What a lovely experience however the portions are small and the price is over inflated. We have the charcuterie board with two meats and one cheese and there wasn’t much on the cutting board to begin with. So it was very overpriced. The artichokes were excellent, but you only get two so it doesn’t really seem to be a good value. The mushrooms were excellent and plenty of them so I would highly recommend that dish. The empanadas were quite large, but they were burnt and overcooked. The atmosphere in Service was quite lovely. The sangria was in a huge picture which was more than we should have had, but it was quite lovely.

I do not know what is so special about this place! We ordered enough tonight to have a judgment for its offerings. The chicken empanadas were doughly, full of starchy fillings. The octopus dish was a complete joke with a few chewy pieces of octopus. I would call it a saucy mash potato dish. The calamari was dried. The pork belly was the best dish of the night. Overall, it was a complete failure on the food front. The sangria was decent. The service was good. The night was salvaged, but it was not good enough for a second visit. With high price and lousy food. This is a place to avoid in downtown Bethlehem ..

Google
The food is absolutely outstanding! I sincerely haaaate vegetables and never finish them- the vegetables I got with the Ahi Tuna, I could not stop eating. Some of the best food I have ever had.

Google
Nothing super outstanding here. The food was okay. The friend I was dining with enjoyed her flatbread. I ordered the paella- while the rice was decent, it was pretty baked on the pan at the bottom and the meat was all very tough. The flavor was decent. This place was recommended to us while on a work trip, so I assume it is not the standard.

Google
Not satisfied with the service and food. Visited late Fall evening. Waited for over 30mins for our sangria flights and all dishes then came at once. Drink orders were mixed up (ones we ordered were replaced by ones we didn’t), server did not offer to correct the mistake right away, and ask us to try if we like what were served. Some food dishes are heavy on salt (spinach dip, paella palomino) but some are bland (calamari Fritos). The few dishes I like are blue crab croquettes and ensalad verde. Food ordered: spinach dip, calamari Fritos, sautéed octopus, blue crab croquettes, paella palomino, ensalad verde, French fries (soggy fries), tenderloin tip( meat was tough)

As a Bethlehem native, Tapas is my favorite restaurant on Main St. It’s my go to for a night with friends especially in the warmer weather. I’ve never had a problem with the service and the food is always great.

Google
Great food - like that you can order France and Spain! Pictured below are the Pork and Chorizo meatballs and a "classic" dessert crepe (Nutella, strawberries, and bananas).

Google
Listen … this restaurant never disappoints but last night was perfect . We were celebrating our anniversary and everything we ordered including our drinks were absolutely delicious . Let’s the mention the bar tenders and severe . Jesus … everyone was super kind and brought our food out in a timely manner . The chef really put his soul into our meal last night . Our bartender Jen was super bubbly and friendly . There was another male bartender with dark short hair ; I’m sorry i didn’t catch his name ; he was so awesome for checkin on us as well , the team work between them both was perfect . ThankYou!

Yelp
I've been here a few times for dinner with friends and it's a nice and pretty restaurant on main street so it's convenient if you're in the area. Because they only serve tapas to share, it can get a little pricey if you are with multiple people but the food is pretty good!

Yelp
A tapas evening. Across the street from our hotel. We were seated at a high top in the bar. A cozy and tight table for two. Not my favorite spot. Started with sushi salmon tartare which was excellent. It came a few minutes after we ordered it and was quite good. Our server started off fine then service went downhill. An order of red, house sangria was put in. It was very good. Ambiance is basic pub. Nothing Spanish about the place. Tapas are typically served in rapid fire, small plate after small plate. That did not happen here. After the salmon our server was invisible and after inquiring about the shrimp, it was 20 mins before we got the shrimp and it came with the pork belly and octopus at the same time. Not good. The salmon tartare was the only memorable dish. The garlic shrimp had no garlic. The pork belly was dry. The octopus was ok but I can't recall it being served in tiny chopped up pieces over mashed potatoes. $113. For the whole meal. Inexpensive. We will not return.

Yelp
Went for dinner with my parents. Not super impressing for the price point. I would rate the overall experience a 6/10. My favorite were the croquettes. If you are looking for a fancy spot to do a big group dinner with shareables this is your spot! I would probably try it again!

