We had a fantastic experience this evening! From the start, Claudia at the front accommodated us (table of 8) with an awesome patio spot and she was so lovely to chat with! Then our server~Cassidy~ made the experience complete! She was great and friendly. She kept waters topped up, drinks flowing and food was received quickly! We were there for way too long talking and not once were we rushed to leave or feel like we should go. 363!!! Definitely will be back!

Love the vibes here. I've been at all different times weekday, weekend, lunch , night and it's always a good time. My absolute favorite is the hot honey Calabrese pizza. It's so good! I even order just that for delivery sometime. Only downside is that the service can be a bit off. Not rude or anything, just kind of inattentive. Luckily, I usually come with a fun group, so it doesn't ruin the experience. But if the service improved, this place would be amazing.

Google
If your a dog owner then this is a great spot for you. The best days to go are on happy hours. On the weekends the brunch is pretty standard, nothing special. The patio upstairs has a nice view towards downtown. The service is pretty corporate standard. Our server took good care of my dog with lots of water and attention. Really good service here. Great place to drink and socialize.

Google
the place was inviting and clean. we were seated quickly. the waiting time to order and to receive the bill was a little long despite it not being that busy but overall it was a good experience. the pesto linguine is really good but at times the noodles are a bit hard. very good drink options and the staff are accommodating to events. the pizza good and the waffle truffle fries are the best ive ever had (crispy, flavourful, delicious, and satisfying). the mac and cheese can use a bit more seasoning though. the chicken on the salad was a bit charred but thats alright. for the kids meals the menu says they come with apple slices, ice cream, and apple juice but sometimes the server forgets. however the servers are very friendly and i like how they give free desserts for special events :).

Tap & Barrel is hands down one of my favorite spots! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, vibrant, and welcoming. Whether you’re there for a casual drink, a family dinner, or a night out with friends, the vibe fits perfectly. The food is consistently delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I highly recommend their burgers, and their seasonal features are always worth trying. The drink selection is impressive, with a wide variety of local craft beers on tap and creative cocktails. Service is another highlight. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. Our server went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and made great recommendations. And let’s not forget the view — especially if you’re lucky enough to grab a patio seat. It’s the perfect place to relax and take it all in. Highly recommend Tap & Barrel. Can’t wait to go back!

Google
I've been to a number of their locations, each a handful of times. Drinks and service are always excellent! I also enjoy how they reserve seats around the edge of their (dog-friendly) patio for dog owners, and are mindful about not putting two dogs right next to each other. Their lunch/dinner food is really good (brunch food is less so). This location has also been great about catering to large groups when I've come for work lunches!

Google
I think their food is really good. Quite diverse and there’s something for everyone. Great drink and beer selection, too. Their patio is fantastic in good weather and the location and views are extraordinary. Their patio service is great (I actually think it improved). This is a go-to patio spot. Great happy hour options, too.

Ariel was A Mazing! As well as the team and Nigel! We love coming here and its our most frequented restaurant in Van City. If you have not been here 10/10 recommend. Delicious food, thoughtful and kind staff, and great atmosphere right in the water.

Yelp
Service was great. Awesome patio by the water which is pet friendly. Truffle fries is not bad and the chilli garlic prawns is delicious. The drinks are OK but the atmosphere during sunset is pretty awesome.

Yelp
I love the Tap & Barrel on Olympic Village! It's my favourite summer spot for lunch/dinner with a view. Their patio is so big it can also accommodate a big party. I went their during happy hour and got their highball for drinks ($5, not bad). For food, I got their fried chicken snack burger from the happy hour menu and their tots. Both were pretty good for the prize! My favourite thing from everything I ordered was their fried pickles... it was soo soo good!! Perfectly crispy and the dipping sauce was amazing. Their service was pretty good considering how busy it was. I had to make a reservation in advance (4 days in advance) and I'm glad I did because it was pretty packed otherwise! I went there on a Sunday afternoon. After the meal, we took a stroll by the park so it was perfect. I love this location!

