Went here not that long ago but here's my review. Entering, you get to choose wherever you like to sit, and the menu is not that big, just the front and back, but I'm not complaining since it's much better than deciding on 50 other dishes at other Mexican restaurants in their menu. Here it's not that quiet, but it has a great atmosphere. The staff are friendly and the food did come out pretty quickly like 15-20 minutes we needed to wait, which was nice. Overall great Mexican food. Hope some of ya guys find this helpful. See ya👋

Google
Wow!!! What an amazing place. We loved every single thing we had!!! Tried Horchata for the first time and it was fantastic!!!! Thank you for an incredible lunch. We will be back!!!! More than worth the drive from Bennington!

Google
I usually get tacos here, which are all good (carne asada, chorizo, carnitas so far). But the carne asada buritto was exceptional. If you like California mission style or Chicago type burittos, this place knocks it out of the park. Added bonus is the salsa verde and salsa roja have really good flavor and a decent amount of heat.

Google
Great little hole in the wall restaurant 😀 excellent tacos and burritos- super flavorful! Cute decor and really friendly staff. It was packed even at 8:30 pm on a Friday, didn't clear out until closing time which tells you how good the food is!

Google
Went in there ready and excited to try their food, I come from Iowa. Waiter said sit wherever you’d like, before we even got the chance to sit they told us we couldn’t eat there because my kids had ice cream in a cup. Disappointing and rude guy at the counter.

Google
Loved the nachos! I could only eat half of it but boy was it delicious. If I could give them 6 stars I would. Bonus I went on a Tuesday and got a taco Tuesday discount!

Google
True authentic Mexican. I got three tacos with three different types of meat chicken steak and pulled pork. All were fantastic! Even though the tacos are small they give you a good amount of meat for those tacos. I would say a meal is about three tacos. Make sure you add the sauces that they provide as their fantastic.

Google
Service was very pleasant. I got the Torta de Asada & Burrito de Lengua & must day it was extremely delicious. Meats were very clean & didn’t have hardly no fats! We were traveling back to Sioux Falls & wanted to try a New Mexican restaurant & I must say “ I highly recommend to come and get some real authentic Mexican food”!!! Many thanks! Carlos

Yelp
It was a Tuesday and I had this overwhelming craving for some delicious Mexican food! I enjoy Mexican but this was the first time I actually had a craving only a good sit down meal would quench. I marched downstairs and as polite as I could I woke my boyfriend up to help me fulfill my stomach's current meal dream. Luckily, he remembered it was Tuesday and knew we had to head to this highly recommended restaurant in South Omaha. In a few minutes we were headed there. As soon as we stepped in we knew something good was going to be had. We were seated promptly and given menus. I ordered 3 Chicken street tacos and one Asada and my boyfriend ordered 4 asada and 3 carnitas. Unfortunately, they were out of chicken so I ordered all Asada with the queso cheese. On Tuesdays here the tacos are $2 each. We also ordered some chips with guacamole to tie us over until our dinner. The guac was a smooth tip that tasted fresh and wonderful. The chips were just as delicious and we loved enjoying this before our main meal. Our server came back in a pretty timely matter and tacos looked perfect! Each with a good portion of our choice of protein along with toppings, radish on the side and limes. We were both famished at this point as we salivated at the presentation in front of us. I absolutely loved the asada tacos! They were filling, delicious, and had the perfect amount of avocado and cheese on top! I know I already want to go back!! My boyfriend also enjoyed his different taco choices. He noted the flavor profiles for each meat were delicious! It was a first time for both of us visiting this Taqueria Tijuana and we already know we want to come back again, especially on a Tuesday!! Parking was easy to find parking on the road across the street. The staff greeted us as we walked in, the dining areas were clean and tended to pretty quickly. Our server was kind and professional. If you enjoy street tacos and authentic Mexican food, I highly recommend checking out this gem for their $2 tacos on Tuesday! But, their delicious food probably extends beyond their tacos as well!

