How Pat Got a Free Business Class Ticket (and So Can You!)

"I went to Target through Chase’s online shopping mall and gained three extra points per dollar spent, making ordinary purchases much more lucrative for my points balances." - Matthew Kepnes

Google
Often waste of time. Repetitively out of stock. Picture shows entire egg section empty. Produce bags often not stocked. This Target seems like its struggling with inventory control and adequate employees.

Chestley C.

Google
Front of the store is absolutely filthy, which is impressive considering it just recently got a remodel. Everything inside is locked in cases. Cashier couldn’t be bothered to look up from his phone while paying. Expected better.

I was trying to get a break from buying items I need online, while in same time enjoying walking outside for a change to do some exercise while shopping. Sadly, this Target has almost everything locked down now, and nobody to come help you when you need something, even after ringing their special "call someone for help" device. As it was impossible to buy anything I wanted there, I returned at home and ordered on what I needed on Amazon instead. I will not be surprised to see that company going under soon, when doing things like this.

8/18/25 Monday very good location inside the Fremont hub. Store is clean n organized. Also inside Starbucks coffee shop.

Google
Shopping at Target Circle has been an amazing experience! The deals are great, the app is easy to use, and I love how much I save on everyday essentials. The store is always well-organized, and the staff is super helpful. Highly recommend it! 🤟🏻❤️

Google
The front of the store was absolutely filthy. The entrance where the carts were was also really bad. I went into the bathroom and it was so bad. I feel like at this point all targets don't care about cleanliness and its really disappointing. How could the bathroom possibly be THAT BAD. There was only one bathroom that was OKAY. This is just DISGUSTING.

Google
The Store is an up skill style merchants, very well managed store clean and, most importantly, organized. Nice new parking spots for pick up. Fast service.

Krishna P.

Google
Love the selection of items. Lots of parking. Staff are courteous and helpful. Bonus, love the Starbucks coffee outlet inside the store.

Yelp
I've been coming to this location for quite a while. Once in a while I get lucky to get a nice staff, who greets you, very helpful and makes eye contact. Now these days very few employee want to interact with customers. Especially the new, young generation. I hope something is done about this. However, the grocery selection here is good and the value of the products is affordable.

Yelp
I usually do drive-up pick-ups here, and Target clearly states that if you don't want to pay for a bag, you can let the sales associate know and they will refund the bag fee. Pretty simple, right? Apparently not. I had ONE item in my order, and when I told the young man who came out that I didn't want the bag, he tossed the bag at me and told me to take the item out myself. When I sarcastically said, "Wow, that's great customer service," his response was just, "Yea." Then when I told him I'd let his manager know, he acted confused and said, "What did you say??" before walking off. Target Fremont Hub management--you really need to make sure your staff know and follow your own rules about the bag fees. It's not that complicated, especially when there's just a single item involved. The drive-up experience is supposed to be convenient and courteous. Instead, I was left feeling dismissed and disrespected. Do better, Fremont Hub Target.

Yelp
my gosh, every time we need to make a quick trip here, it is always a horrible experience. i have no idea how anyone says this location is clean nor organized nor have friendly staff. old dirty carts, disgusting bathrooms, and the lines can be ridiculously long for no reason (besides the workers looking absolutely miserable and have no sense of urgency, even during non busy hours) i am so glad to be moving to a different area of fremont where the other fremont target location will be closer to me. today will be my last time ever stepping foot into this location.

Yelp
Just look at the pictures. This target is so dirty even the shopping cart's There's used Starbucks drinks and trash all over as well
google avatar

Erica M.

Yelp
This location is clean and very organized. Their Starbucks is well staffed and drinks come out fairly quick. As of lately they have had sample stations (kinda like Costco) where you can try drinks, snacks and beauty items! That is a big upgrade and fun to see while shopping away and drinking your Starbucks bev.

Yelp
A quick update! Nothing new to be honest. This Target is heavily utilized by its community. Parking is generally full during the weekends but there is plenty of parking. Just need to walk a little bit to get to the entrance. It's nice that they have a Starbucks here. I've been able to pick up a gift card instead of having to go to an actual Starbucks. This Target is a busy one. So stock may be hit or miss. Just check on the app to make sure you have a fighting chance for what you're looking for. A lot of items are full price, but if you wait a bit you can utilize coupons and or deals through the Target App. You should definitely be a Target Circle member. It's worth it so you don't have to pay full price. I feel that self-check out always is faster than the lines as the lines are long and there aren't many lanes open in general. I guess this is only for those folks who pick up a few things. Overall, still love Target. Just this one tends to be a bit busier and is low in stock on occasion for some items. But it is quite convenient if you're needing to do a Target run during your Trader Joe's run as it is nearby.