Yelp
Came here late night after a flight- slow/not so friendly service. They have a lte night happy hour, 9pm-close which offers a really well priced assortment of things Worth it: IPA happy hour beer was really good, along with the burger. Not worth it: poutine fries (not happy hour) for $16, elderflower rose Negroni - poutine fries lacked much flavor. Waffle cut was nice. Not a huge portion for price - elderflower Negroni seemed different but ended up very syrup flavor tasting Chill vibe, nothing crazy. Would opt for somewhere else next time in town

Yelp
We were surprised by how good the food was. 3 different and difficult eaters all found something we thoroughly enjoyed! (Gluten free, vegetarian and just picky) sitting on patio was lovely. Overall good experience! Very casual.

Yelp
We came across this restaurant and thought we would give it a try. I had the Butternut Squash soup and 2 pieces of garlic bread. I should have just ordered one as it was very thick and doughy. It was not that good. The soup, however, was REALLY tasty. Our server was very nice and let me have a sample of the phantom CabernetFranc. It was a delicious wine.

Yelp
Tap and Barrel is a super casual and fun chain in Vancouver. We ate at the one in Olympic Village. The food was good and hearty, except for the garlic bread. Prices were average and so was the service.

Yelp
Purposely came here on a rainy Wednesday eve to avoid the regular crowd & I was happy that my prediction was correct (as my guest does not like too many people around) as we sat at water-view seats My first time here for some time - we ordered a truffle burger (not pictured), crispy squid, crispy brussel sprouts (fall menu item), quinoa power bowl, maple dijon salmon & a couple of non-alcohol fruit spritzers Food was fresh, perfectly cooked, crispy food's crunch was perfect, combination of sauces were distinctively delish ~ Would love to bring guests here again (when its not too crowded) (find me on Instagram via @aida.loves )

Yelp
This place in Olympic village is so nice, cute patio perfect for rain and shine. They also have a good lunch & dinner menu. * Truffle mushroom Mac & cheese ~ was so bomb this dish was cheesy and gooey and the macaroni was cooked Al dente. It was also fragrant in truffle and mushroom as well. It's super filling and heavy so I recommend it more of a dinner than lunch item. 8/10. * Gyoza ~ savoury with a slight kick of heat. The wrapper was good and nice thickness and texture and the meat was juicy and well seasoned. It was in a sriracha mustard and sesame sauce and had a baby kick to it. 7.5/10. * Also got the pesto chicken pasta. * Overall this place is a classic for some quick and easy foods. I wanna come back for their brunch!

Yelp
Service was excellent and food matched! Only stopped after Alaskan cruise, thankful that we did. Spicy Mango Margarita was$2.00 off and tasted fantastic.

Yelp
Very nice ambiance, we had to request for umbrella area with view after hostess stated none available. Ended up with great view, great waiters and delicious food. Thanks enjoyed the moment.

Yelp
Not sure what to say which rarely happens. I mean the whole experience at this Tap & Barrel was just underwhelming, lacking and sad. Our server rushed us from the minute we sat down to the minute we got up and left. The Caesar I ordered was .....well...I don't even know how to explain it....it looked like it was in pain. The stingy desperate half a pepperoni with a peperoncini. It looked like a bartending student made it who was to fail his course. I also asked the server to bring me a straw, which she never did. The lager came completely flat and the food didn't make it any better. Today was the day I tried my worst Gyoza. A pre-made, frozen, processed mess. Not sure it was even real meat. It tasted very rubbery. The chicken strips with fries (see pic) looked like someone was preparing the dish and forgot to finish...you can count the fries with one glance and the chicken..well...the chicken I'm sure when it was alive had more integrity before it got turned into a wanna-be chicken strip.....my apologies to the chicken. The only thing that looked and tasted half decent was the fish and chips and even with that dish it was nothing to write home about. What a shame. A beautiful spot, great location, clearly enough staff and yet the service and food were a D-.

Yelp
This place was very nice. If you can sit outside it's a great view. The food was great and service was awesome I highly recommend this spot

Yelp
Really neat place by the water with good food, good drink and good service... We ordered a Veggie Burger, Truffle Mac and Cheese, Truffle Fries, Tortilla Soup with Garlic Bread and a Halloumi Sandwich.. Most items were good but the Truffle Fries were tremendous.. For drinks we had Red Sangria and a couple of sleeves of 33 Acres.... Was decent... The ambience was very relaxing and nice in the Olympic Village next to the water and the Service was REALLY GOOD !! Definitely planning on coming back here and trying new stuff

Yelp
We went to Tap and Barrel the day Rogers network was down throughout the country. They did tell us beforehand that they were not accepting debit or credit cards but Google/Apple pay was accepted. We did not have a reservation and had to wait for about 10 min before we were seated on the 2nd floor. Though the table was inside, there was enough sunshine coming from the large glass windows that we could enjoy the gorgeous day. The guac and chips were delicious. I was delighted to see that the chips were still hot. They are the perfect appetizer for sharing. We ended up getting gin and tonic which was a great accompaniment to them. I am looking forward to going there again!

