Lots of vendors (food and non-food), rides, political booths, product sales booths, etc. There are several areas with items people have brought for judging. Live acts and music at a couple of pavilions. Food is pretty pricey. It's really packed with people today since the sun is out and people are enjoying themselves. If handicapped, there is motorized cart rental, by the hour. It's a great place to see people you haven't seen in a while. Contests, music, booths, exhibits and more--if you can go, go. Amazing place to visit right after the Ice Sculpting World Championship and spend the day, long walk in the wood where all the sculptures are, the warm up room is very authentic, don't expect modern facilities here, you may want to pack your own food, snacks, Hot Dog and Chili are available, but the sleigh for free is great for adults and kids! the out door Game Room is a blast! Going at night is cool too with the light through the ice...

As a worker of a one midway at the state fair, I can honestly say that most of the people were generally nice and polite, and it brought me great joy to see the children smile and have a good time. I look forward again next year. Period

Ice carving festival 2019. Thank you Niki for taking mom around in the snow cat so she could see the sculptures. We got the Ice Princess Ttreatment. So nice. The warming tent was fun, warm, good gifts, nice food. I came back at night for a quick peek with the lights. I LOVED the slides, maze, and spinning cups for kids. More!

BEWARE : Unfair and arrogant treatment from an employee. (It gets BAD) A ride operator who I will describe as a relatively chubby man who is a ginger was operating the ride, “the Kraken” on Sunday august 3rd 2025. The line was long and it was around closing time so the man said he was going to do three more rides. Me, my friends and some other people behind us calculated that there was enough room all of us to get on the third ride. Here comes the bad part.(it gets worst by the way) There were numerous people cutting the line and we (as in everyone mentioned in the calculating part) noticed and called them out but the ride operator tells us that he can’t do anything about it (mind you this was during the loading where he could easily kick these cutters off.) and he was letting people skip from the back to the front of this line (most notably a man in a white shirt, sunglasses and grey pants just hops VERY obviously in the front and GETS ON.) but me and my friends counted and realized we had enough to get on this ride (first in line too) we were so happy and the people were too but after the operator has the ride going he has the audacity to tell us all NO MORE RIDES even though we only counted 2 rides. And he said “come back tomorrow” and we were all mad cause it was the last day, while his response is “your tickets are valid next year!” What about us with wrist bands? And then we all call out the cutters and he goes about the “I can’t do anything” and then we all leave because the ride was going to be shut down THE WORST PART IS HERE Around maybe 10-20 minutes later, me and my friends are sitting near the entrance of the fair and one of my friends are watching the kraken, then they start going crazy and tell us that the guy let the ride go on again after closing time too(this breaks rules of no more rides. He cut us off too? Just to let on people later?) I really hope something will be done about this employee, I do not look forward to coming back and seeing his face.

They had lots of food and drinks kiosks. A nice "marketplace". Well organized, entrance people were very nice and welcoming. All the activities are at extra fee. The mini zoo was a nice experience, the people working there were very nice and informative. I think some of the machines should be upgraded or given better maintenance. For example, we ride an "apple machine" (I can't remember the name), and it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. The inside walls, the entire thing. The caterpillar ride was too noisy, plus it felt like it was about to be broken. I didn't feel safe in it.

This is an amazing fair and everyone near Fairbanks should make a point to go every year. Nowhere else do you get the collection of local businesses as you do here. Come and support them and support your neighbors!

First fair in Alaska! It was great! Good food, lots to see and do. Although I don't ride the rides, they looked good and there were people in line at every one of them! It started to rain but that didn't deter the people.
