Great exhibition about the history of astronomical research! Historical, well preserved environment. Consider booking a guided tour if you are more than just 1-2 people as it's not too costly and the guides are very good and provide interesting facts (at least the one we had). Ask about the possibility to visit the terrace up the tower. Well worth visiting, one of the prime attractions in Tartu!

Great historic observatory and a UNESCO WHS site because of its Struve Geodetic connections. Very interesting displays and exhibits. Loved it!

Very nice museum, there’s even exit to the balcony. The exposition is in Estonian and English, many activities for children. 4€ for an adult

Nice place to visit during your time in Tartu. It's historical and part of the exhibition is interactive. Also, visit a roof balcony.

A lovely small museum filled with history on astrophysics. Interesting both for kids and adults with no previous knowledge 😃

Not bad! Shows how astronomy developed in Estonia. Original historical telescopes. Although expositions could be a bit less boring. Definitely climb upstairs to the balcony and observatory room.

Excellent little museum! Explains the history of the observatory and of astronomy in Estonia and the Baltics! The guide who took us around was lovely and very knowledgeable and showed us the rotating observatory!
