Google
Great spot for authentic Mexican tacos. I went three times and the menu has good variety and excellent flavors. Reasonably priced at under 40 pesos per taco, cheaper depending on what you order. It is a no frills place, so do not expect fancy plates or cushions. The space is small but gives you an amazing authentic local experience. Service can be a bit slow at first and since it is a small place it gets packed in the evenings, so plan accordingly. Overall, definitely worth a visit for real local tacos.

We first tried to come here in the evening but there was a queue so we came back the next day for lunch. The food came out really quickly and the server was very patient with us! 🌮 I loved the horchata (milky cinnamon drink) and the portions were decent! I had the 3 I circled! €160 pesos per person with the drink in the end.

Google
Great meal! We had the grilled onion (delicious!), a cochinita polcan and panucho, a lechon polcan, and a longaniza panucho and all were great. The horchata was nice and cool.

Tasty food but small portions and not so nice atmosphere. The waiter forgot our drink and had to be reminded after a long wait.

Thank you for a wonderful experience! The woman assisting us was incredibly kind, warm, and patient. She kindly suggested some delicious options for our order and did an excellent job of preparing them. We decided to try horchata, guacamole, and vegan tacos: chaya kabax and guacamole con maiz. The tacos were served with two salsas, a mild and a spicy, and pickled red onion. After spending 2.5 weeks exploring the Yucatan peninsula, this handmade corn tortilla was my favorite I’ve ever had! We returned a few hours later for dinner, as it was our last night in Mexico and knew we had a great experience here.

If you are hungry and want some tacos in the centre - this place is brilliant! Perfect service, funny atmosphere. I planned to eat 2-3 tacos. I got 7 in final. 30 pesos each. Don’t miss this place for the night smacks…

Google
Went back 3 times. This place is hands down my favourite Taqueria in Merida. Everything is delicious. The filling is ample, and the tortillas are nice and thick. For the juicier tacos, a second tortilla would have been nice, but not necessary. Tortas are nice, but the bread needs a slightly heavier crust to stay in tact when it gets moist.

Google
Disappointing we tried a few different tacos. The pibil was OK nothing to differentiate . The Negro was pretty tasteless and overcooked and the pork belly taco was not pork belly -at all even though we asked twice to confirm it. It was just shredded pork loin and it was very very disappointing. the best thing the meal was lemonade. Good service.

Yelp
Great place where you can choose from meats and items that you can't find in a typical taqueria. I got a polcan (a fried, bean-filled tortilla) and a Panucho (kind of like a small sandwich) with cochinita pibel(like pulled pork) and campechano (not sure what it was but it was delicious). My daughter got this interesting esquitos pibelanes. It was one of my favorite meals here in Mexico. The waiter wasn't particularly charismatic and the ambiance wasn't amazing, but I don't really care much about that if the food is good.

Yelp
This place is great! Great taco selection with lots of options. The margarita was very tasty! The inside is small but cute. I was in and out pretty quick. Great lunch spot!

Yelp
WHY NOT JOIN THE UNION - This small taco shop has excellent salsas, I believe the habanero one is probably made with garlic and onion as we had a similar one else where. It was delicious! The tacos come fully stuffed, we had the pork belly al pastor, and as pulled meats go it was a little dry but it gets served with. pineapple and when you add the salsa it really sings! We also ordered a polcán castacán doradito, basically a couple of real thick tortillas like salvadorean style and fried so they come out piping hot! As they are so thick they suck up a lot of flavor, but again add those sauces and indulge yourself! Would definitely return and try more menu items, but their AC isnt spectacular (it was a single 6" ceiling fan) and there were a few flies bugging us all meal, so slight downgrades for that. Would be great for an evening taco. Definitely worth a try! Happy eating adventures ahead to you and thanks for reading! -John Sito

Yelp
Sadly we saw the photos and the reviews ... we were ready to eat up a storm ... 26/2/2025 ... the site told us it was open ... sadly we were faced with closed doors! So we can't comment on the food ... please check before you are disappointed like we were!

