This was hands down one of the best experiences that we had in Lisbon. We were very fortunate enough to stumble across this amazing restaurant on October 16th. We had originally planned a different dinner spot that night but we ended up not staying at that location. As we were walking around, I happened to hear music coming from inside the restaurant but the doors were closed. We did not want to interrupt so we stayed outside the door looking at the hours of operation trying to figure out if we could do a reservation for the following day. Soon enough the main hostess, Marcella, who we absolutely adore and was beyond amazing in her hospitality towards us, came outside and said if we were looking to take part in dinner. We let her know we would love it but we saw that the show had already started and we do not want to interrupt what was happening because we heard that during this time there shouldn't be any interruptions for the performers. She said it was no problem and guided us into the restaurant and put us on a side table so that we could watch the current set. From there the evening just became super magical. The set menu which was roughly 60 Euro per person was spectacular. The appetizers that came out first was a smorgasbord of food, spices, and unbelievable flavors. We each were able to get a bottle of wine and hands down paired so well with all the food that came out. Again I can't say enough how much we enjoyed our experience here especially the live music where we were able to see at least three sets from the time we sat down roughly around 10:00 p.m. to the time we left which is around 2:00 a.m.. If you are looking for an amazing experience, delicious and delectable homemade food, and amazing hospitality please please please please please please go here.

A cozy and authentic spot in the heart of Alfama, perfect for a true Fado experience. We spent a beautiful evening with family and a Portuguese friend—it felt like being at home, the owners are warm and welcoming, and the set menu offers a great variety of traditional dishes. Plan to spend around 4 hours to fully enjoy the meal, dessert, and the full Fado show. It’s a slow, soulful experience, just as it should be. And don’t forget to bring cash! We love the place and will sure come back every time we r in Lisbon.

We had a wonderful experience here last weekend. The food was delicious and the performances were incredible (especially the young guitarist with the neck tattoos- wow). The staff were extremely friendly and attentive while the atmosphere was quite intimate- it felt like we were dining in someone’s private home. Come hungry as the courses just keeping on coming - we had trouble making it to dessert!

This is great place to listen to Fado and enjoy unlimited house wine. Food is plenty and ok, but certainly not culinary experience. We have stayed from 8-12 so be prepared for long stay. They serve various foods between fado performances, and because this is all about Fado, food must be easy to serve and prepared ahead of time. 57.50 euro per person buys you unlimited house wine, very average and lengthy meal and great fado music experience.

Wow what a gem! we were blown away by all performers, I had chills for majority of the evening. really really beautiful. the atmosphere is really charming as well, you feel like you are at someone’s home- very cosy! value for money was also great, 57eur for 3 hours of fado (3 different singers), bottomless drinks and several courses of food- we were very full by the end of the evening. overall a must if you are in lisbon!

I dreamt a lot about a Fado Night. With the help of a colleague I heard about Tasca da Bela, I flew from Turkey, and I was here. The whole night was just I dreamt about. The restaurant is very little and traditional. You have the bread in a basket, but under the bread there is a lace just like in Turkey. Even the little toilet is very cute. The starters are enough and delicious. Then you have a tasty soup. Then the main dish comes, morina fish with spinach and rice. Then the dessert came. You have a vine alternatives as red, white, green, and rose. There is no limit until the end. There were four singers. The songs were wonderful. The owner, Annabelle is very nice and kind. It is 55€ for each person. It is very good price for that night. I strongly advise the place. Thanks a lot.

We were the end of September, a dinner evening with fado music! What a cosy atmosphere, singers and musicians who put their emotions in their songs. Be-a-u-tiful! Just keep in mind it's a very small place, also with sitting really close to neighbour-tables. We had to leave around 23h but I believe still one singer had to perform
