Taquería Chanchitos

Omg yes! The tacos were fantastic!!! We were there for lunch and got there they were still making the Al Pastor. We started with the guacamole appetizer and then got the chorizo and carne tacos. Everything was so tasty! The guacamole was a true guacamole! The salsas were flavorful too. The tortillas for the tacos did not disappoint. We got the black beans on the tortillas for both tacos. By the time we were done with that, the Al Pastor was ready so we couldn’t pass it up! So glad we stuffed ourselves. While a little pricy, it is worth the drive up there if you are craving a great Mexican style taco.

Stopped in for a quick lunch with the kids. Beef, chicken and mixed tacos for the kids and the shrimp quesadilla for me, along with guac and chips for the table. Everything was spectacular. Guac was fresh and tasty, all the meat was cooked to perfection and the salsa picante and salsa verde were excellent. Mango smoothies were a great treat as well. Highly recommend this if you're passing by and need a quick bite (service was pretty speedy as well!).

On the way to Jaco I asked the driver where to eat and he quickly said Taquiera Chanchito for THE BEST TACOS, and of course I always listen to locals. We went and the tacos were amazing, but so was the staff and the atmosphere. We got a mix of tacos: Birria, chicken, chorizo, fish, and al pastor and licked the plates clean. When asked, get the black beans on your tacos…trust me here! I would review every taco, but I’d run out of characters. Go! Get off the beaten path of Jaco proper and visit this spot. You will not leave disappointed or hungry.

We visited this awesome Taqueria a few weeks ago and I can’t wait to go back. We were on a road trip and circled back when we drove by and I’ve been salivating about it since. Excellent street tacos of all types and the best margarita I’ve had since moving to Costa Rica. The service is friendly and professional. We loved the first round of tacos so much we kept ordering more. Remember to be nice and not an impatient meany butt whether you eat here or anywhere else in CR.

Food was amazing and service was even better! We ordered every taco they have and they were all amazing! The drinks were also amazing. They had a really cute dog roaming as well! Queso with chorizo was amazing! If I ever traveled back to Costa Rica, I would 100% come back!

The best tacos we have ever had! The Birria tacos are phenomenal! They have a taco with pineapple that is absolutely aaaaaaaaamazing..,,wish we weren’t on vacation and could visit often, this place is the best….very very good…

Wonderful place for great food. Stayed in puntarenas for a few days and wish we found this place sooner! The special drink was amazing!! Great fresh local cuisine and good prices. Save time and just go here, you'll want to go back again!

Really good food! We had fish tacos and shrimp quesadillas, both very delicious!
