On the Grid : Tangerine

"If you’re looking for yoga a little hotter than average, check out Tangerine. Right next to the Hoyt-Schermerhorn G and A,C stop, their 95-degree studio is conveniently located for both local residents and commuters. Classes focussing on Vinyasa flows range from 60 to 75 minutes, and after you’re done they have refreshing lavender towels and an assortment of fresh delicious juices. Patrons who are keen to try something more than just yoga are offered a raft of events and workshops including surf, meditation and barre. Oh and they also have two furry mascot pups to greet you on your visit - Charlie and Ella." - This Also

Tangerine is an incredible high-concept store nestled in a quiet neighborhood. The staff was warm and welcoming, and every detail—from the materials and lighting to the carefully curated products—felt intentional and calming. Would highly recommend stopping in if you are in the area.

very strong buys. quirky, unique, and well-priced. service is hands-off but friendly. i personally appreciate being able to explore independently, but i'm sure assistance would happily be given if a customer was looking for it.

Love this store. Picked up a couple Nu Swim shorts, their ceramic selection is also great. 🍊

Yelp
The store is really charming, and it's clear that a lot of thought (and investment) went into the design and overall feel. But I was honestly disappointed by the customer service. I said hello when I walked in, but neither person acknowledged me until I spoke first. One staff member was actively working and did help me when I asked, which I appreciated. The other stayed behind the counter on her phone and didn't engage at all unless directly spoken to. It just struck me that if I were the owner and saw customers being ignored like that--especially in a space that clearly took time and money to build--I'd be pretty upset. I did end up buying something I'd seen on a previous visit, but only because I genuinely liked the item, not because I felt particularly welcomed or helped.