Yelp
Taco Tuesday, all tacos are $2 on Tuesday, normally $3.10. It is definitely worth a visit anytime, but to save $1.10 on every taco on Tuesday is really a delight! I got a fried pork, spiced pork and beef cheek taco. The tacos are street taco style. each taco came with minced onion, cilantro and guac , and some lime on the side. They are wrapped so nicely in sandwich wrapping paper. The corn tortillas are warm, flexible and fresh tasting. The red and green salsa served on the side are very spicy. I also got a side of refried beans which I liked a lot because it also seemed to be cooked to perfection. Located at Q & 24, there is a small parking lot behind the restaurant. Pro Tip, you order with your wait staff at the table, and they give you a check number. When you are ready to leave, take your check number to the front desk. This is really efficient, so you can settle your bill on your own time, and not have to wait for the wait staff to bring your bill, run your cash or card, wait some more ... I like this business model for fast casual dining. I've started my 24 Ave S food tour starting at Q and ending up at Cuming. I am looking at non-chain places to eat. I am convinced 24 Ave S is one of the most delicious streets in all of Omaha.

Yelp
Good customer service . This branch is more roomy . We reserved a table for 7-8 people . I want to try their beef tongue taco but it is available only on weekends . I tried their beef cheeks taco and pork belly taco with rice and beans . The tacos are very good . The bean is refined but lack of taste and no melted cheese inside . My friends order some Mexican rice drink and a grapefruit drinks. All taste great!! Would like to come back to try other menu items next time .

Yelp
We went in and ordered for takeout got our food in less than 10 minutes so that was a great start, all wait staff were very nice and helpful. Cute place to go and eat. On to the food, we enjoyed everything we had. Our favorite taco was the marinated pork. The guacamole on the tacos was perfect!! We received two types of sauce, one was green, little spice and very good flavor. The other orange, I'm assuming a habanero sauce was hot which I enjoyed a lot. Would definitely stop here if you are in the area!!

Yelp
Authentic, delicious, and fast. We love this spot! The food is always on point, service is great, and the atmosphere is perfect for a little taco spot. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Did a pit stop taco break on our road trip and man we were not disappointed by taqueria Tijuana - service was great, we ordered right away and it didn't take long for our food to come out. The tacos were fire! Small tortillas jam packed with meat and guacamole - oof my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Know when you order any extras or sides it's quite a hearty amount. The agua frescas were delicious as well.

Yelp
I wanted to like this more than I actually did. The chicken was flavorful but the rest of the meats were very dry. The burrito was pretty dry and tasteless and I threw half of my $50 order away. Bummer. Pina was good as always but I can't see myself coming back for anything else. The birria was a little spicy for my taste and didn't even include consommé. Was a letdown for me personally
google avatar

Michael F.

Yelp
First time there. And we tried some tacos, birria, and sopes. Everything was great and it came fast.
google avatar

Ayele O.

Yelp
I went back to Taqueria Tijuana for the first time in over 5 years, so I figured I should update my last review. This time I had the al pastor sope, a carne asada taco, and the horchata once more. Our group did an order of chips and queso as well. The taco was everything I expected from a street taco, the Al pastor was right on, and the horchata did not disappoint. I would probably not get the chips and queso again. It tasted fine, just was not anything worth getting again. Overall the food was good, the server was great, and the noise level was great for conversations.
google avatar

Yelp
You just venture to South O if you want the best Mexican food in Omaha. For tacos that means Taquerria Tijuana. They have the most authentic selection of meats from beef cheek and tongue to adobada. They also have other classics such as pozole. I only had 4 but could have housed 40. Worth the trip and will be back
google avatar

Rachel B.

Yelp
Exactly the taco spot I've been searching for! I got three tacos, a drink and chips for under $20. Yes yes yes! I knew the tacos would be good when I saw the double tortilla! The meat was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I got them to go and they were still in tact upon arrival at home... a huge feat for togo tacos. The salsas are delicious and chips were fresh. They included limes and radishes in the order which I appreciated. Such a cute, clean atmosphere, too. Was pretty busy but we didn't wait long at all. All the staff we interacted with were so very sweet and friendly. Pretty sure they will know me by name soon, they've earned a new regular.
google avatar

Barbi B.

