Love love LOVE target, they have a wide selection of so many home goods, you could get lost here because there is so much to buy. Items include clothing, arts and crafts, outdoor gear, home goods, snacks, etc. Target is the place to come for most things you would need around the house

Google
Employees were completely unhelpful In finding me a simple eye mask like for sleeping. I checked online ahead of time and saw that there were many in stock. I even saw where the aisle was but multiple aisle signs were missing from the pharmacy area Including the one I was supposed to go to. I did find Multiple aisles that I was sent to To check besides the pharmacy area, including beauty, travel, suitcases, bedding…. but none of them contained eye sleep masks Of any kind. I never found them. The employees were not very helpful. I talked to four different ones. Some of them were very hard to understand. This is why people don’t shop in person anymore. I only went because I was in a time crunch, and it only made it worse.

This Target is very sad and depressing. The staff is nice, but they are hard to find and they are probably busy. Go to the Sunnyvale target instead and you will enjoy your shopping instead of it being just a chore.

Google
Stock is poor—I haven’t been able to find multiple things on my list (photo paper, sidewalk chalk, compactor trash bags, apricot scrub…) every time I’ve shopped there. The store seems to be optimized for impulse purchases, not actually finding what you’re looking for. If you manage to find a worker on the floor and ask for help, almost none of them speak English. Also the building is super old and dingy, it’s as ugly as Walmart 😱 Pickup experience is fine (but then you have to pay for a zillion useless plastic bags). Candy prices are better than Safeway. But the Sunnyvale location is much better—go there.

Google
Daughter shopping there now. Has texted me they have no paper towels, no ground beef, no fresh fruit veggies, and does not have the brand Joy Lab. What in the world???! Horrible Target

Qurrat Ahmad

Google
No produce. Very limited brand selection (mainly they stock their own Good & Gather brand). Constantly out of stock on things. Store not very clean. I used to like Target for a one-stop shopping experience but this is not it.

Google
I love Target and use to come in the store all the time. It’s been a couple years since I’ve really been inside the store but I love placing orders online for drive up. They’re pretty fast and efficient at fulfilling the order and when you arrive. After having a baby, it’s much easier to place an order for everyday life items and not have to go around the store and just have it brought to your car. The employees are friendly and helpful.

Patricia Kruckmeyer

Google
Since I forgot to bring my target card , The guy who was helping me doesn’t want me to use my other credentials like driver’s license and social security number . So I end up using another credit card . Compared to other companies like Macy’s I usually do that .

Yelp
This Target had all of the normal selection of items although I got a little turned around looking for the grocery section - the layout didn't feel intuitive. However, I liked that there was pretty light foot traffic here. Came here for some specific food items which I was able to find fairly easily. I went through the self check-out for efficiency and was on my way.

Yelp
I really like this Target. It's a huge store, and they carry a wide variety of household and grocery goods. I especially like their sugar-free treats section. And I absolutely love their item locator station; you just type in what you're looking for, and tells you what aisle it's in and shows you a map of the store so you can easily find it. This helped me to find the new non-toxic drop-in toilet bowl cleaner from Blueland.

Yelp
I usually shop at the Sunnyvale store and now I remember why I don't shop at this store in Mt. View. I received a proctor and gamble (P&g) coupon value at 25.00 which meant that as long as my P&g purchase was greater than $25, I would receive credit up to that amount. I planned to buy Charmin cost 31.99. The coupon didn't have a normal scan code so the clerk called the manager to assist. The manager tried everything the clerk did by rescanning etc. I told her that I had two coupons and the coupon says value up to 25.00. But she said it could be 2.00 despite the wording on the coupon saying value up to 25.00. So I just left. Not happy or plan to return.

