I had lunch here today prior to seeing a show at the theatre across the street, and this place was delicious! The hand made cheesesticks were some of the best I have ever had, and the marinara sauce was definitely homemade and packed with flavor! My sledgehammer burger was cooked perfectly and full of flavor! The bun was soft and made it easy to devour. My friend's pizza was really good also. The service was great, and the atmosphere was appealing. What a great spot!

Tarrant’s Downtown is a fantastic spot for any meal, any time of day! Their happy hour is great, offering solid deals on drinks and bites. The meatloaf is absolutely delicious—comfort food at its finest. And if you’re a seafood lover, don’t miss the crab soup—it’s rich, flavorful, and a must-try. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual lunch, dinner, or happy hour, Tarrant’s never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Google
What a gem! We were looking for a spot to grab lunch while in town. Tarrant's Cafe was only a couple blocks away so we made the pleasant walk over. We lived the historic vibe with modern touches. The original marble counter from when it was a soda shop/pharmacy was appreciated as we entered. The wooden, upholstered booths were obviously, old though probably not authentic to the space. On the whole, it was charming and comfortable. When our server took our order, she returned to the table with sweet rolls drizzled with a sweet cream sauce. So good! My husband gobbled his down though he frequently tells me he does not like sweets. LOL He ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, I ordered one of the specials, Blueberry Bacon Delight - 2 smash burgers with bacon, goat cheese, and housemade Blueberry garlic aoli. Both dishes were beyond fabulous. And his fries and my sweet potato fries (I requested no brown sugar) were crispy. We will definitely try to get back there on our next visit to Richmond.

Wow. What a find!! Walking distant from our Air B&B. Great atmosphere, people, service and food. I would eat here weekly if I lived in this neighborhood. Summer cocktails: I had the Black Tulip, Lisa the Marigold. Two pizzas, Monty Christo and Cacio E Pepe. Amazingly good!! Ask for Jocelyn as your server…$80.00

Delicious Happy Hour pizza and specials. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.

As homeowners in Jackson Ward, we are delighted to have Tarrant's Downtown just a few blocks away. It's always great for a happy hour with both food and drink specials. And good pizza as well. Yesterday we took my nephew for brunch before he departs for JMU. My husband and I opted for Eggs Chesapeake. The crab cakes were actually better than expected. And my nephew really enjoyed his breakfast sandwich. The Bloody Mary's were good and potent.

The food is decent. Unfortunately, the kitchen staff or the food being prepared may not be as clean the dining area. I found a piece of porcelain in my salad.

Yelp
There is street parking close by and also a pay to park lot if parallel parking isn't your thing. We (party of 5) went for Saturday brunch and everything was good. The waitress was super kind and checked on us regularly enough to catch if we needed something but not too regularly that we felt rushed. They start you off with cinnamon rolls which weren't anything magical but were good. We got the farmers omelet (4/5), breakfast pizza (5/5), French toast foster (3/5), eggs Benedict (4/5) and two egg breakfast with chocolate chip pancakes (3/5). Mimosas and Bloody Mary was good. I liked the cranberry better than the pineapple one but that's just personal preference. A couple notes on the meal. I was hesitant to get the breakfast pizza because I grew up with ukrops breakfast pizza so thought I might be disappointed. I wasn't at all! While it's not the same as ukrops, it holds its own with the sausage pieces and over easy eggs. The French toast foster was the most disappointing because it sounded DELICIOUS on the menu. It was a few pieces of French toast with a little bit of fruit and whipped cream. The bourbon sauce was good but the dish was pretty soggy because the bread didn't stand up to the toppings.

Yelp
We came in for veg*n food week (I'm not typing the full word because I wouldn't normally recommend them for veg*ns due to the limited options) The v chocolate molten lava cake was soooo good though. I hope they'll offer it more. We sat at the bar which was SO cute. This place has a vintage vibe which is lovely. Service was friendly and relatively quick although the bar was busy.

Yelp
Girls weekend start-excellent!! Service-We were looking at the menu in the window and the staff graciously allowed us to enter early to get out of the cold. Even though the kitchen wasn't open, they gave us a cup of coffee while we waited for the kitchen to open. Our waiter Danny was attentive, helpful, and polite. He consistently checked on us and made sure we were having a pleasant experience. Food-we had the pulled pork nachos, fish tacos, stake and cheese sandwich, crab cake, and fried green tomatoes. The food was awesome!!!! Overall experience-GREAT!!!!!