Yelp
I have been here twice and had great service both times. Easy seating, just seat yourself. They come quickly to take your order. They checked on us regularly. The menu is simple and in both English and Spanish. Pretty authentic Mexican food, extremely satisfying, I was so happy with my tacos especially the lengua tacos I can't wait to go back and bring my coworkers. It's not a huge restaurant but not super small either, overall very clean and brightly decorated. I love em!
google avatar

Tim S.

Yelp
This is it. The real deal. Finally found good Mexican cuisine in Omaha. Great stuff, check it out for yourself.
google avatar

Leon H.

Yelp
Really disappointing. The guac i ordered with chips was like a smoothie Carne taco was good, but pricey for such a small taco $3.15 They serve shredded chicken here. Unflavorful. Why not serve chipotle marinated chicken thigh instead?
google avatar

Nancy E.

Yelp
Fast service! Tacos are always a hit. The quesadilla had such a great cheese pull. They have so many meats and traditional Mexican dishes. Parking might be a challenge depending on the time of day you go. So worth the walk, however!
google avatar

Brad C.

Yelp
I knew as soon as I walked in that I'd found the meal I was looking for. When I realized that I my cultural background was not native to this type of food, but everyone else in the restaurant was, I felt like I was in the right spot for good Mexican food. I almost got a table, but decided to stick with my plan to get my meal to go. They took my order and I the wait to get my food was just right to know it was prepared to order and fresh. I had a carne asado burrito loaded up with some chips and dip. The food was fantastic, large portions and great flavor. Very friendly staff. Overall very happy and if I lived in the area, I'd certainly be back for more.

Yelp
Move over, Midwest! I've found the taco haven, and it's like a fiesta in my mouth. The service is riding the struggle bus - not bad, not great, just a solid "meh." But hold onto your sombrero because these tacos are throwing a party that even the service can't rain on! I'm convinced these tacos went to a flavor university because they slap. Seriously, each bite is like a taste bud carnival, and the other menu items are just the side acts trying to keep up. And guess what? For the low, low price of just 10 cents, you can get cheese on your taco. It's the best dime you'll ever spend, trust me. The cheese is like the superhero cape of the taco world - it just makes everything better. So, if you're into tacos that dance on your taste buds and don't mind a side of "meh" service, then this is the place to go. Ten cents for cheese? That's practically a taco tax I'm willing to pay for this flavor fiesta!

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! Out of the places I've consistently visited over the years Taqueria Tijuana has stayed the most consistently delicious. Have never had a bad experience and always leave stuffed and satisfied. Always take my family from Mexico here as it is one of the closest to authentic meals from there. If you haven't tried it's a must! Plus it's reasonably priced with options for all.
google avatar

Charley B.

Yelp
I asked some locals where I could find the best tacos. Taqueria Tijuana was a resounding answer. It's a good one, too. The tacos were served in decent-sized portions. Meat, onions, cilantro and guac. Mild and hot sauce (!) bottles were on the table. They're also available to go. This is a small space, so you may have to wait at peak times. It's worth it. I highly recommend.

Jamal G.

Yelp
i love their tacos. i also loved their service. i also loved their burritos and quesadillas. i will definitely come back.
google avatar

Sahra K.

Yelp
MY GOD I've been hearing of this place for years and finally made it this week. I ordered a sope and gordita that may or may not have changed my life. Everything was so delicious, the service was incredible, and the price was 10/10. Also make sure to try the spicy salsa (orange one) on everything! We'll be back!
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
This place was highly recommended by other Yelpers for good burritos and they were absolutely correct. There are only 2 burritos on the menu although you can customize by having different meat selected or add/delete the other ingredient fillers. It's a traditional sit-down restaurant and service is decent when it's not crowded. Parking can be difficult if you use their private parking in the back. I decided to use street parking since the parking lines are not helpful for leaving and they are extremely tight for large SUVs. The food comes out very quickly and there is no free chips and salsa here. The 2 sauces are brought to the table, one is extremely spicy which I preferred. You pay at the window when you are finished with your meal. Overall, this is a great place for a fast meal that is prepared well.
google avatar

Nicole O.

Yelp
This place houses the classic South Omaha food - which is quality, authentic Mexican food. The food is always high quality and I always order more tacos de pollo than I can even eat! I would recommend to anyone looking for some authentic food with a nice vibe on the inside.
google avatar

Dan S.