Yelp
Had a girls night at Tapas and it was amazing! The food was amazing and came out fairly quickly. Definitely don't skip the Paella, it's the best ever. The restaurant vibe was adorable and made it that much more enjoyable. Also our server Natalie was awesome! Super attentive and friendly.

Yelp
This was our 2nd time here and problem our last. Our food was served before our drinks. Service was not great. The food wasn't that bad. The meatballs tasted like all filler. Cocktail was overpriced. 22$ old fashion for Buffalo trace. Sangria sampler was good. My chicken crepe was too much crepe for too little chicken. So much for that. No pics. Sorry.

Yelp
We walked right in at around 5 PM and we were seated immediately. It was pretty empty at the time but filled up within 30 minutes. The food came out fast and everything was delicious. I really liked the crêpes and the salmon. It was very lively overall highly recommend.

Yelp
Tapas is one of the many restaurants located on Main Street in Bethlehem. If you're in the area, and looking for authentic Spanish food, this is definitely the place to go. They have everything from charcuterie boards, too salads and flatbreads, too tapas and paella. Whatever you're in the mood for, everything is good! My last few visits have been superb. Good food. Great service. Excellent sangria! Tapas has indoor/outdoor seating. Curbside pickup and no-contact delivery are both available. Calamares Fritos - 7.7 Charcuterie Boards - 7.9 Chicken Flatbread - 7.7 Paella Surf & Turf - 7.9 Food - 7.8 Service 8.4 Value 8.1 Restaurant score - 81

Yelp
Tapas on Main was a very pleasant eatery. It is nicely located on the very corner of busy Main Street and diagonally from the historic Bethlehem Hotel. The restaurant has a large indoor seating area, as well as a few outdoor tables. The bar is long and the restaurant has very nice decor..... especially the lighted walls. We sat at the high stool area, across from the bar, and it was perfect. The volume of the music that was playing (Gypsy Kings, Marc Anthony, Spanish instrumental) was at an optimal volume and appreciated. We started with red sangria. They were served in mason jars, had plenty of fruit, and were VERY STRONG..... wow. Our Beef Albondigas(Meatballs) appetizer was delicious. The ramesco sauce, almonds, and manchego cheese made this a great choice. We shared the Grilled Salmon and it was flavorful. The vegetable crab risotto was exquisite and the creamy crab sauce on the salmon added a savory addition to the entree. I highly recommend Tapas on Main for a drink or a memorable meal.

Yelp
My partner and I visited Tapas on Main on Sunday night. Having visited Mister Lees the night before, we were so excited to try more delicious restaurants in such a cute town. When we got to Tapas on Main, the atmosphere was cute and welcoming, surely we thought we'd have delicious tapas to get us ready for our trip to Spain next month. We ordered the olives, the octopus and the burrata. Where do I start; the octopus came out diced up, mixed with chorizo & on a bed of mashed potatoes (?) it smelled like dog food and kinda tasted like it too. The octopus was so overcooked I couldnt figure out which I was biting into next, the chorizo or octopus. Ok so then we tried the burrata, which came with 4 incredibly dry crostinis that crumbled into dust during each bite. Not to mention the burrata was so old it had basically turned into mozzarella... they skimped out on balsamic which would've been my best attempt at reviving old burrata if I were a chef but then again, if I were a chef I wouldn't have served that disaster. Lastly the olives were fine, overly salted and definitely came out of can but whatever. Our drinks were made from premixes and after all that I had ended up spending $90 for the tab and was still hungry. We then went to Urbano hoping for a better meal. They brought out chips that were delicious and we were in higher spirits after our doing tapa experience. We then ordered chicken tacos, they came out and the dish again looked like dog food. My bf mentioned that this restaurant HAD to be owned by the same restaurant group which we came to find out that we were in fact correct. The tacos weren't even mildly authentic and for some reasons were soaked in bbq sauce..... I don't think i've ever in my life had a chicken taco covered in bbq sauce. I'm so disappointed with this experience & would be embarrassed to be serving that quality of food for the prices that were charged. I truly have never felt the need to write a review about any restaurant but these two places need to make efforts to improve their quality & I don't want others to be as disappointed as we were. Whoever wrote reviews saying this place was good is lying. Please don't waste your time at tapas on main OR Urbano and instead go visit Bolete, Wonder Kitchen, Mister Lees or literally Wawa would've been a better dinner than this atrocity.

