The Best Diaper Bags for Traveling Parents

"Many love Dagne Dover for its accessories (a changing mat, two different-sized pouches, stroller clips, etc.), but its beloved Indi Backpack also has a waterproof exterior (because, spills) and even the small size fits most breast pumps. It’ll become a go-to for trips you don’t bring your kids on, too."

So, not only do I have to ring a bell and wait to get toiletries (because we're all thieves to Target), now I have to write off the entire grocery section because they don't know how to restock perishables. Oh, and they close the self-checkout after 19:00 or so, because, y'know, we're all thieves to Target. A new disappointment every time I visit. Please, stop giving me reasons to use Amazon. Please. Update: Target thinks it's perfectly acceptable to sell filthy microfiber towels, because we're just dirty thieves anyway...

I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding a recent experience at your 1822 store. Earlier today, I visited the store after receiving confirmation that my order was ready for pickup. I drove 20 minutes to get there, only to be informed upon arrival that my order had been canceled. This was incredibly frustrating and inconvenient, especially as no prior notice was given regarding the cancellation. When I inquired about a possible rain check or alternative solution due to the inconvenience, I was met with an unprofessional and dismissive response from the supervisor on duty, Ms. Cheryl. Rather than offering understanding or assistance, she repeatedly spoke over me and stated that the only resolution would be a refund. I requested to speak with her manager, and she responded that no one else would offer a different outcome. Her tone and attitude were unnecessarily rude and disrespectful, especially given that I was calmly asking for help. Adding to my frustration, I later found the item I originally ordered on the shelf, which made the cancellation even more confusing and disappointing. Unfortunately, due to a family event, I was unable to drive to another store to purchase it elsewhere. This experience has left a very negative impression, and I do not plan to visit this store again. I hope your team will address the lack of communication around order fulfillment and the unacceptable customer service provided by the staff.

The tall kind Brazilian worker was very helpful and kind. I was visiting from outside of America and had no clue how the self checkout worked. Thankfully he was there to help me pick out vinyls. We chatted for a bit and he was a really cool guy who knows his music. I would come back to visit him again. Target, please don't work this kind gentleman to the bone and treat him well. Kind regards, Za Warudo

Google
The guys at the Consumer Cellular department are outstanding! I’ve had consistent positive experiences in the store except for a return, years ago. It’s is pretty well stocked with good deals and courteous, competent help.

Very disappointed with a recent experience I had at the Self Checkout Line. It should be said that I have Asperger’s Syndrome, I could have brought this up, but I didn’t want to make it appear as though I was making an excuse. But there clearly were social cues and communication difficulties that were on display. I was under the impression that one of the registers didn’t have a Cards Only sign and that I could use cash. There was no one there and I tried putting a $50 bill in only to be told at the last minute that it only accepted cards. I feel that the register should’ve clearly said Card Only because it never occurred to me. On my way walking back, I ended up losing my $50 bill somehow. The communication lapse is that they assumed that I said that I had put the $50 bill through the register when I was simply trying to locate it and obviously I was trying to communicate this but I was feeling agitated and nervous. And instead of at least trying to help me find it, I was treated somehow as if I was the villain in this whole thing the more I tried to explain myself. There should clearly have been a Card only sign and now I’m $50 short. Completely unprofessional. Very disappointed.

Google
Pet friendly Target location. Bhazi was able to walk around the whole store and I was able to enjoy shopping accompanied by him. The store had more of selections compared to the most recent Target I went to. It was well organized and had a Starbucks within it. They provided a pup cup for B to enjoy as I drank my coffee after shopping. The store has a large parking which is wonderful. I must say I cannot stand having to look for parking no more than five minutes lol. Other than that again great location near many other stores.

Google
It’s a really good target, big, has everything, also has lots of self checkouts. I found really pretty linen there recently and I only buy their microfiber sheet sets because they’re the softest fabric I’ve ever felt before. It’s also easy to wash and have you seen the price compared to high thread count sheets? Well these are way better and you can get a king size set for about $19 or something.

