The hotel is located about 5 blocks from the main square and the area is safe to walk around. The hotel is cozy, quiet and nice. I returned to this hotel after about 10 years and found that the rooms were rundown, the mattresses and pillows need to be changed urgently and the bathroom had a foul smell. We stayed in one of the suites, which was very spacious and big enough for 2 couples. The room was equipped with a small refrigerator and a living room on the second floor. Breakfast was included in our rate from 6 am to 10 am. We got to the dining room at 9:30 am and almost everything had run out. There was no silverware, there were only 2 dishes left, no bread, no glasses and most of the tables had to be cleaned. It seemed like the hotel is understaffed. We sat at one of the tables and asked if they were going to bring out more food and they said yes. Then they told us that the bread had run out, but 10 minutes later they added more. They seemed to be a bit disorganized. I had to ask for glasses a couple times so we could get some juice and it took them a while to bring them out. We ordered some eggs and coffee, they were fine, but the damage had been done. I like this hotel because it is nice, quiet and cozy, but I am not sure if I will return.

Very cute boutique hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. You are able to request a breakfast before your early morning excursions and it will be ready when you leave. We had a double room but it had three queen size beds so very spacious. They clean every day. Very charming!

I highly recommend this hotel for those traveling alone or with family.||To begin with, the hotel is situated in an excellent location. While it may require an additional five-minute walk, I believe it is well worth the effort!|hotel s interior is immaculate, and the decor aligns beautifully with the local ambiance.||Additionally, the service was exceptionally friendly. We needed to visit Lima three days prior to our check-in, but we preferred not to carry large luggage. Therefore, we inquired with the hotel about the possibility of storing our large luggage for three days. The restaurant graciously agreed to our request.||Moreover, the room is quite unique, spacious, and equipped with all necessary amenities.||For travelers, a hotel experience hinges on service quality, room size, friendly staff, and overall cleanliness and organization.||This restaurant excels in all these aspects, which is why my partner and I are extremely satisfied and wholeheartedly recommend it!

Awesome hotel - location, cleanliness, & staff. Close to everything, a bit of uphill walk back to the hotel but this is to be expected in Cusco. The property is well maintained, our room was cleaned everyday. Finally, all the staff we encountered were the best in what they do. From the frontdesk to the cafe attendants, they were all extremely friendly and professional. I would stay at this hotel when back in Cusco. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend this hotel! Very clean, It’s close to everything. Hotel was accommodating with airport pick up & drop off. Staff were friendly & breakfast was delicious! Definitely try to book the rooms with hot tub. Jets were strong and it came in handy after all the hiking. If I ever come back to Cusco, I’d stay here again without a doubt!

My family of 6 had a great stay. Spacious rooms, great staff and easy walk to the main square. coca tea always available and a nice courtyard. Each room a bit different which adds to the charm. Breakfast good with lots of choices. Thanks for a fabulous stay!

With deep gratitude I would like to share the truest Peruvian hospitality that I received. The hotel proved its hospitality by allowing me to cancel my stay. I am sure if I had not had logistics complication I would have enjoyed my stay there. This warm hospitality ensure my return to Cuzco to truly appreciate Tambo Del Inka boutique hotel. I look forward to my future stay.

A nice enough hotel which was let down by lax security, dishonest housekeeping and indifferent management. ||We stayed for a couple of weeks in June. On the second to last day we noticed some items missing from our room after housekeeping had visited as well as other items displaced from our suitcases. It was clear someone had been rifling through our stuff whilst we were out. I tripled checked all the stuff in the room to make sure the items were definitely missing and then we reported it immediately to the front desk and asked for the missing items to be searched for. They did not get back to us with an answer, we had to chase them a couple of times with no result. After this we were really stressed about leaving our room and asked for housekeeping to be kept out, which meant we were not getting the service we were paying for. Upon checkout on the final day I mentioned the missing items again to the front desk and the man at reception just shrugged at me in indifference, which left me feeling incredibly frustrated. It is a shame as the rest of our stay was quite pleasant, but unfortunately I cannot excuse my belongings going missing and no action being taken to recover them or compensate for the loss, so for this reason I would not recommend staying at Tambo Del Arriero, not unless you have a lock on your suitcase and don’t mind losing your stuff. ||In other more general info: |- The room is advertised as being sound-proofed, it was not, it was very noisy and we could hear the conversations and movements of next door as well as the comings and goings down the hallway. |- There is no door on the en-suite bathroom, so absolutely no privacy. I have never come across this before. This has been mentioned in other reviews as well and the hotel has not addressed the issue, which feels like it would be a simple thing to fix to make guests’ stay more comfortable. |- There was no natural light in the room we stayed in, which felt a bit oppressive. |- The food from the restaurant and breakfast buffet is nice and the catering staff are very friendly and efficient. There is always herbal tea and water available at reception to help yourself.