Yelp
Target management need to pay attention to their bathroom cleanliness. No kidding, based on my frequent visits to this store, their bathroom is very gross and dirty! Improvement please. Some days I was glad I didn't visit the bathroom before a meal! Toilet paper all over the place, toilets that weren't flushed still stayed! Walmart bathrooms are much, much cleaner.
google avatar

Karen M.

Yelp
The store's lay out was good & it was clean. The reason they aren't getting a high score from me is the lack of checkout stands that were open. It's a busy Sunday & you only had 3 checkout stands open? Every line was LONG!!! No 1 seemed 2 have any urgency. Do better Target!!!

Yelp
TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! Do Not Go Here! The workers that I encountered need more training. I received terrible service in the tech department and in the front registers. First, I went to get a Nintendo Switch game which states online on their website that there is 4 in stock and this Hispanic teen worker said that they ran out and people from online orders picked up the last of them. Good thing I looked on the shelf because there was 4-5 in Stock! And I told him and he asked how many there were and the shock of dismay on his face. How unwilling of him to help customers. LAZY LAZY LAZY! A more kind Asian man helped me and am grateful. Second, the register froze during my transaction at the registers up front and the cashier called the Team Lead/Manager and he said since it didn't print the receipt it didn't go through and that I should dispute it with bank. So I showed him the card reader states "Thanks" on it and I showed him the Bank Notification on my Phone that it went through. After that, he finally said that I will get my cash back. I mean it got resolved in the end but at first he was unwilling to help me.

Yelp
I usually prefer this Target location because of there beauty area. However today was my first time needing to use the restroom and it was disgusting. Toilet paper everywhere and a lot of stalls without toilet paper and seat covers. It was so gross. I try to avoid using public restrooms at all cost but sometimes I can't hold it. Bathrooms like this one today is why.

Yelp
Purchased an Etsy gift card. Gave it as a gift. Was then told by the recipient that the card had not been activated. Took the card and my original receipt to customer service at Target. Even though it had been only one day and I had the original receipt and was told it wasn't activated, all Target did was give me a third party phone number to call. Very very unhelpful. Update: because Target had not activated the card even though I had the receipt showing I paid for it, The people at the number given to me by Target were unable to help me. Basically Target just screwed me out of $50. And they would not help at all. Do not buy anything at this store. They are thieves.

Yelp
I've been going to this Target for years and for the last two years doing order pick up a lot! Its usually pretty good, they're fast but for the last few months they've been taking a lot longer and then when I get some of my items they're either damaged or old or a day away from expiration, then today they missed what seems like a whole bag. Multiple items were missing from my order. I will say the online refund service is easy to use and never gives me a problem but I mean I'd rather have all the things I ordered and not need to be refunded for things that were missing.

Pall P.

Yelp
We've been shopping at this Target almost every week for the past 10 years, but lately the experience has become very disappointing. The staff no longer smile or greet us -- especially as Asian/Indian customers -- while we notice they do so with others. It's disheartening that such a long-standing store doesn't ensure all customers are treated with the same courtesy and respect. Target should really focus on training their staff to provide equal, friendly service to everyone.
google avatar

Ruth O.

Yelp
This target is perfectly fine. It's significantly smaller than others in norcal, so they don't have as much stuff, but they still have most of what I need. The drive up pickups usually go very smoothly and they rarely mess up my order. The self checkouts are often not all open/out of order. Parking here is good I think. There's a lot of it, plus about 15 drive up spots, and enough (not a lot, but enough) disabled spots. what makes this location stand out among all other targets is its proximity to Trader Joe's, Safeway, CVS, Five Below, Daiso, Michaels, the pet store, etc. you can really get it all done in one place.

Yelp
Terrible interaction with this Target worker. Hispanic man who might be a lead or something. Not sure. Didn't even bother looking at his name bc he ruined my afternoon. I got a toy and the display box since I got the last one. I asked this other cashier (Asian woman) if I could have the box. & she said of course girl, we just toss them anyways. Then this Hispanic worker was like "excuse me you can't take the display box" & I was like "the cashier literally said I could have it because you guys are just gonna toss it." Then he proceeded to say "I can't let you leave the store with the box." Like really? You're gonna trip over a DISPLAY BOX??? Like does target even pay you enough to care about a box? Especially when I purchased the last item in the box? Like really??? I've worked in retail before I became a nurse. If something was going to end up in the trash and the customer asked if they could have it, I would let them have it bc it's going to be trashed anyways! Anyways, that dude is lame and probably miserable working there. Won't return to this target. I'll go to another one going forward.