Google
Worst Target ever. Placed order at 1:20 today. It is now 18:20 and I JUST NOW got notification that its ready. Don't even bother calling- the phone just rings and rings and rings and then disconnects. Not even sure why they bother having a phone. Also, EVERYTHING IS LOCKED UP so any trip there takes DOUBLE TIME. I avoid this Target if possible. The staff is friendly and helpful (when you get ahold of them) so that's why I'm giving 1 star.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
Beautiful, newly redesigned Target with super helpful staff. My cashier was AWESOME. HOWEVER! Pretty much the entire health and personal care department is locked in cases. Took me FOREVER to get what I needed and get out.
google avatar

Yelp
The lines and checkout system In this place are crazy. Not at all efficient. Doesn't seem like rocket science.
google avatar

Miranda Doll C.

Yelp
A tad pricey. I'm not a shopper but I won't lie, the amount of items was cool. Seems to not attract a ghetto crowd either. I'll return! Nice book selection

Yelp
PROS: The staff was friendly and the place was very clean. Prices were good and there was a lot of parking CONS: They were absolutely understocked with merchandise and the despite having over 30 registers only a couple were open which caused a backup with each one OVERALL: It's an okay target to go to and if you really need to get something, than sure, come here. However, be aware of clothing being understocked and only 4 out of 30 registers open

Yelp
I typically avoid leaving negative reviews, but my experience today with a "manager" at Target was extremely disappointing. I attempted to return a product that had stopped working after a month, and unfortunately, I no longer had the original packaging. Before going to the store, I contacted Target customer service, and the representative assured me that the item was under warranty until mid-February and that I could return it without the original packaging. I even took a screenshot of this conversation for reference. When I arrived at the store, I had the product in a cardboard box and my return receipt ready. After waiting in line, the store representative informed me that they couldn't accept the return without the original packaging. I explained the situation and showed her the message from the online rep. She then called for the manager. The manager's attitude was immediately confrontational. I explained the situation again and showed her the screenshot of the conversation, but she rudely dismissed me, telling me to take my phone out of her face. I had my phone resting on the product, not in her face. In fact, it couldn't have been any further from her. She wouldn't even look at the message and kept saying get your phone out of my face, until I had it off the counter. I requested that she make a phone call to resolve the issue, but she refused and told me "that's not happenin" to contact online service again before walking away, muttering under her breath. At this point, I wasn't even upset about the misinformation regarding the return process; I was appalled by how I was treated in front of other customers. I've never experienced such disrespect from a customer service representative before. This incident has made me hesitant to shop at Target in the future; I'll probably turn to Amazon instead.

Yelp
One of my favorite stores. I enjoy shopping at target Clifton. Excellent service. Very helpful staff. The problem is with target circle that didn't issue any rewards in my account since Mar 2024, however I spent over $1000 during last 90 days. Not good

Yelp
Stopped by here as I am feeling a bit under the weather. I want to fend off a cold. We also stopped by to grab more water as well. It's busy. The curbside pickup is really bustling tonight.

Yelp
Update! Target is my go to place for loading up on essentials like toilet paper, detergents..... Target has made a big turnaround since my last review years ago. Customer service is very good. The store is clean. Recently, Maribel had assisted me at self checkout. She was wonderful and exemplifies a high quality employee. Target offers same day delivery and order pickup. A large parking lot is available.

Jade M.

Yelp
I don't usually have a problem at this store but the cashier I had made me feel like she was treating me as a thief. Unprofessional with handling my issues I had. Store managers must step up in making sure their employees are held to a high standard and be accountable. I'll stick to Walmart because at least after every transaction you have to give the cashier an out of 5 star rating.

Aj L.

Yelp
Update: CVS pharmacy in Target no longer answers the phone. Instructed to leave a message. But that goes for all CVS's

Yelp
I was in town for work and needed to pick up a few things. Parking lot was packed as well as the store. Some aisles were hard to navigate from the crowds. Store was one of the messiest targets that I have ever been in. Products thrown everywhere. Don't forget your bags! Thankfully my friend lives here in NJ so brought me some. No bags given out at checkout. I utilized self check out as the other lines were through the store! Some of the self checkouts were broken as well.

