Tanoa Rakiraki Hotel

Pros Clean hotel, food not to bad , beautiful gardens. Cons Hard bed make back ache Uncovered window over door which let's outside hallway light in . So if you like a dark room it will annoy the hell out of you. Way to far out of town so will need a car to get anywhere. Pool table impossible to play on, broken sticks bad balls and table off balance. One of the reason we picked this place was so we could have a game of pool so very disappointing. Pool clean but small. I wouldn't suggest this hotel for tourists you'll be bored shitless. Hotel staff said they would ring and book express bus for us back to Tavua but never did so we had to call Taxi. Breakfast Just egg TOAST and cereal with fruit. Nothing flash. Cleaning staff to noisy calling out to each early other early in the morning. Would I stay here again or recommend this place.. NO WAY!!

Very disappointing. Staff were lovely but not efficient. Initially had issues with power to our room. That got sorted. In-room safe didn't lock. Someone was supposed to look at it but didn't turn up. Went to collect 2x pool towels from reception. Only 1 available. The 2nd one never turned up as promised. Having a glass of wine while waiting for our meals. Waitress decided to vacumn about 3 mtrs from our table. Not appropriate and vacuum very smelly. Curried vegetables was just cabbage. Curry fish was nice. Wouldn't recommend or go back. A pity as we have been to other Tanoa hotels and had a really good experience.

Although it is close to the highway, the rooms are tucked away towards the back, allowing for privacy. The staff are usually well mannered and genuine in their interactions. Their restaurant has tasty meals and they do have an in house cafe with reasonably good coffee. The pool is a tad too cosy but never too crowded. We keep coming back because it is well priced, and had a good simple breakfast, wifi, a clean room, and ample parking. Would recommend. Would be returning.

Stop over for the night at Tanoa Rakiraki last year. ||Bula smiles on arrival from the reception's helpful and friendly staff.|The room was spacious and cleaned, and there was good aircon in the rooms as well as with Rakiraki being one of the hottest parts of Vitilevu . Kudos to the cleaners for the hard work. |Lost of parking available within the property and with very good security on site.|Dinner and breakfast were exceptional thanks to the hardworking chefs and the bar staff.|Overall, in my opinion,( each to their own) 5 star rating to the staff of Tanoa Rakiraki for an exeptional service & and genuine friendly demure and Bula Smile,highly recommend if your travelling to Rakiraki.||Will be visiting again shortly.

Rooms are clean, but have lots of bed bugs, we had to change rooms, but seems like all the rooms are infested with bed bugs. Breakfast is good, service could be better.

Lovely place. We stopped over for lunch. The pizza was delicious, and so was the sizzling lamb in pepper.

The Food and drinks are great, Reasonably priced for a hotel. I had their chili garlic prawn and veggie stir fry dishes, Bloody brilliant! Overall experience was lovely as always, location is a plus. Wish they were located near to the ocean, as Rakiraki has some great sea views. Highly recommended.

The hotel was awesome but the restaurant really left a lot to be desired. I showed up at 1:00 on a Saturday afternoon and off the menu that says All Day Menu at the top of it I ordered an omelette. The waitress made a big deal about that and asked what I wanted on it and I said what do you have? She said we have bacon and other stuff and I said okay. Bacon sounds good. I told her that I am not picky but that i was hungry. An hour later I asked her about my omelette as I had ridden my bicycle there and was very hungry. I found out she had not even told the cook to start my omelette and I told her I had picked that because I thought it would be quick and easy for them. So I guess that "All Day Menu" means that it takes all day to get your food. So I just got up and went into RakiRaki town and got food there and it was much better.
