"Views and Brews! You’ll find a few Tap & Barrels around Vancouver , but the convention centre has probably one of the best patios in the city offering uninterrupted views across the sea and mountains. I love that their policy is to support local all the way, so you’ll find a good spread of BC beers, along with custom collaborations with local brewmasters to create exclusive brews. Eco-friendly, everything is on tap here - even the wine (they have an excellent list of local wines, which recently won an honourable mention for best wine list at the Vancouver International Wine Festival)."

I was here with my family. We ordered fries and chicken for starter and were delicious. The service was super awesome and very friendly staff. The bad. First I ordered a Diet Coke but was very flat. My wife ordered steak, the first one arrives badly burnt. Second steaks arrive medium burnt, the worse part was you can actually taste how burnt it was. 3rd, the manager arrives after the second burnt steak. She was friendly but made an excuse that they grill the steak, so burnt was normal, we explain to her not only it looks burnt but it taste burnt as well. She did offer free dessert which we declined. Also the first steak we ordered, we asked for medium well done which is our fault for saying “medium well done” supposed medium well, however from the first photo that’s badly burnt, that was rare inside and burnt outside. I really feel bad leaving this kind of review as the staff was super friendly, Manager change everything for making excuse. As a manager myself, whenever my staff made a mistake, It reflects on me and we’d discuss how to improve it. Check the photos if you think this kind of burnt was normal

We were seated in private dinning area, the view is good for kids to view the boat. Try few items but I would say there is room for improvement. But they provide good services make you feel welcome. Not a bad place to handout at weekend.

This has got to be one of the most chaotic places I have ever eaten at, and that's saying something. I suppose this could be deemed something of a Tourist Trap Restaurant, as Tap and Barrel flanks the infamous Olympic Cauldron. By dint of this, Tap doesn't even need to advertise, customers just fall into their lap. Without fail, even though I always have a reservation, I still end up having to wait an extra 15 to 20 minutes before I can be seated. "The party isn't done yet" is the repeat offending explanation. Had it ever occurred to them that spacing out reservations might reduce this issue and that quadruple booking for a timeslot might not be a good idea? Clearly, the supply can not keep up with the demand, so why don't they manage their reservations better or hire more staff? I usually am able to snap pictures of the interior of any restaurant, but it's not happening here. Customers and servers are shockingly and ridiculously crammed inside. I'm sure this has to be some kind of fire and safety hazard. Every available space is taken up, and making your way to a table is like finding your way through a Taylor Swift concert, minus the catchy tunes. After dining here a few times, I gave up trying to digitally capture any of the ambiance (yes, there are barrels on the wall) and decided to just concentrate on the exterior of the restaurant and the food. For all the aforementioned insanity, thankfully, the food is really damn good. Their Chicken Mac and Cheese is flavorful, and the noodles are surprisingly al dente. It is listed as an entrée but really, it eats more like an appetizer. The Steak with Peppercorn Sauce is about as good as it gets, but the accompanying fries are to die for. Fresh and crispy, the way fries were meant to be served. They also have a Blackberry Bitters non alcoholic drink, which I am addicted to, and often order at least two of before the night is through. I would highly caution you against going to this location on a Friday, as it seems to be the most hectic day of the week. I have spent numerous Fridays here, requesting a drink order three to four times to two or three different servers before actually getting said drink. You have been warned. The chaos aside, this is actually one of my favorite places to go to for comfort food. I recommend you try this place, but only on a weekday. And even then, you'll still require the patience of a Saint before you can get your barrel tapped.

Google
Came here since it was close to my hotel. I loved what I ordered. I can’t remember the name but it’s on the appetizer part of the menu. Super yummy and spicy but not too spicy. Sat outside. It got a little chilly I wished they would have lit the outdoor heaters. Otherwise would come back. Great location. Prices are reasonable

Google
I've been to a number of their locations, each a handful of times. Drinks and service are always excellent! I also enjoy how they reserve seats around the edge of their (dog-friendly) patio for dog owners, and are mindful about not putting two dogs right next to each other. Their lunch/dinner food is really good, but their brunch is underwhelming.