E B.

Yelp
I lost my credit card over at the Clifton target and trying to get a hold of someone is nearly impossible, I tried all human resource all and no one picks up the phones. it's crazy. I'm not happy
google avatar

Leanne S.

Yelp
Target is my go to one stop shop for when I need a variety of things. I usually find a good price on kitchen and bathroom products (soap, detergent, paper towels etc). Up and up brand seems to be a great alternative to other name brand items so I am always happy to shop here. The only thing that is frustrating these days is that many simple things are locked up, like toothpaste and deodorant for example. So it sometimes takes a while to find an employee to open it. But other than that, great location.

Larry E.

Yelp
No one EVER answers the telephone when you call. IMPOSSIBLE to talk to a human being.

Yelp
A very nice Target! If we are in Clifton, this is the one that we come to. Lets start off with some of the cons. If you come the back way into the parking lot, it is a trek to get here! Their parking lot is also not big enough... Especially during busy times! The inside can handle it, just not the outside... Other than that it is a typical Target. I have noticed sometimes that they are a little slower in tidying up or restocking shelves compared to other ones. But that is probably due to short staffing... So I will not hold that against them. People, please put stuff back where you found it, it makes the employees job so much easier! Or bring it to the register and let them know that you don't want an item anymore. It is easier to collect and put back form there. Staff has always been decently friendly. No big issue there. We had to get formula a few times from here and we never had any issue. I would like to add that their baby section is sometimes over stocked and sometimes very very understocked... So keep that in mind when you come. Do not expect the world, and you wont be that surprised lol! All in all, if you are in the area, and need to come here, this place is for you!

Yelp
This is the target we tend to go to that is closest to our town of Rutherford. Prior to COVID I'd also go to the Target in NYC on 34th and 7th. It was convenient for small groceries. This location is significantly larger and tends to fill the gaps from our online grocery orders. Often we'll come here for a drive up order. Which seemingly used to be extremely convenient. Especially, for groceries no one ships to our house. Whatever Whole Foods won't deliver. However, it has become less and less convenient. The disorder and the slothful pace of the orders being fulfilled is getting to be annoying. Now hear me out...I get it, people have to go back and forth finding our products with shopping carts and then bring them to us...it is not easily or always quickly done. Sure. I get that. I don't want people treated poorly as employees in Amazon running from one end to the end getting whipped or denied restroom breaks or time to eat just to get me some peaches or a gallon of milk. Of course not. So why then does Target - Rather this target, inform me my order is ready, if it is not? From the time we order to the time we are informed is hours apart. Then I mark on the app that I am on my way, which takes about 20 mins. Only to sit in a random spot because they only allocate 12 spots for drive up to wait 1-2 hours... Why? Truth be told, it's a simple problem and not a world ending issue. I have devices and internet and a comfy SUV with AC to sit in. I'm not really put out. However, perhaps they need to hire more people? Maybe pay them a good wage and they can get more hustle? It is easy to blame post-covid societal issues for this little problem but perhaps inform your customers of a time slot to arrive, give us notification of a spot in Queue, or maybe don't say it's ready...if you are not ready to actually bring it to said customers. Food for thought. I'll say this, they get a 3 because the young folks doing the work are polite and friendly. I only see two of them but when they do get to me. They are polite and friendly. That goes a long way.

Yelp
Stood online for 45 mins .. only 1 cashier at 5 pm .. plenty of employees that could've been working at least a second register.. Instead they were standing April d .. Target in North Bergen is much better..
google avatar

Pepe L.

Yelp
if I can give the check out 0 stars I will I come here Monday around 8pm and there was only 1 cashier working, self checkout closed, lane was around the corner by the produce section... by the way, no managers are available, neither

Yelp
I love target and even though this location is pretty close, I don't frequent that much. However, when I do, they ALWAYS are fully stocked and have everything I ever need. They have a great variety of items including, clothing, food, furniture and electronics. The location is right off route 3 so its super accessible and there is ample parking. Clean bathrooms, a good number of self check out registers and their customer service is always helpful and quick.
google avatar

Jeannette L.

