Tanks Pub and Grill

This place looks bad on the outside but it’s nice inside. The only warning I’ll throw out there is people smoke cigarettes inside. If that bothers you, go to the room next to the bar and it’s not bad. They have a very nice dark board and lots of pool tables. The food is excellent and very cheap. Great dive bar maybe the best in the area.

Mary was the bartender for me tonight & she was AMAZING! She tended to all those here in a timely and professional manner and never missed a beat. Tonight is her last night, so it seems this will be a lose no one wants! Good luck, Mary, on your future endeavors and great job on the awesome service provided!!!

This bar is fantastic! The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a night out with friends or a date. The drink selection is impressive, with a wide variety of cocktails, beers, and wines to choose from. The bartenders are skilled and friendly with Marciana being my ABSOLUTE favorite 💕always ready to recommend a great drink. The music is on point, and the decor is stylish yet comfortable. Overall, a great place to unwind and have a good time. Highly recommend!

I love hanging out at Tanks they’ve got great customer service! The bartenders are nice and are to you in a timely manner as well as the food is great! Can’t wait to go back!

Great hang out spot. Bartenders and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Food is great especially the catfish. Great place to sit back relax and watch some football, talk with friends, or listen to music. Karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays, 3 pool tables, dart board, and shuffleboard. Always something to do!!!

Great food!! Cold beer, strong drinks. This place is hiding in plain sight, I drove by so many times and never noticed. They have awesome specials every day and the regulars and staff are so nice. It has become my own "Cheers" everyone knows my name and I feel very welcome there. Stop in and enjoy!!!

Definitely my favorite place to relax! Excellent selectionat the bar, super chill atmosphere, the food is amazing and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I make it a point to come out at least once a week,

Smelled great inside but the cook left just before 7:30pm and refused to take any further orders. There were a few pool tables, full bar and computer gaming kiosks available. A potential gem of a hole in the wall bar and grill but show up ready for drinks and not eats to avoid the disappointment.

Just moved to Killeen and googled dive bars, this place popped up, went in, greeted with great hospitality, the Asian girl bartender on Friday was smoking hot, catfish sandwich is amazing, love the burger sliders, this place has my Guinness beer on tap ( hardly no bars does), what can I say, I love this place, and it's hard to find a bar where I would go everyday for 3 days straight... btw, I read the Google reviews and the owner replies to almost everyone, that proves that they care about their customers. Did I mention, the Asian bartender was beautiful.

Great place to stop and have a drink. Plenty of sports on the TV... great service and they sell food as well. Pool tables and a shuffle board table to have fun with. I'll from out of town and found this place to have a few drinks after work.

I have come to this place a couple of times and it was decent. But I have to warn you of the bartender. She dyes her hair lavender or blue. She is Asian. She will ask you to start a tab and she will steal money from your card. I didn't want to start at tab at first because I wanted to pay cash. She asked me three times to start a tab. I decided I will give her my card. At the end of the night I paid cash. When I checked my app the following day, she had charged my card several times knowing I paid cash. BE CAREFUL folks with this bartender. She is a thief.

This place is a great place to get an ice cold beer. It's even a better place when Nessa and Jerome are working. I travel a lot for work and not from Killeen but those two made me feel like I was home. When I am back in the area, will definitely be back. So if you are looking for a cold beer and very friendly and knowledgeable bartenders, give Tanks a try!

The waitresses are amazing and knows how to make amazing drinks. Best pool tables in town. Down to earth people. Would not recommend any other pub in town.

I think this is the best bar in Killeen Awsome bartenders great food if you go get the homemade fried pickles good laughs great time recommend 100% Marci and Jenny make great drinks and never leave me with a empty glass.

Very laid back bar with a a large crowd of regulars that frequent the place. I have only been to this place on weekend nights and it usually has about a dozen or so people enjoying some music and drinks. There were two bartenders working when I was there and one waitress. I sat at the bar and the bartenders constantly busted their asses to fulfill simple drink orders and the occasional out of nowhere mixed drink request. They offer a simple drink food menu which I haven't tried yet, have three small tvs above the bar, and enough tables to hold a much larger crowd than I have seen there. Only reason I am dropping a star is because I am a nonsmoker and when I left I smelled like an ashtray. Not fair because that is most bars in Texas but it is what it is. Overall this is a great place to come with a small group of people to just chill and drink, or even by yourself as the regulars are pretty friendly.

Nice little corner Pub. Friend of a friend had a Sunday afternoon spin called Recovery. It was lovely. Unfortunately, the next time we went, the place was closed. Not sure if it is permanent or just an oddity. If the place is open again, it is worth a visit. Nice prices, cordial staff.

I don't mind the older crowd, it was a nice place to kick back a few with some friends and shoot some pool. I even taught one of the bartenders a new shot called alien brain hemorrhage, looks very strange, but tasted really good!

If you are in the mood for a laid-back dive bar with myriad of different patrons, Tanks is your place! Only thing I would change would be the beer selection...though that is the same complaint I have with 99% of the bars in Killeen. That being said, if you just want to have a few Lonestars and play shuffle board/pool, this is a perfect place.

Best Bar in town, amazing atmosphere and spot on, friendly bartenders. Great food, great Karaoke, and a place to just hang out. If you've liked the show "Cheers" this is as close as it will get in Texas.

Okay place, very old crowd goes here. I just wonder why with so many good brewerys in Austin, all the bars in Killeen sell crap beer. This one is the same, best beer they have is Lonestar. :-\

Fun fun fun!!! Some friends took me and my husband up there for a night out and it was a blast!

I liked it here. I came here for a night cap with an old friend for my birthday last night. It's not a big place, but you can tell that it's a place where regulars like to frequent. They welcome the new kids tho with open arms. The bartenders were really nice. They made sure our glasses were full until we cut ourselves off. I was concerned about driving on base afterward. I had forgotten to buy a pack of gum before I left work and I asked the bartender if they had a pack I could buy and they went and got me a piece from their own personal stash. For that, I was very thankful. I'd go here again for sure. :) maybe next time I won't be having an allergy attack and I'll get to sing some karaoke.

The food is very delicious and the staff is nice. But if you call in to ask a question, you may get a different experience. I just called to ask if they were showing the Pacquiao vs. Broner fight. Whoever the chic was that answered the phone, gave me a quick "NO" and hung up in my face. Not good people customer skills at all.

So glad they moved to veterans memorial. Much more space and everyone is chill and laid back