Google
Our server was lovely and the outdoor seating had great views! I did find chicken in my tofu bowl ordered from the plant based section. However, they dealt with this very well and took it off the bill and offered to make me a new one. Would definitely recommend but would just double check your food when comes.

It was awesome! Korean bowl and PB&J burger are tasty and different! Kids meal portions are good! You should come during the happy hour!

We went to Tap & Barrel on a Sunday and it wasn’t busy so we were able to get a table facing the waterfront. They have happy hour until a certain time so we ordered off that menu. I got the standard breakfast and my partner got the fried chicken eggs benedict. Both were great tasting and good value.

Yelp
I wasn't expecting much, it's a tourist restaurant by the convention center after all, but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was surprisingly tasty and the front room had a great view of the harbor and the seaplanes. Service was good too after they kept trying to keep us away from the tables with the good views (not sure why, it was not a busy time and there were plenty of tables), so overall a surprisingly decent place to eat.
google avatar

Yelp
Great for a chain restaurant! The food is always good and i recommend ordering the waffle fry poutine as a full appetizer rather than as a side to your burger. Although it's so delicious you may not want to share! They have a large happy hour menu so be sure to visit and load up on appetizers and drinks. They have a large beer menu so there should be something for everyone. And since they offer flights, you don't have to pick just one!

Yelp
I woke up with an intense craving for Burgers. If you like your burgers juicy like I do, they serve them here like that. Most places overcook them. Not here. I personally think it's a crime to serve beef patty's anything other than medium rare. But that's me. I had to try the PB & J Burger. Why? I like Burgers and Peanut Butter and that's exactly what you get with this dish. So, picture this....a well-seasoned, juicy, beefy, textured patty with a rich creamy house mayo on-top, zesty pickles, crisp lettuce and a buttery brioche holding it all together...just for you. Now add Peanut Butter and bacon jam in the midst of that awesome shindig. If that wasn't good enough....add hot, super fresh salted fries still steaming. You know why I'm getting excited? Because, you'd be surprised to know that these days it's the norm to serve luke warm unsalted fries with dry patties. That's why. This Tap & Barrel still does it old school...where...well....food is supposed to be hot, drinks strong and cold and everything seasoned.....you know...shit is done right. I'm starting to sound like my parents. There was one thing that held the 5th star captive. When you are as awesome as these guys....you really wanna charge your guests nearly $4 for carbonated water from the tap? I mean it's water. With bubbles. :/

Yelp
We stopped by here yesterday for dinner. The line at cactus was too long but we were able to snag seats right away here. Our waitress was super friendly and accommodating. We arrived around 4:30. We ordered: Tots: 3/5 these were ok, would have been better if they were crispier. Kids cheeseburger with fries: 5/5 my kid liked it. Kids burger with salad: 5/5 my other kid liked it. The side salad was good. Happy hour chicken burger: 5/5 great and tasty! I highly recommend this one. Happy hour burger: 4/5 this burger was good but chicken was better. Mushroom truffle pizza: 5/5 surprisingly really yummy, I can taste the truffle oil! Good amount of mushroom. Thin crust. Hot wings: 4/5 hot wing! How can you go wrong with this? Great place to stop by for food and for happy hour. Interesting how each restroom stall has its own sink. We sat inside since it was a little chilly outside but if you sit outside you can see all the cruise ships sail in.

Yelp
We are visiting and decided to stop by and have a break with sightseeing. Lots of outdoor seating and the best seats would be closer to the water but those are almost always reserved during dinner time. We ended up getting seated pretty far from the water. I wanted poutine and although I didn't see it on the menu, I asked our waitress and they had it. They didn't disappoint! 4/5 Poutine - very tasty and a must have with every visit to Canada! The gravy and cheese topping on the fries were so good! 4/5 Chicken wings Korean style - the wings were a little on the small side but still pretty good 3/5 Rice bowl with chicken - just okay 3/5 Ceviche - I don't normally like ceviche so it was just okay - someone else in my party ordered it We ordered too much food and had plenty for leftovers the next day. Definitely would come back.