Yelp
Solid food. Great service. Epic views. Fantastic patio setup even in the fall (lots of heat lamps). Very pleasant evening. Parking was a bit challenging and a bit gross from the elevator in the underground parkade.

Yelp
What a great place for a quick break, after taking the ferry from Granville Island. Their bar service here was very attentive, and the bartenders were very friendly and helpful when giving suggestions for places to visit for tourists like us. The restaurant and bar was very clean, and they had ample amount of seating at the bar, indoor dining tables, and also heated patio seating with beautiful views of the lake. We ordered tater tots tossed in truffle oil, local beer, and I got a Spicy Skinny Margarita. The tater tots were 10/10- they came out so crunchy and hot and the truffle oil was so tasty with it. The spicy Margarita was really strong and had a nice kick to it. They had many locally brewed beers on tap as well. Tap & Barrel was a perfect pitstop for us!

Yelp
Hundred percent, one of the better places to eat in Olympic Village. You sit right on the seawall and overlook the water, Science World, and the hub bub happening in this super trendy area. Makes reservations. Even if its for 2! This place is BUSY. Plus with the staff shortages, this place gets packed. 2 full levels with 2 bars and a huge patio space! We made reservations for 6 on 1:30 on a Saturday. We were early so they didn't have the table ready but then we also waited after our original time. The service was excellent. Considering how busy it was, service was speedy!! I ordered Green Goddess Halloumi Bowl (seared halloumi cheese, quinoa, kale, spinach, avocado, pickled onions, grape tomatoes, feta, roasted pumpkin seeds, green goddess dressing, lemon). Huge portions and really flavourful! The quinoa was a bit older but I still liked it. My friend ordered the rice bowl but it was cold. They took it off her bill which was nice. I also ordered the mac and cheese to take home. It was pretty bland (maybe it would have been better fresh). Other than that, the place was really good!

Alan S.

Yelp
Had the Tuna Poke Bowl today. So good. A really wonderful mingling of flavours. Also, amazing service! The manager (I think), Miranda, was outstanding.

Yelp
Stunning day to get on the patio for lunch (although the yellow umbrella wreaked havoc on photos). We had some of humboldt squid to start which was very well seasoned and crispy while juicy. Really enjoyed it! I was interested to try their pb&j burger... because who doesn't like pb&j? Loved that the chipotle peanut butter was oozing out the side! It had bacon jam but I tasted more peanut butter. The angus beef patty was cooked and I liked the meat to bun ratio. A very solid burger that I'd order again. I also decided to get their truffle waffle fries which were very tasty. The garlic aioli was very garlic-forward so don't plan on kissing anyone after having this!

Yelp
Very disappointed with our experience today. I ordered the beef barbacoa breakfast bowl for $17.95. I'm unsure whether the cook messed up and underportioned the dish, or they always portion it this way, but this was not NEARLY enough food for breakfast. It was literally two poached eggs, about 2-3 tablespoons of shredded beef, 10 tater tots and 3-4 cheese curds. It looked like a child's portion, and I would have been more satisfied with a breakfast meal from McDonald's. The dish was served lukewarm. Tots and beef were room temperature, and the cheese curds were cold and hard (not melty). They also charged me $0.50 extra for hot sauce! Are you kidding me???!?! Who charges for condiments? Do they charge for ketchup too? We have been to Tap & Barrel several times before, both in Olympic Village and Lonsdale. We were always very pleased with our meals, but then again, the only thing I've ever had off their menu was the breakfast burger. It seems their dishes are very hot or miss... We'll be visiting less frequently now. And I've already started calling this place "Crap in Barrel".