Adam F.

Yelp
I'm giving this one a 3 star review, although my distaste for this ownership group makes me want to give it a lower rating. Everything here is "meh", at best. Terrible service. Popular date spot because the ambiance makes you feel like you're at a much higher quality restaurant. This restaurant is owned by the same people who several other Lehigh Valley restaurants and they're single handedly ruining a local food scene that usually punches above its weight class. Everytime this ownership group opens a new restaurant, they pull out all the stops for 6-12 months to build a great reputation; then they immediately start changing everyone for more cost effective alternatives that sharply detract from the overall quality. I hope the owners sell all their restaurants and go far, far away.

Yelp
Took a ride to Bethlehem Pa and ended up here for dinner. Service was very good and very friendly. We had a beer salad that was good and beef tips as appetizers. The beef tips were cooked too much and came out well done. Very hard to even chew. Flavor was a bit blah. Portions are plentiful but overall the food is mediocre at best. One and done for us.

Syd P.

Yelp
Waited nearly 45 minutes for brunch. Was told the kitchen was backed up, but there were very little customers there. Waitress failed to check up on us or ask if we needed refills the entirety of the wait. Food was okay. Perhaps it's better for dinner, but I wouldn't go there for brunch if you were considering

Yelp
The staff flicker around the room as if they have nothing to do. The hospitality business is disgraceful these days. I want to re-Wind time and return to a space of elegance and rapaciousness. @LVERX

Chris F.

Yelp
We had very good service in the ambience is pretty cool. My wife and son both got savory crêpes which they enjoyed. The French dip crêpe could have used a little little bit more base for flavor. I ordered one of the paella dishes and unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. It was very salty lacked any true flavor and the seafood was microscopic. I would go again, but I would probably order a crêpe.

Yelp
Its actually 4.5 as its on street parking in a busy city center so parking might be tough if you don't ambulate well. On food and originality alone it would be a 4.8+. Located in Bethlehem, Pa at 500 Main St. Tapas is a Spanish themed restaurant. It has some very interesting dishes. A few I and the wife had were a salmon based crepe with spinach and Gruyère crepe called "The Pacific" and a Cuban sandwich based crepe called "The Cubano" Both were delicious. The flavors blended well with the perfectly made crepes. It's fairly small. Cozy atmosphere. The wait staff is young, polite and reasonably attentive. I wasn't there when it was busy though (Tuesday afternoon). I'll have to come back on a Friday night and see how it works. It's reasonably priced by todays standards. The crepes were about $30. With tax and tip $40. With only one visit I can tell you I'll be back for a second. This seems quite a find. If you're in the area I'd suggest giving it a try.

Janya B.

Yelp
I've enjoyed this restaurant in the past, but my recent visits have been disappointing. On two separate occasions, I experienced bad service, with long waits for basic things like water. Despite multiple staff members being available, they were more interested in chatting at the bar than attending to customers. The food was mediocre and overpriced, which, combined with the lackluster service, has left me with no desire to return.

Yelp
Ehhhh. We stopped in based on a recommendation on a Wednesday around 5ish. The place was empty and we were sat immediately. Our orders were taken promptly and the food was brought out quickly. The food was average, with good-sized portions. Our waiter was awful, didn't check in on us during our time, and did not even thank us after a 25% tip. The sangria was good.

Yelp
Have been to Tapas on Main a few times but first time dining outdoors on Main Street. Another great experience. Our server (Steve) was a really nice young man and attentive. We had a cocktail (My wife had the Pumpkin Sangria which I sipped and it was very good. Nice standard pour on my bourbon as well. We shared some small plates including the mussels with chorizo and fries, pork and chorizo meatballs and sautéed mushrooms. I did ask Steve for some extra bread for dipping into the mussel broth. Would recommend all three. Great night to be outdoors and Main St. was alive with lots going on.