Christina S.

Yelp
OMG, the staff I met on 9/16/2025 7:30pm in the return area seems she hate the whole world. I showed her a barcode to scan, and she showed me attitude without any reason. She said she cannot scan a screenshot, and she need my credit and ID to issue refund - no, it is not the truth. It seems she just had a bad mood and throw it to the customer. Girl, I understand your life must treat you bad, but please keep it for yourself and act professional when you have to work

Nancy F.

Yelp
Very poor management of access to the store (only one entrance and exit, the others were closed). Understaffed for the quantity of customers present. Wait time in line to pay for the purchase was more than 30 minutes for self-service and about 45 minutes for manned registers. Extremely poor customer service by the young man who appeared to be in charge. For example, after waiting in line for about 30 minutes and I was finally the 6th person from the front, this young man told the cashier to close the register. There was no explanation or direction about where to go. When I asked, he dismissively, curtly, and impatiently wave his hand towards the left saying he told everyone to get in a different line (he didn't). I was so upset at his poor treatment that I just left my cart and walked out of the store. I will go out of my way to avoid this store in the future.

Yelp
Went into Target to purchase Xmas flannel sets, very misleading information priced at $15.00 for the set. Got three sets thinking it's a great deal! However at the register it ranged $30.00 the Cashier thought the same thing so she asked her manager and very rudely he said it's only for children at that price! However they shouldn't have the adults with the children, since it's very misleading and not everyone reads the whole sign. The manager had a very rude attitude and had no sympathy. He needs to have good customer skills and good communication with their guests. Please tell me this isn't misleading? This floor manager (He) needs to have better training and learn to speak to customers with a more professional approach. This was Nov 10, 2024 at around 6:20 pm. I would appreciate someone higher to have a talk with him. So unprofessional didn't even once looked at us just showed a picture from his camera phone, very argumental didn't even allowed us to finish our sentence, and walked away, leading me to believe I'm not the first or last customer with the same situation

Yelp
Ha! Not coming back. Asked for a Walmart price match, it was cheaper, then they said that it's not right... I pulled up the price on my Walmart app. Like what? I had to find my item in the very messy sections, and now I have to prove that my phone isn't lying... For having a price match policy, I was awfully confused. Never had this problem before with targets.
google avatar

Amy G.

Yelp
This Target at Fremont Hub is quite crowded most of the time. There are a few times that I came here and couldn't find what I was looking for. They run out of inventory quickly here given the high traffic, but it's also quite messy. As for the return line, the line here seems much longer than the one at the Target at Pac Commons. One time I saw someone return a whole cart of over 50 items! Yeah, it's definitely not the Target you want to be at if you're in a rush. Otherwise, it's a convenient location if you're in this part of town.

Yelp
Best selection of products!! Target is definitely a store all parents love for all their household and baby needs!! Amazing prices too!
google avatar

Yelp
An okay branch. Selection is pretty limited especially the cosmetic and skincare section. Shelves are empty most of the time. But if you need basic necessities a quick trip here wouldn't really hurt.
google avatar

Carlos C.

Yelp
Was this... discriminatory? I went to buy a black collared shirt for work. I tried to go to the changing rooms with 2 shirts and I asked if they were open. She looked at me up and down with disgust attitude and she said it's all full. I'm like "each one of your 12 rooms are full?" She said yeah. So I waited and literally 4 seconds later this dad and daughter went up and she let them in, then proceeded to let me into another one. Like what was that about? Because of what I looked like or???
google avatar

Adrian V.

Yelp
some cash register named Blanca was giving me attitude for trying to confirm prices on a bike. when the placement of said bike was on the wrong shelf. additionally when getting the right price she was very sarcastic "it was the right price" . Very rude.

Israel D.

Yelp
Went to my first morning release and was scared because of stories about other targets poorly planned releases. Asked a worker and they told me their ETL George was in charge of this smooth release. He made sure that everyone in line left with something. Great job!
google avatar

Marie M.

Yelp
I had a good experience, I read some of the reviews, like the " nurse" who worked retail and wanted them to bend the rules for her, . Or people complaining about Hispanic staff.I found the cashier to be helpful and service to be quick.

Tammy A.

Yelp
I used to love coming to this location. No one knows anything nor are they there to help you . Went there today cashier rude and the guest service desk rude also will not be back . Maybe they changed there management. If not they need to not a pleasant experience today not happy customer.

Yelp
Been waiting 30 minutes just for somebody to open the door just for a single screen protector.

