OO-TO The Cashmere Store - Lazimpat (Previously Known as Tara Oriental)

Always received an incredibly warm hospitable welcome at this lovely store, which is my favorite shop in Kathmandu. Super array of top quality cashmere products. Anu has always been so very encouraging and patient when I have been making colour and weave choices. I have brought home a number of blankets, shawls and scarves - the latest blanket having been custom made and will last forever.

Beautiful cashmere sweater and scarves collection, for both men and women. Throughly enjoyed shopping gifts for my loved ones. The quality is amazing and definitely the best cashmere in Nepal.

I have no doubt of the quality of the products. However, know that the cashmere here is from Italy, not from Nepal. The styles seemed quite outdated (there is a difference between classic styles and outdated styles). Note that a pair of cashmere socks (women's) was $115. I share this so you understand what level of store you would be shopping at. If you are shopping for a scarf, they have some beautiful choices. The choices for sweaters seemed far less interesting.
