"No matter how much people seem to know about the giant Alaska -grown vegetables they hear about on the national news, they’re always surprised that—surprise!—Alaska has farms, and those farms grow loads of different things. Here’s some proof: The tables at the Tanana Valley Farmers Market overflow with goodness grown under the midnight sun. All those hours of sunlight make it possible for farmers to turn over more crops per summer than a cranky French maître d’ turns over tables at a busy bistro. But even if you’re not up for just chomping down on sweet, sweet Alaska-grown carrots for lunch—and seriously, you should consider doing just that—there are plenty of other food vendors at the market. Crafty fun stuff, too. Your souvenir shopping? Done!"

Great little farmer's market! Wednesday's and Saturday's, don't miss it. If you're traveling through our around Fairbanks it's a must stop option. Lots of crafts and plenty of food options. Fun place for a family outing option. The pictures don't do it justice. There's a little bit of something for everyone. You gotta try the kettle corn; it's the bomb!

Tons of stuff to buy for any occasion! Great food too! Everything from plants to soaps to blacksmith made products. Always a great and interesting place to go!

This year it feels like the vendors are just phoning it in and the prices are hugely inflated. One small blueberry cream cheese tart is $25 last year I seem to remember it being $15. They do have more food vendors this year but as a parent of two toddlers it would have been nice if any of them were kids friendly but sadly the only thing for kids seemed to be the freeze dried candy however, talk about expensive like $16 for a bag with like 20 skittles in it. Think I will just go to Walmart and by the actual skittles brand that sells freeze dried version now also.

This is a hidden gem in Fairbanks. Open on Wednesdays and Saturdays, plan some time to go here. The vendors have an excellent selection. Everything is handmade/homemade. At first glance it may not look like much, but it's one of the best Farmers Markets I've ever been to from across the nation.

I've lived in metro areas of the Lower 48, and now reside in Fairbanks. This market tops all the ones I've been to stateside. So many unique, local-made treasures. My favorite part of summer in the Interior.

This is the place to be and be seen:-). Great people watching with down home folks and their goods. interesting booths that included fungi, and other local grown and hand made goods. Foods of many nationalities.

I enjoyed strolling around the market to buy some fresh produce, honey, mushrooms, .. arts and crafts. The aroma from international food vendors made me so hungry. There are shady and picnic areas.

Yelp
"The Cats Meow" booth has the most incredibly stunning, handcrafted earrings and jewelry I have ever seen. I was blown away by the artistry! I left with a one-of-a-kind pair I will be wearing all summer... I'm so glad I stopped by the market! (The live jazz was entrancing as well.) 10/10!!!

Yelp
Absolutely loved this farmers market! If your looking for gifts this is a great place to get homemade items! Alaskan jams made in Alaska with all natural ingredients! There were a lot of craft venders and food venders! I would recommend eating at El Sabor Authentic Mexican. I ordered the Baja shrimp tacos! They were delicious!!! $11 for two tacos which had large tiger shrimp on them! We also ordered the Baja fish tacos! So good! Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
A fun place to stop by, relax and stroll around when you're in Fairbanks. There's the typical farmer's market stuff- things like vegetables and freshly baked bread as well as Alaska-made food and crafts, like jewelry, candles and pottery. I saw "Moostard" mustards that looked good and Alaska herbs and herbed vinegars. I bought some soaps for mom and some spiced Ketchup and Raspberry Barbeque Sauce for dad. There was also a lot of good food. The falafels we ate weren't technically AT the market, they were nearby down the road, but they were delicious. I'd recommend the market for gifts, browsing and a quick bite to eat. 2009 Season Opening Day 5/09/09 9am-4pm Saturdays 11am-4pm Wednesdays

Yelp
Tanana Valley Farmers Market Fairbanks, Alaska This farmers market is small but worth a walk through. There were about 100 booths with arts, crafts and food available for purchase on the day I attended. There were fresh vegetables as well as fried food with a sitting area to eat at. There wasn't live music but that's not a deal breaker. You can take the Red or Blue line city buses to get there if you do not have transportation of your own. If you're use to large farmers markets you may be disappointed however if you remind yourself that this is Fairbanks, Alaska where there are minimal events to attend then this could be a fun way to spend a couple hours in the summer. Admission is free and you can't beat that price!

Yelp
So many good vendors, pottery, kombucha, Thai, Cuban, Greek cuisine and plenty of smoothies and baked goods. There was also a talented gentleman playing guitar singing everything from Cats in the cradle to Outkast and Marvin Gaye. Lovely little farmers market, open Wednesday and Saturday only from 11-4pm so get there and get it before it's gone! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Fresh veggies is always a must. I absolutely love the stand with the whole family that bargains their veggies. There carrots are like crack, no ranch necessary and I love ranch. I love the fried rice from the two oriental ladies. I can absolutely do without the El Sabor, we got all hyped up for absolutely nothing, zero costumer service, rude and she basically yelled in our face for the line. If I could get our money back for wasting it in them that'd be great. Their tacos weren't even good. Tortillas were soggy and cold. My boyfriend asked what is it missing.. flavor lol. Overall minus the El Sabor it was absolutely great. I love coming to the Farmer's Market. I'm sad the season is almost over.

Yelp
Get the rockfish tacos at El Sabor taco stand!! Soooooo good! They also have yummy shrimp and carne asada tacos. And their tamales are also pretty bomb!

Yelp
We love the market but the staff stinks. We brought our service animal and we were given so much trouble. They are legally supposed to allow me to be there with him and not question me. We were having such a good time visiting some family that has stands at the market and they treated us badly.

Yelp
Great place with a few different vendors depending on what day you go. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables to buy as well as amazing meals from local restaurants.

Yelp
variety :) $10 15 minute massages, a lady who makes catnip treats and coffee sleeves, kettle corn, and a few gluten free options. there is a guy that sells marshmallows, and a booth that sells hand made headbands. wednesdays have less product but not by much. saturdays have more of an entertainment feel ( musicians playing around the parameter). some of the booths take credit but there is an atm on site too.

Yelp
Great market! Just visiting Fairbanks overnight and stopped here for lunch. Lots of great choices. I was able to get some Alaska souvenirs here too. We ate steamed buns, reindeer sausage sandwiches and kettle corn.