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining at Tarrant's Cafe on a recent business trip and I must say, it was a fantastic experience! I ordered the burger with sweet potato fries, and both were delicious. The burger was a little overcooked, but it was juicy and flavorful, while the sweet potato fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned--definitely a great pairing! What truly stood out was the staff. Even though it was close to closing time, they greeted us with warm smiles and provided attentive service, making us feel welcome and valued. Their friendliness really added to the overall experience. The decor of Tarrant's Cafe is charming and inviting, with a blend of rustic and modern elements. The warm lighting and cozy booths create a relaxed atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal. The walls are filled with unique artwork, adding a local touch that reflects the vibrant spirit of Richmond.

Yelp
We visited Tarrant's for restaurant week on Friday night. The restaurant is a Richmond staple and we were excited to try its restaurant week offerings! The pumpkin hummus was my favorite dish of the night topped with candied nuts and dried cranberries, it was delicious. The poutine was made with shoestring fries, which was a nice surprise. Could have used more gravy, and the bacon was not my personal favorite- but a great dish nonetheless! I got the vegan entree, the green tahini sauce was the star of the show. So flavorful! The rice was so perfectly cooked and the crispy cauliflower was the perfect main. A little heavy on the chickpeas for my liking. The chicken and mac & cheese was exactly what you would expect from a comfort food dish. A non-baked Mac kept the dish moist and decadent. The chicken was yummy and crispy, but would have loved more of the hot honey! Unfortunately the desserts were wildly underwhelming compared the treats they serve on their main menu. So small, and didn't even want to eat it.

Yelp
In the past this place has been phenomenal. When I recently visited on a Saturday for brunch it was only 11am and they did not have any champagne nor did they have fat washed bourbon(which they claim was a specialty they create there in house). The food was okay but not great and the restaurant was not packed. I'm not sure what was going on that day..

Yelp
I recently went to Tarrant's Cafe Downtown for a work lunch. The service was excellent, and the Mozzarella sticks were fully loaded with cheese--just perfect! The hummus, though flavorful, was thinner than I'm used to. I tried the smash burger, which featured two patties slightly thicker than a traditional smash burger, but the addition of fried jalapenos really elevated the flavor. The side of corn and bean relish turned out to be more like a cole slaw, which was unexpected, but I was able to enjoy some of coworker's delicious sweet potato fries!

Yelp
Restaurant Review: Tarrant's Location: Presumed to be somewhere bustling with charm, Tarrant's exudes a cozy vibe with an American-inspired menu. Ambiance: Tarrant's truly shines during the winter holidays, with festive decor that sets a warm, welcoming tone. Sitting at the bar offered a casual yet refined atmosphere, perfect for solo diners or those seeking lively interactions with staff and fellow patrons. The lighting was just right--dim enough for an intimate feel, but bright enough to admire the holiday-themed setup. Food: 1. Sledgehammer Burger: Aptly named, this burger is a beast in flavor and size. The perfectly seasoned beef patty was juicy and cooked to order. Toppings were fresh and abundant, with melty cheese and crisp veggies creating a great contrast. The bun held up well despite the heft of the ingredients, making each bite indulgent but manageable. 2. Seafood Combo: A solid pick for seafood lovers. This dish delivered a variety of expertly cooked seafood--likely fried or broiled to perfection. The portion size was generous, and each item retained its individual flavors. 3. She Crabby Soup: A standout! This soup was rich, creamy, and loaded with tender crab meat. The hint of sherry elevated the flavor, balancing the creaminess with a subtle sweetness. Served warm, it was the perfect comfort dish for a winter evening. Service: Sitting at the bar meant quick and attentive service. The bartender was knowledgeable, offering excellent drink pairings and engaging in light conversation. Overall: Tarrant's combines a festive atmosphere, excellent food, and attentive service, making it a top spot for a cozy winter dining experience. Whether you're craving hearty burgers or seafood, or just want to sip soup by the bar, this restaurant delivers. Rating: 9/10 + could of got a 10/10 but the manger was disappointing , as he was unable to accommodate our table of 5 . Luckily we saw seats at the bar and the Bartender saved the day . Traveling from out of town checking out a local spot didn't think we'd need reservations but trust "I" know now . Manager just needs to work on finding away to get us seated versus telling us to check the restaurant across the street Booooooooo And for that my friend you get a 0/10