Yelp
Hi there! I need to do this! I just couldn't understand what was happening at this store. It could be a great place that people want to go to, but when I go there I don't really want to. It's extremely depressing. Walmart across the street is more fun. The atmosphere is so heavy and dark in this Target, it's so sad...they need light, they need life! Even the parking lot is just so dark. It needs to be resurrected! It's dead! We just see a few people working there and I perceive they don't care. I it's just dead! I pray LIFE! I pray JESUS over this store and it's employees. I like Target stores in general but this location is a place that if I can, I totally avoid. I speak Joy and Life into this Target! In the Mighty name of Jesus. Prayer works! Thank you Lord. Somebody read, somebody did something! Good job, it looks better. More lights for sure! Now it just needs to be kept neat and organized, but I totally appreciate the difference

Yelp
Horrible manager/supervisor and staff. They answer the phone like they hate their job! I called to see if they have a product in stock before driving there. Girl that answered has ZERO Phone Customer Friendly Experience. She sounded annoyed, followed by her "manager". I bought 2 items at target in Milpitas and wanted 2 more. The annoyed girl said they have 9 in stock and they don't put items on hold?????? I would have to get it online..???????? If that was an option I wouldn't be calling you! This target needs new employees and management. Manager sounded she just wanted to brush you off the phone. Good way of rejecting customers money!! Also target in Santa Clara was able to put items on hold for US because THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS, THEY WERE ABLE TO DO EVERYTHING WHAT YOUR LITTLE ANNOYED GIRL AND MANAGER DID NOT WANT TO! My husband went, paid picked it up. Easy and convenient. Learn what customer service is before you deal with people. If you are having a bad day don't come to work snobby!

Yelp
This terrible place sold me a Nintendo switch used by an Indian kid and still controlled by his/her parent. Parental lock controlled this swtich and I wasted so much time unlocking it. Such a waste of time and they did not check out the product quality returned by other customer at all. So useless

Alex T.

Yelp
Terrible experience with "team lead" Christina, who was rude and passive aggressive. I was buying a $300 camera and wanted to price match to Amazon which was selling it at $230. She explained why Target could only match to $280, which is silly but fine -- but she was clearly agitated and told me "If you don't like it you can go on Amazon. We DON'T NEED YOUR BUSINESS" then immediately walked away. Sadly you're better off shopping at Walmart across the street.

Yelp
As a longtime customer at Target, this is my favorite and of course I may be a little biased, since this is in Mountain View. But there is something that is really special and unique about this particular Target location and that is the people. For one, I think I had the great fortune to be helped by the manager whose name is Katie I believe. What a great, genuine person who truly cares about helping her customers. And she also was very smart with troubleshooting an issue I had and was very friendly and graceful the whole time. So appreciated! Not to be outdone, the same can be said for Katie's wonderful co-worker Sarah who helped as well. She was also very friendly and eager to help. With the issue I had, a lot of customer support folks could have just said tough cookies and sent me on my own way, but Katie and Sarah were really thoughtful and figured out a way to help, which really makes someone feel great. Another great reminder that the Mountain View Target is the best and the people are the biggest reason. When you want a little bit of good physical shopping, make a trip over here!

Yelp
Checking in to my favorite Target location. Everything was ran pretty efficiently for this cold, wet day. Got friendly assistance in finding the right aisle for some random items I needed. Went in and out in less than 10 minutes. Always a pleasure shopping at this location!

Yelp
The shopping itself was fine, it was just really quiet, no background music, and the atmosphere seemed depressing. There were people but it was just weirdly quiet. Whatever happened to the cafe??? I wanna cry.

Yelp
Generally, I love target. The arrangement of goods is excellent, and you can tell they put the best designers on the job. But most importantly, they have inventory- that's what matters. But at this location, it's not the case. I love collecting hot wheels toy cars, which always come in shipments of 72, and I've noticed that employees often take rarer cars behind in the back, leaving not much behind. This has been confirmed on multiple occasions by other persons. Staff are unwilling to admit that this occurs, and while nice, it's easy to tell it's been happening for a while. Very unhappy that this happens even when it's against Target's policy and standards.

