first two dishes were so incredibly salty that i can't tell if the later dishes were bland/unseasoned or if they've nerfed my tastebuds. food came out incredibly slow, the table beside us had ordered a jamon & bread which somehow took 20 min to come out....all u have to do is slice and plate it. between our first two dishes and our later two, it took 30 min in response to google's question about whether i would recommend a reservation - i would recommend not coming at all

We had a birthday dinner here, which we enjoyed. The starter with marinated fish was fantastic. Very delicate and flavorful. We also shared a traditional codfish cake. The restaurant elevated it, adding an egg yolk and herbs, almost like a tartare. While it tasted good, there's only so much you can do to make this dish better. It was still quite heavy and oily for me, but that's a personal preference. Adding a side of simple fresh/pickled vegetables would do wonders to cut through the fattiness of the dish. For the main course, we had mushroom rice and duck rice. I thought my mushroom rice was a bit one-note because there was no variety to it, every bite was the same to the end, and there wasn't enough freshness or acidity to balance the cheesiness. Again, a fresh side salad or pickles would improve the experience, allowing you to mix and match bites with different vegetables. For the dessert, we shared a chocolate mousse, it was delicious, rich and airy. It had some salt on top which paired very nicely, even though it was still too sweet. What was missing was a classic tart fruit to cut through the richness of the chocolate. Cherries or raspberries would go perfectly with it. As you can see, there's a pattern throughout the menu here, which is the lack of balance and variety. The first bite might be fantastic, but it loses novelty and becomes boring too quickly. A few extremely simple changes would make the dining experience that much better. Aside from the food, the place was cozy, and the staff was extremely attentive and polite. I didn't mind the 5% optional tip but it seems tourist-oriented, as the menu prices are already on the higher end.

The atmosphere and the food was not bad, not the best but not the worst. We had a great time until the server who came with the card reader included the 5% tip without asking me if I wanted to tip in first place. I was happy to tip in the beginning but that action just put a sour taste in my mouth. Maybe it would be better if the staff could ask if we want to tip as Portugal doesn’t have tipping culture in the first place.

I had higher expectations since the restaurant is very well renowned. They use prime ingredients indeed, but i did find it too expensive for the offer. I liked the Tuna-wasabi starter a lot,then the mussels did not pair to well with the smoky sauce, they didn't have many vegetarian options, but the few I had were just ok. Excellent service tho, there's an encouraged tip of 5% in the bill.

I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Tapisco Lisboa. The food was absolutely amazing, from appetizers to desserts. The service was also excellent, we came in without a reservation and waited maybe about 5-10 minutes only.

High energy place, many people for lunch and specially dinner. It's a cool place, through a corridor with both tables and counter seats. Food is good, not in big quantities and on the higher price range. Modernized versions of some traditional portuguese dishes, with some spanish inspiration and influences as well. Friendly and attentive service, for me thats the big strength.

I had found this place on a couple of lists when planning my trip to Lisbon, so I decided to walk in one evening for dinner. I was seated at the bar where you could watch the staff creating each dish. The decor here is very lovely and inviting with its bright red and wooden notesz The waiter suggested that I add the octopus salad to my order and he was absolutely correct. Let me tell you, when I took the first bite, I was transported to a different plane. Words cannot describe how good this salad was. I'm extremely grateful that my server suggested this dish. This salad alone was worth the trek uphill. Then came the salted cod à bras. This dish was also very good, but I felt like it needed something extra. I'm also willing to admit that I'm not the best versed at what it should taste like but I think justtttt a small pinch seasoning would have made this a next level dish. Overall, an amazing spot for dinner if you're ever in the neighborhood!

Just landed in Lisbon and headed straight to Tapisco for my first meal, and wow what a welcome. As a Michelin recognized spot, my expectations were up there, and I'm happy to say they fully delivered. First impressions: the ambiance was warm and stylish with an open kitchen concept. The staff was super friendly, spoke English fluently, and made me feel right at home. I wanted to try everything on the menu, but I limited myself to two dishes: 1) Fried Eggs with Potatoes & Iberian Meat 2) Salted Cod with Confit Egg Yolks Both plates were visually stunning, but the Salted Cod was the real standout. They recommended mixing everything together, and the result was this elevated cod hash which is completely unique and packed with flavor. It's not something I've had before, and I'll definitely be thinking about it long after the trip. With a glass of red wine, my total came to $67 USD which, for a Michelin-tier experience, felt totally fair. Would I come again? Absolutely.

