This pizza was delicious! My hubby and I ordered a slice each, huge! We both loved it! We sat on the patio under full shade with our two labs. Would definitely come back.

Been here multiple times and I always leave with a smile. The outdoor seating area is cozy with cool decor. Their specialty pizzas always hit the spot with the combinations of flavors, and the salads are the perfect complement. Great wine and beer selection too. There’s truly something for everyone.

Came in to Taos for work this week. And growing up coming to Taos I remember I would always want to stop here to get some pizza so today I decided to try it. Probably the worst experience I could probably name coming to Taos. I waited for almost an hour after I ordered my pizza and it was just a simple pizza half pepperoni half cheese. I’m not sure what was going on today, but I had to write it this low because I have high expectations for this place and it failed.

Arrived at Taos pizza Out Back around 4:30 to get their before the dinner crowd. A very friendly server sat us down, got our drinks and order (2 cokes, 1 lg carnivore pizza, 1 pint pesto sauce) in within ten minutes! There were three other tables when we arrived who had not received their food yet and two tables that were on their way out. Near us a couple waited for over an hour and forty minutes to receive their salads. Their pasta came out layer cold and had to be reheated. By 6 pm our server let us know the kitchen had lost our food ticket and would be starting our order then which we understood. She came back out to let us know the new wait would be longer because more people had arrived by then. We asked for an estimated wait time as we live nearly 3 hours away. We did not get an estimated wait time and could not get confirmation that our order was even being made, so we decided to leave. The server was kind and offered to pay for our drink bill herself but we did not want to do that to her, it was her third day on the job. Management did not offer to cover our drink bill, and the cooks told my boyfriend that they just take orders as they come. The woman at the front who we assume was management (as she was not serving tables or cooking) charged us for our two Coke’s without any apology or even acknowledgment. We tipped the server directly for her kindness. We will not be going back sadly. This location was one of my favorites a little over 6 years ago when I lived in Taos.

The pizza is absolutely 5 stars. Friendly service. Had a great time here. Love the outdoor seating for my dog.

Google
The food was mediocre at best. The service was not good and it was about 95 degrees inside the restaurant. I ordered by phone at 7:56 on Saturday night. We ordered 2 large pizzas, garlic bread and a Cesar salad. The person that took my order said it would be ready in about 30 minutes. We showed up just after 8:30 to pick up our dinner. I went to the counter to let them know we had arrived and were ready to pick up. She said it would be a few minutes. I waited for an additional 30 minutes for my food. Then I was surprised at a bill of $103. There were no apologies offered for the delay. Not even an ice cold water while I waited in the extreme heat inside the restaurant. When we finally got home to eat we were hoping that the food would make up for the lack of service and mismanaged expectations. We were again disappointed. The garlic bread was hard as a rock. The Cesar salad was lettuce and Parmesan, no croutons. The dressing was oil with a squeeze of lemon. $103 for dinner and we ended up throwing most of it away. The pizzas were ok. If I had been told when I called in that it would take an hour, I would have been fine with the wait. It would have been nice to know ahead of time what the reality of the situation was. I would not recommend Taos Pizza nor will we be going back. Very disappointed.

Google
Terrible service, the only redeeming thing is the beer list. Takes an insanely long time for salads, pizza, etc. Our pizza was very over baked. One beer was flat. Salads were good, everything else was not that good. 2 stars. Seriously, what is wrong with the staff?? These people are not adept enough to staff this restaurant. INSANE

Yelp
Amazing service, super friendly staff, delicious pizza and of course their famous pesto dressing that I've eaten for over 20 years is still phenomenal.

Yelp
Is there no good pizza in this town?!? Been on an adventure this week trying to figure out the answer to this question. So far the answer is no. We thought the staff at the brewery didn't want to be there...holy moly this staff could not give a f*#^ that anyone was there. Pretty sure one of them was the owner. We were both served flat beer. Maybe there's an issue with the draft system. When we mentioned it there was no fix or care. Food was lukewarm at best by the time it hit our table. I found a Facebook page while sitting here of all the locals trashing all the food in Taos. This place might be the worst place talked about on there. In all my years in the industry I've never seen a more sad state of a town when it comes to pizza. It's one of the cheapest and easiest foods to make and no one is doing it right here. Toss it, sauce it, top it, cook it, eat it. 16 year olds do it better at a Pizza Hut. Good grief.