Yelp
Came on a saturday ~3pm and the place was fairly busy. I tried 4 different taco's all of which were good Carne Asada Birria Carnitas Chorizo I also tried the consome (a really flavor beef broth/soup) and Horchata (which I always love). I was there was a bit more salsa on the side (I didn't ask for any more) and the salsa I had was a bit spicier (also didn't ask if they had a spicier one)

Clementine A.

Yelp
on Tuesday's they have $2 tacos and it's so worth it! This is authentic mexican food, great service, amazing cuisine. Take your loved ones here for a true taste of south Omaha!
google avatar

Meg Z.

Yelp
We've tried both their original location and their newest spot off of 120th and L (L street marketplace, south of Kirklands) and amazing food can be found at both! We frequently get take out from their west location, and the food is always tasty and fresh. We love their burritos, tacos, and sopas. Several meat options, but the pork and asada are our go-to choices.

Eddie S.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night and got seated right away. Great authentic atmosphere inside and would definitely go again
google avatar

Leah R.

Yelp
A local favorite for authentic carne asada tacos! I love the guacamole topping. It's a unique combo you don't see often. The tacos are simple, but have a ton of flavor. The service is generally pretty quick and they have a decent indoor seating area for dining in. I have gotten food to go and it travels well also!
google avatar

Melissa G.

Yelp
I had no idea Omaha had such a large Latino population but I was pleasantly surprised when we drove by it on a road trip. There are many options for food, but we decided to check out Taqueria Tijuana . It was a very convenient location as they had a parking lot available and plenty of tables available. We ordered some arepas with different toppings and were really good. Basic food made to order and made well. The prices were super reasonable and the service was fast and polite. Great option for a quick lunch or something to fill the arepa cravings!
google avatar

Wade K.

Yelp
Our favorite street taco place in the heart of South Omaha. If you are looking for chips and salsa, Tex-mex and the like, go somewhere else, they only serve blistered cerranos, carrots and radishes here. The decor is non-assuming and casual which makes for a relaxed lunch with friends. Service most of time is quick, when it is not there is plenty of fútbol, soap operas or 80s Spanish music videos to pass the time. Food is great, their house salsas can bring the heat. We only get two things here. Tacos and sopas. Tacos al pastor and steak sopas along with a Mexican Coke. One of our top daily lunch spots when we are out and about.
google avatar

Daniel C.

Yelp
Food here is authentic taco shop status. The burritos are huge with great taste and plenty of meat. The service is good they have nice wait staff. I recommend this place
google avatar

Matthew P.

Yelp
The food was top notch, the asada tacos were the best I've ever had! The ambiance is perfect and so was the service. Nothing like walking around south Omaha after having some great tacos
google avatar

Kimberle B.

Yelp
I have been here quite a few times! I always get a carne asada Gordita and tacos. I love that the tortilla for the gordita has a crunch on the outside but still soft on the inside, it's filled with meat of your choice, crema, queso fresco, and lettuce. I always enjoy the red salsa it's spicy but has flavor, although this time it was less spicy but still good. As always the tacos were great, this is the only taco place that I found that adds guacamole to their tacos and I'm here for it!
google avatar

Yesenia F.

Yelp
This has to be my favorite taco spot in Omaha! The food is always amazing. The service is always great and quick, the waitresses are always too kind. Cheap tacos, Great Agua Frescas and they alway take the extra mile to decorate for every Holliday making the ambiance fantastic. This is always a go to spot in Omaha.
google avatar

Cindy H.

Yelp
THE BEST ASADA TACOS OF MY LIFE. I love the flavor, the cut, the crispy edges, the way it FILLED the tortilla. And the red salsa? The best I've had also. But it's not for the weary who can't handle spicy. It's a hurt so good kind of salsa. We enjoyed it so much that we got 16 tacos to go. Unfortunately we were just visiting but this taco will live rent free in my head forever. I hope one day to return and taste this again!
google avatar

Andrew R.

Yelp
Moved from Texas & was looking for some authentic tacos, these were pretty close. Very homey feeling spot with good vibes. Only thing that would make them better was if tortilla was on the grill a little longer
google avatar

Areen B.

