Taquería Orinoco

Our food was incredible! So much so, we actually went back and ordered additional tacos. The space itself is very rustic/trendy and while there isn’t a ton of seating, there’s enough. Turnover is relatively quick so you’ll find somewhere to sit. The simplicity of the menu is actually nice, making it easy enough to decide what you’d like to get. And whatever you get here, you truly can’t go wrong!

My husband and I really enjoyed the tacos! The tacos weren’t the only highlight, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were greeted by Pammela, she helped explain the menu to ensure we were ready to order when we got to the front of the line. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant when you come to Mexico City.

We went to Taquerio Orinoco,because there is always a line to eat here so we though it must be good, but it isn't. 1 you have to wait in line to get in 2 the food is not good 3 the salsas and sauces are good 4 the portions are ridiculously small 5 the food here in comparison is expensive 6 the table wobble,and you have to fight to keep the food on the table. We went there wanting to be satisfied and thinking that we would have a great experience.

Pammila was so kind and attentive. She made sure to answer any questions we had and when there was a long line, she promptly gave everyone menus and asked if anyone had questions. She was very helpful. The food here is incredible! So is the jamaica drink. I got the trompo and the res (costras - with cheese). Their salsas are also so delicious.

Great food for the price and a nice outdoor seating option. The line looked long but moved fast. Cash only, and make sure you know what you want before getting to the register. Would definitely come back.

The tacos and frijoles are so delicious!! We tried the Gringa, the Pirata, and the Norteña. They were all excellent! The variety of salsas was amazing! Definitely try the agua fresca de Jamaica con guayaba. There’s a reason there is a line of people waiting outside to get a table.

There was a wait which was ok but for the grumpy man and woman behind us who would not stop complaining. But! The tacos were great- especially the chicharron. The salsas were delicious and went from mild to spicy. I’m only sorry we didn’t have time to go more than once.

Amazing food and very great service! Worth the wait and very great atmosphere. I did order a lot of potatoes because I was unaware that they same with the tacos if you ordered more than 3. However I definitely will be coming here again and would recommend.