Yelp
Rarely do I go somewhere and regret eating there. Here it happened. I almost convinced the group to leave before we ordered anything. We wanted to go to a different place but it was closed for Labor Day weekend, so we settled on this place. Got a slice of the white pizza and a small caesar salad. The salad dressing is oil-based, not creamy, which is fine with me but the flavor was...kind of weird? Like it was almost buttery. I couldn't decide if I liked it or not. The pizza was very disappointing. The crust was bland and it was SUPER thick, but not in the good way, like it was very doughy and chewy. Almost like a bagel. I didn't finish it partly because the pieces are huge (I think it was bigger than my face), and partly because I just didn't like it. Not a lot of flavor overall and too heavy for a white pizza. A side note, the table was very sticky. I tried to avoid putting my hands and elbows on it. Not sure if it wasn't cleaned well after the last people or if there's a coating that was put on it. The only positive is that service was pretty quick. Would not go back and don't recommend.

Yelp
Poor customer service!! We didn't even get to order. When we finally asked about getting someone to help us , the waitress was rude. We weren't about to eat at a restaurant where they don't appreciate the customer support.

Yelp
Depressed atmosphere. Unfriendly staff. Terrible service. They seemed annoyed that we even came in. We paid $35 and waited a half hour for an inedible pizza. Horrible. This is my first ever Yelp. That's how bad it was!!

Yelp
Ambiance is nice but that does not make up for the terrible service. My family and I came in at 7:50 pm for pizza and by 8:40 pm the salads still were not out. After asking them where they were they finally came out but now it is 9:20 pm with no pizzas in sight. This is terribly disappointing as I had high hopes for this place.

Yelp
I had a wonderful time here this evening! It's got a relaxed/casual environment. The service was great and the food was delicious! I had the greek salad and southwest pizza. I will definitely be going back again! Also, the music selection that was playing was also fantastic!

Yelp
We stopped in to have lunch at Taos Pizza Outback this week. We went because of the bad review on Facebook, thinking this might be our last chance to experience this place. We really were expecting the worst. But before I get into it, I'm not disputing others experiences here. I know we have had some service issue here, and at many places in Taos, especially since the pandemic. I know many restaurants in Taos have issues finding people to work, and this is contributing to service issues. My intention here is not to delve into the ins and outs of that issue, I'm just stating it's not a problem exclusive to one or two places in Taos, or New Mexico, or anywhere else in this country. Labor in the food service industry is a problem everywhere. Moving on- Our experience this day was exceptional. We were offered to sit wherever we wished as soon as we walked in. No sooner than we picked a table menus were delivered and we requested water while we looked over the drink and food menus. Water was quickly delivered and we ordered a Cabernet and a beer, which also came quickly. At that point we had decided what we wanted, as we are familiar with what we like. We ordered a small Greek salad and a couple of pizza slices. The salad came out quickly and looked beautiful. And it tasted great, just like every Greek salad I have experienced there. The pesto dressing with walnuts is just amazing. They sell it in larger quantities if you want to take some home. Soon the slices arrived and they were loaded up with toppings, which is one thing I love about their pizza, the other being the delicious crust. We were both super happy with our selections. At no time did we ever feel ignored, or had any issue with service. Just after the pizza arrived my wife realized she wanted some pesto dressing and I simply turned toward the cash register where the servers were going over something, and I spoke up "Miss?!" One of them came as I expressed my request and it was promptly delivered. Simply put, service could not have been better this day. Both servers were encountered seemed cordial, and helpful. When we were finished, I asked to speak to a manager and I told the server why- I wanted to compliment their service as well as the kitchens quality work and efficiency. Kim, the owner came to the table in a few moments. We both told her about our positive experience this day and thanked her. We ended up in a somewhat long conversation about various issues she has faced, not the least being bad reviews. I want to stress again we have had service issue here in the past. We have had these same issues at other Taos establishments, as well as other places nationwide. Finding good help appears to be an industry wide issue. And sometimes it's just poor management. We experienced none of this today. I made sure to compliment both servers to their face, as well as the cooks in the kitchen. They all made for a positive experience for us this day. And as always- Your mileage may vary.

