My home for the 2 weeks when I stayed in Manila for some important matters. They have good safety protocols to keep their guests safe during the pandemic. The staff are so accommodating with all my queries, concerns, and requests. I felt safe and at home during my stay. The place is clean and it is literally walking distance from the Robinson's Place Ermita and several important landmarks nearby. Overall, this is a good place to stay. Thank you Tambayan.

I really liked this hotel. Its affordable and beds are comfy. This is the place for you if you really just want to rest. However, since its a shared dormitory, you have to be quiet so you wont disturb others. The facilities are great. AC in the room is good but you also have your own cute little fan with you. The sheets were so fragrant. I just loved being tucked in a comfy and warm sheets. Another great thing with this hotel is the fact that its just right in front if Robinsons mall. Its also near Mcdonalds! Everything is within reach. Very strategic.

The bed was so comfortable w/ comforter and 1 pillow available. You do have to buy some of the items like basic toiletries but good thing I have a spare one. The location is very wise because it's close to the famous landmarks here in Manila like the Ocean Park, Manila Bay, Robinson's place, Hotels etc. The streets nearby are a very busy one. Its close to many fastfood chains and spa. Grab made it easier for me to navigate through the streets. The staff are very kind and professional. They assisted me in my baggage. The bathroom is also clean. I'm so happy that they have hot showers available. The Vasquez room that I got has a tv and safe box. It has a huge mirror facing my bed. The sad thing tho is that my ceiling was dripping so i switched my sleeping position. That is why I have to put 4 stars. However, this place is so practical for backpackers and travellers. It's so affordable. Will still come back to this hostel. ❤❤❤❤

Great hostel with nice friendly staff. I paid 500php (update - previous trip was 2016, in 2018 the price for a capsule is 700php) for a capsule while I was there. The room was air-conditioned and each capsule had a fan, mirror, light, locker and international plug socket. The bathrooms were clean with hot showers (you are provided with a towel. There is a roof top area to sit in and a small open common room down stairs where you can also buy food. A 'light breakfast' is provided which is just toast/bread and a hot drink.

The ambiance is great, not crowded, historical things displayed around the property, the linen is very good, towel is fluffy not a cheap one. Across the street is a big Robinsons mall, food chain stores, convenience stores and laundry shops close by. Most of all, great value for your stay, cheaper but clean compared to others..

I love everything in this hostel! First is the great location! a min walk to Robinson's Manila and 5-10 min walk to LRT station. Loved how accommodating the staff are! You need to deposit 1,000 before checking in. The capsules are actually spacious, you can have your privacy thru blinds. There's an outlet, a fan, mirror, lights and a towel provided inside. Wifi is good. There's locker for everyone, padlock is provided. The bathroom is being cleaned at least thrice a day. There was a free buffet breakfast on my first day but that was only bread and coffee. The ambience is definitely what I loved the most of my stay. It was really a great experience staying here! I surely am coming back on my future Manila trips. :) P.S. during night time, it's really noisy due to nearby gastro pubs

Staying in a dorm-type room is not the most comfortable. The lockers are not big enough for travelling bags. No chairs/table in the room. The bags and things of my roommates are scattered on the floor. Generally clean though and AC works fine. I appreciate the self-service light breakfast. Staff are friendly and attends to needs immediately.

Superb capsule hotel in a colonial house which feels like a small 5 stars. Wooden stairs etc. Great lobby. Great location next to huge mall. Central. Great bar at first floor where locals come. This guy Ronnie at the reception was a pain in the ass. Rooms n toilets super clean.

Yelp
(I am reviewing Tambayan's bar) I really wanted to give Tambayan a higher grade. A gorgeous, fresh, and exciting addition to Malate's food scene, Tambayan is the type of establishment that Malate desperately needs. However, I wasn't too keen on the dishes we had. We ordered their Sisig Rolls and their Chicken Tenders, and while the Tenders were just okay, the Rolls was a bit underwhelming and a bit too oily. The waitress who was assigned to our quadrant also seemed to be a bit out of it, although that could be due to a number of things. Now, to be fair, we didn't order the main entrees as we were hopping from place to place. We've heard a lot of good things about their main dishes that I'm willing to go back for a second try. And seriously, the place is just too gorgeous to fail. It just has to work. It just has to. For now, 3 stars.

Yelp
The good people of this establishment recreates this colonial mansion to a refuge for the weary traveler. It offers spacious capsule beds engineered to maximize privacy and accommodate one's creature comforts. The wet areas are always kept clean and it smells clean. The sheets are clean, and crisp. The best thing about this place is the staff. They are kind, accommodating, and would always go out of their way and go the extra mile to deliver an experience beyond what I paid for. Tambayan is more to me than a transient stop; It's my second home.