Yelp
This is one of two local Target stores. This one is located at the Fremont Hub, centrally located in Fremont. Most Targets are pretty busy and this one seems to have pretty good through put. Most Target's layout of merchandise is pretty much the same. So, I can usually get in and out pretty quick. This time, I came with my daughter AND I forgot my wallet at home. Since my wife will meet us here with my wallet, I had plenty of time to peruse the store. My gosh, what DON'T they have? Hmmm Airline Fuel, Nuclear weapons, real Redwood trees. Kidding aside, who doesn't enjoy a good Target run?

Yelp
This is about the optometry department. During my appointment, the optometrist patiently explained all aspects of my eye health and vision issues. She took the time to answer all of my questions and was very approachable and amicable. Her friendly demeanor put me at ease, and I felt well-supported throughout the entire process.

Ryann H.

Yelp
Worst target. Waited 20 minutes at drive up and they said that it took long because they couldn't find one of the items I ordered. It sucks to have my toddler wait in the car for these guys. There were many cars that came after us that got their pickup orders faster than we did. We only had ordered 2 packs of baby wipes and a box of diapers along with some kids hangers. I avoided this location for a long time because I got an email from Denise and Jorge to assist with a problem before and they weren't replying to my emails. Bad service
google avatar

Javier P.

Yelp
Not my preferred target location. Last time I shopped here was about 8 years ago. Yesterday I walked in to get a few items that were in stock according to the target app. After looking and asking I was told they were out. I guess the inventory that shows in the app does not update daily. I also noticed that there were several empty shelves. Not sure if I'll shop here again.
google avatar

Miliza T.

Yelp
the fremont hub has got a wide range of stores here, there's something for everyone. not the best target ive been to, but also not the worst. if i cant find anything at this target, ill just go to the other stores nearby great place for killing time tho lol
google avatar

Kathleen B.

Yelp
This is not really about the service like most of the other reviews, because I feel like Target in general is a hit or miss with good service. But this Target seems to rarely be stocked on anything, even pre-covid. I can rarely find what I need there, but then when I go to the Auto Mall Target, it's there and in stock. I've filled out surveys about it numerous times and it's been months and it's still pretty much the same. Even after getting an email response from the manager about my surveys. If you can, is suggest going to the Auto Mall Target and only go to this one when you really need it and can't go farther. Just cross your fingers that it's there.

Yelp
I bought my items using my debit card. Then I wanted to return them, they said my debit won't go through. That is baloney!!

Yelp
This is my preferred Target store in Fremont. Regular here for around 6-7 years. Quite big and you will always find whatever you are looking for. Ever since the pandemic begun, I use their pick up at store facility a lot. This review is more focused on that. Never had a single problem for the numerous pick up in store orders I placed here. Pick up was always easy even though there will be a long line at times. They had the pick up and return at the same place, which makes it a little difficult in terms of waiting time. Since they started the revamping of the pickup counter, it's been very smooth. They have a makeshift counter for pickup and that's really fast. Checkout during the rush our is always tough here, despite having numerous checkout counters and self checkout, there's always a long line. Staffs are good and service had been always great.

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Barry in Electronics did his utmost to find me what I was looking for. I sure appreciate his helpfulness and going the extra mile. There was a short young pretty lady employee who was in electronics who was there and she too told me that she'd walk me to where she believed the item I wanted might be. I wish I had gotten her name. She wore her hair up adorned w pretty hair pins/clips! If I were their supervisor I'd have been super pleased w their customer service.

Jean B.

Yelp
POS store has a phone number to call and not ONE department knows how to answer a phone. Very sad.

Yelp
Thank you for fixing the issues I mentioned earlier this year. Respect comes a long way and no one should feel like they are being judged and disrespected in the store. Who ever I complained about previously still work here but at least they are doing their job accordingly. Please keep it respectful (like the way I've been seeing it when I was there after my previous review). I found out some of these employees are not even 21 years old yet. I just want to let them know that respect comes a long way and that they should learn how to respect everyone. I know they are doing their best and with me saying this and them reading this, they should be able to find out that respecting patrons will lead these employees (and this place) to be recommended. In other words, every employee that I've seen so far (even the ones I complained about) after my previous review is good here now and I hope it stays that way. However, I could not raise the stars higher than how it is because of the other people (patrons) and especially the homeless people who try to trash this place (especially the bathroom). I hope everyone understands. Thank you though.