Yelp
Hey Yelpers!!! Ate here with the wife while staying next door at the Pan Pacific Hotel. Had a great meal here! The food was excellent and the service was awesome. The fried chicken Mac and cheese was tasty. The Mac was cheesy and the chicken cooked perfectly. The seafood chowder was so good we ate at another location that night and had it AGAIN! The garlic bread you can order with it is a perfect complement and should not be skipped. We will probably go back on our return trip in a week. And lien I said, the service was spot on! GO GET THE CHOWDER!!!

Yelp
Came for a quick drink and appetizers after a wedding at the convention center waiting for the reception to start. Sonia was such a sweet server and very attentive. The drinks were very good and so was the fish/chips, fried pickles and quesadilla. Attached is a picture of the view

Yelp
Came here during their happy hour. White wine was alright, they do have quite a number of options available. Decided to get their quonio power bowl with halloumi ($22.5). Kinda pricey for what they are, however toppings are quite generous when it comes to halloumi and avocado. Tasted okay but nothing mind blowing.

Yelp
Only went once but very good - cool spot, great beer, great dessert cocktail- I had this warm butter bourbon thing that was stellar for a cool night. I had the PB&J burger because people said it was great and I was surprised that it they were right! The fries weren't stellar - I also tried the waffle cut which were better. Gravy ok

Yelp
My friends and I decided to come here after much debate about which pub style business we should visit. First thing we found out is that it's quite popular and difficult to get a spot immediately. That cost us the chance to have the happy hour menu but thats alright. We had kinda studied menus at places diligently and saw online that nachos were available. Unfortunately, it turns out the website isn't 100% accurate across locations as there no nachos to be had. We did have guacamole and salsa, but I'm not gonna lie. The tortilla chips we were served seemed like they came out of a bag. We could get refills of the chips at least though. I waa feeling steak, and went with the Creole Sirloin. Again, I'm not gonna lie but I was disappointed when I got the dish. I felt like I got the smallest 7oz piece of steak ever made. The taste wasn't awful but I didn't feel like I got my monies worth. Service overall was great. Our waitress was super attentive and helped us with drink refills throughout the outing. I'm kinda hesitatingly giving one thumbs up as nothing was terrible, but nothing was really outstanding.

Yelp
Comfort food, patio seating near the water and cocktail done right. Had the West Coast 75. They did not skimp on alcohol. Had the Pesto Linguine with prawns. Liked both. My friend had the seafood rice bowl with salmon added on and Mezcal Margarita. She raved about both. Good price point. Service is good too. There was a waiting period but it turned out to be less than what we were told. All in all, a good experience.

Yelp
Ok so I had no idea I was about to eat something so delicious!! This quinoa, kale salad with green goddess dressing is amazing. The fried cheese is a must try and I added salmon which hit the spot. Server was super awesome. Best time to sit outside is 5-8pm. Gorgeous views.

Yelp
Great recommendation by the front desk of the Vancouver Marriott. I wanted a place to go where I could watch football, eat and drink. This is the place. You can sit inside or out. We sat at the bar so that we could watch college football. Great staff that was knowledgeable and very friendly. The Korean spice wings were amazing, I could have eaten 20 of them. The wine is tapped right out of the barrel. There are at least 20 different types of reds and whites. The full rack was deliciously seasoned and cooked perfectly. The barbecue sauce was homemade. I can't wait to visit again. If you are in the area, do not pass this place up.

Yelp
Been to this location twice (second time to celebrate my birthday). Loved it both times. The food has been fairly consistent in quality. Really delicious and great helpings. It can be pricey but it is completely worth it. The staff are great and the service was wonderful. Although this is a small location, it's worth a trip if you have not been here already.

