beach means lots of lovely walks and direct access to the Caribbean Sea.|There were never any problems finding a sun bed, either at the beach or pool. |The only negative I have is that it was very quiet in the evenings with entertainment only on three nights of our stay, finishing at 9pm. As we were travelling with two young people (19 and 22) we and they would have welcomed a bit more to do in the evening. |Thank you again to the team and I hope to see you all again in the future.

This has been our fifth stay at an Elegant Hotels Group hotel in Barbados, and so we had a good idea of what to expect. We have not been disappointed.||||Our interconnecting rooms are spacious, with fantastic views of the sea. We are above the reception, but you wouldn't know it - there isn't much noise. The free water sports have been brilliant. We did the rings (or tubes as they are called in America), the kayaks and paddle boarding, while we took the sea taxi to a couple of the other hotels.||||My wife overdid it on the rum and cokes one night. The very helpful pharmacy is only a short walk away in Holetown, as is a supermarket and two banks.||||The rooms look tired, but as Marriott has well documented, the chain is about to undergo an upgrade, so we weren't surprised by the condition of certain parts of the hotel.||||Most of the staff have been great. Although it's an all-inclusive hotel, don't forget to tip the staff now and again. It looks really pikey if you don't.||||My only concern is for the future wellbeing of the staff. A number of guests have asked the staff what is going to happen to them in the intervening period between the closure and reopening of the hotel, and they don't know. I really hope that Marriott looks after the staff. If they don't, it could be a PR disaster for them. It is something which we and a number of regular Elegant Hotels guests will be keeping a close eye on.

Currently staying at the Tamarind in the junior ocean view suit (316). The room is large, cleaned every day with fresh towels and has a great view. Yes the hotel is a bit tired in parts but this has not impacted on our stay. No issues getting beach towels or sun lounges. The food has been varied, we haven’t had a bad meal yet. |Most of the staff have been friendly especially Ray at the bar! The free water sports are great. Sea visibility clear and snorkelling off the beach fantastic- wide variety of colourful fish.

Loved our stay at The Tamarind. We had a huge room off the adult spa pool with a patio and view of gardens and ocean. Incredibly comfortable bed and kept very clean with beach towels left in the room daily.||Food was superb, could possibly do with more vegetarian options. Buffet some nights and themed a la carte. All the staff were hard working and friendly. Liked the pool ambassador getting drinks occasionally and handing out ice lollies in the afternoon.||We enjoyed the free water sports and the water taxi to other hotels in the group was a real bonus- we went to Waves for lunch one day. Very different hotel and we preferred the Mediterranean style of the Tamarind and the fact it was spread out along a couple of beaches giving a spacious feel. Sea was really warm and we saw loads of fish just off the beach when snorkelling. ||I know the hotel is due to be refurbished but nothing detracted from our stay. Would definitely return.

A huge, belated thanks to the staff at the Tamarind for making our little family reunion/big B-day week-long trip a massive success. We were a group of 16, aged 2 - 80, and everyone had a blast. The kids loved the pools, the parents loved the bars by the pools, I enjoyed slipping away to the adjacent beach oasis. The free water sports were a hit, the food was excellent, the ocean views from the suites were breathtaking. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and were pros at dealing with all sorts. We had an amazing trip. I hope to go back to the Tamarind someday and I highly recommend it.

Do NOT BOOK! Property is falling apart.|Front desk greeted me terribly. I got Alana to step in and check us in. Got to our room and it was mold/mildew in bathrooms, toilets running and wouldn’t stop, floors dirty, hair in the tub, ripped bedsheets, tore up furniture, it looked like a nightmare. I’m still waiting for a manager to change our room. ||THIS PROPERTY MADE ME SO SAD IT RUINED MY BARBADOS VACATION!||My family stayed 3 nights at the Little Good Harbour and it was amazing! Newly renovated 2 bedrooms villas for half the cost and the staff went above and beyond for my family. Our last 2 days we decided to stay at the Tamarind All Inclusive, paid more and it is just run down and disgusting. The employees I can tell is embarrassed how run down this place is and they don’t know what to do. Management please renovate!

Beautiful hotel with a stunning location, just wow. The food was adequate and sometimes amazing. Breakfast buffet style, but do go and see Ether on the egg station, but if you order an omelette, don't ask for cheese until last, you've been warned. Lunch the sane buffet style unless you order food from the bar, but expect a slow delivery. Evening meal, sometimes off a menu other times buffet, it seems to depend on how they feel that day. Also, book your restaurant times asap for your evening meal. The beach was small but adequate, but the pool was more than enough for me. I do wish they had poolside waiters, but considering our experience with the hospitality staff, it may have been a blessing in disguise. The rooms are dated, but they suit the surroundings and are cleaned to a high standard. If you have a chance eat at the restaurant next door. It's included in your stay, but book it as soon as you arrive, the views are stunning. Unfortunately, waitresses and bar Staff were the only things that let this place down, 90% of them that is, the rest couldn't do enough for you. It may be that they had a bad week, but either way, it put a downer on our holiday.

The property is lovely. The service was wonderful. Our favorites were Miss Alana at the Front Desk, Miss Ether at Breakfast, and Positano Restaurant, in particular their Excellent Bartender. Services included a ferry between sister properties and a variety of water sports. Unfortunately, water conditions didn't allow for us to use these services, but it is good to know it's available, weather permitting. My suggestion is to come prepared with Barbadian currency, because there is no atm on property. Also, it would have been nice to change up the breakfast buffet side items each day. Overall, I would stay here again.
