Google
I went with high expectations as it had the looks of extremely small restaurants in Mexico. It also had the iconic system of putting the order on paper on your own. But when I reached there, I saw that the place was extremely small. We two barely got a corner to stand and eat. However, a small place is okay when food can be great. Food was served quite fast. I had tacos with nopales and chipotle. The filling of the tacos was really good and tasted amazing. However, the tortillas were mostly frozen ones because they were breaking while eating the tacos. The quesadilla with huitlacoche was amazing as well. In this case the tortilla did not break and the filling tasted very nice. They also have agua frescas and they were also good. Quite reasonable prices.

Google
Nice tacos 🌮 and ambiance fits accordingly. Some tacos not as good but the pastor one is def a must try! Margaritas are not slushy frozen and the mango one was not great, tamarind was better. Beers only €2 which is cheap relatively for EU. Server/bartender/chef (was all 1x guy) was really nice and accommodating!

So simple and nice to have some original tacos

The food is amazing, I initially ordered 5, but decided to order 5 more all for muyself. If you’re looking for a comfortable place, this isn’t your place, but apparently they have another spot on the other side of the block. If you’re coming for a quick bite, this is your spot. The food comes extremely quick and is tasty. Salsa to taste and also garnish. My favorite was the Mole, it was something I never had before. Most tacos are 1,50 with some for 2,00 and a few for 2,50. There’s also a selection of tequilas and mezcals, but again, this isn’t the place to have a nice drink with your buddy or date

Google
Wow must go place for tacos !! They have a 2nd location like 2 minutes from the main one where you can actually sit down ! Definitely recommend if you're in Madrid and want some good tacos. The staff was also very kind. One of the staff brought me water when I was dying of spiciness !!

Google
I liked this place! The tacos are great, the ambiance is relaxed, the decoration is nice, and the service is ok. The quality and flavour of the tacos is similar to those that you would have at family gathering on a Sunday afternoon in Mexico City, where people did not bother much to cook, yet it was good enough to come back every week. I will definitely do! 😀

Ambience: 5/5 (totally love the down to earth style of a small bar with about 6 seating & some space for standing Food: 5/5 (with pricing starts from €1.5 onwards which is super reasonable for the price and taste) Service: 5/5 (for on man show bar. Service is there) Price: super reasonable for such establishment Hit / Miss: HIT!!

Tiny place in the midst of Madrid. Awesome corn tortillas with delicious meats - Cochinita Pibil, chicken mole and the nopales (cactus) were amazing. We also tried the tamales which was a fun experience wrapped in a banana leaf. Good beer on tap and a refreshing margarita hit the spot. Tasty salsas and a great spot for a quick bite!

Yelp
While studying in Madrid, we decided to head out after class was over a do a little exploring, while Madrid can be intimidating at the same time it pulls you into almost wanting to get lost and boom! We found an authentic mexican food restaurant met some new friends drank tequila while preparing for our finals! The prices, amazing the crew like family, the food took me back home, close to the neighboring Mexico. There are two locations for an even better opportunity for all who love mexican food estilo DF!

Yelp
Nice service! Didn't try their food but they had the best michelada i've been able to find in Madrid

Yelp
Not even close to Mexican. Margarita is a sweet store bought mix. And tacos are an embarrassment. An overpriced disappointment...

Yelp
Yes! If you get a craving for real Mexican street tacos while you're in Spain you MUST go here.

Yelp
Amazing Mexican food. Authentic with strong margaritas. I had the chicken Tinga 3 times and the mole poblana 2 times. Good pricing. I went up to ten tacos lol

Yelp
So good! Excellent service and great food! The Conchita Pibil tacos where fresh, tasty and satisfying! I loved the quiet and cuteness of the space and best of all was super close to my Hostel and shopping district! Will definitely go again!

