Dear Tom, We wanted to send you a huge thank you and respond to the wonderful time we had whilst staying at your property. It was such a pleasure and a privilege to meet you, and to make your acquaintance, as well as both your mum and dad, Wendy and David, such delightful people, along with Jason, Margy, and your fellow wool producer and neighbour Greg. You were all very welcoming and hospitable, which made it so easy for us to feel comfortable, and including us as a part of the community of Tarndie for the time of our stay. We were grateful for your candour and wonderful sense of humour, and a great verse of banter, while at the same time conveying your wealth of knowledge of the sheep and wool fabric industry, and the history and longevity of your amazing property and homestead. The attention to detail and the effort you made in our choice of the wool, which was the main purpose of our visit, made it all the more memorable along with the beautiful accommodation you provided. We could not recommend a stay at Tarndie anymore highly, it was just superb. Look forward to seeing you again at The Back-to-Back. Sandra and Steve Thirroul, NSW.

The Farmers Cottage at Tarndwarncoort (Tarndie) is a gorgeous and cosy, “soft” landing place steeped in multi-generational Polworth sheep farming history and custodianship of Wadawarrung & Eastern Maar Country. My stay was a little moment of comfort to buffer long hours of road travel for work. Gentle “baa’ing” & birdsong kept me company, while each window, frames beautiful, early spring gardens muted by misty rain and vistas of distant tree lines dot the paddocks. Inside the cottage, little touches of “special” can be found in every room - vases of flowers from the Tarndie gardens, local coffee and breakfast goodies and delicious smelling soaps in the bathroom. A super comfy king size bed and ready to light fire make the stay even more “cosy”, and for those with a sense of curiosity, a little surprise “sip” of something can be found in the lounge room (I was not curious enough…. but am looking forward to revisiting to see what I can find!) I’m not going to lie, I was not ready to leave after my only one night stay, but the promise of a great coffee for 10 o’clock smoko on the Homestead verandah with Tom and his Dad, got me up and out! Tarndie feels like a long, warm hug. Thank you Tom and family for hugging me this week 💛

Back for another visit. This time staying at the stables very comfortable with well appointed kitchen and bathroom. Very comfortable lining and dining room. Beautiful views all around. Up stair to a luxurious bedroom with jet more views. Stunning. The historic homestead is close by which adds another layer to Tarndie. A wool shop, which is heaven, is also at the homestead which has the luxurious Polworth wool for sale in an outstanding range. Great coffee and scones and cream when you think it could not get any better. Thank you so much Tom and Jason. We can’t wait to come back.

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming farmhouse for our family of 4. Lots to see - including many playful lambs keeping us company. As the evening settled in, we hunkered down by the fire. Cozy, scenic, and full of heart—highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature.

This gorgeous accommodation in the stables studio was beautifully appointed, amazingly warm and cosy, modern meets settler vibe with a view that was just wonderful. Our host Tom Dennis was warm and welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area. We will definitely be returning.

The cottage overlooking the homestead is very comfortable with a cute cosy sitting room with wood fire (which Tom our host had lit for our arrival) a very functionable kitchen living area well appointed, and extremely comfortable beds. Love to know where those mattresses came from Tom. We need to get some! Thanks again Tom!

What a delightful farmstay! We thoroughly enjoyed our three night mini vacation at Tarndie, staying in the farm cottage. We loved the attention to detail. Beautiful flowers by Wendy. Delicious local treats supplied; coffee, granola, DK potato chips. The cottage is well equipped and has everything you need. A real fire was a bonus too. Beautiful sunrise views. And cute baby lambs entertained us with their antics. We’ll be back. Thank you Tom.