I'm not sure what everyone else is eating but this place stinks. Visually, the place is aesthetically pleasing but that was about all it was. We came here on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. We weren't too hungry so we decided to just go with some small items. This is when it all went south. We ordered sparkling water. The waiter repeated sparkling water. We received flat. Fine, he made a mistake. We went with the mushroom pica pau, Prawns al Ajillo, and squid ink paella. The waiter warned us the they use oyster sauce and soy sauce in the pica pau so it can be a bit salty. We're Asian and am very familiar with both ingredients. I also love salt in general so we said fine. Oh boy the pica pau was not fine. It was beyond salty. Again, we're familiar with the ingredients do not sure how they managed to do that. But he did warn us so we took that as our own fault. Then the prawns came and that was super salty. It's garlic and oil, why is it so salty? Then our paella came and it was again salty and dry. And I've never had paella with such frugal ingredients. It was a few pieces of shrimp and some tiny bits of squid. Horrible and inedible. And beyond the food, then service was incredibly slow. We had to ask them to just bring everything out when ready. At some point, we finished our flat water and asked for sparkling again. The lady came to change our water glass. This is water, not wine. If she did that and got us our water, it would've been considered good service. However she swapped our glass then took another 10-15 minutes to bring the sparkling. At least it was correct this time. We do not recommend this place. No idea how it has such a good rating.

I normally am not so harsh in reviews, but I am in shock this place earned a Michelin rating and does not have a low average on Google and yelp across the board. In all my years of traveling just for the sake of finding a great restaurant experience, this was one of the biggest let downs. Here is my experience from front to back: We were confused where the front door was because there was a table literally placed up against the front door with a server presenting wine to a guest. We walk over to the open window and the bartender, assuming we had no reservation, immediately says "we are busy tonight, no open tables." To which we said we did have a reservation and he told us that door was indeed the front door. Upon seating, service was okay while getting water/wine, didn't take long. However I just have to say it is incredibly tight and stressful inside. Not intimate, tight. Servers do not let you pass by them when going to the bathroom, and they are constantly running around looking incredibly stressed out. Our server took no care in explaining the menu which I assume is because they are overloaded. Our "bread with chefs olive oil" came without olive oil and when I mentioned this still took 10 minutes to receive (to which he apologized and admitted he forgot.) However, when my girlfriend ordered mushroom rice and received seafood rice our server ACTUALLY ARGUED with her even though the two of us and even the table next to us (having a similar experience) all vouched for her. Besides all this stress, the food was just not worth it. Nothing was necessarily flavorless, but absolutely not tasty or eye-catching. We had duck rice, mushroom rice, bread, and prawns. Again, I am absolutely shocked this has a Michelin rating. Absolutely will never recommend or come back. Maybe you have to know someone to get nice service here?

Came here for lunch. Definitely make sure you make reservations. We saw multiple people get turned away at the door asking to do walk-in seating. Place has an upscale vibe. Multiple servers float around at all times and tend to your every need. Food and wine were all delicious, nice blend of Spanish and Portuguese cuisine. Wish I tried a cod fish dish but we were too full. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Make a reservation and ask to sit at the counter. This spot is fantastic. We ate through the menu over three dinners. The space is beautiful and small The chefs and waitstaff are very welcoming. All the cold and hot tapas were perfection The paella,octopus salad and all rice dishes were delicious.

