The food:
We got the mushroom risotto and the artichoke cream soup. They also gave us complimentary bread and butter and a apple mousse dessert in a small shot glass. A lovely gesture. The risotto was delectable, I would certainly order that again. The artichoke cream soup was also pretty tasty. The food gets 5 stars.
The menu was very limited on vegetarian options but what I had was quite delicious.
The experience:
We primarily went to have a lunch with good window views of Prague. That's what the restaurant is known for, right? What we did not appreciate was that upon entering the restaurant in the afternoon the waiter guided us to a table in a nook section with obstructed window-views. We requested to switch to a table with better view on the main floor which was 75% empty. He said no, and he was very strict and firm about it. We insisted that the the restaurant was empty (I suppose it gets more busy at dinner time), and he stood firm that the area was closed (out of maybe 10 tables, 1 table was occupied with customers, so why was it closed to us?). We told him that this restaurant specializes in having good views and we didn't understand what the big deal was, but he simply insisted that the table he was offering us was just as good. Finally we sat down where he wanted, then asked a different waiter, who allowed us to move without a problem, and subsequently provided good service.
We didn't go there to create a fuss, but lets get real, the restaurant's main attraction is dinner with good views of Prague.
The food gets 5 stars, too bad the overall rating has to be brought down due to a petty seating power struggle.