Yelp
COVID UPDATE Yikes Target. 2 stars for the carts being wiped down by the courteous person at the entrance. -3 stars for not enforcing store capacity. Every aisle was full and the lines were 5-7 people long for every checkout. The checkout area wasn't wiped down, and when I asked the lady said they were supposed to wipe every 30 minutes. That logic escapes me unless they were planning checkout to last 30 minutes. The store manager said they were supposed to wipe down after each checkout. No wonder Bezos and the behemoth are dominating all other retailers.

Yelp
Every time I go, I buy more than I need. Staff is helpful and the deals are pretty good. Sometimes there are people out front looking for money or following you. Need to have store management call police to get them away from front of store!

Yelp
This target is smaller than the other locations. The lay of this store is so different. The workers here are nice and friendly. They don't even have a produce or meat section.

Yelp
This afternoon on 9/11/24, a gentleman was in line, in front of me, seeking assistance from the cashier on locating an item. Rather than either directing him or asking another employee to assist, she just told the customer she didn't know. Since no one else was in line, and I was in no hurry, I took him to the area of the item. Is this the best that retail stores can do in hiring incompetent lazy people? Target, you can do a lot better in training your hires in customer service. I should have gotten the name of that cashier.

Yelp
Although this location is the closest one to my house and we appreciate the option of ordering what we need and doing curbside pickup, the condition of the store was disappointing. The close parking spots are hard to come by, and it seems like the store could benefit from a renovation or at least some upgrades. In addition, I found that many of the items I was looking for were out of stock, including basic household items like dishwashing liquid. Even items that we regularly use, like SodaStream refill cartridges, were not available. If you have a choice, I would recommend going to another Target, like the one in Cupertino, which is much nicer and better stocked. Hopefully, this location will receive a remodel or some improvements in the future.

Yelp
I absolutely love going to Targets out of my area, but this one is AWFUL :( 1.The trash cans were overfilled and garbage was everywhere on the floor, when you first enter the store. 2.The clothes were falling off hangers and shoes were strung out all over the aisles. 3. There was NO MUSIC playing WHATSOEVER. Talk about creepy!!!! So quiet in the store at 7:30pm. When I asked the manager she said "Fill out a survey, that is weird huh?" She said it's like that all the time. That does not make anyone want to shop. Creepy vibes. I can see that they are severely understaffed and most likely overworked. Sad times!

Yelp
This is a pretty weird Target. I saw it have lower scored reviews, and was like, how is that possible? All Targets are pretty much the same? Wrong. Stock was very low on pretty much everything. No joke, everything. You want frozen pizza? Go elsewhere? You want shampoo? Go elsewhere. Not saying they were completely depleted, but it left a lot to be desired. The layout at this location is also on the weirder side. Not my favorite Target by a mile.

Yelp
Welcome to Silicon Valley - there is not enough staff. Good location. Many workers can not afford to live locally. So to ask a question it takes time.

Hannah B.

Yelp
i hate how they never play music here it's so awkward and quiet a bit less stocked/empty in some areas but overall an okay target

Yelp
This Target is like 4 Targets far from me, so it's never my go-to. But lately when I'm looking for an item, it's sold out at the ones near me and I make the drive to this one because the inventory say it's in stock. Luckily, its up to date and I can almost guarantee I'll find it in this store. I also realize that this Target over the years got renovated. (This is one that used to have a Patio section of gardening stuff) The layout is kind of confusing since I'm used to the other locations, but I find myself exploring this store more because of it. But I'm really reviewing this because of a team member who helped me find my niece a perfect birthday present! Kids don't usually get excited about clothes (that's a given), but my niece loved her new outfit! She was twirling in her dress and rubbing the fabric so much because she said "it's so soft and pink!!" Thank you, Ofelia!!

Yelp
Terrible service. I drove up for a pick up. No one came out to my car so I eventually went in to ask where my things were at. The guy at customer service was a complete jerk. He yelled at me them walked off. He had no intention of helping me or the person that was out in the parking lot. I left and canceled my order. The guy was unhinged and there was no manager in sight.