We stopped by last minute and were lucky to get a table. First, the staff were fantastic! You can tell the passion they put into providing a great experience. The Iberico croquettes and tomato bread for our starters were tasty and a great way to start our meal. The huevos rotos could have used a little hot peppers to elevate the taste, but the yolk of the eggs provided a creaminess to the dish. The star of the dinner was the duck rice! My wife and I could not stop talking about how pan-licking good this dish was for us. This was the best meal of our entire trip to Portugal and Spain. I want the recipe! For dessert, the flan was a nice way to end the meal and the sweet rice pudding was also delicious (though was uniquely plated). Next time we visit Portugal we're definitely stopping here again.

Excellent food. Tomato soap was next level and the duck rice hit the spot. Service was amazing and attentive. There was a wait but we had no reservation and they had a cocktail window so we could get a drink and hang while we waited about 30 mins.. perfect time

Lisbon offers many wonderful food choices. It seems as you can't go wrong with some of the top Michelin star restaurants around. (Which there are many) I believe Tapisco rises above, offering amazing food, incredible service all at an extremely approachable price. Tapisco offers a lunch service, so if you can get a dinner reservation (which can be very challenging) the lunch options is a great option to not miss this amazing restaurant. Tapisco is in a small space and does not have a "fancy" Michelin star attitude. Instead, it lets the amazing food, attention to detail and attentive service do its talking. 5 out of 5 and be sure to order the Bomba de Lisboa. You'll never think of a ham croquette the same way ever again.

We were looking forward to dining here the most in our trip but we were disappointed by our experience. The service was very slow and there were awkward and very long gaps in between dishes. The food was good, don't get me wrong, but because of the long wait we were left with a sour taste in our mouths. It's a good place to come to if you want to talk a lot and have a very long meal but we had things to do and kind of got bored waiting. The green bean tempura was good but got tiring very quickly because it is fried. I would order this if we had three or more people because for two people, it's too much. It wasn't good when it was cold. Which it got because we had to wait a long time for our food. The bacalau a bras was very fresh and my husband liked it the most whereas I liked the octopus rice better.

Tapisco is the one Michelin star restaurant from Chef Henrique Sa Estrela whose restaurant Alma has two Michelin starts. Chef Sa Estrela's mastery of his craft is obvious and impressive. The food is amazing and service is casual yet excellent. Tapisco is a small restaurant, but it is always full and the vibe is lively.

Amazing modern Portuguese tavern. We were lucky to grab a spot at the counter for a drink before our table was ready and had the chance to view the kitchen - very cool experience. Food was very good and the servers were very kind and helpful. Duck rice was delicious, tuna tartare was the star of the show, and the pan con tomate was also very good. The huevos rotos were the least favorite item - all components were fresh and great quality but I would have liked more peppers and onions or a bit of spice.

I found this place on a Yelp search for restaurants near our hotel. I'm still not a huge TripAdvisor fan. I tried to make a reservation the day of but there were no options so we decided to get there 15-20 min before opening to snag a table. That seemed to be the preferred method as we were not the only ones waiting on line. In front of their door, they heavily advertised their Michelins bib gourmand status. We sat by the bar which faced an open kitchen. It was soothing watching the meals being prepped. To start, we each had a glass of the vinho dao which was only 5 euros. It always shocks me how much more expensive wine is in the States. Then we had the vinho verde, which was more complex. For food, we shared the below: 1) Octopus salad - 5/5 very refreshing with the right amount of citrus 2) La bomba de Lisboa - 5/5 perfectly fried with a creamy meaty filling. 3) Balcalhau with garlic potatoes -3/5 it felt like the dish was truly lacking in flavor. The potatoes were well cooked but I felt like it needed more salt and the spinach was bland as well. Upsetting bc Portugal is known for their balcalhau! 4) Entrecôte: 4.5/5 cooked well but it's almost like they heard us complain abt the lack of salt on the potatoes and decided to salt the steak morel 5) legumes: 4/5 lots of different vegetables with deliciously toasted nuts. Too salty. Overall, I would recommend!

wow, what a cool place....very Portuguese. If you are good with the usual fish then you will love this place. Service was excellent. I really liked the food but my wife wasn't a fan due to the fish but admitted there was nothing wrong. They did a great job of disguising the cod fish. Will dollar go back.