Yelp
My hotel is very close to this location. I have been here twice to get some good tortas. Great for after a hangover or anytime you need good-priced food. It's not the best torta I have had here in Mérida, but I can't complain either; the meat is never dry, has plenty of fillings, and has great flavor. The waiter was nice and attentive. It's a nice chill vibe where you can relax, grab a coke, and enjoy the food indoors. 10/10 I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Mérida. So far, I have had the lechon and cochinita torta, both of which were delicious. 2 tortas + a coke + a tip = 200 pesos. Money well spent!!  You can also get it for takeout.

Yelp
We visited about a month ago and had dinner here on our first night in Merida. I had two different meats and one vegetarian taco. Everything was good. Recommend trying this place.

Yelp
This is it! The smoked esquites are one of the best dishes ever. Every taco hit. The meal was so satisfying and delicious. Service is fast and the ambiance is cute lunchroom vibes. We loved this spot and tried to go back but I think they were having a plumbing issue! Great spot. Definitely best we had in Merida.

Yelp
I was a craving for tacos while we were in Merida and this place was really closed to the hotel we stayed, so mi wife and I decided to go, I had the al pastor and campechano, they were bad, they were just flavorless, even after putting some lime and salsa, flavor just was not there, I was still hungry, so I had a black Chamorro, same thing no flavor, again they were bad, but no taste, so we will not be back!

Yelp
This is the taco place I have been looking for in Merida. They are now the standard I will judge everyone else. We have tried to eat here two or three times in the past. Inconsistency in their hours on yelp and Facebook. The waiter told us they open at 1:00 and closed Monday. Now I know and will be there after 1:00. We started with some cold beers and ordered the queso fundido as an appetizer. The cheese was delicious and melted perfectly. They gave us six small street tacos to eat with the dip. We used the taco toppings to add flavor to the appetizer. Only disappointment was they did not have pork belly that day. I ordered the baked lechon and the campechano taco. The latter was a mix of pork meat and sausage. My wife ordered the cochinita pibil and asado yucateco tacos. With the toppings everything was delicious. Service was good and the prices great.

Yelp
Probably the best tacos in Yucatán! We've tried 5 different kind of tacos and we really loved all of them. Homemade corn tortillas were amazing too. We also got Melted cheese, it was good but I still don't understand how to eat it. I feel that I need to dip something in it like a fondu style but they only gave us tortillas with it.

Yelp
My favorite tacos that I have had in my two weeks of traveling in Merida. ¡Riquísimo! Tiene que probar el taco de campechano, castacán, y cochinita pibil.

Yelp
Favorite spot to eat on my yucatan roadtrip, this place is absolutely amazing!! Definitely try the Cochinita Pibil since it's a local food, but you really cant go wrong with any of the choices. Cheap prices, delicious foods, great hours, and they take credit cards. can't wait to go again on my next trip to merida!

Yelp
Yummy tacos Cochinita Pibil and guacamole made a lovely meal. Recommend - good price. Friendly service.

Yelp
Great tacos in Merida. Can't beat the quality/value! Service was attentive. No nonsense ambiance.

Yelp
El servicio es demasiado lento. It is way too slow. They need to wake up. Food is good but definitely not worth 30 Minutes to get a couple of tacos.

Esmeralda M.

Yelp
Tacos están súper deliciosos! Mi FAVORITO es definitivamente el cochinito pibil! Ese taco está jugoso y con bastante sabor para chuparse los dedos. 100% Satisfecha!

Murat B.

Yelp
Well, I got 4 different versions and all were really delicious. Doradoto and pork belly were my favorites. If you're in Merida make sure you try their tacos.

Yelp
I am always on the lookout for places to eat some tacos and La Union did not disappoint. We tried the cochinita pibil and pork belly al pastor (my favorite) and washed them down with some ice cold beers. Everything was delicious and I'll definitely return.

Yelp
The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it's not much to look at, but the food is 5 stars plus. We ordered the pumpkin seed dip and one of every taco. The only one we didn't care for was the chamarro negro - a little too much charcoal flavor for us. Besides that, it was difficult to choose a favorite. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Each taco was presented differently. We got 4 beers, 8 tacos and the yummy dip for about $17.50 US!

Yelp
Delicious tacos, micheladas/cheladas, and most excellent tortas. Good entradas as well, the sikil pak (pumpkin seed dip) is awesome! A very chill place to get excellent, fresh food. Go!