Yelp
Reading some of the other reviews for this restaurant, I can only surmise that this place has seriously upped its game, as my kid and I came here for an early dinner yesterday and it was fantastic! I had made reservations online through Open Table, but we arrived quite early (my kid and I expected to spend more time at the Planted convention at the Convention Center, but it was so crowded, we left super early). Despite long lines outside the restaurant, I asked the guy at the counter if there was an empty table, either inside or out on their huge patio, noting that we were early and if we had to wait, that was totally okay. He was super nice and after conferring with a colleague, said there was a table inside and we were escorted in. I really liked the whole vibe of this place. Lots of tv's with hockey and soccer playing (go Oilers!). Exposed overhead pipes adding an industrial feel, with thick wooden tables and bar counters with the T&B logo branded on in areas. Dark walls with Hollywood bulb lighted signs. Open kitchen area to watch the cooks. Humongous bar with a gazillion taps for a gazillion beers. I'm not a beer drinker but if I were, this'd be heaven. Great ambiance. And the patio outside looked AMAZING. Our server was Daria (I might be misspelling her name). And she was wonderful. Very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and all the beers. My kid ordered a sour beer she likes but mentioned she wanted to try a few others "eventually", and Daria brought her samples of these three other sour beers, just to try. I thought that was so nice! As for me, I ordered a rosé sangria and it was delightful. Now, as for the food.... I have nothing even remotely critical to say. My kid and I shared the chicken wings with the maple bacon glaze, and all I can say is, these were the best chicken wings we both had ever had! Not too gloopy or sticky or greasy, but simultaneously sweet and salty and crispy skinned, like candy, and absolutely divine! We also shared the peppercorn steak (I know, I know, we just came from a vegetarian convention. Don't judge!!!). I'm not one for sauces so this wasn't really my "thing", but the steak was cooked perfectly and was delicious, as were the accompanying truffle mashed potatoes and asparagus. My kid IS a vegetarian, though, who has meat once every 1-2 years, and she said this was the best steak and best sauce she ever had. I was so surprised she was so into this dish, but she totally devoured it. We were too full to even consider dessert, but decided to return, either here or to the cute-looking Tap Shack along the Coal Harbor seawall, once the weather gets nice again (hopefully soon!).

Yelp
Beautiful views, and amazing food. This is how I would summarize my experience at this restaurant. My wife and I came with our two young children. They shared the macaroni and cheese, which was leveled up with the addition of Alfredo sauce, and came with a nice side of bread. I had the spicy, tuna burger, which came with a side of waffle fries that I upgraded to. The truffle waffle fries were outstanding, and I highly recommend dipping in the mayonnaise on the side. My wife initially was going to get the mushroom toast, which was not available, so she pivoted to the quinoa bowl. The quinoa bowl was a green luscious bowl, full of quinoa, roasted, chickpeas, lettuce, spinach, and many other tasty toppings. We ordered it with the grilled avocado, but it is also possible to get it with halloumi cheese. Chloe was our server and is one of the nicest I've ever met ... she is just phenomenal and made our experience tremendous!

Yelp
We had planned to eat at another restaurant nearby and the staff was rude, stuffed us into the bar on top of other tables. We walked out and headed over to Taps and Barrel and it was the best decision we made. We were seated outside and it was a beautiful evening. We watched seaplanes take off, the ever changing sky as the sunset and boats come and go. The service was excellent, our server was attentive, fun and so friendly. Of course we started with drinks, ordered waffle fries to start. They were crispy and delicious and served with a wonderful Parmesan, parsley and garlic aioli. For dinner, Mr. Bee chose the Poke Bowl. The bowl was filled with jasmine rice, miso mayo, roasted pineapple, fresh avocado, ginger, sesame and green onions. Everything was so fresh and the tuna melted in your mouth. I went vegetarian and chose the Cajun BBQ Tofu Bowl. The spice level was not too hot, but spicy. The bowl was filled with tender brown rice, corn and black bean salsa, fresh avocado slices and topped with Cajun BBQ Tofu. I was a very happy girl, it was scrumptious. So glad we made the choice to change restaurants, Tap and Barrel was fabulous.