Great experience with our servers. We split the paella and got the fried cuttlefish as our appetizers. Both were incredible!! The paella was exactly what we wanted with a bit of a kick though a little soupy but nothing a side of bread couldn't soak up!! Their cocktails were delicious too! Over

Had dinner reservations here one night and enjoyed our food. The croquettes were delicious and maybe my favorite part. Both the octopus salad and the seafood paella were good. The caramel port flan was the best dessert we ordered (though a bit small). I recommend the crema catalana as well, especially if you're a fan of that dish. The space is very pretty and I think the designers did a great job with the space--lots of warm copper and red tones throughout in a way I haven't seen before. The service was generally good, but something about it came across just a tad stuffy, cold, or just a little wooden. I can't put my finger on it exactly.

Excellent food and friendly service. Well worth the wait. If I'm ever back in Lisbon, this will be on top of my list!

I usually don't rate places, but I wanted to go out of my way to share how incredible this meal was. If possible, you should recommend to sit at the bar so you can see them make the food. Octopus salad was great, bacalhau a bras incredible (best I've had thus far), and the dark chocolate mousse was great. Would recommend this spot to anyone! 12/10

Not to mention the Michelin 2021 Rated sign right up front totally had me at hello. We were shopping this Barrio Alto area and decided to stop in for a snack and a glass of vino. Couldn't pass up trying "Croquetas de Jamon Ibérico" at a Michelin Rated Restaurant. We ordered and ate at their 3 seat outdoor front window bar seating area. Croquettes were to my exact liking. I always prefer them having a more well-done crispy exterior and didn't have to request it. Experience was great. Definitely recommend. Also, consider making reservations for indoor eating. A total must. They are almost always fully booked and sadly saw them turn away many people. Btw, they've been Michelin Star Rated for the last 4 years. Incredible food that is uniquely Portuguese. The portions are exactly what you want. Order lots of things and try the cream catalana.

An absolutely incredible meal full of amazing seafood with tasty local wine at a Michelin-starred restaurant only runs you $50. Too bad you have to fork out hundreds to fly to Lisbon first ;p It's ok, just buy a Chanel bag to recoup the cost of the flight XD Highly, hiiiiiighly recommend the Octopus Salad, the Octopus Rice, and the Strawberries with Olive Oil Cake.

Tapisco was an amazing restaurant to visit. It is a small location, so you may need to call in advance. The interior environment was very cozy and intimate. I sat at the bar, next to the expo, and got to see the magic happen. The line chefs worked like a well-oiled machine. The floor staff was very kind, attentive and spoke English. I had ordered the octopus salad, salted cod, and chocolate mousse. Everything was fantastic. I highly recommend.

This place is a must when visiting Lisbon. They received Michelin Bib Gourmand sign meaning that you can have exceptionally good food at moderate price. This is for a good reason, no doubt about it!! Place is usually packed during peak hours but you have two options: either wait outside and order drinks from the window they have open, to have your time fly by more happily :) Option 2: Make a reservation earlier and go to explore beautiful city and come back when the time comes. We chose second option but drinks followed regardless :). The menu is simple, well described and not overwhelming with great selection of local wines and porto. We ordered: Marinated Olives: We loved their olives. This is always a good start to pair with wine. Octopus Salad: as an avid fans of octopus served in any dish we had to try their salad. It was delicious with noticeable hints of smoked paprika soaked in citrusy vinaigrette. Tuna Tartar: definitely one of the top ones we had eaten so far. Very fresh with radish, chives, avocado and wasabi eggs. This is an appetizer I could eat everyday. Prawns al Ajillo: the biggest ones they are serving. You pay for two pieces, simply grilled but served from heaven. We chose basmati rice side dish which was so buttery and flavorful making itself a perfect combination. Do not forget to squeeze the juice from the prawns heads, this is the best natural seafood sauce ever!! We had a bottle of our favorite Alvarinho to compliment our food. Overall the staff is very friendly and the place is very welcoming, packed with people who came to enjoy the Portugal culture, food, enjoyment. Tapisco will be in our memory for long time :)