Yelp
I'm saddened by the decline in quality of the pizza and service here at Taos Pizza Outback. We decided to try it again thinking Covid was the problem. Not a Covid problem because the place has not improved. It took over an hour for a pizza that was overcooked. All the toppings were burnt. Being over cooked, it made the very tasty crust far too tough. I'm sure I'm not going to return. Very sad because I used to say this was the best in Taos. I can not say that now. Very sad.

Yelp
Please meet Kim, she is the owner of Taos Outback Pizza. I would say she is the proud owner, but it is 100% clear she does not care about the establishment or her employees. I know this first hand because of my experience there today. To put this in perspective, we walked in the door at about 12:00pm and only two other tables were being occupied. We ordered our food at 12:19pm. We received our salads and one of our kids cheese pizzas, but at 1:24pm, I went and asked the lady at the cash register how much longer. That lady was Kim. One would think after waiting that long she would at least apologize and try to make it right, but the truth is, she didn't care and it showed. We asked for our food to go at that point, and even though we confirmed our order was right on the receipt, it wasn't right at all. When asked where the owner was, we were told she was hiding her face in her car. That right there should tell you about how this establishment is ran. Turns out, this dimensioning establishment is up for sale. I would think twice before purchasing, or even visiting, the business she is single handedly running into the ground. Update- based on Kim's reply, this is the only act of caring about the establishment she has shown. Also, this is not about your employees, this is about your lack of helping your employees. THEY are doing the best they can. YOU are not.

Yelp
Dude. This place is fire! Boyfriend and I came in one afternoon while visiting Taos and we were served by Jesse. He was a sweetheart. Our pizza was delicious and the local beers/wines that he recommended were awesome. Food was delicious! Definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Ok look this place is a true treasure trove but in all seriousness the pizza is good service is even better it's just that well ok when you go inside the dishes are anything but clean and well they don't always make the best pizzas there good ngl but still... and with that I give this establishment an 2/10..

Yelp
Wow, this place has become a disaster. I have been coming her for over 30 years as a resident from Questa. Ever since the new owner bought the place it has gone downhill fast. The old great vibe of Taos Pizza Outback has been lost. Tonight we ordered online at 6pm. The app said it would be ready by 6:45pm. When I showed up at 7pm they said it would be another 45 minutes. Then when I came back they said it would be another 25 minutes, then when I came again they said it would be ready in 10 minutes. Finally the pizza was done after 2.5 hours for one pizza. No one apologized or offered any beverages or credits which is the norm when people have to wait this long for food in a restaurant. Another person next me had been waiting for over 3 hours and her kids had fallen asleep in the car waiting for their dinner. The kitchen is a mess and totally disgusting. It looks like it hasn't been deep cleaned in over 20 years. The employees all look like they are on meth, lost teeth, vacant stares and drab clothes. Super unprofessional. I will never eat here again!

Yelp
A Taos institution! Amazing salads and pizza. Oh, and dessert! Every time we visit Taos, we have to eat here. Just like most things in Taos, expect eclectic! My favorite pizza is the Shredder with sausage and a house salad... the basil-parmigiana vinaigrette is out of this world! I'd give 5 stars hands down for the food, but on our recent visit, they forgot about our order that we placed 30 minutes ahead of time as we came from the other side of the gorge. Then once they started preparing our order, they forgot half of it. We ended up waiting for over an hour and the pizza was cold. But, we heated it back up, and it was as delicious as always. And we had one of their delicious brownies while we waited.

