"The gorgeous gardens of Tao Dan Park may look lush and relaxing during the day, but some say the space takes on an entirely different feel at night. That's when, according to urban legend, the ghost of a young man who was killed in an attack still wanders the park, looking for his lost love." - Travel + Leisure Editors

A rather small, clean park with several amusement rides and beautiful flower arrangements. There is a nice playground for kids and some exercise machines near the side entrance. A limited number of benches to sit on. There is a small temple and a statue in the center of the park. Not much else to see and there was a lot of construction going on when I was there in early Feb so most of the park grounds were very unattractive.

A Peaceful Oasis in the Heart of Saigon Tao Dan Park is a breath of fresh air amidst the chaos of Ho Chi Minh City. In a city where traffic is hectic and streets are perpetually crowded, this park offers an invaluable sense of tranquility. With its sprawling green spaces, towering trees, and shaded pathways, it’s the perfect escape from the urban hustle and bustle. I spent countless hours here during my stay, relishing the serenity and natural beauty. What struck me most was the predominance of foreign visitors, particularly Europeans, enjoying the calm atmosphere, while many locals seemed to prefer the lively energy of Saigon’s bustling streets. Whether you’re a jogger, a photography enthusiast, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, Tao Dan Park is an absolute must-visit. A true urban oasis!

Great, well maintained park with lots to offer. This park is very clean and very lively, with people playing various games in the open areas and a lot of spots to have a picnic or play a game. The park also features a temple which has English speaking staff and a very clean and looked after area. There is a lot of different kinds of sculptures and plants in the park so it is worth exploring.

My photos are a little old but the park is a nice place to hang out. Kindergarten students also do activities here, as well as other people. There are many traditional and cultural statues, lakes, fountains, etc.

When we visited just after TET, everything Tet display was being taken down. This made the park look like a shambles. Besides this, there was nothing else to enjoy. One bit of enjoyment was watching to men playing football badminton very professionally. We had never seen this ever before and informed it that it was very popular in Vietnam. Another comolete inconvenience was that there was only one allowed access into the park because there were some form of security guards at all other entrances saying we had to walk completely around the park to gain further access.

Overall a beautiful park to walk around and enjoy not to mention to observe some wildlife and see the beautiful ponds. Only downside is you’ll be approached by many Vietnamese people trying to sell you things, something we don’t really enjoy at all. I don’t think they realise we Europeans actually will purchase more if not put under pressure. But to each their own. Anyway off topic. Do visit if you can it’s worth it. Even on a dull day! :)

Came down on a quaint Sunday morning for a relaxing walk. The lush greenery of the park oozes a sense of tranquility that offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Moreover, seeing locals engaging in activities to pass their time also provided an interesting gateway into the local life.

Has two playgrounds. One that was fenced off across the road. The one that was available will suit aussies looking to give their kids a semblance of playtime in an area otherwise devoid of children's outdoor play environments. Was quite big. You'll like it..do it.
