They got a good selection of kebabs, including chicken, beef, lamb, and liver. Food seems authentic but nothing too special. They also make baklava. Unfortunately, the lady at the counter did not speak English, so I couldn't effectively communicate with her.

An Uzbek friend recommended we try this place, so we made the trip out to Kensington. I can say without exaggerating that this place has the best Lula kebab I've had in the city. It's out of this world. It's a family run operation and they don't have a menu, but you can point to whatever you'd like in their display case. Everything we tried was excellent, and the prices can't be beat for the quality of food you are getting. Worth a trip if you're coming from other parts of the city.

Just delicious! I’ve had here the most delicious dumpling soup in entire New York. And waiter guy also was so polite and informative. Thank you

Every Uzbek should visit this place. Awesome and Halal Kebabs with vinegar onions were served by Shahzod, he cooked them so well, very juicy and super soft to chew. Cold ayran was the cherry on top of it! Definitely will be coming back next time I visit New York.

I ate 6 pieces baby lamb chops and they charged me 30$ it is like a joke. With the meat they don't even serve anything nor even bread. When I asked for breas they charged me 2$ for a weird looking not fresh bread. And just some white unions were added as side which is another joke. I would never go there again ever

Yelp
I stopped by this Uzbekistani gem the other night, craving meat and kebab. Photos of the pilaf looked very promising and I absolutely had to try that dish, I also ordered a lamb kebab skewer and took a samsa to go. This seems like an authentic place, the staff barely spoke English, but I was able to get my order across. The interior is very nice and they have very very clean and beautiful seating area where you can enjoy your meal. The kebabs are displayed in the freezer and you can pick which one you want. I absolutely love the pilaf. It was rich and topped with fried carrots, and came with the side of beef, which was braised and falling off the bone, and so tender and soft. The rice was super flavorful, and all the flavors worked really well together. My only complaint if there is any is that it was a little bit on the greasy side but I very much enjoyed this dish. I had high hopes for the lamb kebab, and it was very very good and cooked extremely well with the fat properly rendered, and I loved the side of vinegar and dill onions that it came with. However, I did feel that it could've been a little bit more tender as there was a little bit of a chew to it when I was eating it. I also think a little bit more salt and spice would go a long way on the lamb kebab. I had the samsa the next day, and it was absolutely delicious, the filling is full of a succulent spiced lamb and onion mix, and the runny delicious tomato sauce that they gave pairs so perfectly with it. I highly recommend getting this little pocket of joy if you are stopping by here. I think this is a great restaurant with amazing food and I cannot wait to return to have a plate of that pilaf again. Definitely come check them out.

Yelp
I was meeting people for dinner at Cervo's, but I went a little early into the city because I had to buy a few things. Fortunately, by 1:00 PM I was done with the shopping. I still had almost 7 hours to kill before dinner. It is at this instant that I remembered about this legendary Uzbek Restaurant on Ditmas Ave Brooklyn where the Plov is made fresh every day, but by 1:30/2:00 PM it is all gone. So I dashed to Tandir Kabab, hoping that I would get lucky. Sadly, Plov was all sold out. What can one say about this place except that it makes fresh Plov every day, and by 1:30 PM it is all gone. I was disappointed but then I saw the assortment of freshly prepared raw meat ready for BBQ. This was not the day for BBQ, I was going to meet people for dinner, but on seeing the charcoal fire, and the assortment of meat, I sat down, ordered a bowl of Lagman Soup, "some" skewers of meat, and green tea. Someday, I will make it for the Plov, but today I did not care. I had the best Lagman (fresh hand pulled noodles, fresh vegetables, amazing flavors) Soup since pre Covid days. The grilled meats was excellent. This place has a lot to offer. I would not be surprised if someone told me that everything is sold off before dinner time.

Yelp
Let the pictures speak for itself, extremely unprofessional, no one speaks English over there besides saying "my brother, my brother, best in Brooklyn my brother" I called the restaurant and they wanted me to come back with the product to prove that it's foul which I thought is ridiculous. I'm a tourist, I'm not walking or driving in this crazy city to go prove to you that your food is garbage. I'm calling the health department. Refuse to give a refund because "I work here, brother that's why I tell you"

Yelp
The food was not outstanding. Terribly overpriced. I had a dish and salad and it came out to $30. Also the man making my food was not wearing gloves picked up his phone numerous times. Don't spend your time or money at this poor establishment, go to Taci's Beyti on Coney Island Ave.

Yelp
This is an interesting place.....and if you just drop in there randomly your probably gonna walk out confused and unhappy....but if you know when to go and what to get you will discover and incredible gem unlike nothing you have ever experienced before. Right behind the counter sit two big clay ovens called Kazans. One of the Kazans is used for cooking plov (rice, carrots, beef slow cooked over 2 hours with spices and stirred up and served by an expert plov chef). Plov is a dish unique to Uzbekistan and you will NEVER find it any place else. Since discovering plov I have searched high and far to try it at different restaurants. This guy makes it the best......officially. The other Kazan is used to make a meat pastry called samsa. Samsa is seasoned beef inside of a firm chewy pastry. Like Plov it is signature to Uzbekistan. Both of these things are to die for......heres the problem.....They are both very often not available. The place is flooded with Uzbek people so if you want to get both these things you have to get there from 1145 to no later than 130 or 2. If you go any later than 2 the guys behind the counter will tell you "finished" with no explanation lol.

Yelp
Unlike the first reviewer who didn't bother going into Tandir to order something , I actually did. They do have an extensive menu. I ordered the Plov , samsa, salad with feta cheese and grill item. The two grill items were very good. I ordered the chicken wing and lamb rib skewers. Pretty good. I would def. go back and order other items. They make everything fresh and the samsa usually sells out.

Yelp
My issue was that the pilaf is made fresh 11am in the morning and used through out the day. As a 24 hour establishment there should be standards. No doubt if someone comes in the evening time to eat pilaf, it would taste Hard and dry and I had the same experience. People are expecting that perhaps the food is made fresh. For a small plate that cost $12 and the rice is hard and the meat is dry is disappointing. Best time from I heard is 11am. Simply put. I feel this review is only regarding the pilaf. Don't order pilaf at night! I hope this review helps.

Yelp
Food is not consistent. Ordered Uzbek Palov and Rice was hard and meat was old and dry. We sent it back and they still charged us. Very disappointed. Terrible experience.

Yelp
Dear friends, i don't recommend you to go to Tandir kebab, what didn't I like there? First: they were insulting me and treating me very badly, 2: The place is really dirty, really unsanitary condition. Just save your stomach and don't go there, they don't even speak english or accept credit cards.