Yelp
This place used to be great. We came here tonight expecting to feed our party of nine. Here we sit for 2.5 hours with no pizza. Had to ask for the salad. Doesn't take much to prepare that. Yet, I'm sure it wouldn't have come unless I asked. Not much attention from our waitress either. No refills on water. Felt like a pest after a while. Finally went up to the front and asked my waitress where our food was. She was pretty dismissive and finally came to the table and stated they had a 4 hour wait!!!! Really? We've been sitting here for 2 hours. No mention of a four hour wait when we sat down. Part of the excuse was that they had a lot of takeout orders. OK, I get that but you also need to manage your in house customers. In fact I would think that they would prioritize in house customers. There are other tables that have been here before us with no food. This place is a complete and utter fiasco. I hate to say this, but do not come here. Management, service and organization is pathetic.

J W.

Yelp
Used to be a fun place for good pizza. it now has nothing to offer. extensive list of beers that they had none of, pizza is expensive and nowhere near the same quality. at noon it was completely empty not even an employee at the counter. horrible.
google avatar

Clayton M.

Yelp
Been coming here for 20 years. Very sad what has happened to the quality at this place. Used to be top notch ingredients, and I would tell anyone I met it was the best pizza I had ever had. The pesto dressing was incredible too Pains me to say this, but it's not at all anymore. I wouldn't eat there again after our last experience. The pizza was mediocre at best and you could tell from the sesame seeds being all over the actual pizza instead of the crust that the people making it didn't care. The pesto dressing wasn't good either, and I used to buy jars of it to go. It wasn't an issue of being too busy either. There were 3 tables. I feel like I just found out Santa isn't real I almost never write reviews. I hope this helps Outback to get back to where it used to be, so I can tell everyone how great it is again
google avatar

Laney N.

Yelp
One of our favorite stops when in the Taos area. Unique and yummy pizza in a great laid back outdoor space with picnic tables and umbrellas. I highly recommend the pizza and salads with the best pesto dressing ever! Currently it seems they don't have enough server staff so be prepared to wait a little longer, the kitchen works super hard to get your food out though. You can enjoy local NM beers or wines. Worth the drive to Taos!

Cee M.

Yelp
We have eaten at Pizza Outback for 30+ years. Lately there have been changes, either chef, management, ownership, etc which has led us to never return. The quality of food, size of portions (and I get this) and service is not what it used to be. Even their delicious pesto dressing has suffered. Most recently I used the bathroom and am surprised they pass inspections with the partial wall missing in the bathroom right across from where dishes, condiments, etc are stored. Makes me wonder just how clean is the food
google avatar

Junior B.

Yelp
The plus: The pizzas are grate, the spaghetti is smoky tasting, the wings are perfect. Service was top for how busy they were. And the bad: Ordered 12 wings and asked for two sauces, They charged for 2 totally separate orders $6 differents. When asked I was told owner requires the charge, I said the customer requires to be notified. It looks like management didn't communicate some important points to his/her team to notify customers. $113.00 total for a 14" pie spaghetti one order of wings (2 ) in the owner's eyes. Two glasses tea. So take it as you will. Would I go back? Not before trying the other pie recommended spots.

Josh S.

Yelp
I have been going here since I was a teenager and it was the place to go and hangout. I moved away and wanted to bring my family back to show them the pizza place I used to go to. Long story short we waited for over an hour to get our pizza. We almost walked out because we were so hungry. I even got up and served us our own waters!!! I'm not sure what was going on but the kitchen seems to be overwhelmed. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back to this pizza place.
google avatar

Madeline V.

Yelp
Absolutely disgusting pizza. But more than that, the service here is abysmal. We ordered 1.5 hours before I attempted to pick up the pizza. I had to ask several times if it was ready before I was able to collect it. No one bothered to call out the orders as the pizzas were made, so my pizzas just sat above the oven area getting cold. While I waited I watched the kitchen staff touch the food after it had come out of the oven. Not one employee wore a hairnet or gloves. I saw someone scraping burnt pizza off the pan and serve half of it on a plate. The pizza slice I purchased for my son was so burnt I could probably hurt someone with it. I hate giving bad reviews but this place was really bad.

Espi M.

Yelp
They took forever to bring my order and it wasn't even busy and there was definitely enough workers, an hour in of waiting they finally tell me "there's no more chicken". They only serve locals well or they're just very racist, in my opinion.

Jessica M.