Yelp
Service was friendly and very helpful, and the atmosphere was definitely nice, close to the water. The food was good, no complaints there. Overall, I would recommend this place for lunch.

Yelp
It has been years since I last went to Tap & Barrel because there are just so many restaurants to choose from. I've always loved the atmosphere here. The restaurant has a trendy, chic decor that offers something for everyone. Our server was fantastic. She was attentive but not overly. Drinks and food arrived quickly. She made the experience that much more enjoyable. I ordered an Earl Grey sour which was absolutely delicious. If you enjoy anything Earl Grey flavour, this drink is worth ordering. The balance of sour with the warm of the Earl Grey made it easy to order a couple more. My wife ordered the veggie burger and I order the halloumi sandwich. We split each item in half so that we could both try them since we both had a hard time deciding between the two. The veggie burger is quite tasty. The burger patty is made from chickpeas and had a great balance of flavour and moisture. This is something that can be hard to accomplish with a handmade patty. As for the halloumi sandwich, I loved the saltiness of the cheese. The hummus and naan bread added depth of flavour to the sandwich as well and the poutine waffle fries were amazing!
google avatar

Kris M.

Yelp
Robert had the PB&J Burger and a Watermelon & Jalapeño Margarita. I had the fried chicken Mac and cheese. The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned and fried. The pasta was al dente and the cheese sauce was not too heavy. Great meal. Would come again.

Yelp
Swung by for Saturday brunch/lunch. Was very easy to make an online reservation for their patio. Loved how they expanded it so there is plenty of seating. As for brunch, I enjoyed the avocado breakfast bowl but $17.50 was very pricey for a small portion of tater tots, minimal avocado and 2 poached eggs. Tasty, but a little bland and overpriced. Won't do brunch again. My friend got the wild mushroom pizza $18.95 which looked good! Will probably only come back for happy hour.

Yelp
Service, food, and drinks were exceptional. Our server, Phil, and the manager, Chris, were amazing. The food was delicious and the pink lemonade slushy is to die for. 10 stars.

Yelp
This place was not great for me, host did not want to find us a spot outside and under an umbrella, so we were inside. Server was not very interested in his job, but, service was fine. My burger was standard, nothing special, fish and chips were bad, all breading, no fish, very disappointing on the water
google avatar

Kave K.

Yelp
Food was average at best. Ambiance was nice. The service was below average. Our server was very rough, socially awkward, and not attentive. Our glasses of water stayed empty during our dinner, he noticed but didn't bother himself. When I asked for a spoon, he brought one but wiped it with his t-shirt right before getting to us. Overall, not worth our time and money.

Yelp
This is my first time here and let's just say I was not impressed by the Happy Hour menu at all. Friends and I were in the area and wanted to grab a quick dinner at around 5:00pm. It was a Saturday evening and we decided to check out the happy hour menu. I decided to go with the Tap Special burger and they mentioned it being an exclusive item only available during happy hour. So I thought why not and it was only $10. I also ordered the tater tots for $5. My friends got the guacamole and salsa chips as well as some other items off the hh menu. When it arrived, I was so disappointed to see only the burger with a dry beef patty on a bun. Inside the burger was a piece of lettuce covered in mayo and two pickles. It was so lacklustre and unappealing. Seriously a McDonald's burger looked tastier than this and at half the price. I was so shocked as I was not expecting this at all. There were no sides such as fries or anything...nope it was just a plain burger as plain as cafeteria food. It tasted bland and probably the worst burger I've ever eaten in my life. This is not even considered a burger. The other dishes were not much better according to my friends. Steep price for tiny mediocre food. I am rating this happy hour menu as one of the worst I have ever tried. One star for our waiter who was friendly. Safe to say I won't be back as there are so many better happy hour menus out there... you have been warned!!!