Yelp
oh man i wish i lived closer to a better target. i'll only go here if i REALLY need something but when i do, it's a 50/50 chance they'll have it. it's either their out of stock, or they don't carry it at all. this is a very limited target, as that this does not have a grocery area like regular targets do and is probably a 3rd of a regular target. i think this target was made for you to go in and out of the store, not lollygag and waste time to wander around lol. if i want to get food, i'll opt for whole foods, sprouts, or trader joes (which is all walkable from this target). but if i need some other household products, i'll go here as a last resort.

Yelp
I like Target generally, but this is easily the worst one in the local area. These guys never stop to amaze me at the sheer range of items they can be out of, and how often they can be out of it! You'll find them running out of the most common things in the all of retail-dom -- Curel lotion, Mint Milano, Nestle Crunch, ibuprofen, lactase pills, even milk! Seriously, these guys are out of milk the vast majority of the time (roughly 75%), and we're talking about Target's own house brand. This has all been true for at least five years now, so COVID has nothing to do with it. Although that might be why their employee quality is declining. One recent cashier somehow managed to ring me up for a $200 phone I didn't even buy. A trip here is often a trip wasted. These days I try to either head to Target's EPA / Sunnyvale stores, or the Trader Joe's across the street.

Yelp
Avoid this location. Overheard one of the cashiers making racist comments and being rude towards Asian customers. Also, like other reviews mentioned, this location has a weirdly depressing/desolate feeling. Inventory is a lot more lacking than other target stores.

Yelp
I love Target! Any Target I go to I will love. I love the diversity of products they sell! Yes. Target slays.
google avatar

Sandeep R.

Yelp
This is a pretty huge location and usually well-managed with kind and professional staff but is out of stock with respect to multiple things such as bounty wraps, coffees, milk on most days in the later hours (8 pm).. In terms of the service, their curbside pickups as well as in person transactions have been fairly efficient and safe ... The staff is always masked and follows the required guidelines

C C.

Yelp
This Target has no cashiers working in the front and not one cashier working in electronics. I am the type of customer who likes to be waited on by someone who works for the company. I refuse to use self checkout. Why is it these big companies expect customers to use self checkouts instead of paying employees to wait on customers. You ever heard of customer service. It wouldn't surprise me if I see customers doing their own returns and tossing it on a shelf or putting it in a large bin. Whatever happen to employees at the checkstand saying "Next in line" You walk in you grab a cart, you grab the items you want/need you scan the stuff yourself without even being waited on. Target should pay the customers for ringing up their own merchandise they are buying. It's bad enough we pump our own gas at the gas station but Targrt can't wait on their customers?

A L.

Yelp
I got to this Target a lot due to it being so close to my house. Every time I go everyone is friendly and helpful. This review is just for my visit today. I was looking in the makeup aisle and overheard a man ask a worker where diapers were, she told him she didn't speak English and so he said "ok" and walked away. Another customer over heard also and directed the man to where the diapers were. I completely understand English is not everyone's first language and I completely understand if speaking the Language you do is more comfortable, but being on the floor unfortunately also means customers are going to ask you questions. Maybe she can wear something that says Spanish Speaking only or something. Unless she just didn't want to be bothered to answer the question and just wanted to get her work done, I don't know.

Isaac G.

Yelp
All they had was self checkout and the machine would not print our receipt. Khor was really helpful through.
google avatar

Adrienne A.

Yelp
What I was saying with my check in was he (my dog) has a goji Berry addiction!!! This is a smaller target with a bit of a different layout. I like the bigger ones, but this one definitely seems to have all the essentials. Some cute summer purses are out here. I no longer buy purses unless my dog fits in it :D

Yelp
Haven't been back to this Target in literally years. Other times for one reason or another, I used to get toiletries from here and shop their women's clothing section Thirsty, I got one bottle of gatorade lemonade flavored, found their college supplies section, and ended up purchasing the drink, a couple 3-ring binders, and a pack of highlighters This was only because I was in town waiting to meet up with a friend The customer service was great. A very nice red-headed lady directed me to a grocery basket upon arriving at the store As is the case nowadays for me at least, I use the self checkout just because it's more efficient and convenient given that I am a young person. Will probably not be back unless in the area
google avatar

Danielle G.

