Taquería Orinoco

We've been to a number of CDMX taco joints, including Orinoco. This is one of the better-best places for Tacos [also check out Chetito]. We arrived at Orinoco in Horacio, Polanco about 830pm on a Sunday. It was full and there was a short wait line to order and be seated. We probably waited about 15-20 mins. We ordered 3 Trompos, 3 Res y Papas along with 2 Carta Blancas. Both tacos were very good. Server delivered salsas, then both Trompos y Res arrived within minutes. We enjoyed a Carta Blanca cerveza but ended up bringing the papas home. Service was efficient, attentive and helpful. Atmosphere was "fast food" style. Expect to sit, enjoy your tacos and some conversation with your dinner mates. But that's about it. Designed to eat and leave :-)

This was our first stop in CDMX and it did not disappoint! It opened at 1:00pm on Sunday and by 1:02 there were already people lining up. Omar came up to us online and helped explain the menu and added some great recommendations. We tried one of each of the tacos in both styles, the difference is that one has cheese(‘Costra’) while the regular ones(‘Sueltos’) do not. While both were delicious, I preferred the ‘Costra’ style tacos. Omar also maintained excellent service by explaining the hot sauces once we had received our food and then regularly checking to make sure we were good. Fairly priced for the area and high quality tacos. Definitely worth trying. You will not be disappointed 🙌

Really great taco spot. The salsas are super fresh and the food is legit. We had the pastor (got 4 of those!), 2 beef, and an avocado taco with some fries. It’s very affordable and the service is awesome. Oliver was the man and really took care of us. Highly recommend!

The frijoles and food was amazing. I Ordered food for here which I inhaled and I also ordered some food to go. The staff was really kind and patient with my Spanglish. plenty of seating and good music.

I had an incredible experience here! The tacos are absolutely delicious, but the Orinoco costra is on another level—it’s easily my favorite thing on the menu. A huge shoutout to Marco, who took care of us. He was incredibly helpful and provided top-tier service that made the meal even better.

A must visit taco spot. Ample seating space, quick service and great food. They have 3 main tacos: al pastor, beef and chicharon. I love that you can choose flour or corn tortillas for your tacos and I personally preferred the flour (super tasty!). They bring you a ton of salsas with your food and also comes with potatoes, a great surprise.

A must visit while in CDMX! Get all the top recommended options: the chicharon, res (beef), and al pastor, along with aqua de Jamaica (iced Hibiscus tea). Omar provided super friendly service. I can't wait to be back!