Yelp
Wow! What a great spot in the heart of the waterfront in Vancouver! I love visiting Tap & Barrel because they have a HUGE menu of items, lots of delicious drinks and fantastic service. What truly blew my mind was their Prosciutto and Arugula Pizza that was out of this world !! The pizza was not your normal style of pizza - it was soft but had all the right amount of flavour to make it delicious. Their Frank's Hot sauce wings were also very tasty - I'd recommend trying a variety of items as they have it all! Tap & Barrel is the perfect place to go with friends and family for any occasion but especially during a live sporting event! Hope you enjoy your time checking out a solid spot in Vancouver!

Yelp
We stopped here for a cheeky drink while waiting for our dinner reservation at Miku, as we had our first date at the Tap & Barrel (Shipyard Markets) and it seemed fitting before a romantic meal. What we hadn't realized about this location, unlike the other T&B venues, is that there's not much in the way of natural light given that it's half-below and half-above ground, and that there are giant TV screens everywhere, which makes it feel more like a dark sports bar than a casual restaurant. Definitely not the vibe we were going for, and seems like an odd choice given the premium waterfront location, but maybe that's just us. In the summer, they have a patio on a portion of the Jack Poole Plaza which would be pleasant to kill an afternoon on, though the inside space leaves something to be desired. In any case, the cocktails were good - I ordered the Black Pepper Rosemary Gimlet (black pepper infused Empress 1908 gin, rosemary, lime, cracked pepper) and my husband ordered the Georgia St. Sour (Old Forester Bourbon, apricot brandy, lemon, ruby red grapefruit, egg white, Angostura Bitters, dried apricot). The presentation of both drinks was cool (see attached photo), and offered something different than the usual fare. All in all, this location would get a solid "Okay - Good" from us when talking about the internal space - if we were sitting on the patio on a summer evening, I can easily imagine this being a 4 or 5. If you're a sports fan or looking to catch a game somewhere a little off the beaten path, this would be a nice spot to hit up after work or if you live in Coal Harbour.

Yelp
Excellent service! Food is awesome and the drinks are great. Most importantly the bathrooms are always spotless!!!

Yelp
A few of my friends came to visit me so I wanted to show them around vancouver. We just wanted a quick drink so we ordered some and some waffle fries. The food was amazing and the server was sweet. But once we were done, it took forever to close out and get our bill. We were running late to meet up with some other friends so we tried to get some help and see if our server was getting our change or not. We couldn't find a server so we asked a nearby workers who seemed like a hosts. I guess we were wrong so They gave us some attitude but they seemed pretty busy so we didn't mind. But once we turned our backs, we didn't even walk very far, we heard both of them talking bad about us saying how they were busy and they don't have time to tend to every single customer. Talking about how low the get payed so it wasn't their problem. Ect ect. (Mind you we were like a foot away from them) I get they could be busy but they couldn't at least wait untill we were gone to start talking bad abt us! It was very rude and my friends were very bummed out/mad about that. Wouldn't visit again unless we want some servers talking bad about us right there.

Yelp
The entree we decided to order off their regular menu as the Poke Bowl. It had ahi tuna, sushi rice, edamame, avocado, seaweed salad, green onion, pineapple, pickled ginger, carrot and sesame seeds. Everything was topped with a drizzle of sweet mango sauce and wasabi mayo. Everything mixed together nicely and we liked the toppings to rice ratio. It could have been a larger portion but other than that no complaints! This Salted Caramel Apple Buckle rounded off our meal nicely. It's texture was similar to a bread pudding with chunks of baked apple in between the layers. On top of the buckle was a delicious scoop salted caramel gelato from Mario's. As far as salted caramel gelatos go, this was definitely not too sweet on it's own. Although if you eat the two together, it can get a little sweet in my opinion so if you're going to have it, I recommend eating the two separately!