Yelp
Please please just order pizza hut or at best go to little Caesar's!! If I had to choose between little Caesar's and this pizza I would go with little Caesar's that's how horrible this pizza was!!! Horrible!!! Cold and I'm not sure how you can screw up pizza on this level but this definitely takes the award for the worst place to eat at in Taos!!

Alicia I.

Yelp
Great setting. Staff was totally overwhelmed took over an hour to get two slices of pizza that were over cooked.

Cindy N.

Yelp
OMG! What happened? Please find employees who care! I took (2) couples from out-of-state to what WAS my favorite place for salad & pizza in Taos, but were all disappointed! You were NOT busy & the service was ridiculously slow, our orders were wrong & we were over charged! Need to get some mature supervision or we don't see you in business much longer! Sad...

Steve R.

Yelp
Service was painfully slow. If I hadn't already paid for the pizza, I would gotten in my car and left. The waitress was extremely rude too. Wasted my time here.

Barbara S.

Yelp
HORRIBLE! Save you time and money. Pizza is overpriced and undercooked. The restaurant is dirty.. greasy and dingy. Terrible choice eating here.

Cull K.

Yelp
Little sister liked the kid meal she had (Marinara sauce with pasta), mind you she's no critic, but I thought the Diablo pasta was extremely bland and the food had a microwaved texture to it. We had asked for some of the bread that they serve individually, and the waiter brought it out in his bare hands. The environment was that of a bar if that helps at all.
google avatar

Andre R.

Yelp
Have you ever been to a restaurant where you get the feeling that the waitress is bugged to serve you? That's the way it was for us this evening. As soon as we walked in, the blonde waitress displayed very poor customer service and made us feel like we were an inconvenience to her. I've been to places where good food makes up for bad service but I can't even say that. The pizza was horrible. The dough didn't rise and was hard as a rock. Made it seem like it was their first time making pizza dough. Absolutely horrible. For the 4 of us, we paid $84 for two small pizzas and a salad. Way overpriced for the quality they serve. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Yelp
Unfortunately I must write this review so people are aware of the serious mismanagement of Taos Outback Pizza. As a New Mexican who looks forward to coming to Taos and having their pizza, this was a pretty devastating experience tonight. We won't be back and will tell others not to come here based on the lack of accountability from management. I echo the other recent 1 star reviews. We eat at a lot of wonderful restaurants (I do my research!) and rarely write Yelp reviews. I have been coming to this place for 10+ years. We also waited 2.5 hrs for our pizza tonight. We placed the order at 6:15. The order on our phone said it would be ready by 7:10. When we arrived they said it would be 7:40. The order was not ready until 8:50 pm. The owners responses to other Yelp reviewers was that they are "busy" and this may have been true earlier in the evening but this was not the case at 9pm. My dad and husband were the last people left in the restaurant and there were staff leaving to go home while our order was still not ready. They confirmed they were "working on it" and it was not a misplaced order. There was no explanation, no apology, no compensation and my family was too nice to raise as fuss or ask for a refund, as previous customers had done before them. One person waited for 2 hours in the restaurant before demanding a refund. Very sad to be disrespected in this way at a place that holds a lot of good memories. So they did wait and we paid full price. The pizza was just ok. If they are not able to fulfill orders it is the ethical thing to do to be honest and not keep people waiting to 2-3 hours.
google avatar

James G.

Yelp
Our server was great and accommodating. However, the cashier was grumpy and the kitchen was overwhelmed even though there were only three tables being served. It is obvious this restaurant has become complacent. While the pizza is ok, the way they treat their customers is unacceptable.

Heidi H.