Yelp
A great place to hang, drink beer and most of all- eat amazing tacos!! Everything on the menu is great, and you have a selection of 4 different salsas (from mild to hot) on the counter to choose from. Since it's a super small place, they don't have any tables, only counters. But don't let that put you down, this is a super chill place and the guys make amazing food! Can't wait to be back here again

Yelp
Gimme corn tortillas, juicy meat and spicy salsa and I'm a happy girl. When a Spanish friend told me he knew of a great (and cheap) taqueria I was anxious to try but a bit skeptical (as I am most of the time I hear of Spaniards talk of Mexican food). I decided to trust him and after wandering down side street after side street, ended up at this hole in the wall. We were handed a very simple menu and my eyes wandered directly to all the tacos with the pepper symbol next to them signaling they might be spicy. If there's ever an opportunity to maybe have something spicy in Madrid, I take it. We tried the nopales con chipotle and tinga de pollo tacos, alongside some cheap beers to wash it all down. I loved them all but really liked the unique cactus one. Not to mention, each order was only 1.50 so gives you a chance to try a bunch without busting the bank. Warning: if you do not love spicy food then stay away from the cabbage salad that comes on the table. It's not for the faint of heart. But me? I loved it!

Yelp
Best tacos I've ever had! This place is small and very authentic, with some items (esp the drinks) being hard to find at other Mexican restaurants. Great diverse menu with a choice of 4 salsas to spice it up as you wish - tacos were really tasty and the tamale was out of this world. Service was also good! Will definitely be back.

Yelp
It's a tiny place with no tables. I ordered take away. The tortilla's were presented in a a plastic container. On the bar was a complimentary union salad and mild and hot sauces. Tiny portion. Mole tasted OK. Nice little midnight snack.

Yelp
I needed a break from tapas and pintxos after a few weeks in Spain. Tried the food and enjoyed it. Not as spicy as I'm used to but good flavor and price. Service was good. Gets really busy after 10pm. Foreign beers are a little overpriced but stick with the local stuff and you're fine.

Yelp
Great little spot for hard to find Mexican food in Madrid. The cochinita pibil tacos were my fave and the michelada was perfect. The place itself is tiny with limited seating room but the food is well worth it.

Yelp
Very good tacos, so delicious and cheap!!!! I've had like 12 tacos they are small portions but for €1.50 each that's a really reasonable price! Coronas are pricey tho! But I still recommend this place

Yelp
Overrated, but at their price point certainly passable. The microwave makes the meat dry, flavorless, and tough. I would recommend slathering one's tacos in sauce to skirt this problem. I do, however, have to commend their molé sauce, which is quite good.

Yelp
This is place is great for vegetarian quesadillas. The quesadillas are smaller than what we are used to from Berlin, but at 3€ the price is just right. It's a tiny place and we were lucky to get seats.

Yelp
Wow! This is my favourite place to grab a quick bite to eat in Madrid. I've been to a few Mexican places and they've all been a bit of a let down in one way or another. This place, while it lacks seating and gets pretty cramped, has the most authentic flavours of anywhere I've visited in Madrid. The margaritas are always divine and super strong, and the tacos are just magnificent. The guacamole is lovely, authentic, and the beans taste just like when you're in Mexico. I really have nothing bad to say about this place, except that I wish it was much bigger-- it's basically impossible to get seating if you come during normal eating hours. Takeaway is always a fair bit worse than eating in-- when you eat in, you are provided with various spices and other condiments which really make a big different to the flavour of your food. Favourites include the cactus taco, chicken tinga, and any of the double chilli sign tacos-- the spice is so spot on!

Yelp
Awesome food and drinks. The server was very friendly even though there was a language barrier. Overall a fun place which is open till quite late

Yelp
I can't remember why I knew about this place, but I did. My first opportunity I went there on a 30 minute break. You could almost run past it if you didn't know where to look. I started with the Pipian Rojo and Chicharron en Salsa Verde. These items made up for my recent bad Mexican food experience in Madrid. The juicy pork marinating in salsa verde, the taste of pumpkin seeds among the shredded chicken. I don't need Red Bull to have wings. I need killer street tacos. 2.5 hours later, I was back for more. Couldn't stay away, so I ordered the delicious Pollo al Mole Poblano and Taco Placero with its crispy pork rind and guacamole. I crave shredded marinated meat more than I realize. Edited: I've been here so many times and have eaten everything on the menu. So should you. My latest? The black beans. They're like cake. Mmmm