Yelp
The best Mexican in Omaha hands down. Being from Arizona, this place reminds me of my local spots at home. I haven't found anything better in the Midwest to date. This is a MUST visit for Mexican. I had the tacos and they were so good. I'm going go be honest, I did think the guac was a small portion size and it wasn't that great and was kinda watery hence the 4 stars but this place is still the best you can get in the Midwest for sure.
google avatar

Carinna D.

Yelp
I legit forgot I was in Omaha once I tasted these tacos! Their adobada is amazing! I live in San Antonio and for some strange and unexplainable reason the whole damn state doesn't understand the deliciousness that is adobada. Lucky for me, Omaha knows what's up and Taqueria Tijuana is killing it! Perfectly dressed with cilantro, onion, guacamole and accompanied with their red salsa. Their Birria was tender and super flavorful. The consommé was so damn good. I seem to keep dining at places with watery consommé so I was skeptical. TT came through with a rich and flavorful broth that was perfect for taco dipping! Prices are crazy cheap and service is super quick. Can't wait to make my way back in the future.
google avatar

Darcy B.

Yelp
Great and cheap basic Mexican food.. We tried the Asad burritos, chorizo torta, chorizo burritos and refried beans and they were all very good. I was disappointed that we could not get any chips and queso because that was what I was craving but we will for sure return for some quick grub in the future.. Thank you for all the suggestions to try this little place
google avatar

Ted H.

Yelp
The tacos were smaller than I expected, but that expectation was easy to adjust as their flavor (I tried four different kinds) was amazing. The attention from waitstaff was good without being overbearing. I'll definitely go back

Michelle W.

Yelp
I moved here from southern CA. It is difficult to find Mexican food similar to what we were used to. All restaurants that long time residents recommended served wet burritos and tacos made with flour tortillas. Nachos with flour tortilla chips! No way. This is the exception, so far. I will definitely go again. I will also check out more restaurants along 24th Street in south Omaha. Muy bien. Gracias. BTW. I don't speak Spanish. LOL. Now onto finding pho!
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
I wish I had taken photos of my amazing meal. We visited Taqueria Tijuana this past weekend, we were visiting from out of town and decided to visit based on Yelp reviews. The food and service her was both 10/10. Very inviting and friendly atmosphere, we were seated and served super quick too!!
google avatar

Patrick W.

Yelp
What this place lacks in atmosphere, it makes up for in great food! The pollo tacos were good but the standout to me were the asada tacos. The steak was a bit charred and diced into small chunks and so tasty! These are probably the best asada tacos I've ever had. Once you finish the meal, you take your order number tab up to the counter where they look up your check before paying. The cashier was super friendly. My only complaint is not going here sooner. I will be headed back!
google avatar

Lindsey F.

Yelp
Ordered alpastor tacos x3..... delish! Order came up super quick and looked amazing. Served with limes and radishes. Mexican coke too!!!!
google avatar

Miguel V.

Yelp
Can improve costumer service and price on tacos are ridiculous.over all the tacos are so good and a nice place too eat.

Jerry G.

Yelp
Carne asada Tacos x 3. Mango aqua fresca. Pork adobada. Nothing bad here. Only negative comment? They seen to always be out of lengua. Aye muy Rico.

Bremi M.

Yelp
Food is always great! Love getting sopes & a consomé the queso birria tacos with red homemade salsa is delicious! I highly recommend trying it out if you haven't.

Aaron K.

Yelp
My wife and I decided to try this establishment after hearing positive reviews. Unfortunately, we were unable to experience anything other than smells and poor service, as we waited over 10 minutes to be greeted by a server, while watching 3 tables that were seated after we were receive drinks and their orders. Once we placed our order, we waited an additional 30 minutes before making the executive decision to leave. Will not be back or recommend to anyone.
google avatar

Logan J.

Yelp
This spot is great for some deliciously flavored small authentic tacos!! We come here a lot for the Tacos and the Tortas! I highly recommend "Al Pastor" ANYTHING! The tacos are so good, they're small though so I usually order 5 or 6! The "Torta" is a delicious sandwich with toppings and you choose the meat! I always get the Al Pastor! It is some of the best in town!