Yelp
Is there an option for no stars? Took a trip up to Taos today and came here for dinner. This place was recommended by a close friend who had been there years ago and said it was amazing. Things have declined in recent years, is an understatement. When we walked in we were just stared at by the "hostess." Very little customer service skills. It wasn't busy at all inside, so there was no need to be rude or unhelpful. We waited for everything, menus, drinks, food, even a pizza box. I ordered a beer which arrived flat and tasted off. I tried to order another one I like on the menu, only to be told "no, don't have it." I gave the menu another look and order another beer. I had to wait again for that. Other diners that came in after us were already getting served, while we waited for our overpriced appetizer. Our pizza finally came out after everyone else around received their food. It looked decent, but had no flavor. No condiments or silverware were offered. We were lucky to get plates. No one checked in on us through the whole meal. No refills or anything. We had three waitresses throughout the whole dining experience. Yet, not a single one checked up on us. The "hostess" went out of her way to avoid our table. Someone on here had commented that they treat locals better, they weren't wrong. We had to go up to the counter to ask for a pizza box and the check. We were then asked what we had, did no one write down the order? Avoid this place if you can. First and last time diner.

Yelp
We were looking for a place to eat in Taos when we first came into town and it was the only place that was opened past 9am. Loved the vibe and atmosphere. It's literally outback on the lot it sits. Pizza was unexpectedly mine blowing. The flavors were something else.

Walter S.

Yelp
This may be the best pizza in the world. A bit outside of Taos and an old looking structure but please don't let the outward appearance deter you. Now serving up about 30 beers on tap, a nice attraction too. It's become our family's tradition to have pizza here if we are anywhere close, and close means within 1-1/2 hours drive.

Yelp
Pizza Out Back gets 1 star for actually making great pizza but loses 4 stars for genuinely awful customer service. I work in a customer facing role myself and I would be fired immediately if I treated customers the way employees at TPOB *regularly* treat customers. I was born and raised in Taos and always looked forward to getting Pizza Outback on trips back home to visit family, but honestly not worth it anymore. This is a consistent problem and if I didn't know any better I would assume they specifically train their employees to be as rude as possible to paying guests. Not an exaggeration that the customer service is always bad, and this evening I even got a flat out "I'm not going to help you right now" from the woman at the cash register. Seriously? Not even eye contact, not a "hey, I'll be right with you!" or anything remotely close. No, "I'm not going to help you right now" I used to defend this place from other family members who complained about the service in the past because I believe in giving the benefit of the doubt to service workers. But at some point it's clear it's a systemic issue. Pizza is insanely expensive here anyway. Local tip: go to Pizaños instead. Comparable prices, great pizza, and people who don't treat you like garbage from the moment you walk in the door.

Yelp
**GORMET STYLE DINING AT REASONABLE PRICES** Our experience was wonderful! Our server Anna is attentive and really sweet!! Good call on the extra dressing and the "little coke" *hug* THE ORDER: * Buffalo wings (6) * Greek pizza slice * Pizza & salad lunch special * Cokes Everything was very delicious but now I'm in LOVE with the salad. (The pesto dressing is SOOOO good!!) The restaurant has beer and wine and seems like a great place to hang out on weekends. Keeping this gem on rotation for sure! I've only been to three restaurants in Taos so far and this one os at the top! Enjoy!!

David S.

Yelp
I visit Northern New Mexico several times a year and I have eaten at Taos Pizza Out Back on some of those visits. Their food has usually been good but today was a different experience. I ordered a slice of cheese pizza and a Cesar salad. The slice of cheese pizza was $7.25. While that seems a little high, I would not complain except that it was burned and crunchy along the edges like it had been re-heated a little bit too long. The Cesar salad tasted good, but some of the croutons were burned just like the pizza. And it was $7.95, which seems like a lot for a salad that was not very big.

Yelp
Excellent pizza and crust. Great options. Nice selection of local draft brews. I would eat here again and I am tough on pizza places. It's a dive but clean.

Yelp
One of our family favorites, and now we wonder if we ever want to go back. Pizza is still good. Service was scattered and forgot one our parties meal completely. We ordered small salads and went over it with our waitress twice. Yet our check had the full salad price for each. The Taos Alfredo is awful. Not edible. It's watery with a foul lemon taste and a mixture of spices from the chicken that is overall unpleasant. Our waitress noticed and apologized, but still charged us for the inedible pasta. PLUS there is now a standard 4% gratuity for the kitchen.

