Canada's Icefields Parkway Is One of the World's Most Scenic

"A roadside ice-climbing spot set right off the parkway about 85 miles north of the hamlet of Lake Louise; the climbing here is considered easy and accessible even for beginners. Unless you are extremely experienced and have all your own gear, you’ll want to book a guide — 'We recommend Alpine Air Adventures.' The falls are described as an 'ice-climbing haven' and are one of the easily reachable examples of the region's abundant ice-climbing routes." - Evie Carrick Evie Carrick Evie Carrick is a writer and editor who’s lived in five countries and visited well over 50. Beautiful roadside stop! Tangle Creek Falls is easy to access and totally worth it. The waterfall is stunning, and you can get right up close with just a little hike. Great spot for quick photos and a break on the Icefields Parkway. Surely a hidden jem as not many people stop at this falls but trust me you will love it

A lovely quick stop on the way to the Skywalk! This picturesque waterfall is easily accessible right off the road and makes for a great photo op. While not massive, the falls are stunning and worth a brief visit to enjoy the soothing sound of the water. There's also a hike to Wilcox Pass nearby. Be cautious when crossing the pedestrian lines on Highway 93 to reach the falls.

5 because you can park across the road and see it so easily. Beautiful in spring when it's flowing, summer when it's trickling, or winter when it's frozen. If you feel more adventurous and want to stretch your legs, walk up to the upper part. Washrooms at the parking lot too.

How can you not give this place 5 stars? You literally step out of your car and BAM—waterfall in your face. No hiking, no sweating, no "are we there yet?" Just pure, majestic nature doing its thing right off the highway like it’s trying to win a beauty pageant for roadside attractions. Pulled over to stretch my legs and ended up having a full-blown photo shoot with this multi-tiered waterfall. It’s like Mother Nature knew road trippers needed a scenic slap in the face to stay awake. If you’re the kind of adventurer who likes your views high-effort-free, this one's your spirit stop.

Very nice roadside waterfalls, you park and cross the road through a crosswalk or stay in the parking and enjoy the view. We were there June 28th , still water is coming nicely from it . It’s part of the amazing Icefields Parkway easy stops and free attractions .

A nice little stop before heading to the Skywalk. It’s right off the road, so it’s an easy detour. The waterfall isn’t huge, but it’s really pretty and worth a quick visit. Great spot for a photo or just to enjoy the sound of the water for a bit.

Beautiful cascading falls easily visible from the road. As you are driving the Icefields Parkway pull into the parking lot and enjoy these falls.