Yelp
Have been here a few times and never been disappointed. Great service and tapas. The sangria are amazing. I've tried to recreate their secret recipes and have yet to figure it out lol. Definitely recommend

Yelp
Thinking back on this, this place is awful. People in this small town have no idea what tapas are supposed to be so they don't know any better. This restaurant takes advantage of that and provides their guests with lousy food and drinks at a ridiculous price. I would never in a million years come here again. It is horrible.

Chattycathy M.

Yelp
This was my dinner. This is a picture before I even took a bite. The main course was steak with a side of alfredo noodles. This also came with an appetizer which fit on a potato chip. The dessert also was included which was so small I had to pay for ice cream with it. Total bill $40. I will never ever set foot in that restaurant again. Even the waiter commented about it to us. I was a party of two and we both received the same deplorable meal. My friend refused to eat the pasta because even with sprinkling salt upon it, it was tasteless. We paid our bill and went somewhere else for dinner.

Yelp
What a great restaurant! The tapas are delicious! They had live music which was so fun! The atmosphere is lively and energetic. Our waitress was spot on! Quick to serve us and all of our selections from the menu were delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Jay K.

Yelp
Very good food. My girlfriend and I went as there was some sort of festival happening. Whoever played the music played some very good and classic music. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Perfect birthday dinner! Such a warm atmosphere on a snowy night. The manager was fantastic. The food outstanding ..pork belly that just melted in your mouth! Even a special birthday inscribed dessert. Thank you for making it a memorable birthday!

Matt W.

Yelp
We had a family dinner tonight at Tapas on Main. Things started out OK but we had a major issue. My son ordered the French onion soup and a few bites in he discovered a beetle cooked in the broth! Naturally we told the waitress. She apologized and took the soup back and offered to give him a new one. Uh... no!!! So she said we will take it off your bill. I asked to see the manager. She came over and suggested that the beetle had flown in to the soup. Since it was under the cheese that would have been a neat trick! I told her this isn't just like the order was wrong or something wasn't cooked properly...this is a department of health issue! She begrudgingly took off the price off of a flatbread that my son had also ordered. I said so that's it? Yep that's it! There are many better choices in downtown Bethlehem. The other food (without beetles) was just meh. In particular I would not order the paella. The chicken and steak were tough! Not good!

Tim M.

Yelp
Great little spot. Ended up in Bethlehem, somewhat unexpectedly, during the busy Christmas season. Happened upon this place and we were not disappointed. The Grilled Artichokes were great and they were our least favorite dish of the night. The restaurant was quite crowded. We grabbed a seat at the bar after a short wait and decided to eat there. Service could have been a bit faster, but the crew was working their rears off. Another bartender probably would have helped. All of the staff were very friendly. We are already planning a return visit!

Natalia T.

Yelp
Hostess was very rude. Barely greeted us. Had an attitude. We asked to be seated outside when making the reservation and she started to lead us inside. I stopped her politely and asked to be seated outside. She proceeded to give us a glare and took us outside. Threw our menus at the table. Lost my appetite.

Roberto R.

Yelp
Awful now! This used to be good but, once the new owners bought it, it quickly went downhill. Bad food, terrible service, and atmosphere has declined. What a shame!
google avatar

Paul A.

Yelp
Tapas on Main has amazing food, great flavor, smiling faces from its staff and beautiful ambiance. The paella is very very good, highly suggest this place for a yummy meal and greet drinks

Yelp
I've been here twice. The first time, the wait was forever after we ordered. This time, we ordered right away and the food came fairly quickly. However, we order 4 different small plates, all worse than the last. Bland, unseasoned, generally terrible. And I ordered a cocktail, which was brought out after I already asked for the check. And our waters were never refilled. So I recommend going anywhere else. I definitely won't be going back a third time. Ugh no.

Anna P.