Yelp
Even though all of the stores in Clifton Commons are usually packed and crowded, this is a good Target location. The aisles are always clean and organized, and the shelves are stocked. The grocery section is well maintained and produce doesn't look too bad. Self-checkout is good here; an employee is always stationed there to assist whenever people have trouble. Sometimes the wait on lines can be long, but that's mostly due to customers and not the people working the registers. Good Target!
google avatar

Angela S.

Yelp
Ugh annoyed.. whenever I come here everything is always a mess and nothing is ever on the shelves. Everything is always sold out. Parking lot is also a disaster.
google avatar

Kevin F.

Yelp
If you're a Bergen County resident, this is probably the closest Target to you that's open on Sundays. Either way, this is a great Target location. I don't know how many times that I've seen an item be out of stock at other Targets and it was in stock here. This place is so big it's got two entrances. Self checkout here is also usually pretty quick.

Nazera B.

Yelp
I did a pickup in store purchase for a Christmas gift not even a hour later they sent me out a email saying they don't have the item in stock but when I go online it states it's in stock and that they have 7 of the same items same shoe size now I have to wait until the 29TH to receive the item I contacted customer service and nothing was done for the inconvenience I will never order pick up again this is the second time they have done that to me everyone says target is better then Walmart when that's unlikely they are one in the same
google avatar

Alan U.

Yelp
Items that are shown as in stock online are not in stock. Impossible to get a hold of someone on the phone.
google avatar

Nicolette B.

Yelp
Really nice, big, and clean target. Every time I visit they are always in stock of what I need & the staff are very nice. Saturdays are SUPER crowded! It's hard to get down lanes, the lines are super long, and it's hard to enjoy your experience. The best time I have found is afternoons during the week, it's a lot more manageable.
google avatar

Yelp
If Target has something that categorizes their customers based on spending, I'm afraid I'm in the top tier. I have such a love for Target. I can go in for one thing and some how leave with several bags. They have everything one could possibly need and they stand behind what they sell. I've had returns there that other stores would have given me a hard time about. They also price match with other stores and with their online prices. You can also get your previous purchase amount adjusted if you go home and realize that you didn't spot a price difference w/ online or another retailer. I find that this location is typically well stocked, clean and organized. However, I always go during off hours so I can't speak to how things are during peak times. Associates are friendly and easy to find. I find the quality of most of their own brands are solid. I love my Target sheets more than my high end sheets. They are even labeled top/bottom so you aren't stuck figuring out which way to put your sheets on. They now have so many great lines like Hearth and Hand with Magnolia, Cat and Jack, and Opal House to name a few. With Shipt, I am in love even more. Last night I got several things delivered from Target within two hours. I was able to purchase things like a kid's umbrella, lotion, food and snacks all at the same time. Their prices aren't always rock bottom (but again they price match if you want to put in the time and see what other deals exist.) However, I can easily look past it. This store just warms my heart.
google avatar

Nai S.

Yelp
I have never been to a dissapointing Target other than this. This store had sooooo many employees on the floor, and it looked like a disaster hit it. I think most of that stocking should have been done pre store opening. The back to school section is all the way in the back right hand corner of the store. Its August! Should not it be closer to the front. They only had 4 planners left. The young man in the section admitted that he didnt know where the planners were, and also that it was a mess. He need not have said that, especially if that is his section. I looked forward to perusing the teacher planners like I see my colleagues doing on lune. This store had none. A hot mess. My usual store is in Wayne Go there for the real Target experience.
google avatar

Lia S.

Yelp
This is my new favorite Target location. They have everything that I've been looking for, I'm taking that extra distance just to come her from now on. The staff is super friendly
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Can they take more advantage of consumer. Two checkout open to force you to use self checkout. Every day is like Black Friday as their business is booming and taking advantage of consumer. Truly dislike this store.

Philip D.