Yelp
outback used to be such a great place to eat. We even had it served at our wedding as a fun local treat. But things have really changed. The food isn't as good, and we just had a horrible experience. We called in for pizza at 4:20pm and didn't get it until 5:45pm. The pepperoni pizza had a literal stack of pepperoni on one singular slice and the rest of the pizza was empty. I genuinely cannot believe how bad it is. As a local, I'm so disappointed in how downhill this business has gone. I would not recommend it.

Yelp
WORST EXPERIENCE! We called in a takeout order at 6pm 2 pizzas and Alfredo. They said it would take 20 mins. Arrived at 6:30 wasn't ready and proceeded to wait an hour! NO explanation, No Refund no apology. They said this is just the way it is sometimes. Once we got home Alfredo had no sauce Pizza was mediocre at best. Won't be going there again. Save your time and money. Taos has so many other amazing restaurants.

Yelp
We ordered 2 veggie medium pizzas to go. They were incredibly slow (we showed up at 45 min and they hadn't yet put them into the oven) and when they finally were ready they gave us undercooked pizzas (doughy and puddle of juice in middle). They spent so much time with the oven door open it was about as hot in the kitchen as it was in the oven. Once we got back to the VRBO and cooked the pizzas another 15 min, they were pretty good. Maybe a bad night? I have had decent pizza here in the past.

Yelp
In a cold southwest afternoon, you crave two things, one get out of the cold and two CARBS! Well my friend your in luck stepping in the flavor shack. Yes it looks like an abandoned building that is being held together with gum and good will, but it's something modern restaurants have a hard time achieving, cozy. From the makeshifts eating areas with mismatch chairs, tables, and building materials, to the mellow blues, jazz bellowing from the ether. This place make you feel at ease. (Warning! If you have OCD, this get the food to go. Definitely sensory overload) and maybe some OSHA violations. For the IPA draft drinkers there is a plethora of cool golden brews to satisfy. For the food, a simple caveat, this IS NOT fast food ! It's sit your ass down, chill have a drink, put you dang phone down and have a conversation with your friends while you wait for your food to be made fresh place. Got it ! Get it, Good. There's crayons on the table for fun bro, draw a dinosaur, riding a Vespa, in a Taos masa, no one will judge you. Live. You can get pizza by the slice, and it's massive. Great way to try something new, something borrowed, and something blue, cheese that is. Anyway you slice it (The Puns) you can't go wrong. I got a slice of the portabela, and a meat pizza, all awesome, and the pasta with meatballs because, cold high altitudes = carbs. In the end you will have awaken your inner artist, mellow, carb fix, and leave with a smile on your face, ready to tackle that cool southwest weather that doesn't seem so harsh now. Onwards fellow adventurer, onwards.............

Yelp
On our way to Taos Ski Valley we decided to get a couple of pizzas from Taos Pizza Out Back - heard it was the best in Taos. For New Mexico the pizza was pretty good. Ordered online and had a 45 minute wait time - supposedly. Arrived an hour after ordering and was told it would be another 45 minutes. Goodness, an hour and a half to prepare a pizza? What the heck? Next time if we want Taos Pizza OutBack we will order as we leave Santa Fe.

Yelp
Have been coming here routinely for over a decade. Bizarre visit yesterday. The business has always been dog friendly. Now they have a 6x6 enclosure for them. Not friendly. Pizza was good. Beer was warm. Unlikely to be back.

Yelp
Just don't. Despite bad reviews we ordered online from this restaurant because we really wanted pizza. Mistake. We decided to pick up because delivery times were so long. It said pizza would be ready in 45 minutes, which was at my outer bound for what I'd accept. When I arrived to pick up, we were told it would be another 30 minutes. Meanwhile, people dining in were being told it would be an hour and a half for their orders. After waiting a while, with no confidence that the 30 minutes was accurate I checked in the status of my order. I was told it would be 45 minutes then, at which point I cancelled my order and left. Horribly run restaurant. Unless you don't want your food for a long time, save yourself the aggravation and don't go there.

Yelp
Worst service possible. Complete waste of time. Was completely ignored for half an hour, and then overheard the other waitress say to the people coming in that it would be an at least an hour wait for pizzas to come out of the oven. Must be under new management.