Yelp
Amazing place Lovely owners and staff Good ambience Recommend highly Thank you for your awesome food

Yelp
Tap and Barrel is an absolute standout. I discovered this place last year, and it's become my go-to spot. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance--modern and comfortable, making it ideal for any occasion. Now, let's talk about the food. The menu is perfect, something for everyone. I always get the truffle-infused burger, and it is delicious. The flavors are bang-on. The beer selection is impressive, featuring some fantastic local brews. The staff's knowledge and friendly demeanor add to the overall experience. What sets Tap and Barrel apart is not just the food; it's the seamless fusion of great food, inviting ambiance, and excellent service. I highly recommend it for a great night out.

Yelp
Came for brunch. Part of the order took a long time, otherwise good service. Seating outside is nice and quieter but the heat is hit or miss. Can be too hot, or too windy. Food is OK, I had the tater tots. Nothing to rave about but hit the spot for brunch. I'd come for the convenient location and view over the food and drinks. It's also easy to get a reservation.

Bradley K.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our meal. Food and service were excellent. Location is a great and prefect for an after dinner stroll along the water front.

Yelp
Best food and atmosphere!! Had the best experience at this restaurant all their locations always have great stuff and are super friendly and the food is always fresh

Yelp
Called and booked a table on the patio and the overall experience was smooth. I had the glazed salmon dish and was happy they substituted the potato salad for mashed potato without charge. Overall a delicious dish. Patio is still cold despite being heated, so dress warmly if you sit there.

Yelp
Great place for happy hour. We were in rush for our train and server speed up our order and brought the bill earlier. Thanks to him we had our meal and we were on time. Happy hour menu pretty simple Nice truffle ruffle fries, gyoza and specially good was pepperoni pizza. QUICK, AFFORDABLE, NICE SERVICE.

S E.

Yelp
Delicious brunch and mimosas. They put on our NFL game, and gave out prizes for football watchers. Marianne was fun, appreciate the service.

Ashe K.

Yelp
nice place, clean universal bathrooms. the servers were friendly and quick to serve us, even the ones in training. went there for a friends birthday and they gave him a card with a little handwritten note and a free dessert; very cute. food was very yummy, but my fries were cold when served to me. overall good experience, but also quite expensive (paid a bit more than $100 for two people). would go again for special occasions!

Myra A.

Yelp
Fantastic food and great service, along with a real Vancouver vibe! And when the weather is warm, eating on the patio is the brst!

Yelp
They had 4 empty tables, 2 were sunny with view, but they sat us in the cold dark table at the back. When we asked to move, both waiters made no effort to accommodate. Waiter 1: I asked the manager, those other tables are reserved. Me: We also made a reservation, and we are here first. You have 2 perfectly sunny tables. Why can't we sit there? Waiter 1: I don't know. If you see the guy with a tie, you can ask him yourself. We asked the waiter who served our table: Waiter 2: I don't know, maybe they asked to be in the sun? Me: So if we didn't specify to be in the sun when we made reservation, you give us the worst table you have? Waiter 2: Oh I don't know, we have over 200 people on the wait list. Me: We made a reservation, and we are here. You have 4 empty tables. We are the first to arrive. Wait 2: I don't know. That's just what I'm told. I'm new here. Seriously??? Having lived in Vancouver for almost 15 years, racism never crossed my mind. But today, facing the unaccommodating waiters who sat us in the worst spots, I wondered if this unequal treatment related to my race. I should note that each table was the same size. Each sat 4. -- Update: I emailed them as they requested. They replied and asked for my phone number. I thought this was potentially a good gesture from them, but it's been a week and I haven't received any call or further emails from them.

Cassidy P.

Yelp
Omg our server Joy was such amazing energy and so attentive. Will 100% come back and bring our friends if this beautiful human is serving here. All the love!!!!

Yelp
Best Korean fried chicken. My group was happy with what they got. Good music. The service was good.

Yelp
It was so good to be back on a patio again. This location has a great view of Vancouver - mountains and the water near the silver ball (Science World), which elevates the patio eating experience. I was impressed with the staff and seating complying with covid19 dining protocol. Tables were well set apart, all staff were wearing masks, and they kept a safe distance as they served food and drink. I was happy with my food and drink selection. I ordered the crispy chicken Cobb salad, which had egg, bacon, tomato, avocado and strips of chicken that were genuinely crispy. The dressing could've been lighter, but next time I'll just get it on the side. A friend had the fish and chips and said it was good - the portion was the right size (not too big). The wine was very good. I had the 9oz house white for $9 at happy hour. You can get 6oz house red or white for $6 at happy hour. It's worth your while to stop by here, for the selection of food and drink, and for the view.