Yelp
I really don't know what has happened to Target. The stores in my area are messy and merchandised poorly. I shopped at Clifton on a Tuesday at 11am and was shocked to see how empty and disorganized the shelves and cases were throughout the grocery and cleaning products areas. The home decor areas were depleted of merchandise; nothing compelling to look at. The men's department was a literal mess as if no one has cleaned it in days. Walls are everywhere in the clothing areas and it's like a maze getting around departments. Why are there so many families of mannequins in the woman's department? It's just confusing. Target is losing its Tar-jay mojo once again.
google avatar

Vanesa F.

Yelp
Parking: enough space for you to find a spot. Employees: all helpful from those on the floor to those behind the register. You are bound to find at least one employee in each department. Inside: signs are clear enough from different angles to find what you're looking for. Aisles are not a mess. They're organized. You won't find many variations but enough to give you options.
google avatar

Tony K.

Yelp
This location is PATHETIC! They have one line with a hundred people on it. The line looks like a migration. It's not humane. They treat us like animals in a coral. I will NEVER shop at Target again. I used to spend over 1000$ per month on groceries and items. No more never again. One line with over a hundred people. No lie.

Ingrid O.

Yelp
Management sucks. As a former employee I wouldn't recommend anyone who is need of money to work there just not worth it. Management/coworkers sucks and would overwork you. Countless times customers would disrespect you and they did absolutely nothing. Taking breaks such as lunch use to be a big issue for me since there was "no one to cover my shift" overall you can say it was a big waste of my time. Don't even get me started on the actual store itself because it was always a mess. Overall rude staff especially in HR.
google avatar

Steven p.

Yelp
This place is a joke every time I come here the Electric carts are dead. I got suck behind a lady in the parking lot that wanted to back out and she had to go get somebody to move the cart. This Target is always out of what I'm looking for like my sleep medicine, apple headphones, cleaning products and most of all hand sanitizer. After I come here I still have to go to Walmart afterwards.
google avatar

Megan M.

Yelp
Came to this location for a Nintendo Switch since it was the "closest" one to me (30 minutes away) that had the console in stock. Called the electronics department preemptively multiple times to confirm they had it and no one picked up. When I arrived there, a clerk told me they only had the Nintendo Switch Lite. A few days later and I see online that they have the console/available for in store pick up. I order the item immediately only to arrive at the store and find out I was given a Switch that had been returned because it was damaged. Thankfully, I had a clerk nice enough to inform me that whoever had packaged my order was not supposed to include the item since it had a sticker that indicates it was damaged. They apparently were not supposed to even label it as stock because it is not supposed to be sold to customers. I left without a Switch AGAIN because they had no other consoles in stock. TLDR; Go to another Target.
google avatar

Anna B.

Yelp
I like Clifton's target for it's proximity and convenience to where I live. However, I'm not a huge fan ever since they updated the store. I'm not really sure what market they are trying to cater to. For example, where are all the hair care products? When I find the type of product I'm looking for for my curly hair, there is one option-maybe two. It seems the focus is now on home decor, baby registries, and toys that your child will definitely notice. The store is beautiful and finally having a Starbucks helps, but please have a more diverse selection of products.

Tyler W.

Yelp
This store needs to close its produce dept. They had an entire fridge full of expired milk. When i brought this information to one of the workers they seemed the least bit interested. This is not the first time this has happened. Shoppers be ware of expired food.

Erica F.

Yelp
I placed an online order for pickup at Clifton store. Nine hours later and multiple chats, calls and Facebook posts - order was hung up for no known reason and order was cancelled. Placed a second order and now several hours later, same thing - Store does not answer the phone after multiple calls. Worst experience ever. Do not even try to place order for pickup at this awful store - waste of time - you will never get it.
google avatar

April Bill Q.

Yelp
During crazy times like this we couldn't have gotten a more pleasant cashier !!! Angela Thank you for your time and for being there we appreciate all our front line workers ! You are truly one of a kind !! Target needs to recognize their staff especially you !!!