Yelp
First time here last week and we really enjoyed the experience. They had very unique flavors of Sangria which we loved. We ordered a bunch of tapas to share and our favorite by far was the garlic shrimp, we finished almost all the sauce with dipping bread. We loved the crispy calamari and also got the fries and croquettes. We were confused when the bread basket had a croissant tho as we expected savory breads at dinner time. Service was great and it was a relaxing environment. Got churros for dessert and these were a MUST TRY, were clearly freshly made with chocolate and vanilla dipping sauces as well as ice cream. Definitely the best Spanish-style food in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
I didn't post originally but I looked up the restaurant because I am trying to recreate their grilled artichoke dish - which was amazing. I saw some bad reviews and wanted to balance it out, because my group of 4 had a great meal. We sat outside, had great service, and loved that we could order from the other restaurant next door as well. The frites from Cachette with Gruyere and bacon were fantastic. Gambas were also delicious. We were actually quite full when they got to the table, but we still polished them off between our party of 4. I think we would have all preferred two artichokes and dissing the croquettes. They were fine, just personally I've never found croquettes very exciting. The vinegars and oils they use from Seasons store - one of their neighbors - are amazing. If you are in Bethlehem or going by, recommend lunch at Tapas on Main and picking up some amazing oils/vinegars at Seasons - https://www.seasonstaproom.com/

Yelp
Have been here once or twice before. Went today for Restaurant Week (lunch) and the food, drinks, and service were all on point. Highly recommend, even better than expected.
google avatar

Caron M.

Yelp
We had a large party with different tastes & ages. Everyone found something in their preferences. The small plates were shared beautifully between those of us who enjoyed that type of dining experience and those who didn't were able to get full size plates of a single entree, and the children's menu was great for our younger ones. The service was excellent & we had a wonderful time meeting with new and old family!

Carlos C.

Yelp
Great food. Stopped by while traveling through. Definitely recommend it. Great service also.
google avatar

Rich B.

Yelp
The ambiance and smells were so good when we walked in, which unfortunately made the food and service even more of a letdown. I ended up getting the pork chops, based on my server's recommendation, but they were a bit overcooked and not very interesting. My party tried a few different menu items including one of the crepes, but everyone said that the food was completely underwhelming. I hate to complain about service, especially because I know what a tough gig it is, and how hard it is to stay fully staffed, but the waitress was unfriendly and unwelcoming the entire time. Maybe she was just having an off night, but it didn't make the meal any more enjoyable.
google avatar

Khanh N.

Yelp
My friend suggested this place and all honesty, I was down for anything. Not going to lie, reviews were pretty good here so I was excited to try their charcuterie board. It was a cute selection but the prices are a bit high for the amount they do give. We also ended up getting the blue crab croquettes as well. They were okay, mediocre to say the least. I didn't see the WOW factor that everyone raved about in their reviews. Overall, I would come back especially for their happy hour sangria -- delicious!
google avatar

Monica N.

Yelp
Very delicious sangria and small plates. The meat/cheese selection, truffle fries, a pork belly were tasty. The calamari was pretty bad though. Zero flavor. Just oil. Batter had zero flavor. The dry lemon they sent didn't help it. We absolutely would go back though. Everything else was tasty Oh and the atmosphere would make anyone, no matter their age, want more light. It's reallllllllly dark in there. The attempt on mood setting is actually unpleasant at night. I'd brighten it just a tad.

clare w.

Yelp
We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. Tonight was the opposite. I will say we had a fantastic server and our family dinner of eight started great. Until my son dug into his French onion soup. Under the cheese was a burnt beetle. The server immediately returned it to the kitchen and informed us that the chef was making a new one! When we politely declined and she told the chef she returned and stated it would be taken off of our bill. Well of course it should! But it didn't end there. We assumed the manager might come over and apologize or maybe offer something else but nothing. When we asked to speak with her it was then suggested that maybe it flew in the door once we started eating! After my husband asked if they were going to do something else about it she begrudgingly offered to take off one other small tapa. We totally understand these things happen and were more upset at the way it was handled. A $360 bill and I doubt we will return.

Sharon C.

Yelp
We received a gift certificate to Tapas on Main. Initially, my Spanish husband wasn't too excited to try it. He hasn't had good luck when American restaurants try to do tapas, even ones in New York and Vegas ("tapas in PA?"). The restaurant won him over, though: big time! He was super impressed with the quality, and even said everything was very authentic. Tapas plates (garlic mushrooms, pork belly with red pepper jam, and chicken chorizo croquettes) were phenomenal. We would order each dish again. We shared a seafood paella, which was incredibly well-seasoned, and the rice still had a little bite to it, which is our preference. There was no socarrat, which was a little disappointing: as we both normally fight over the pieces of rice that stick to the pan. Still, it was clear the Chef knew how to make a paella. We really enjoyed our meal. Pics don't do it justice. My only complaint was the cocktail. I don't remember what it was called but it had gin, lemon, pear: all things I like. And something called Liquor 43. Which as it turns out, is pretty awful (tastes strongly of vanilla). I took one sip and really hated it. It didn't seem like the type of place to send a drink back, but I hoped the server would notice and give me a chance to order something else. He didn't, even though I kept placing it very prominently on the table, completely full, throughout the meal. (I made it a point to feature it in all of the photos, next to the delicious food.)

