9 Best Hawker Centers in Singapore—and What to Eat There - AFAR
"Hand-rolled, flash-fried curry puffs generously filled with curried chicken, egg, and potato in a crisp, light pastry—popular as a snack while waiting for mains and routinely worth the queue." - Charlene Fang
Enjoyed their Crispy curry puffs. Few different favour to choose from. They are open early for business. Friendly lady manning the stalls along with her family. Located within Hong Lim food hawker centre. We will usually takeaway as the kids enjoyed the Crispy puffs.

Have always patronized this stall, however, yesterday bought 10pcs and was greatly disappointed because their standard had dropped. The pastry is no longer crispy and flaky. The curry potatoes stuffing is not flavorful and tasty like before. Not sure if it is still the same person cooking it.. but definitely a great disappointment. Will look for better ones elsewhere.

Tried both Tanglin curry puff and really like this better due to its pastry type of puff. Very crispy and thin..BUT I love the filling from the other Tangling store as it's more delicious.
If only these 2 stores can combine their curry puff, it would be awesome

Crispy, flaky & full of flavour! The chicken potato curry puff was juicy & aromatic, with a perfectly light, crunchy crust. You can tell it’s handmade & freshly fried. Great variety too - look out for the colored dots to tell the flavours apart. A real taste of old-school Singapore.

My favourite curry puff stall. There is another stall to its left at the corner called “Tanglin Crispy Curry Puff Original” since 1952. Both display the red Michelin sign. Both since 1952. I have compared both and personally I find this curry puff better than the other which had a drier pastry and less chicken in the filling .. at least the ones I bought that day. I usually buy 6 puffs.

Saw the new Black pepper chicken mushroom puff & rare that yam is available, so I bought a box of assorted flavours! Chicken curry puff was still the best (coz I’m biased towards potato), & yam was aptly sweet. Kind gesture by the auntie to mark the colour codes on the box for me. 🙏

Tried their chicken potato curry puff. It was served piping hot, with a thin, crispy crust that added a satisfying crunch. The filling was generous, and the potatoes were soft, moist, and well-seasoned.

Went near closing time, no queue. Only chicken curry puffs left.
Puffs were fantastic; this stall is much less oily than most other crispy layered-style curry puffs I have frequented and enjoyed in the past (A1, J2, Wang Wang), while still being very crispy after a takeaway journey home. How do they do it?