Yelp

Being during happy hour was a blast . Our first time but not the last . Prices affordable and generous portions . Thanks Tap & Barrel

Yelp
We came here for a colleague's farewell party. We ordered quite a lot of food: Famous fried pickles Handmade Guac & Salsa Prosciutto & Arugula pizza Tuna Tataki Soft baked Pretzels Fried Calimari Tuna Poke bowl Hummus and Flatbread local wild mushroom pizza and other things that I don't remember. This place is known for their beer on tap. That is why they are called Tap & Barrel. There are two sections of the restaurant (patio and inside). We sat inside because it was a super hot day plus we wanted to watch the game inside (TV inside only). Service was good. Our server was really young looking and he was nice to give us good suggestions on beer. Also if you like you can sample the beer on tap before ordering it. The place was super busy right after 5pm on the day we came. Luckily we made a reservation beforehand. However, I made the reservation for 15 people and the lady only wrote down 13. When they called to confirm the reservation on the day, I tried to change it but they were not able to. Oh well. In terms of food it was good. Only thing I don't recommend to try is their brownie. It was super sweet and disgusting(but it was huge). Everything else was very tasty.

Yelp
The Mediterranean food here is amazing. The zataar flatbread with hummus had great flavor. I got the halloumi power bowl which was delicious and very filling.

Yelp
Great Service Avg Food ~ Dessert was Great but I was mostly drunk by then. Peppercorn steak. Slightly under done but tasty Asparagus. Again Great Service. Dessert was the Sticky Pudding, more cake than pudding (over done ~ Comically) but still tasty. Crowded but not slow, food served hot. It works in a pinch and wouldn't mind going again but wouldn't make a special trip of it.

Yelp
very cool vibe. always playing football with TVs everywhere but not in an annoying way. love the design of the place, the cozy booths, and the bookshelf is a nice touch. good selection of beer as well. only thing we didn't love is that the host is outside and even with a heater it's freezing - they should be indoors in the winter

Yelp
OMG. SO GOOD. I'm in Vancouver for only 2 days and genuinely upset I can't come back here. We had the slush of the day (Mai Tai) and it was incredible. I ordered the chicken and rice bowl and forgot to take a picture, but it was great.

Yelp
Ate at Tap and Barrel (Convention Center) again on our latest trip to Vancouver and while the food is always very good (recommend their fried pickles especially), this time was a bust due to a double charge for our meal; two tickets for the exact same amount exactly one minute apart. They cannot figure this out evidently and Citibank, after receiving their answer to my dispute, denied my claim. On my Tripadvisor review, their reply was to email them directly- as if they wanted to work with us to settle the dispute- looks good to the reader but this was after they denied my claim thru Citibank, who then credited them back with the second charge. Of course I have challenged it again as I no longer consider it an unjust charge but an affront to my honesty. We travel to Vancouver occasionally and have always enjoyed it, and have always given good reviews...and still do regarding their food. We just will be dining next door at the trendy Cactus Club in the future, whether or not in the end we end up paying a second time for our meal or not. My advice is if you go to the Convention Center Tap and Barrel, watch your server and your bill like a hawk! Not sure how they allow this to happen and blame the customer instead of the server.

Yelp
I came here with my husband to eat for lunch. We sat outside in their patio area. The view was really nice, and the weather was perfect to sit outside. The waiter got to us really quick after we sat down, which we were not upset about. They have a long list of beer on tap which was awesome for me. They didn't have my husbands first choice of cider, but it wasn't too big of a deal - as his second choice was great! My husband got their PB&J burger. I had their beyond burger with their gluten free bun (which was my first time trying a beyond burger). My husband has tried quite a few PB&J burgers from different places. He enjoyed eating it but it wasn't his favorite. He recommends adding bacon and maybe a bit more peanut butter. For being my first beyond burger, I enjoyed it. If I ever came back, I would get it again. Overall, service was good. Food was good, and would definitely come back again but we wouldn't move our schedules around just to come back.

