I only come here if I get invited to screenings or film festivals. Every time I visit, I'm bumping into someone I know. This theatre has a nice, quaint, throwback feel to it. They have great popcorn. $7 for regular (no refills). $8 for a large with refills. I wish they had a slurpee machine, though.

Had to come leave a review because Tara theater provided such a fun date night!! We were looking to switch it up and do something different outside of our normal dinner and drinks cycle and I just happened across their CineProv showing of DieHard. Tickets and concessions were super affordable so I thought what the hell let's give it a go. Had dinner at Little Bangkok on the way and then got to enjoy an evening full of belly laughs (fun fact - it was BOTH of our first time seeing Die Hard so this was always a running joke). Couldn't have been a more perfect night - thanks to all the nice folks who greeted us and the comedians that made it special. Will definitely be following on socials to keep tabs on what's next :)

The Tara Theater is a nice and clean old fashion movie theater so it creates a nostalgic vibe. The seats were old fashion to as is the movie space so it felt like everyone was very close together and no matter where you sat, the movie screen felt very close. It has several old projectors set up as you walk in which is fascinating to see in person. I was disappointed that they don't serve any hot foods only popcorn, candy and drinks( alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks). I personally prefer a theater with more space overall.

Today was my first visit to the Tara theater. What a treat to find a movie theater that shows indie films and hosts film festivals instead of just the usual Hollywood fare! After the movie, I walked around the lobby and discovered an impressive collection of antique film equipment. This place is a gem!

What a rare find these days! I saw Sinners in 70mm, which was fantastic. The concessions had plenty of alcoholic and nonalcoholic options, including beer, wine, soft drinks, and even mixed liquor drinks. Very fair prices. The popcorn is super fresh and they even use real butter. The seats in the theater were great and sound system was perfect. Tara is a real treat!

I came here with some family to watch a David Lynch film The Lost highway. The quality of the theater was high and had a great nostalgic feel to it. The theater area where the movie played had an aroma of incense and another appealing smell. I don't know if that was on purpose or not but it added to the ambiance of the atmosphere. I look forward to going back again. This place is located in a shopping center and there is plenty of parking.

Love this long time independent theater. Great place for free screenings & some obscure flicks, as well as some popular titles. Great staff, tasty popcorn & drinks!