AMMAZINGG!!!!! this place had lines out the door on Saturday evening, so we went back on Sunday around 6:30 and were seated right away at the bar. The sweetest hostess seated us and took care of us the rest of the evening. The space had a cozy and Spanish vibe to it. We were so happy to see that they had a great Spanish wine selection. We ordered a bottle of white, from the Rueda Region. We then proceeded to order the octopus salad and Tomato bread with Jamon. The octopus was cooked perfectly and the red pepper salsa that came with it was incredible. The tomato bread was crispy on the outside and soft in the inside, making it perfect! We also agreed to the olives and bread appetizer, which they charge 1.50 euros for, but so worth it! For dessert we went with the dark chocolate mousse and the strawberry shortcake. The mouse is very decadent and rich, with drizzles of olive oil throughout. For a chocolate love like myself, I was loving it! The strawberry shortcake was excellent, too! I highly recommend both. The chef was so sweet and checked on us throughout the evening, making sure we liked what we ordered. Tapisco is a place not to be missed in Lisbon!

I found this on the Michelin guide and it definitely did not disappoint. This place is a mix of Portuguese (hence Tapiscos) and Spanish tapas. I really enjoyed the octopus salad and the salted cod in egg yolk was definitely new for me. It had a really unique flavor with olives on top. It was nice to be able to see the chefs making food in front of you if you are able to snag a bar seat. The waiters were quite attentive and were very accommodating. Definitely recommend.

EXQUISITE from start to finish. Ambiance, staff, cocktails, wines, FOOD. We had two gin cocktails, both were delightfully nuanced and delicious. 5/5 Pan con tomate y Jamon Iberico de Bellota. Perfectly crunchy yet chewy baguette, the freshest most savory tomato puree, of course topped with the ham. 5/5 Tartari de Atum con abacate e "ovas" de wasabi. Hard to stop eating this. DONT WANT TO STOP eating this. Textures and flavors were perfectly balanced. 5/5 Gambas al Ajillo. So salty and lovely, had me licking my fingers. 5/5 Bacalhau a Lagareiro. Classic Dish, beautiful crust on the cod, again couldn't stop eating!

I love this place so much that I went there for lunch two days in a row. It's the brainchild of a Michelin two-starred chef and is a casual place with table and bar seating. The staff is young and attractive, but more importantly they are competent and enjoy their jobs. They know the menu and cocktails well. The first lunch I had there was a starter I have had in Barcelona before, tomato bread with jamón. Every version I've ever had pales in comparison. The bread was super crisp without being like sawdust. The tomatoes were ripe and retained some texture. The ham was room temperature and so unctuous the fat just melted on my tongue. What a superb rendition of a classic dish. Next I had the cool octopus salad, which was amazing. Just the right balance of flavors, acid and oil, and the tenderest and sweetest octopus. Plus it was plated beautifully. Next up was the olive oil cake with strawberries that I think must have been cooked sous vide as they had a gorgeous texture yet retained all their flavor and color. This was served with a scoop of really good vanilla ice cream. My lunch the next day started with an incredibly delicious and well-balanced cocktail, the Majestade. It had rum, grand marnier, ginger beer, and red vermouth. Not very sweet, and oh so good. I had the amazing tomato bread with jamón again flowed by a phenomenal tuna tartare with avocado. I think it even had a little horseradish in it. It was stellar. The place itself is attractive. The restroom was sparkling clean. The food was beyond. I left both times a very happy man.

