We were a family group of 10 booked for dinner. The quaint restaurant offered wonderful welcome, suitably furnished, friendly staff, prompt service and even with one or two mishaps, everything was sorted and handled with detailed attention. Our food was top notch and for 10 people to all be satisfied and happy, I think says a lot.

Visited the Tartine for the first time for Sunday lunch. Staff were very engaging, friendly and welcoming. The lunch menu has a good selection and we decided to go for 3 courses. All three courses were excellent, well presented, delicious and satisfying. It's been a long time since I enjoyed a meal as much as this. The building is historic and as such expect lower beams , exposed walls and differing levels, this adds to the charm. I would highly recommend this to locals and tourists visiting. It will definitely become a regular spot for us. 10/12/24 update - if I could give more than 5 stars I would, Sunday lunch today was simply perfection. From the warm atmosphere the team here create, to the delicious food that challenges your stomachs capacity as you don't want to leave one crumb uneaten! I recommend this establishment to all my clients and this latest visit has just reinforced why.

Made us stand at the door only for minutes to let us know that they are fully booked when we walked into an empty restaurant. The place did not looked booked. Maybe it’s because we have coloured skin that they didn’t let us eat there. Might be a racist place.

We had dinner at this restaurant with our family recently, and overall, the food and ambiance were excellent. The dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting—perfect for a family evening out. However, we did have a concerning experience at the beginning. We arrived without a reservation, which we understood might make it difficult to get a table. When I approached one of the waiters to ask, he immediately told me there were no tables available as they were fully booked. That was disappointing, but fair enough. What struck us, though, was that when my wife asked another staff member—a waitress—just moments later, she took the time to check and kindly let us know that there was in fact a table available. In fact, we noticed that there were at least 2–3 empty tables. This inconsistency left us feeling uncomfortable, as if we were not welcomed by the first person we spoke to. It’s hard not to wonder if it had something to do with the fact that we’re not from the same country. We don’t want to jump to conclusions, but the difference in attitude between the two staff members was stark, and it made us feel like outsiders. We’re grateful to the kind waitress who helped us, and we truly enjoyed the food. But we hope the restaurant can ensure all guests are treated with the same courtesy and care, regardless of where they’re from.

We have had many visits to Tartine when up on the North Coast and never been disappointed. Went twice last week for the early menu. My husband had the steak on both occasions and it was cooked to perfection. I had the chicken and pork. Puddings were lovely. The service was very. Booking is definitely advisable. Favourite restaurant in Bushmills.

Somewhere we come back to time and time again. The service and food are exceptional and the staff a total delight. We’d particularly recommend the early bird menu in terms of value. It never disappoints!

For what we got disappointing. I had turkey and ham. My wife had roast beef. The food came out quite quickly the roast beef was well cooked but was just an average Roast beef dinner The turkey and ham well.. was edible is what I will say. The ham had no flavour and the turkey was on the dry side.. it came with 3 cocktail sausages (well over cooked) 2 bacon wrapped stuffing. One was fine the other was a bit sour. Side dishes was 3 bowls for 2 people. First bowl mashed cream potatoes ( fine no complaints but I could have eaten it myself) second bowl. Parsnips and carrots 6 pieces 3 slices of carrots and 3 parsnip. bowl 3 . cauliflower with cheese sauce with melted cheese on top . They must have run out of sauce and cheese it was cauli with a bit of burnt cheese in top .. pudding for the both of us was sticky toffee pudding. We had to ask for it to be served cos the wait was getting a bit long Top of the cake was very dry and it seemed as if it had been sitting a for a couple of days everyone knows what a cake is like after a few days the bottom was moist in the caramel sauce , sauce was fine. Over all rating for a £60 plus meal for 2. 5/10. First time in 30 years we did not leave a tip..

Yelp
The experience here is truly reflective of Irish hospitality. Greeted on entrance to this old and authentic Irish building by good drinks and the smell of beautiful food. I had the smoked salmon to start followed by amazing seabass thermidor. Both were beautifully prepared and presented. This is a hidden gem on the north coast, buried in historic Bushmills, The distillers arms is somewhere to hunt out.