Yelp
First let's talk atmosphere, It's really dark. It's a great date night or girls night out place. Our server wasn't overly attentive. He could have turned our table quicker with a touch faster service, but we weren't in a hurry so it was fine The sangria was amazing and a nice serving size. We started with the charcuterie trays. They tasted fabulous but were alone of bread and less cheese or bread. You could get a combination of three meats or cheeses. We got 3 meats on a tray and three cheeses on a tray. The accompanying jelly was a nice touch. Probably the best blue cheese I've ever eaten but a little went a long way. The cheddar was lacking the sharpness of cheddar. The scallop dish was out favorite. Those mashed potatoes - I could have eaten an entire bowl. The perfect whip, seasoned well and the sauce took them over the top. I huge scallop topped them. The microgreens were the freshness neededed for the dish. The reason for four stars were the tenderloin skewers that were well done and hard to chew. The Ahi Tuna dish fell flat as well. If I lived in the area I would be a regular.
google avatar

Adam H.

Yelp
Great breadth of options in their small plates. I would swear that the sequencing of delivering them is well thought through. My wife and I ordered six small plates total, with a beautiful crescendo through the end. Every plate was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other small plates!

Yelp
We Waited almost 30 minutes after being seated. After 30 minutes we was able to order food and drinks ( the waiters did apologize for the long wait, it seem as if he was the only one working on Sunday's). We order different tapas spinach dips , eggplant and pork and chorizo meatballs, chicken and chorizo croquettes and roasted pork belly. As far as drinks we order the blood orange sangria , blood orange mojito and the gypsies (all the drinks were water down). Best tapas was the eggplant meatballs ( could eat this everyday) Food 3 stars Exper Server (Christian M ) 5 stars

Olivia L.

Yelp
Don't come here if you have food allergies. Management and kitchen have no idea what they're talking about. They thought eggs and potatoes contained gluten. I think it's very important for the cooks and staff to understand the differences between allergies and how serious they are. Very poorly trained staff. Waitress was clueless as well as the manager. Very unprofessional. Food sucked too. L restaurant

Nancy W.

Yelp
We've stopped in twice for dinner when visiting our student. The menu has something for every palate and we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. They've utilized the space well in these historic buildings. Service was a bit slow both times we visited, but maybe it's meant to be leisurely? All the menu plates and drinks we ordered were very good and the corner location on Main St. is central to everything downtown

Coulton T.

Yelp
Great drinks/food, however cannot say the same for the service. The bartender Hayden was SO rude and miserable that I will be sure to not return and tell others to do the same.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat. I always get the salmon tar tar and pork belly. It's delicious! Sometimes the service is not up to par because they're so busy, but I can understand. I love dining outdoors in the heart of Bethlehem. Overall, I love this place!

Katrina S.

Yelp
We had such a great dinner experience! We were in town for a weekend and we're looking for some dinner. Due to Covid, we just wanted to pick up but no one was picking up the phone. We guessed they were busy so we just went there. It was me, my husband and our baby. I did not think we would be eating inside because I'm very careful about dining indoors these days, but I got there and the wonderful host showed me a seat by the window that was away from everyone else. It fit us perfectly! 2 adults and a baby in a stroller. Our server was just as awesome as the host and recommended salmon tartar to start. We also had pork appetizer. It was sooo good!!! We shared the paella with everything on it for our main course and it was delicious! Even the baby was well behaved the whole time so it worked out. We were so glad we had dinner here! 5 stars for sure! Loved it! Wish I was near because I want to try other dishes!!!

Tudy W.

Yelp
Great sangria a few great flavors. Great atmosphere outside seating in the summer. The service is OK. I have been there a few times usually just get appetizers and sangria.