Tapisco was listed as one of the top results while I searched through Yelp for recommendations. Given the positive ratings and reviews, we were determined to try it out. We didn't arrange any reservations prior to our arrival in Lisbon, so we knew our possibilities of dining here are slim. We took the chance anyway and were lucky to score seats at the bar/open kitchen area. We arrived during a weekday and it wasn't quite busy but I think we would've been denied if it was the weekend. The server who assisted us for the evening was knowledgeable and helpful with our menu choices. His service throughout our evening was exceptional! From the menu, we ordered la bomba, octopus salad, garlic clams, and patatas bravas as our tapas and the squid ink paella as our entree. My favorites were the bombas and the paella. Tapisco's take on la bombas are made of fluffy mashed potatoes with this zesty and flavorful meat mixture that centers the potato balls. With the addition of a light but also very crispy exterior, it worked so well together! The paella was undoubtedly the highlight of our meal. The fresh prawns and the addition of squid ink was the perfect seasoning to the rice. The flavor, in what I can describe, was minimally briny with the fresh taste of seafood. The rice was also cooked perfectly-not mushy and not hard, just al-dente! The server suggested to mix the aioli and rice together and I couldn't agree more! The aioli sort of rounded off the entire dish and made it more savory. This eatery is one of the restaurants owned by Michelin star chef Henrique Sa Pessoa. We chose this place unknowingly that it's owned by such talented chef. Though, while we didn't get to see him, we're glad that his team are doing an excellent job at bringing modern twists to traditional cuisines of Spain and Portugal. We're glad to have dined here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone!

Very excellent food & ambience. If you're in Lisbon you should definitely try to come here. Plan ahead because the waits can be insanely long. We came here without a reservation and waited for over an hour. It's a very popular restaurant! The food is exceptional and well worth the wait. The croquettes are exceptional and definitely should be ordered.

This is a Spanish and Portuguese cuisines combined! It has a cozy and modern vibe, very relaxing while watching the chefs cook your food. Tapas and mojito were really good. It is definitely worth a try! Highly recommended!!!!

My Aunt and I just happened upon this place as we were disappointed we couldn't get into a neighboring restaurant, but I'm so glad we didn't! This place was super cozy and all the staff were really attentive. We opted to sit at the bar and it must be a Portuguese thing to have open kitchens? It was both interesting and entertaining to watch our food being cooked, but honestly after watching the chef debone fish for over an hour I was kinda over it. They start you off with an assortment of olives (yum!) and bread. My Aunt and I shared: Tuna poke: this was really fresh and flavorful. My Aunt even went as far as saying it was "the best" poke she's ever had. I liked that it came with mashed avocado and radishes. Clams: These were packed with flavor and such comfort food. Would definitely recommend. Mixed veggies: Meh. Hard pass on these. Mostly a filler honestly. Dark chocolate mousse: Yum!! I always want something sweet after dinner and this hit the spot. We also enjoyed a couple glasses of their white wine. Can't go wrong with wine in Portugal! In all this was a lovely restaurant and I highly recommend it!

Excellent authentic Portuguese gem. Our service was extraordinary and the food was superb. Went on a recommendation from our hotel that was across the street and we were not disappointed. The mojito is the best we've ever had.

Try the paella negra. Absolutely delicious. Great service and atmosphere. A must when visiting Lisbon.

The fried cuttlefish appetizer was delicious. I am not sure if I have tried cuttlefish before but the consistency was very much like a calamari that was lightly breaded. It came with a cilantro lime aioli type of sauce for dipping. SO good. The mousse de almendra was also delicious. I would perhaps skip on the prawns as they were pretty oily.

We didn't really know what to expect from Tapisco. We were the first couple to arrive, shortly after its opening, on a nondescript weekday. The layout of the restaurant (with the long kitchen bar) was for us, weird. Which added to the "weird" ambiance of this spot. The sorta disjointed service also didn't help much either. But we got over it... ... mostly because the food here is delicious. Everything was done pretty well but we especially appreciated the ham croquettes, bomba thingy, prawns with garlic, Iberian ham, and pea stew with chorizo (guess the two of us were hungry). We would return...

Excellent tapas restaurant (modern takes on traditional dishes) in the downtown area. The food is tasty and prepared with care, and it truly shows. The staff are super nice and friendly. Not much more you can ask for in a dinner place. Reservations are definitely needed.

