1-Star Review for Tanoa Skylodge Hotel, Nadi, Fiji My recent stay at Tanoa Skylodge Hotel in Nadi, Fiji was an absolute nightmare. What we experienced was nothing short of deceptive marketing and false advertising. The pictures displayed online are completely misleading, and the reality is far worse. Room Conditions: Upon arrival, the air conditioning was not working. When we asked for assistance, we were informed that they only had one master remote to reset it, and we had to wait until the technician returned to work. After hours of discomfort, we were offered a different room, which they claimed was an “upgrade.” Shockingly, the new room was in even worse condition: the toilet was smaller and filthy, the showerhead was broken, and the AC unit had a room key card jammed into it just to make it function – which, of course, did not work properly. Horrible Hygiene: The bathroom was disgusting. The shower cubicles were covered in mold, a clear sign that regular cleaning is not part of their routine. The toilet bowl was stained and dirty, something that could easily be managed with daily proper cleaning. The area under the sink was exposed, revealing filthy, rusted pipes. The room itself smelled musty, and the tiles were grimy. Unacceptable Bed Conditions: The beds were in appalling condition. The mattress was torn with holes, exposing the inner foam. The bed base was damaged, with ripped fabric and visible stains. It was uncomfortable, unsanitary, and definitely not what you’d expect from a so-called 3.5-star hotel. Facilities and Amenities: The door wouldn’t close properly; we had to force it shut, and the safety latch inside didn’t even align with the hole where it was supposed to lock. They provided only two towels, and if you needed more, you had to wait until they were washed and dried, which was beyond inconvenient. The breakfast was pathetic, offering almost nothing of value. Poor Management: This hotel’s condition clearly reflects extremely poor management. Basic hygiene and maintenance are severely lacking. Mold in the bathroom, unclean toilets, broken fixtures, and poorly maintained facilities are unacceptable. A little effort in regular cleaning, customer service, and maintenance could improve the place significantly, but it seems management doesn’t care. Final Verdict: This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I have stayed in many 3.5-star hotels, and this does not deserve that rating in any way. It is rundown, unhygienic, and managed with complete negligence. DO NOT be deceived by the photos online. I strongly advise against booking this hotel unless you want to ruin your vacation. Rating: ⭐ (1 Star – because zero stars isn’t an option).

Decent place to stay for the price. If you're just looking for a place to sleep this is good for it. Provides great service, good bed, lots of showers, decent pool, great pizza family deal. Self serve laundry service. Very helpful staff.

Upon arriving I was allowed to check in early which was a huge plus. The room was adequate and clean. The daily breakfast was not only tasty but filling. Now the hotel staff is absolutely amazing! They were extremely helpful in every aspect. More specifically Hepi and Makereta. Just a word of suggestion, don't do what I did and assume that the hotel shuttle runs every 20 minutes. You need to schedule a pick up or drop off a day in advance. That being said the hotel management paid for my taxi ride to the airport because I assumed the shuttle would be available. Absolutely great experience.

Originally, I would have rated it about 3 stars but upon discovering the hotel gave me bed bugs, it has completely ruined the entire experience for me. Booking.com also will not respond about this matter. The rooms weren't very clean. The restaurant's food was pretty abhorrent - though that may be because I have different tastes. They also only do one cocktail, despite having images of all of these different ones. Breakfast was pretty dismal, but they were kind enough to not charge me for eggs my way given my allergies. However, most of the staff were fairly surly, (not Divya, she was lovely! There was one another woman who helped us the first night with a pizza, but I don't remember her name) despite constant politeness to try and win them over. The location is fine if you don't mind getting a lot of taxis to take you places, but it adds up and majority will just try and screw you over to get more money. I contacted booking.com about a refund (I even attached a letter from my doctor confirming the bed bugs), because I believe it only fair that I get a refund, cause bed bugs ain't it!

Great place to stay, Simple and quiet. Staff very friendly. Got there on a Saturday and there was a band playing really good music. Good vibes. We chose this place cause of the value and closeness to the airport and shops. Nadi Airport is literally a 7min drive. Would like to thank the lady who found out it was my dads birthday and went out of her way to surprise us by getting the DJ to change the song to Happy bday and got everyone to sing and she gave us a free cake for my dad. Little things like that go a long way.

5/5 - amazing staff and so accommodating! Deborah behind the bar was really helpful and so sincere in her interactions. We had only come for the night but she made sure we were comfortable and happy, even though she was tallying up and closing the bar for the day. She was with another wonderful lady, but I didn’t get her name. As a local, we tend to get ignored at hotels and Tanoa was NOT one of them. Standard, GREAT service throughout!

Very friendly staff! Roti and pumpkin curry for breakfast was the best! A group of us 16 ladies were well accommodated. No issues at all, the pool was nice for an early morning sess and would defo come back. The kitchen staff were very nice so as front desk staff, our 3 night stay was seen off with flowers as Tekiteki and shell garland with the staff singing us the famous Fijian farewell song - Isa isa.... Friendly place to stay!

I would like to thanks the beautiful F&B staff(Tema,Litiana,Kata,Naleeni) for their beautiful services. They make me feel at home for the last couple of days of my training at the Hotel. Their bula smile was excellent and keep up the good works ladies.