Yelp
Just returned from dinner with my gf and couldn't wait to speak about this restaurant. The food was great, the vide you get from inside just feels incredibly welcoming. What really stands out though was the service. Our server was Eli or Elijah and he was incredible from his menu knowledge to his ability to give incredible service without hovering around the table. I spoke to him at length and for someone his age he really understands what it means to deliver not just great service but an experience you just can't forget. In addition to Eli, we spoke to Olivia the GM who just exuded what she expects from her staff and how much pride she took in delivering that kind of experience. I assure you with that kind of leadership your time at Tarrants Cafe will be memorable

Yelp
I loved the she crab soup from here and sometimes ordered multiple times out the day when I was sick; however, I ordered tonight and I was extremely disappointment. They've changed the recipe and now it has some type of dumpling and the sauce is white. It was gross. Please go back to the old recipe this isn't it. I also didn't get the bread that normally comes with it. It was left out of my order.

Yelp
Very lively bar and restaurant in the Arts District of Richmond. Housed in an old classic building, there was a lot of vintage decor and classic paintings on the walls. Seemed popular so we decided to go in for dinner. No complaints about the service - we were greeted at the door, seated right away, had a fabulous attentive server who was fast and friendly. Sadly our food was just ok. Flavor was good. But both the salmon and the blackened rockfish were overcooked. The balsamic drizzle that I had been looking forward to with the rockfish was hardened on the plate - as if it had been left under a heat lamp for an extended amount of time. Brownie dessert was great. Massive brownie and tons of vanilla ice cream to share.

Yelp
Tarrant's has an old school feel with a lot of dark wood on the interior in a historic building in downtown Richmond. Our waiter was friendly and did an effective job. We shared a half pear salad which had everything but the kitchen sink in it. I'm talking chickpeas, cucumbers, tomatoes, grapes, goat cheese, and craisins. They threw everything they had back in the kitchen into it but the dressing was excellent. We both enjoyed our pizzas. I had the Hawaiian with diced ham, pineapple, & caramelized onions. I liked the way all of the toppings were the same size and the crust had excellent crunch. We were also pleased they had Falcon Smash on tap-one of our fav IPAs! The prices at Tarrant's were very reasonable compared to comparable downtown spots.

Yelp
We checked out tarrants cafe for brunch and we were not disappointed! Our friendly server informed us as we put our order in that the large pizza was well....very large and she was right! The eggs on top were cooked perfectly as well. My husband ordered a hot honey chicken sandwich that he enjoyed though he said it had little to no heat but that was nothing the hot sauce didn't fix! Service and food were great and we will be returning for brunch soon!

Yelp
Best garlic bread ever! Service was excellent. Had not been there in several years but was glad to see that they are still serving good food.

Yelp
Vibes: The decor is charming, and you have to love a good old historical Richmond building. Service: Our waitress was friendly but hard to find. The bartender noticed that we were looking for her, and that our drinks were empty. She stepped over and started to help with our service. It felt like she was more of are server. Appetizers: The appetizers are good however, I wish portion sizes were better. I have been with a group of two people and a group of sex and they always seem to bring out a small plate with just a few pieces on it. Entrées: The food is good however, it's slightly bland. The flavors are there but I just wish there was more. The crab soup is always good and definitely the reason that I keep coming back.

Yelp
I was in the area and since I had been to Tarrants West many times; I thought I'd give their downtown location a try. It was a hot July afternoon and during Happy Hour, so I figured my timing was perfect. I love the atmosphere and felt somewhat transported back in time. I sat at the bar, which to me is a drawback, but they don't offer Happy Hour pricing in the seated portion of the restaurant. The bartender was very friendly although he seemed a little distracted. I'm not sure if he was new or not but he didn't really seem to know where things were behind the bar. We ordered a margarita and a chardonnay. Both drinks were enjoyable although my wine wasn't as chilled as I think it should have been. We also ordered fried green tomatoes which were really excellent. I ordered a second glass of wine, but the bartender informed me that they were out of chardonnay. I was very surprised that a bar would allow itself to run out of such a staple wine. After about 15 minutes he said that they actually had found a bottle but it wasn't chilled. I went ahead and ordered a glass thinking to myself that the first one wasn't very cold anyway. All in all we enjoyed ourselves and would go back again.

Yelp
We had a great time grabbing drinks and dinner before catching a show at Altria. I loved that we were able to grab a table with no reservation. It was a Tuesday night and the place was very crowded! Enjoyed the meal, but my one point of struggle was how long it took to get our food. As I said, it was busy and we were in a rush so I don't blame the restaurant for this. We are excited to return when we have more time to enjoy this quirky and cool spot.