I walked past Tapisco when deciding where to grab a lunch, and it looked enticing. I like to eat a good lunch so sat down in the beautiful restaurant to eat to my heart's content. The décor was a mix between old-world charm and modern dining. I was impressed. I had plenty of time, so put together a meal that I could be proud of. For starters, I chose the tomato bread with Jamón Ibérico de Bellota as this is one of my favourites. It was exquisite and complemented the Marinated Olives I had chosen alongside. Then it came to the mains. I had a feeling they were all going to be good. The Tuna Tartar with avocado and wasabi "eggs" was delightful and showed off the skills of a master chef. Seafood is so hard to get right so I was delighted when the Cuttlefish Tempura with coriander and lime mayonnaise came and was cooked to perfection. Staying on the seafood theme, I went for the Salted Cod "à Brás" with confit egg yolk and it was the best salted cod I have tasted in my life. I also ordered the Iberian Pork Presa and the Grilled Vegetables with salsa Romesco and they were in perfect harmony with all of the other dishes in my selection. I still had room for dessert, so opted for the Portuguese almond cake with mandarin sorbet, which seemed to be the choice of most in the restaurant. It tasted divine and, along with excellent service, topped the night off. I recommend Tapisco to anyone.

Best meal I had in Lisbon.... absolutely phenomenal. The cuttlefish fries were one of the most delicious things I ever ate in my life, that was the best part of the meal. They were so soft and juicy and fresh. I can't describe that experience you MUST MUST MUST try it. The garlic shrimp was also great and so was the ceviche. TRY A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING! I had the rice with octopus as well - it came in a clay pot. Octopus rice that's what it was called, just remembered, but I wouldn't recommend it... I would have rather tried some more apps of something with egg because the eggs in Portugal are DEVINE. The rice was too filling and even though the flavor was off the chain, it was too much for one person.

A wonderful end to our time in Portugal. The vibe at this place is very trendy yet inviting. The service was excellent - every single person who spoke with us was not only pleasant, but also charming, patient and knowledgeable. I think that is a large part of why I gave Tapisco four stars over three. We ordered a number of dishes. We started with the tomato toast and the jamon croquettes. The tomato toast was simple yet delicious. The seasoning was on point. The jamon croquettes were not something that I would've chosen, but my eating partner wanted it. It wasn't bad, but it's probably not something I'd order again. I was surprised, however, because, again, the seasoning was dead on - based simply on the dish itself, I expected it to be a bit salty, but it was not at all salty! Our mains included the cod with egg yolk and the green peas with chorizo and soft egg. Both were good. Not amazing, not bad, but just a simple good. They were definitely different and included aspects of what seemed to be authentic Portuguese flavors and styles, so I much appreciated that. For dessert we were told that the chocolate mousse is an absolute favorite, but we couldn't help but order the tangerine sorbet dessert. It came with an almond "cake," which had the consistency between a soft caramel chew and flan. I thought the cake and sorbet were very good. Overall, I really enjoyed having one of my final meals in Portugal here. Helped me remember all that I loved about the country during my short stay. I highly recommend it!

This place is authentic Portuguese! Really enjoyed the bacalhau with potatoes. My background as a Puerto Rican really made this dish special. I would definitely come back here. The majestades cocta was excellent and so was the prawns dish. Everything was just excellent! Really good food and it's fun watching the chefs prepare the food.

Food and atmosphere is excellent! However, service and hospitality is low. Would love to come back and hopefully have a better experience.

Food, service and ambiance were excellent. The food was simple, traditional and delicious, and definitely not boring. One of the best values. Small but wonderful choices of wine.

We walked by this restaurant randomly on one of our walks exploring Lisbon. It looked cute from outside and after looking at Yelp reviews we decided to give it a try. Luckily we didn't have to wait. It was around 2 pm. Service was great. I liked the interior. Food was good. The only disappointment was the cappuccino I ordered. Outside of cappuccino, everything was great.

We walked in and sat at the counter - no wait. It was fun to watch the cooks work. We could see everything, so it was a real prep and cooking lesson. The chef and cook all seemed to like their work and enjoy each other's company. The croquettes were delicate and light - a feat. The charcuterie was nicely done - simple and good. If I lived in the area, I would be a regular.

I can't remember the last time my husband waited for a table longer than 20 minutes. Let's just say we waited way longer than that but when you see the food being served here, wow it's good The staff here was lovely to us, thanks for a great meal! Everything was delicious We loved this place!