Yelp
This Target has everything I needed. I was looking for comfy clothes and face masks and they had everything i was looking for. Very clean target and staff was friendly even during this pandemic
google avatar

Angie C.

Yelp
Rude staff. An older staff member screamed at my 7 year old when he politely asked for the location of the restrooms. He then looked at me and said "what you gonna do about it!" and stormed off. He likely would've responded differently if my son and I were Caucasian. Incredibly despicable behavior that's allowed by management here. Racist store.
google avatar

Jen Y.

Yelp
Shout out to the managers and staff for being helpful and communicative this morning for the XXO 20th anniversary designer launch today. They helped contain the potential chaos of suburban women up at dawn for designer bargains!
google avatar

Lynette C.

Yelp
The store was very clean and fully stocked. The sales people I encountered were friendly. Well except for one that was moving some merchandise and couldn't wait for me to pass to come out of the clothing aisles and cut me off. I was like well then. Anyway it's a huge target. The one near my house where I generally go is much smaller. So I was a little overwhelmed, thank god for the target app. I looked up things I was looking for and was able to find the aisles with ease. I didn't realize how large the store was and ended up at the wrong end originally. They also have a CVS inside just to your left when you enter. There is a pizza hut and some other food stuff also over there. If I'm looking for something in particular I will probably come here as the store by my house is much smaller and doesn't carry a lot of the items I found at this one.
google avatar

Thomas B.

Yelp
This Target is clean and organized though it's so large it can be hard to find things. It lacks the variety of other Targets such as the Redwood City one which has fresh, organic produce. The staff were helpful. The reason I'm taking a star off is that their quality control seems bad. I bought some protein shakes and the protein had congealed into chunks. YUCK! It wasn't expired, but it did say to store in a cool, dry place. The protein shake brand had great online reviews, so it's purely specific to their quality control. I will not be buying protein shakes from this Target again.
google avatar

Yelp
I usually would never write a review for a target because the majority of targets are all the same. This one however, has a super weird layout. It is also really dimly lit, which makes me feel like im in a walmart. The dim lighting really threw me off and made me want to get out ASAP. But they did have hot ruffles here which i couldnt find in a 30 miles radius so i had to come and satisfy my hot chip addiction.
google avatar

Thuy N.

Yelp
It's Target, but I'd rather go to the one in Sunnyvale. I placed an order for pick up because they had all the items I needed. For the pick up line, I waited about 10-15 mins for my items and I was second in line. It does take awhile here for order pick up. I don't feel that they are very organized with order pick up. It's the second time I've placed an order for pick up at this location. The first time I picked up, we were already in the SIP and they did make me sign on their phone for pickup. I was pretty shock when that was necessary. I mean, it's a Target but I'd rather make a trip to another Target. This one is pretty small, but it does have a pharmacy at this location.
google avatar

Yelp
This Target is somewhat peculiar. It is a regular, run-of-the-mill Target. It has a large parking lot. It has most of the same store sections as typical Target stores. Yet, this is where it gets somewhat perplexing. The location is great for people living in Palo Alto, Mountain View or Los Altos. It is situated on Showers Dr. across the street from the very busy Wal-Mart. Whereas the Wal-Mart located across the street is crowded from the moment that it opens to the moment that it closes, this Target is virtually empty. I suspect that one of the reasons for this is that this location sells items at a slight Silicon Valley premium. Many items are more expensive here than they are on the official Target website. While the price increase is negligible, it is apparently enough to cause people to choose the messy, cluttered and frustrating Wal-Mart located just across the street. I actually prefer shopping here compared with the Wal-Mart. It isn't nearly as claustrophobic as Wal-Mart. You can actually find employees here and they are (occasionally) helpful. That said: The grocery, pharmacy and personal care sections only offer a limited selection of items. Some of those items aren't stocked on a regular or weekly basis either. VERDICT: I prefer shopping at the large Target on Mathilde in Sunnyvale (despite the greater distance). If I need something quick, I'll visit this one. TIP: If you want to save a little money, buy the items online and select to pick them up in the store. You might save $1-5 on each item. Unfortunately, I've had a few experiences where I purchased something online to be picked up only to find that the item was "no longer in stock."