Yelp
Ohhhh, it was GOOOOD. I had the she crab soup and a salad with a generous helping of scallops. I was so impressed. The other two in my party had a sandwich and a pizza and they both loved their meals too. I had an old-fashioned, which was just perfectly made. The ambiance is cozy, comfortable, and warm. The service is very friendly and efficient. Our meals came out fast. My friend found this spot and I was thinking we were going somewhere else, but was pleasantly surprised when we wound up here instead. What a gem!

Yelp
I went to a company holiday luncheon here with my co-workers, and it was okay. We had a reservation, and we're seated right away. It seemed like a nice little lunch spot around the corner from work. We ordered a couple of appetizers, crab cakes, and mozzarella sticks. oth were good, The mozzarella sticks were huge, but that made me happy.. the crab cakes were seasoned really well and made me wish I had more. My entree was salmon, with wild rice and mashed potatoes. Everything tasted good, but the mashed potatoes were served almost cold. That kind of ruined it for me. I hate cold food. Service, the service was okay. Our server was really nice and friendly and kept the drinks topped off while we were there. RmThe one thing I wasn't happy to see was the bartender, a young guy, openly blowing him nose, wiping it, and I could see and hear it was a lot from w tables away. Then... I watched him throw it away and just go right back to making drinks without washing his hands. That was disturbing to witness. 2 hrs later, 3 of us were having stomach cramps, and we were trying to determine what we ate that caused it. The culprit was the crab cakes. They were good going down but must have caused the stomach issues afterward.

Yelp
Cool place in historic Richmond Virginia. Very attentive staff. Great service and above average food. Only been there once. Look forward to going back.

Yelp
I visited Tarrant's cafe on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. The decor and space is very charming. I love historical buildings in our city. Tarrant's Cafe used to be a drugstore that sold glasses and all kinds of remedies. The natural light that poured through the white curtains gave the space a cozy feel. The best part was the bar with the chandelier and old "prescriptions" sign. It was very busy when I visited and there seemed to be only three servers. It took a little time to be seated and get order, but this didn't bother me too much. The waiter I got was extremely kind. I highly recommend coming for their "Pick Two $12.95" lunch special. It's available Monday through Friday before 4pm as of April 2023. You get to pick a half sandwich with a salad or soup. I ordered the special with the one fish taco and paid extra for the she-crab soup ($5.95 extra). While I waited for my meal by the window with its deliciously diffused natural light, I daydreamed about coming back in the evenings playing card games with some drinks. When my food finally came I was so happy to eat. I really liked the she-crab soup. I finished every last bite. The chips that came with my meal were fine, some were a little soggy. I wasn't impressed with my fish taco. It was a bit too plain for my liking. I would like to come back to try more. They don't only serve comfort food here, but comfort itself too.

Yelp
My friend and I stopped in just to grab a drink. We were greeted by the most beautiful smile from waitress Kristin. She was really patient with us because my friend had no clue what she wanted. Very attentive and had the most positive attitude. My experience with her alone made me want to go back but the buffalo wings were amazing. The sauce ... not sure who made it but probably one of the best buffalo sauce I've ever had. Great flavor. The mozzarella sticks were good! Bigger than I thought but still fire. The place has an awesome ambiance and vibe. I already recommended this place to like 3 people haha
google avatar

Yelp
Liked food, service and ambiance. We had Thanksgiving menu. Liked it. Would go back. Yes.

Yelp
We stopped her because they are one of few restaurants in the city that has pretty long kids menu and it was my toddler daughters birthday. Vibes: It's super chill here and has a classic vibe. It seems like a place that has been around for a while and could be a neighborhood staple but it's in downtown. It's not upscale but also not super casual. Just a good place to go, hang out with an old friend, bring family, and eat a solid meal (no frills and thrills) Service: Our waiter was very attentive to us and offered many suggestions. Truly no complaints on this front Appetizers: We ordered the Brussels sprouts and honestly we should've skipped it. It had potential with feta cheese and balsamic drizzle conceptually speaking but it was too burnt. Entrees: My husband ordered the Bianca pizza and LOVED IT. Delicious pizza with no complaints and even added bacon which made it better. I ordered the lasagna which was average-- nothing bad but nothing great. With a little salt and cheese it got better for me! My toddler liked the chicken tender and fries meal which is a standard option for little tots. Overall I think it s a great family spot and I didn't feel "out of place" bringing my toddler on a Saturday night which is great!
google avatar

Stephanie N.

Yelp
2nd time there and it was amazing! The scallops were perfectly cooked and my friend said the chicken was amazing. The server was great and very nice, we liked her suggestion of the mocktail special. Not too loud or busy and the booth offered privacy. Will be back!