Yelp
I spent a good amount of time here in the evening with a few co-workers. I enjoyed a mushroom + kale flatbread as well as a Shirley Temple (me == pregnant.) Well, Shirley Temples are definitely made differently here than I am accustomed to, but that may be a Canadian thing not at all specific to Tap & Barrel. Back in the states, we don't use citrus/orange juice; it's mostly a grenadine mix. It was still sweet a delicious though, but just not what I was expecting. The mushroom flatbread was meh. Too much bread without enough toppings. I didn't really feel satisfied and I left a bunch of crusts even though I probably should have consumed them for my energy levels. This location is very large but also seems to be constantly busy. I almost feel like writing this review isn't fair because I didn't get to indulge in any of the creative beers they had available.

Jen L.

Yelp
Amazing service from MaryAnn and then later from Joy. MaryAnn went above and beyond with making sure we had an enjoyable experience! Very nice happy hour, lovely outdoor seating options with a fantastic view. We'll be back!

Yelp
Tap & Barrel is a chain. It's located very close to another chain, Craft. I can see why people would like it as it's right by the waterfront and an easy spot to grab drinks. They have two other locations (Shipyards in North Vancouver and the other by the Vancouver Convention Centre). J works in the area so we met up for a drink Wednesday evening. They have happy hour (all day Monday, 3:00pm to 6:00pm Tuesday-Friday). - Front Street ginger beer ($4.95) - always intrigued to try new ginger beers i haven't had before. This one was pretty good. - Left Field school house ginger cider ($8.00) - J's drink as she prefers ciders over beer. - Craft beer mac & cheese ($15.95) - corkscrew pasta, beer and cheddar sauce, garlic bread crumbs with truffle mushroom arugula. It was basically what I was expecting. The pasta lacked any real bite to them and I could barely tasted any truffle sauce. The flavours are pretty mundane. T&B is what it is. If you like safe and easy, then by all means.

Yelp
Tap and Barrel is a really cool place to go and chill with friends. They have a great party atmosphere with a great bar and TONS of seating. My husband and I went last year. We wanted to sit outside when we went because we were at the Olympic Village in August and the weather was great. We enjoyed the patio while staring at the beautiful water. I ordered a hand stretched pizza with bacon and pineapple and had a Raspberry Crush drink which had disruption vodka, raspberries, soda, lemonade, and a lemon wedge. The pizza was great and the drink was delicious and refreshing! This location has a covered, heated patio that is open year-round. Tap and Barrel features 24 craft beer taps, 14 wine taps, covered patio and an upper balcony. There were a ton of "Ooohs and Aaaahs" coming from me when I walked into the restaurant from outside to look around. I have added the photos of some of the cool decor I saw. Tap and Barrel is located at 75 Athletes Way * Vancouver * V5Y 0B1TT.

Yelp
It took a few minutes to get a table on the patio on a Sunday afternoon which wasn't too bad. My beer flight was good my chicken and waffles were meh (the chicken seemed too small for the waffles provided) and the service was fantastic which saved it. Liv D was our server and she was really good with her timings allowing us to pace our meal well. Thanks to her our drinks and food came promptly and she checked on us with a good rhythm. It was an overcast day on the patio and other than the food it was a good experience. I'd come back again.

Yelp
Came here with a group last week and we started off at the patio and then more people came to join us but because it is after 10pm, the server advised us that we have to move inside for a larger table as they cannot accommodate more people outside after a certain time. We had red wine and pizza - pork belly and egg. Although it sounds quite intriguing, I was not in love with it. It is a bit too sweet for my taste for a pizza. I secretly hoped for just a plain margherita instead. Then, I shared a truffle mushroom and parmesan macaroni with a friend. It was good but I was not blown away. The view was great though. Our 2nd server was great with handling our order, etc...

Mike H.

Yelp
always a great experience; great food, great staff, terrific venue. hope to continue to come back many times.