Yelp
This is a great place to stop for a bite before or after a tour of the neighbouring Bushmills distillery. The meals are generous and really tasty. The atmosphere was comfortable and warm. The service is warm and friendly. My only complaint was that it was a bit slow. BF and I made it in just at the edge of the Sunday brunch price break. We didn't have anything to drink besides water, but even that was classy, served with triple citrus wedges. The soup was warming and lovely, and my lamb shank was falling-off-the-bone tender. Served on a bed of champ, with extra potatoes on the side. We finished with a Baileys creme brulee which was spot on. BF's coffee was served with a minty chocolate. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food we got. It was a chilly Sunday and they had every reason to take their time; as soon as we told them we were in a bit of a rush at the end, the servers got us the bill quickly and we were able to be out of there fast. If you like potatoes with your potatoes, lovely food, a warm atmosphere with art and jazz, and a crackling wood fire while you wait for a table, choose the Distiller's Arms.

Yelp
The Distillers Arms has developed a new bistro restaurant called Tartine. Recently I went here with a couple of people to try the Early Evening menu - £18 for two courses and a large glass of wine. The menu was quite varied but had all the classic country pub dishes such as pâté, gammon and soup of the day as well as more innovative choices like Seabass on Mediterranean salad and bushmills sausage starter. I had a few too many wines the night before and was looking forward to a good hangover feed so I was delighted to find the 80s Classic chicken Maryland on the menu and Caesar salad for starter. The food quality was pretty standard and the chicken was a bit burned but the portion sizes were so big that I just left the burned bits and still had plenty. Over all I think it was pretty good value for money and the venue has a very pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. Definitely one to try if you're in the area.

Yelp
Seemed like a nice place. My sister and I walked in hoping to be served at the bar but as we pulled out our stools we were informed that they were only a restaurant. I was perplexed, as there were people sitting with drinks in a lounge directly adjacent and the aforementioned conversation was taking place directly in front of a bar with a bartender standing right behind it, but whatever - we took the hint.

Yelp
The BEST food I've had in Ireland. Anything on the menu seems to be a delight. The only problem is deciding what to order and what to leave for another day!

Yelp
Wanted to celebrate our first dinner in Ireland but didn't want too heavy or large a meal. They have a 2 course with glass of house wine for £16 from 5pm to 6:30. Both the selection and time suited us perfectly. We ordered the crumbed Brie as a starter which we shared. Mr had the pork 3 ways, which he enjoyed. It came with green beans and a side dish of roast potatoes. My Maryland chicken was nicely crumbed and came with hot battered banana, a creamed corn garnish and a side of chips. We shared an apple crumble with ice cream and custard. Definitely value for money.

Yelp
One of two excellent restaurants in Bushmills, the other being the Bushmills Inn. Have had some wonderful meals here and a couple of fantastic New Year's Eve events. Living fairly locally experience tells me you must book early for events i.e. Fathers/Mother's Day, Easter etc. Gets very busy in the Summer. Varied menu and food always well prepared and presented. Have taken visitors here on a number of occasions and never been let down. Limited parking to the rear of the establishment through an archway. On street parking but you may have to park a hundred yards or so away. Prices will not make your eyes water. No music which sometimes can be a blessing.

Yelp
Great meal but had to wait a while to be seated - recommend you book and not just turn up as we did. Last orders are early- 20:30 so book early.

Yelp
My wife and I treated ourselves to a meal at Tartine yesterday evening and I have to say it was great. The starters, main and dessert all arrived with little waiting time. The food was high quality, service was great with plenty of staff to cater to all needs. Full bar. Tea served with the desserts. Lighting and atmosphere was superb. Car parking in the rear of the restaurant was good. They allow 2 hours for a meal, before next booking - but the time flew as we enjoyed ourselves with the food and drink. The menu is large with a good diverse range of food, steak, chicken, duck, pasta, fish you name it its here. The starters are good sized as well. My only problem was deciding what to order as each of the choices were as tempting as the other. Will definitely come again.