Yelp
We meet a friend for dinner here on a Thursday night. It is located in downtown Richmond so parking can be a challenge. It is all street parking. We found a spot a block over off of Broad St. We had a reservation and got seated. Our waiter was pretty good. We ordered some drinks and they seemed to take a while to get. But the food came out quickly and it was overall very good. My wife and friend had the fish tacos and I went with a special Chicken Pot Pie. Both entrees were good! Pretty cool place to go to!
google avatar

Marshall D.

Yelp
Tarrant's Cafe offers a wide selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, entrees and sides in a historical looking venue. My wife and I enjoyed Bloody's before settling on the fried green tomatoes for her, served with homemade chips. I went with the club sandwich. It was presented well and a solid option. Our server Ryan is a delightful young woman. She made it an enjoyable experience.
google avatar

Keturah D.

Yelp
The drinks are strong but the rest of the visit goes downhill from there. I completely understand being in the industry for awhile but if you cannot remember every substitution I ask for you need to use a pen and paper (Jocelyn J.) In addition to that if you mess up and I have to keep getting up to get your attention you don't get to be upset and avoid the table you made mistakes at. Taking simple accountability would have made this review nonexistent. Perhaps if you go here and get another server you will have a better visit than I did. I got the crab cakes and honestly they were a 3/10. I wouldn't get them again but their potato fries that are served in the brunch menu was fantastic. To summarize: yes to the potato's and a heavy drink, everything else meh.

Michele P.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place on our way to their sister restaurant (Bar Solita) which was closed. Based on the menu posted on the window, we decided to have lunch here. Did not disappoint. Old school charm, in a beautiful historic building, with dark wood and chandeliers give it a cozy vibe. Service was outstanding. Have never had she-crab soup, so nothing to compare it to, but it was rich, creamy, and perfect for a chilly day. Would def order it again. Pear salad was also robust, fresh and delicious. Owner was on-site and spoke with us about their other restaurants. We have Tarrants' other location on our list of restaurants to check out!
google avatar

Audrey C.

Yelp
I order takeout here once every few months and am always so pleased. Easily the best chicken caesar wrap I've ever had. Staff has always been so sweet as well.
google avatar

Alex Z.

Yelp
I feel like I got ripped off ordering the lunch special. Help me do the math. The regular menu taco comes with two tacos for $14 and lunch special has one taco and I chose a cup of she crab soup but it's extra which is the same price if you order from regular menu. So I spent $2 less to have one less taco. They could have tell me that there's only one taco in the lunch special, the special is that it's basically more expensive. The taco is not big at all kinda blend there's a little sauce in the bottom but didn't really bring out any flavor. The soup is mediocre, very thick and some cooking wine taste but really lack of crab flavor and I can't even tell there's any crab meat.

Autumn S.

Yelp
All I wanted was an Eggplant Stack and a Caesar Salad, and that's exactly what I got. The servers are super friendly and quick with their service. The food is delicious, and I loved eating here.

Judith E.

Yelp
We went in for Sunday brunch, which was fabulous. My dad enjoyed the 'Frenchie' - french toast with pecans, strawberries, bananas, and whipped cream. While mom and I loved our crab cake Benedict. The crab cake was made simply with crab and served with tomato and poached eggs and buttery but minimal hollandaise on English muffins. They often offer little fried dough cinnamon 'rolls' on the house as you await your order. The show stealer was the crab soup which they are known for. Super creamy with sherry and lots of flavor, it's worth the almost $9/cup. Lovely ambience and friendly staff add to the experience. Historic broad street location.

Yelp
Really good but, not great. Service was good, but not that attentive. Location is outstanding especially if you are a theater goer. Decor was stunning and definitely a wow factor. Overall, it's good. But not great.

Cassie M.

Yelp
I went here on Saturday evening & it was busy with prom goers. So service was on the slower side. The food itself was really good, though. I got an order of the crab + spinach dip which was good & we were able to sub out the crackers for all pita chips. Entree wise I got the chicken melt & sweet potato fries, both were cooked well & tasty! I also had the other half of the calzone which was scrumptious, even just microwaved the next day. I topped it off with the brownie sundae but was overall disappointed by it. It simply didn't seem like anything special to me, & was definitely not worth $10. We both liked the brownie sundae at Texas Roadhouse better than here. So I'd recommend trying one of their more unique desserts.

Yelp
Great restaurant for lunch or dinner. The honey fried chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries are awesome .