Yelp
Don't miss this place! Also, get there early enough in the evening that you preempt the dinner rush. The room can handle MAYBE ten people, so any little rush is enough to claim all the seating. Taqueria mi Ciudad is a hole-in-the-wall taco shop run by a Mexican man who knows how to make Mexican tacos...and margeritas. While the tacos are on par with other real Mexican places in town (thinking of La Antigua Taqueria in Lavapies), the ambiance in Taqueria mi Ciudad is dead-on: it's small, sort of dingy, not plastered in fake Mexican decorations, favors stools rather than tables, and is the sort of in-and-out, wham-bam-thank-you-señor type of place that doesn't invite long stays...because it's all about the tacos. Tacos are street food, and while some places make a taco dinner a whole ordeal, with courses and a waiter, etc., this little joint keeps tacos close to their roots.

Yelp
Awesome tiny place for Mexican food for the price. Me and my wife tried pollo al mole pablano, pollo tinga which we absolutely loved. carnitas and cochinita Pibil were excellent as well. The margarita was ok as it wasn't very strong as per my liking but the food is excellent.

Yelp
This was okay. Given the quantity of the food it's not really a one euro sign, more like 2. What was concerning was the fact that the dude didn't have a stove and was warming up food in the microwave. Also, limited vegetarian options :/ Food was certainly good, but not great. The guacamole was fresh but needed salt. The nachos had a bit of an aftertaste. The quesadillas were okay, but nothing special.

Yelp
I would have to say this place was a hidden gem in Madrid. Better tacos al pastor than the other place near by. I had a variety of tacos and some negra modelo beer and was definitely satisfied. There's a slight difference of the Mexican food in Madrid from Chicago but this would be the place I'd go back for tacos here. 2 thumbs up

Yelp
Whoever reviewed this place and gave it anything above 1 star was either high, drunk, or bribed by the owner. I've lived within mexican communities my whole life and know exactly what to look for when eating tacos or any other mexican style dish. I ordered the carnitas and chicharon tacos. Both tasted like crap. Who the hell boils pig fat??? It's supposed to be fried. The carnitas could have been dog meat for all I know. And to add insult to injury they charged 2 Euros for the Chicharon and 2.50 Euro for the Carnitas. I hate writing bad reviews because I have been in the restaurant business my whole life, but this place deserves this review. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE GOOD REVIEWS, THEY ARE VERY MISLEADING!!!!!

Yelp
Everything was good. We tried the Poblana, Mole, Tinga, Pipian, Ancho Chile and it was all great. The 4 sauces they give you are also great. My favorite sauce was the hot and green cilantro. Very much recommend this spot.

Yelp
The tacos are cheap and delicious! What more could you want? Spain isn't known for having the best Mexican food, but I actually found this place on yelp :) All the tacos range from 1.50-2.50 each. They are small (only a few bites) which I like because you can try so many. They come on corn tortillas and are served with a side of two different salsas and pickled/spicy onion yuuuuuuum. My favorites are the chicken tinga and the Chicharron with juicy shredded meat and flavorful sauces. The reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because the bean dip wasn't good...dry and bland. Just stick to the tacos and you can't go wrong! Also this place has a good selection of Mexican beers...Pacifico, Sol, Coronas, Micheladas! Stop in and give it a try...you won't be disappointed !

Yelp
This place has amazing tacos & like every one said very cheap! I've been to this place several times & when my family came in looking for Mexican food this is where I took them! I was sad when my mom ordered the guacamole "Nachos" that it came out as a side of guacamole & tortilla chips. I know this is a common "Nacho" in Spain but I was hoping that it was a real order of Mexican nachos. The nachos were also kind of expensive so just stick with the amazing tacos & their sauces!

Yelp
Webster's dictionary Defines Joy as Taquería mi ciudad. I can not recommend this establishment any higher. My only regret is that my girlfriend could not experience this with me.

Yelp
I'm only withholding 5 stars because I need to try more! We popped in just to try them out and each had 1 taco. Great little authentic tacos.

Yelp
I love this place! The tacos are super cheap (1.5€). Get their salsa picante and spicy onions on the side.

Yelp
whenever we are over this side of town we pop by for a quick taco fix. i'm vegetarian so can only really comment on the cactus tacos, but damn..... a spicy taste explosion! go there!
