Tara's Lodge, Zrnovska Banja, Korcula - Explore & Book

"On the water's edge in Zrnovska Banja bay, an 8-minute drive from medieval Korcula Town, sits a small boutique hotel overlooking a sheltered turquoise bay. The hotel hosts an upscale restaurant with a waterside terrace serving Mediterranean cuisine, an outdoor pool with views across the bay, and 17 rooms and suites built into the hillside. A natural stone path serpentines its way through lush green gardens and down onto the seafront. Here, Mimi's Bistro and Bar has tables arranged on a covered wooden deck, looking onto a strip of pebble beach lined with loungers and parasols, with waiters serving cocktails and snacks. Paddleboards and bicycles are available for hire, plus tailored boating and snorkelling trips can be arranged. The setting is blissfully tranquil, with views across the sea channel to Peljesac. A perfect place to unwind in the sun for a week or more. Highs The hotel is just steps from a small beach, so you can swim before breakfast or take a sunset dipWell-priced rooms that feel fresh and modernMimi's Bistro and Bar, serving gourmet cuisine and fine wines in an informal but romantic settingAway from the bustle of Korcula Town, but close enough to nip in for sightseeing or dinner - and far from the crowdsGreat for couples, friends, and families with outdoorsy kids (book a two-bedroomed Sea View Suite) Lows We felt hotel food and drinks were on the pricey side when we visitedThe small beach is pebbly and can get crowded - not ideal for childrenYou'll need to travel by road and boat to get to Korcula" - Jane Foster

Tara’s lodge was amazing! Everyone on the staff team was wonderful - all spoke great English, extremely fun and friendly. The rooms are modern, comfortable and clean, and you have everything you’d need on site. The food was great from breakfast to dinner, and all the drinks as well. The beach front is secluded and perfect for swimming. Really looking forward to coming back some day soon. Thank you for a great stay!!

We stayed 4 nights at this lovely boutique hotel. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. The hotel was right on a very small bay with its own beach.. lovely and quiet but connected. Transport links were good with east taxis, sea taxis and a local bus once you learnt the timetable. Our room was spotless with a lovely balcony and well equipped. ||The icing on the cake was the great Mimis bistro with sone of the best food we ate in Croatia. Freshly cooked, great variety , fab wine overlooking the sea. Lots of local produce and staff always wanting to please. Don’t miss the breakfasts either which were great!||We will be recommending to all and would love to come back||Thank you

My husband and I loved Tara’s lodge. It’s a boutique hotel with a lovely view, comfortable beach chaise chairs, comfortable, clean room and very nice staff. Mimi’s bistro served up very good lunch. We were also able to use their paddle boards which was really fun. Location is close enough to the old town. Just a short drive away.

Our retreat at Tara’s Lodge in Korčula was truly unforgettable, and so much of that is thanks to Laura and her incredible team. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless — the reception was warm, the housekeeping meticulous, the restaurant outstanding, and every detail perfectly coordinated. Laura and team went above and beyond in every way. Her leadership, kindness, and professionalism made the experience exceptional, and the team made us feel so well cared for throughout our stay. Tara’s Lodge is a beautiful place, but what really sets it apart is the people. This was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had, and we cannot wait to return.

This hotel could have been so much better. The location is incredible for travelers looking to relax. The staff was attentive and pleasant. However, charging $15 Euros per chair is insulting especially if you are staying at the resort. The food was mediocre at best. My husband and I ordered the Caesar salad for dinner. It was inedible. The chicken was shredded dark meat and one piece of white meat and was not grilled as advertised. My salad was with prawns. They were no more than baby shrimp that were extremely fishy. The salad comprised of white parts of lettuce. Upon check out we told the receptionist about our experience to which he replied he was sorry for our experience and did not offer to deduct from out bill. |Also, the bed in our room was very uncomfortable. The mattress was so worn out, my husband and I slept in between a hump in the middle of the bed.|Needless to say, I would never recommend this hotel. It is a shame because it is in such a peaceful location.

Tara’s location on a beautiful cove overlooking the water was fabulous. The two bedroom apartment worked well for us as three women traveling together and would be even better for a family with two children given the room sizes. The principal bedroom and living room overlooked the resort, the cove, and the mountains beyond.||Marta, Srdan, and Milena made our stay incredible. They made all kinds of arrangements for us, including an amazing boat trip, a wine tasting tour, and a trip to the oyster farm in Ston. They were so kind, patient, and persistent in getting arrangements right for us.||After a delicious home-cooked breakfast each morning (prepared for and served by incredibly accommodating staff), we lounged on the recliners along the beach and swam in the cove before going on our outings. We were able to take a water taxi directly from Tara’s dock to the Old Town, which they arranged for us.||Highly recommend especially because of the staff and the views.

The good bits: Small number of rooms making it an intimate place to stay Lovely private beach onto a beautiful bay The bean bag loungers are so comfy The quality of food is very good. Friendly staff Modern clean rooms and very comfy and large beds. On the TV you can sign into your streaming accounts There are some lovely countryside walks from the hotel Less positive but by no means show stoppers. The rooms are quite small To get to Old Town Korcula is a 40 min walk or 15 euro taxi The dinner menu is limited to 4 main course options nb they serve a variety of dishes at lunch time eg sandwiches and burgers but don’t have them available for dinner. There was a lot a noisy building work going on next door which intruded on your time on the beach. The hotel did not pre warn guests on this - understand that control over this is limited but no one at the hotel could tell us when it was going to stop.

I booked this hotel as the ones in the centre seemed a little tired. The rooms were clean, tidy and minimalist, white beach lodge style. The hotel is right on the waterfront. The bay in front of hotel is huge and very well protected from the winds, it's almost like a little lagoon, they rent SUPs, however when I was there the water was not the clearest in comparison to other places I swam in Croatia. I would recommend this for families with kids. The weather turned one night and I had dinner the beach restaurant, the food was good. It is a short 5-10 min drive to the old town. I paid 15 euros each way by taxi at anytime of the day or night, or 25 euros by taxi boat. It doesn't seem like much but it does add up after a couple days. It was a little short on shower gel with the mini toiletry bottles. My room's windows faced the path to the beach and restaurant which means it lacked privacy as people kept looking in when walking past.