Yelp
We went to this Tap and Barrel location for a Father's Day dinner and it was perfection. If you go to this location ask for Lyles section! He was so fantastic and helpful, definitely made us feel like old friends. I will go back to this specific location just for him. The food was also very good. I tried the Spicy Tune Burger *chefs kids* it was delicious (Lyle suggested it". I love the small seating area by the water, it's like it's own separate dinning room. Our son got to watch the planes take off and land which helped keep him busy.

Yelp
Wonderful open air restaurant on the water. Great ambiance. You can watch the boats & see the seaplanes takeoff & land. All the employees were nice, helpful & polite. I tried the PB&J Burger because it was local beef. Amazing surprise in my mouth. The chef did a wonderful job teaming the flavors. My daughter had the hummus appetizer. Very flavorful & fresh. It came with lots of pita. The kids each had the kids meal cheeseburgers. Big patty & the fries were crunchy & perfectly salted. My son had chicken Caesar salad. Lettuce was crispy, flavorful & fresh. Dressing was delicious. Lots of craft beers & fun alcoholic drinks on the menu. The bar made Shirley Temples for the kids. Hint - We were exploring on the waterfront & found this place. Walkup line had about 20 people in it. I went to the website & made a reservation for 5 minutes after we arrived. Bypassed everyone in the walk up line

Yelp
We were at the Tap &Barrel last week and received great service and the food was delicious. We returned yesterday (October 12) for an entirely different experience. The fish and chips was delicious, the tap room burger was good, but the waffle fries were cold. They were replaced with warm but not hot. Seemed to be shift change. Just disappointing.

Yelp
We came here for happy hour, enjoy cool beers in a nice summer day, nothing can be better My friend ordered lamb pizza, it's my first time to try it, didn't expect it to be soooo sooo yummy, no more pepperoni pizza for me, lamb pizza would be my only choice! I will definitively come back for it! You can also watch beautiful sun set at the harbor, enjoy nice scenery, delicious food and relaxing cold brew together with few good friends, appreciate how wonderful life could be!

Yelp
Good food. Good service. We enjoyed the view of the water plane airport while we were dining.

Yelp
Can't speak for the food, just stopped in for a quiet beer. Emphasis on quiet. It was so noisy. We couldn't talk across the table from each other at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Sadly, lacking in sound baffles to quiet the place down. Will not be back anytime soon or if so, only lunch on Tuesday.(hopefully it'll be quieter then) Jim

Yelp
Wonderful location. Nice outdoor seating. I had the beef samplers for we ordered a couple of shared dishes to help along with the drinking: wings, fried calamari, fried pickles and guacamole. I had a flight of local brews and liked most of them. I can se myself hanging out here for a longer period of time with my buddies. The staff was attentive and friendly too.

Yelp
Food was just average but service was slow like molasses. Plates were dirty and the server took forever to come back with new plates. Chicken wings were so small, thought I was eating a pigeon. And getting the check took like what felt like a century. I left a 15% tip but I think the server deserved much less then that. If I visit Vancouver again, I'll make sure not to come here. Only came here because Cactus Club would take too long and we were hungry.

Yelp
I tried their halloumi vegetarian sandwich to go and it was pretty good. The place seemed quite crowded and busy so consider making a reservation for popular hours.

Yelp
Cannot say more about how good this place is! Had the creole butter steak and I'm great! Along with a flight of great beer, I'm in happy land. Would totally eat here again! Awesome service made it 5*!

Yelp
TAP the IPA, guys! I Challenged Peanut Butter & Bacon Jerry burger. Peanuts Butte and Bacon flavor had good matched with 100% grilled beef! TAPでIPA! PB(ピーナッツバター) & Jerry Bacon バーガーに挑戦。 グリルドビーフにピーナッツバター、ベーコン、ピクルスが意外にマッチ。 Nice Try!
