Tamuning Plaza Hotel

It's kinda old and not super clean, but rooms are definitely not that bad after all. Bed is very comfortable and wifi/parking is for free. Aircon works fine. Location is acceptable, especially if you have a car. I've got a special deal and paid only $38 a night which is an excellent value for Guam. Considering the price I couldn't be happier with my choice.

The hotel is old. Everything is either broken or dirty. The bed is decent, aircon works good, shower was more like tap water, cabinet's doors were broken and fridge not working. ||There is a weak wifi, no lift so you have to carry your stuff up in stairs. ||Rather than that, the hotel stuff are super nice, willing to help, kind,and keen to help. ||I got a rented car from the reception at $45 per day including tax and insurance. ||I came at 6am and was told that I can get early to my room for only $30 which was great. ||||I would not recommend for families with small children or old people, but for those who come for a short visit, transit or even a day or two - good place for a good price. ||It also near by the main beach.

The room we were assigned to was a lot better than I expected. A/C was nice and cold, bed was comfy, bathroom had clean white towels. Furniture was outdated and the TV was obsolete but everything was functional. The cable and WiFi was definitely a plus. Room also had a small kitchen, mini-fridge, and closet. ||The hotel does give off a creepy vibe but that might have been because we were the only people there that night. The front desk agent was very helpful and courteous. ||I would recommend this place to others looking for a good deal. Why spend so much money on a place that you're only going to sleep in for a few hours?

I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel when I checked in as there were quite negative reviews. I do see why people are taken back with it as it is an old hotel in a non-touristy area. If you are looking for 4-5star hotel quality then this definitely is not it, but the check in process was smooth and efficient, staff were pleasant and the room was clean enough to rest. The best part is the room was huge and had a fully equipped kitchen (we ended up not using it but it was a pleasant surprise). It was a lot better in terms of service and cleanliness compared to out 190 usd per night room we stayed before where we had to stay in dirty and mold smelling room with staff who continuously lied and was beyond rude so my family was quite satisfied with what we got for the price we paid

We stayed here for 45 days tomorrow is our check out!!! And I can honestly say that the owner/Manager is pretty nice. His really helpful. The front desk clerk Jason welcomes all the guest with a friendly smile and he just makes us feel at home. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and family visiting the island or maybe just wants to relax for a weekend getaway.. Thank you for your hospitality.. You guys are awesome!!

We had a very pleasant 5 day, 4 night stay at this hotel! I believe the bad reviews left from others had unreasonable expectations. This place is conveniently located, affordable, comfortable, and yes, it IS clean. Everyday, I saw housekeeping come through the floors and do their rounds. Stripping beds and all. The two times I walked up to housekeeping and asked for new towels, the towels on their cart were warm and fresh out of the dryer. I saw no roaches as some have reported, but if there were..well, you’re on a tropical island. The staff at the front desk are extremely friendly and offer recommendations on what to do around town. There is a beach right across the street that is beautiful and away from all the touristy hustle and bustle. Hotel is close to many local coffee shops and a delicious Thai restaurant. The TV also has cable and lots of channels to choose from. AC works great and keeps the room cool. I would definitely stay here again because it offers comfort and convenience for a great value! Come with high expectations anywhere and you’ll always be unsatisfied somehow. Come with an open mind and you’ll be very pleasantly surprised!

The staffs are all friendly and approachable. We booked the double room which is very spacious, the beds are comfortable, the AC and heater work well. They even have a service to drop you off/ pick you up at the testing center (So if you are an examinee, staying here is really convenient).

Positive, the staff are very nice, polite, helpful, friendly, and informative. I felt very much watched and secure... several cameras and lobby phone. Also, the picture on google is old but the Lobby is nice and clean with printing and fax services. Additionally, rental cars are available. Negative and positive. The first room smelled like cigarettes and death but the good thing after moving across the hall, the room was large, clean, smelled nice with quiet air conditioner, with good lighting, hot shower, great pressure and huge tub. However, the carpet is dirty and so is the sofa. The WIFI is very strong and fast in the lobby but almost non existent in room 321, so that was very inconvenient, I rented the room not the lobby. Although there is no smoking, the corridors smell like an ASH TRAY and there is no lift. However, they offer a free shuttle daily to the mall, snacks,cold drinks, and water in the lobby. The hotel is across from beach and in a great location very close to most tourist areas and Western Union. There are several restaurants that deliver. If you are on a budget, I would recommend Tamuning Plaza Hotel.

I caught a taxi from airport to tamuning plaza hotel for 28 bucks in december 6 2023 wanted a room guy told me that they hotel is currently being used as a homeless shelter.

We had the single person room Pros: Comes with a bed, a two seater couch, a mini fridge, a closet, shelves, lamps, small dining table, and a tv. The air conditioner is really cold and The hot water was really hot. The water pressure was good. Very quiet and and staff was really friendly, the owner has a cat that is very nice and welcoming. It's very cheap for the room. The mini fridge kept our drinks cold. The room was not dusty or dirty. Cons: There was cigarette burns on the carpet. The tv was small, one window and no balcony. No elevator and hallways smell like cigarettes. You pay for what you get.

The hotels rooms are alright. We have tv, mini fridge, and desk to sit on. But the room has only one chair so I cannot sit on the same table as my boyfriend whenever we eat. They have free WiFi but it's really slow. Customer service is alright. The people at the front desk are very accommodating but I had issues with the cleaning lady (the Chuukese woman). I asked the Chuukese cleaning lady if she missed cleaning our room and she outright rudely say that she never misses a room. Like what the hell, at least kindly explain to me the process of cleaning the rooms rather than speaking rudely to me. I definitely called the front desk to report her. The other cleaning lady (the Palauan lady) is always act decently whenever she cleans my hotel room.

If you like camping then you'll appreciate this hotel. No elevators and we were on the third floor ! Good thing we travel light. The room does have and odor and the carpet has cigarette burns all over. You have to turn on the Heater switch and wait 20 minutes for the hot water to come on. There was a CRT tv that actually still works. The mini refrigerator had to be plugged in and when we did it didn't work I actually think it works but the ac outlet didn't because my phone charger didn't work when plugged in to that socket. Ha ha ha. And the refer was to heavy to carry to a working socket. Now the good points. Well.. The front desk girl was really nice and almost apologetic. The ac blows cold and cools the room in about 2 hours. It was the cheapest hotel in Guam and ok for my 12 hr layover. In other words if you are married its ok if you're trying to impress Someone you'll be checking out alone.

No air conditioning. There was a roach in the bathroom. Staff was nice at least. Close to some bars. Nothing special.