Yelp
"The Typical Target Experience" With just a few days to go in the holiday shopping season, I decided to take advantage of a few coupons and sales promotions offered by Target. As an experience shopper, I decided to place a few inventory inquiry calls, in order to safely minimize driving distance and time in the melee of local traffic. After three calls with no success - I sought a particular LOL toy for my girls - I asked a live customer service representative to check the existing inventory for the item at all Target locations within a 50 mile radius: all sold out. One day later, I ventured to the Clifton, New Jersey Target location with my eldest for a few miscellaneous items. As we entered the store, my daughter spotted the LOL item which I could not locate just hours before! Could it be that Target's computer inventory was inaccurate? That the Target employee on the phone was simply trying to get me off of the phone? Or, perhaps the Clifton store's inventory is not linked accurately with the main network. No matter the case, I was able to connect Santa with the toy, thanks to Target of Clifton, New Jersey. The only complaint that I have for Target is that their promotional prices in circulars and on the websites do not reflect a discount from the marked price of an item; i.e., when an item is indicated as a $10 off promo, the price apparently has already been marked down by ten dollars, as was the case with the LOL Big Surprise during the holidays. Positives? * Product availability * Parking * Fair prices * Aisle walking room * Friendliness of the sales register employees Negatives? * Cleanliness of the store * Manager attitudes

Yelp
Honestly I never go to target and I kinda know why after going here today. The place was so unorganized and really just a disaster. I came here because an item I needed said it was in stock online and when I got there they had none. It was like pulling teeth to speak to a manager, had to go through 4 employees before one would let me speak to a manager. Honestly I wouldn't shop here again. I just didn't like the atmosphere...
google avatar

Marg R.

Yelp
This is my go to Target. The customer service is great, employees are always ready to help. I made a return today and the process was smooth and quick. I do drive up a lot and they always get my orders correct. The store offers a lot of deals, the shelves are stocked and employees are always seen refilling merchandise. The carts are being sanitized by employees inside. I love that they are open everyday of the week with a good time schedule.
google avatar

Tom G.

Yelp
I sometimes go to the Target in Clifton when I don't want to drive all the way to Hackensack which is a bigger store. This Target is across the river from where I live so I have been coming here for years. Besides the basic department store items they have a good grocery and home goods section. But prices are higher than say the supermarket unless the item is on special sale and you don't need a club card to get it. My main compliant is longer lines due to the lack of cashiers.
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
Went to guest services tonight - great staff working there! Very friendly and helpful to me. There was also an absolutely nightmare of a customer ahead of me and they were super professional. Kudos!
google avatar

Kelly P.

Yelp
I love shopping at this target. They have great sales and the staff there are knowledgeable and helpful. I always have a great experience when I shop at target.

Yelp
Tar Shay! (During the week) This is our go to dept store when we're feeling fancy and don't feel like standing in long lines at Wally World. The customer service is cool, the store is organized, the parking lot is huge and it's in close vicinity to other retails stores and restaurants. I will add, this Tar Shay is easier to shop in during the week. Once, the weekend hits - it can go from 0-100 real quick! You've been warned, so plan ahead and I believe you'll enjoy it!
google avatar

Nancy Beth K.

Yelp
I really love Target. They keep their stock up to date and for a big box store its kept neat and clean. I usually go there for cleaning and laundry supplies. They often have deals where you buy 3 items and get a $5 ot $10 Target gift card so its kind of like buying 2, get one free. They also have a good pet department where I can stock up on alot of products. They have two banks of self serve checkouts that move quickly and always have an associate there if you need assistance.

Chris G.

Yelp
What a mess this store is! Target used to be my favorite and now I no longer want to shop there. Saturday afternoon and one cashier! Really. Self checkout lines to the back of the store. Shelves were a complete mess with products thrown all around. Floor dirty with spilled stuff and even saw employee slip. Went back 15 minutes later and no one cleaned up or even put a cone or anything to warn people. Called and complained about 2 weeks ago and not a single response. Not from corporate, not from the store. I'll pay a few cents more not to wait in a 45 minute check out line and have to hunt for what I'm looking for. What a disgrace!

MigdalHatorah P.

Yelp
Worst target ever. They charge for bags. Lines out the door. Starbucks doesn't give refills. Pathetic
