The energy of the deli pulls you in, but it’s the food that makes you stay. Without a doubt, the best eggplant parm any of us have ever eaten—melty, tender, and full of rich, comforting flavor. The lasagne alla bolognese was also excellent, layered with fresh pasta, slow-cooked ragù, and a creamy béchamel that made every bite feel like pure comfort. Between the buzzing deli atmosphere and the quality of the food, Tamburini is an essential stop in Bologna.

Tortellini with pumpkin were super satisfying, but missing sauce (butter/oil salve) that could have elevated the dish. Grilled vegetables (side dish) were delicious. And of course…great aperol spritz!

I don’t usually write reviews, but what happened at Tamburini in Bologna deserves to be shared so others can avoid wasting their time and energy. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had — not just in Bologna, but anywhere. The hospitality was appalling. The staff were rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in providing even the most basic service. We were seated, ignored for an extended period of time, and then quite literally never served the food. No explanation, no apology, just pure arrogance and neglect. Restaurants exist to serve people — Tamburini acts like they’re doing you a favor by letting you sit there and be ignored. If you’re in Bologna, avoid this place at all costs. There is absolutely nothing worth experiencing here — neither the service, nor the atmosphere. An utter embarrassment to Italian hospitality.

Really nice lunch here as part of a Collette tour. Lasagna was excellent, and the charcuterie plate was perfect.

Great atmosphere and delicious food. The tortellini are amazing as well as the starter plate with freshly cut mortadella and ham

Non-expensive but low quality food. The flavours of Italian cuisine are known to enchant the taste buds but unfortunately it's not the case of this place that is located in a pretty touristic street.

This is an absolute treasure trove of amazing local produce. They had Parmesan cheese on sale aged from 12 months to a staggering 108 months. There was a great selection of Balsamic vinegars & olive oil plus Italian liqueurs. The melon cream liqueur was especially lovely. There is a deli counter with salads, pasta dishes etc plus a large meat counter with a huge range of Italian cooked meats. Most notably they are one of the only 2 sellers who sell Salame Rosa - a Bolognese speciality. It has a texture similar to ham. They stock a large selection of pasta, preserves including mustard fruits. There is a small dining area at the rear but we didn't eat in. The staff were very friendly & happy to help.