Yelp
This review is specifically about their online ordering process. I'll tell you up front, I *really* hate bait-and-switch gambits!! Technically, they are illegal, but there's no point in trying to fight a huge company like Target over a $16 purchase... but still... I was looking for a particular product, and found it at Target for about $16... the summary box on the right side clearly said "Delivery: Free" ... so I ran with that... created an account, did some other stuff... and then, *only* after I clicked "Checkout", did they display a complete order which said that I had agreed to pick up the product at the store... that was *NEVER* displayed *anywhere* until I went to the Checkout screen. then, when I clicked around some more, I saw that actually getting it "Delivered" to my house... [ummm... *most* of us agree that "Delivery" refers to 'to our house', don't we?? ] would cost an additional $10 on my $16 order... So... I was tired at that point, and decided to complete the order, since the store is only a mile or so away, this *certainly* is not going to encourage me to log on to Target Online again...

Yelp
This store sells food that is spoiled. I get drive up a lot and the food is always expired or bulging from bacteria. There is mold in their refrigerated areas. Don't buy your food here!

Matt C.

Yelp
This place is always overcrowded and messy. The lines are always huge every time I go there and finding help is next to impossible because there are so few employees. I think the management are cheapskates and don't want to hire more employees, because they never have enough people working the registers either. Don't bother calling them, either. Nobody ever answers the phones no matter which department you call. Really poorly run store, management should be replaced with someone competent.

Yelp
This is my first time at this Target yesterday, besides drive up, and I can't believe the service that I've received there. I was with my cousin, niece and sister. When we walked in we couldn't help but noticed that their Starbucks cup was fully stocked and we wanted to see what they had. I saw three employees behind the counter and they were going over something together. I didn't mean the bother them but I also I just wanted to know if they were open and if they weren't, then it's okay. When I went over I said "excuse me" nicely and twice and by the time they noticed me, they looked up, annoyed, and just said "we're closed!" loudly, before I could even say anything. I thought it was so rude so I looked at them said "okay" and walked away. My sister saw what happened and she said "let's just go". After that we continued shopping and grabbed everything we wanted and proceeded to checkout. My cousin and I were at checkout and my sister had a return and she went to the exchange and returns line. By the time we were done with the checkout, my sister was done with the return as well. I saw her face and she was in disbelief and I asked her what happened and she told me that at the end of the exchange, while getting the receipt, the employee tossed the receipt at her. At this point, I was just flabbergasted at the treatment that we were receiving by these employees. I've worked at target before and I know it's not the best working there but I wouldn't treat a guest the way they did to us. I don't think I could return back to that location. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. I'd refund my one star but they'd probably throw the receipt at me too!

Omar Z.

Yelp
Picking up an online order was supposed to be easy and convenient. Bianca was working the front, we were up next and She just left without letting us know she would be back. 5 minutes later she comes back with no customer service and a lot of attitude. Really bad experience makes me want to shop Amazon from now on.

Yelp
The Target in Fremont; CA on Walnut, needs to clean up their parking area. It was filthy when we went there the other day. Other Target at Pacific Commons is a lot cleaner & has more of the items we need. I've been to many Target stores in other cities, and this one on Walnut needs some work.

Yelp
One of the best shopping locations in the area. Clean, spacious and comfortable are the most basic feelings

Yelp
I am solely writing this review for the 2 ladies working at Starbucks this morning, 10/26 around 9:15 am and the cashier who helped me, I wish I would have caught her name she was of Indian decent with glasses, all 3 of these women were extremely friendly and had great customer service! The lady at Starbucks made probably the best iced matcha I've had....Just wanted to state some facts

Yelp
I like this Target because of its convenient location. It is in the same plaza as Trader Joe's and Safeway and Food Maxx is a plaza across. I took one star off for the bathrooms. They can be very dirty. To be honest, I haven't been inside their bathrooms since the pandemic started. I am not sure how often cleaning is done, but they may want to increase it. Also, customers should be mindful when using the bathrooms. Overall, I think the store is clean, organized, and well stocked (for the most part). With the pandemic, they can have no or running low on paper products like toilet paper/paper towels, cleaning supplies). I am glad they have the self checkout counters. I appreciate the employees wiping down the counters after every customer. The employees also disinfect the carts, which I am grateful they still do. Curbside pickup is also very convenient and easy to do online or via the app. I use the app for curbside pickup many times. You let them know when you are on the way, what type of car you have, and its color. Once I tap on "I'm here." I usually see the employee coming out the door and have been impressed with how quick the delivery to the car is!

Yelp
***Covid19 Edition*** My first foray back into the closest Target to my house. Pretty shocking that nobody is cleaning the carts and worse no wipes to DIY!! The Pacific Commons Target has a dedicated worker sterilizing carts and welcoming you into the store. Oh well at least they are open clean and well stocked. They are cleaning & sterilizing the conveyor belts and register areas in between each customer, hand sanitizer available to you. 3 miles between stores, miles apart in management. Average Target with sometimes spotty service. Still it has all the items you come for...