Yelp
Tried the calamari and an old fashioned. Calamari was trash. Lacked seasoning and the sauce wasn't hitting for nothing. They need to go try bonefish or longhorn's calamari for some inspiration. Old fashioned was straight but for what is supposed to be a Richmond staple, I was a little disappointed in the OG Tarrants location.

Nicole D.

Yelp
Charming American restaurant with cute seasonal cocktails and mocktails. Our waitress Nadia was thoughtful and friendly, as were all the employees we interacted with. The complementary garlic bread was very tasty - hot and fresh with real garlic on top!! The buffalo cauliflower appetizer was a must have -- tangy with a slight crisp-- the perfect texture. The blue cheese dip had real blue cheese chunks in it! The white Bianca pizza was also delicious, you can tell they put a lot of effort into making a nice crust. The fries were hot and fresh with a nice seasoning on top. The goat cheese and pear salad was very tasty and fresh. All entrees had a generous portion size. 10/10 would recommend, a great addition to our birthday celebrations!! Thank you!

Yelp
Service great. Blake is awesome! Staff works as team. Food delish. Recommend the pizza and grilled scallops

Mariam A.

Yelp
A really disappointing experience. We couldn't wait any longer to get our food after waiting almost 2 hours because we had a show to catch. I understand the service being really backed up but there wasn't good communication from the staff either.

Yelp
We came here for brunch on Saturday, it was such a cozy spot. The dining area was decorated really well and received a lot of natural sunlight. The service was excellent, our waiter checked on us and chatted with us throughout the meal. The food was hearty and delicious, overall an excellent spot, highly recommend!

Yelp
Rolled up on this place purely by accident passing through town on a Friday night. It was packed (always a good sign right?) so we sat at the bar with two amazing bartenders & ordered the specials: Meatloaf & Hot Brown, both with garlic mashed potatoes (beautifully piped on the plate - I love that!) & perfectly cooked fresh green beans. WINNERS! Great drinks too! A perfect $5 a old fashioned & a blackberry mint mule... bartenders are even better when they recommend the berry cobbler with ice cream for dessert! How could we say no? Amazing meal, cool vibe (it used to be a pharmacy), nice decor, nice staff & super great bartenders... if you're in Richmond, this place is great!

Yelp
I'm typing in words because Yelp makes me. Food good, service good, ambiance good. So I am typing more because I didn't use enough letters.

Yelp
Had the place to ourselves for dinner which was nice. It'd been three years or so since my last visit. I've always loved the space, decor, music here. Even though it's a large space it's cozy and warming. Service was great, as expected since we were one of few tables. Food was delicious, from the she crab soup to my grilled mahi mahi sandwich. Tar rants is always a good option when in the city.

Yelp
Ordinarily this place is out of this world. Tonight, there was a bug on my colleagues club sandwich. Sort of hard to recover from this.

I enjoyed this place, my fiancé and I went for our 1st year anniversary. A nice casual dinner between us two. We had the mozzarella sticks as an appetizer, which are completely worth it and homemade. This is big enough to share or take some home for later! For our entrees I had the pan seared salmon with a creamy lemon sauce which came with wild rice and green beans, it was good the sauce was a little overwhelming but was bearable with the salmon and rice. My fiancé had the blackened rockfish with the coconut risotto, which was pretty good from what I could remember. I don't remember our servers name but he was knowledgeable about the menu and gave recommendations as needed.

Yelp
I first want to start by saying we made a reservation for Thanksgiving our reservation was set for 8:00 a.m. when we arrived they did not have a reservation they pushed it back till 8:30 after having to wait for 30 minutes we get to our table and start food service we order drinks and there is a roach in our martini they replaced the drink fine we order more food there was hair in our food there was cross-contamination in our food because there is no way there should be anything green inside of a turtle cheesecake The food was over salted I am very disappointed the one year that I chose to have a relaxing Thanksgiving and not cook for my entire family we bring them to this well recommended restaurant and establishment and was thoroughly disappointed when the end of the night came in the check came I was charged for everything so for a meal for six people I spent well over $400 for terrible food terrible service there's no way I can get that money back there's no way I can get that time back I would like to thank the restaurant for ruining my family time on Thanksgiving

Yelp
I haven't been to Tarrant's in YEARSSS so I was excited to go back. All of my food was amazing, but I didn't like the she crab soup. I tasted the Sherry Wine too much. The crab cake, salad, crab and spinach dip, and everything else I got was amazing. Service was great too! I'll be back more often.