Yelp
I found everything I was looking for and a cute top but the store was gross and the employees weren't the bubbliest to say the least.

Yelp
I was so, so happy to walk in to my local Target and see regular sized models in the advertising and mannequins. Seeing a sexy, full figured beautiful woman in a bikini, happy, healthy. It was a revelation for me. What took so long? It has taken me a lifetime to unravel body issues, and I am so glad my daughter will have an easier time not just accepting, but celebrating her beauty whatever form it takes. Our culture is finally embracing female beauty in all it's gorgeous dimensionality. Also, hats off to Target staff. It's not an easy job, tough to make it in the pricey Bay Area in retail, and God bless them I meet the nicest, most interesting people who work there. Sergei made my day the other day, hearing about how he has found happiness in his life, without a cell phone, two blocks away, a super simple life where he has lots of free time. He is a happy genius in a red vest stocking the shelves at Target. It is the smallest, and most run down in the area. But, Target is a happy place for me, I am so glad to have it close by and I think they are doing so many things right. Yay, Target!

Lorrie M.

Yelp
I was expecting a pretty bad Target ... but this one was not as horrendous as I thought the reviews would dictate. They really cleaned things up around here, and its fairly quiet as far as Targets go. They have a decent selection of random sizes of dresses ... I know this because I literally needed to come here to buy an emergency dress. Don't judge me, it's a thing. Emergency dresses ... are a thing. Either way, the checkout was easy, self check out was fast, and the employees seem eager to help. Can't really ask for much more!

Yelp
You can always count on Target to have your back when you need it. And to be fair, knowing that the store remains open till 12 AM is a helps a lot. I went there recently with a long list to cover for a party I was planning. Prices were quite reasonable, there were a large selection of products to choose from and the employees were pleasant. One of them even offered to help me take my cart to the cashing point as I had some run-away marshmallows! You had to be there for it, the employee thought it was hilarious! I like that the staff is approachable, it made what would be a difficult situation into one I would definitely remember for future events. And finally, if you go to Target often you should get their credit card. It has no yearly fee and you get 5% off every time you pay with the card. It's a no-brainer!

Kevin E.

Yelp
Went in today to buy Pediasure and the ladies near the cash register pulled me out of self check out to make me pay at a register. We get there and she tells us she's going on break and tells us to wait in line again so we try going to self check out again and she comes and tells us we can't pay there again.

Yelp
Dirty tables, burnt pizzas and lousy service. When I pointed out the burnt personal pizza, the cashier said "this is how they come". Better skip the quick bite.

Yelp
I seriously hate this target. The parking sucks and the workers here hate their life. Going into this target is also depressing. Like do you even care to upgrade? This target looks like its been going through some hard times. At this target, I can never find anything and the workers aren't much help either. I asked an employee do you know where something was and he said "uhhh sorry no I don't..." and walked away...... HE WALKED AWAY. like didn't even think to offer to help in any way. RUDE much? Even though I live 8 mins away, I rather just drive to the Sunnyvale one.
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Ooo Target, why did you sell expired yoghurt? It was my fault for not checking, but 21st May? I bought it on June 5th. Granted, I should have checked the expiration date but I didnt think I needed to, Target doesn't keep expired Goods on their shelves right? I like this store, but that was really sad to see.

Tabitha J.

Yelp
I had the most abusive aggressive cashier of all time. She was trying to sign me up for a target card and I told her no repeatedly and wouldn't stop asking me. It was the most aggressive disrespectful experience I've ever had from a cashier. Then she proceeded to roll her eyes at me when I told I didn't need after the 12th time. I hope someone can have a talk with her because the actually ruined my day and scared me. She's young, brown curly hair, and was wearing red lipstick.
